My husband and I travelled to the resort for a couples getaway. We have been to several of the other excellence and finest properties, including excellence Punta Cana, excellence Riviera Maya, excellence Playa Mujeres & finest Playa Mujeres. We stayed in the beachfront honeymoon suite with private pool and upgraded to the excellence club category. 1) overall resort is beautiful and well-maintained. Very clean, friendly staff, lovely vibe. Our room was direct access to the beach. It was spacious and a great location close to the excellence club pool and excellence club beach area. 2) nightly entertainment was typical for an all inclusive with a mix of different shows in the theatre each night. The overall vibe of the resort is family friendly, and though there were couples there, this is definitely geared more for families. There were several weddings going on with receptions outdoors in the evening. I didn’t find the music disruptive, but it definitely could be an issue for some people if they want to sit on their balcony for a quiet relaxing evening. 3) the beach was very clean and free of seaweed. There were lots of chairs and daybeds on the excellence club side and the service was great. Only thing to consider with this resort is the beach can be quite windy and the surf makes it difficult to spend a lot of time in the water. The yellow flag was up every day with some days having a red flag. The beach is wide and lots of room to walk a long way in both directions. 4) the food was inconsistent. The main buffet was underwhelming. Coffee was not great and the mimosa station was empty both times I went there. Room service was not good. We ordered three times and though it did arrive fairly quickly , I did not finish any of the meals. The excellence club restaurant Dommo was mediocre. Churro station was not great. Very hard stale and cold. We did enjoy the Brass Steakhouse and Lizo Mexican. Overall hit and miss with the food. Overall, we had a great time. a few areas for improvement for finest Punta Cana , but overall a great vacation.

We were at the Excellence Club in Dec 2024. The property is beautiful. I had a serious trip and fall on Dec 19. on the connecting property, the Finest, due to their negligence in marking an uneven surface with paint and a caution sign. . These issues were not handled...

We were at the Excellence Club in Dec 2024. The property is beautiful. I had a serious trip and fall on Dec 19. on the connecting property, the Finest, due to their negligence in marking an uneven surface with paint and a caution sign. . These issues were not handled in a professional or timely manner by the resort staff, no incident report was taken, nor was the issue reported to the resort management. I was assured that the uneven surface would be addressed immediately. Unfortunately, by December 25th, no corrective action had been taken, nor were warning signs placed to protect other guests. In fact, 2 days after my fall, I observed another guest tripped but didn’t fall. On the afternoon of December 20th, I approached the reception desk to speak directly with the hotel manager and was handed over to customer relations. At this meeting, an incident report was finally completed, security was involved, and I was escorted to the clinic. The doctor at the clinic took another incident report but informed me that a physical examination would incur a charge to me. The hotel would not cover that charge. The manager offered to reimburse my stay and when I accepted he retracted the offer. All he offered to do was make reservations at restaurants, which I didn't require. Later that day, I received a call to schedule a meeting with the hotel manager for 10:00 AM on December 21st. During the meeting, I was accompanied by a personal injury lawyer who explained to Pedro De Montaner, the hotel manager, that the uneven surface posed a safety hazard and constituted negligence on the part of the property. Pedro initially offer to cover my room expenses as compensation, an offer I accepted after some discussion. However, he promptly retracted this offer, claiming he only intended to assist with restaurant reservations, not provide any form of compensation. Such a response is entirely was unacceptable. After returning from vacation, my family physician ordered X-rays, which confirmed a crack in the second rib on the left side. I continue to experience pain on the left side of my body, as a result of this injury. On January 16th I send off several emails to personal at the company, with attached letter of the incident hoping it would fall into someone of responsibility. On Jan 16, I received an email from customer service that they would contact me with 16 days. They did not. After several attempts to have customer service deal with the issue, It is now March 5 and still no further correspondence. You decide if you want to stay at a resort that has unmarked hazards , management that doesn't deal with serious injuries properly, staff that barely speaks English, no possibility of talking to head office because they don't have contact names or numbers.

It's taken me a minute to digest how HORRIBLE our stay was here when we went to scope it out for our wedding...boy was I glad we stayed her to be able to cross it off our list! Checked in they knew we were scoping it out and it was our anniversary weekend. The only nice thing was the room and the decorations. A letter from the manager full of lies. Our " special romantic dinner" was simply a bottle of champagne (that's included in the drink package as is) and waiting 20 min for them to put us at a table in the steak restaurant (food was disappointing and bland). The champagne breakfast in bed we stood at the check in desk filling out the form ordering our food for Sunday 8am... 8:15 no food, 8:30 no food. Now we are hangry and disappointed concierge wouldn't answer our calls, had to go to the front deak to speak to someone. No one knew anything about it and the ONLY breakfast open was the mediocre buffet. Not to mention your options for breakfast and lunch are literally the buffet or food truck/beach grill. Restaurants only open for dinner and even then not all of them are open. Now let's get to the vibe...this place is eerily quiet. It was the last weekend of January (high season , the other resorts completely booked out and we could only do a day pass or meet with the wedding team for a tour) pools were empty maybe 15 ppl , only thing to do was bingo at 3pm, at night the hotel lobby bar was the "happening place" you can see in the photos how empty it was. We were super stoked for karakoke at 9pm... photo was from 9:05 pm one guy and it never happened. The other bar open was the sports bar...2 people in it... again where are all the people?!?!? Food is mediocre on an all inclusive scale , service was poor, manager wouldn't even come out and talk to us when we checked out early to go do the day pass at another resort before our flight that evening leaving disappointed and heartbroken. Oh and the wedding department wouldn't meet or speak to us and dismissed us completely. Safe to say we will never return and so glad we didn't chose this place for our wedding. If they messed up our anniversary and scouting mission how bad would they mess up our actual wedding with all our friends and family?!?!

This was our 4th visit (2 with family / 2 as a couple) to this fabulous hotel. Our first visit was back in 2022 and we are glad to see the same staff again over the years. This means a lot. From the beginning we were treated as VIP guests by Rosaura our concierge. She was there each day to ensure that everything was ok and if we had any special requests. We were celebrating our anniversary on the 13th and we were gladly surprised. The room was decorated, cold meats and cheeses platter, cakes and a bottle of champagne awaited us. If you are looking for an elegant hotel, cleanliness, good food, great service by friendly staff and an amazing beach (no sargassum) where you can walk for miles this place is for you!!! We had an excellent stay once again and I would like to give a big shout out to a few people who went above and beyond to make our trip memorable: Soleda, July and Aracelis from the Entertainment team, so energized and always smiling Argenis and Ramon the best Beach Concierges Mayelin, Roni, Alber (mon ami) all three talented bartenders from Excellence and Finest Lounges Melissa and Jeiry (forgot the name of the lady who is pregnant) from the Lobby bar, thank you ladies for your smiles, dances, talks and great service The only negative comment I can think is the humidity in the room (8160). Not sure how this can be fixed, but it is a bit annoying that sheets and clothes feels wet. We will be back soon ! Steve and Nathalie

We have previously stayed at Finest Playa Mujeres, Beloved, Excellence Riviera Cancun, Excellence Playa Mujeres so the bar was set pretty high. We arrived and were immediately welcomed with a cool towel and delicious sparkling wine. It was absolutely fantastic to meet HECTOR a who was an exquisite concierge throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed or wanted each day. He is amazing and his smile will light up your day. 😁. Our room was an Excellence Club room and it was impeccably decorated and very comfortable and sparkling clean. We dined at Dommo for breakfast and dinner and was very well received by the attentive staff but especially by EDUARD. We had delicious eggs Benedict as well as fresh juices and fruit and everything was delicious. Some morning we dined at the buffet where DANIA 🫶🏼💕 ensured we had our espresso each morning as well as our cappuccino at lunch. The food in the buffet was fantastic! Egg station offered a multitude of fresh ingredients and there was always a huge assortment of fresh fruit to enjoy as well as waffles, pancakes and so much more! Everything you can imagine…even a carving station at each meal! Lunch at the buffet was almost overwhelming because the choices were endless. My husband couldn’t back away from the fresh Asian station every single day😳. I enjoyed a vast majority of fresh vegetables and made a salad each day……all ingredients top quality and wonderful desserts to enjoy after my salad. DANIA and RICARDO were amazing…our cups were never empty and EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE in the buffet went above and beyond for us! We were absolutely blown away by the professionalism of each staff member, so much so that I had to hunt down the buffet Manager, RAINIER, to congratulate him on the Finest buffet staff….all worked together seamlessly to ensure impeccable service. He is a true leader in every sense of the word and his direction is reflected in the graciousness of his staff. The cooks, the omelet makers, the people who kept the buffet clean and fresh as well as the waitstaff all EXCELLENTE! Each day we looked forward to our before dinner martinis which were absolutely amazing thanks to the amazing RONY who greeted us like we were family. He definitely is the BEST. RONY IS THE MAN!!!!🍸🍸🍸 Finally I cannot thank FRANKLIN and ISMAEL enough for their support as we were arriving and leaving. Both were so friendly and accommodating and it was very much appreciated. We had such a fabulous time and we will definitely return asap!

All in all a great experience at the finest hotel! It’s a calm and chill vibe place so come to lay on the beach or the pool. The restaurants were great and the service too. Ricky at dukes is amazing! Javier is the best hype man ever! Never thought I would like bingo until I played with him as host! The staff always went above and beyond for us! Rooms are clean and spacious. My only negative things are I wish there were more active activities for adults. I know that the kids club is amazing but would have liked more things to do for adults. I wish the staff can recommend the restaurants and dishes to us. Let them try the food that they are selling!! 10/10 would definitely recommend to families with young children and to those who want an R & R experience!

We travelled as a group of 30 friends and family from the UK to Finest Punta Cana for our dream destination wedding and had the most amazing time. In the lead up to our wedding, our wedding planner Natalia worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect and when we saw it brought to life on the day itself we were blown away by how beautifully perfect it was. The day was incredibly well organised - we couldn't have faulted a thing. I also booked the bridal suite for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready in which was also beautiful and had plenty of space for us all to get fully ready. In total we spent 2 weeks at the resort and had a brilliant time. We were incredibly impressed at how well kept the resort was and our beachfront honeymoon suite was worth every £ that we spent on it. The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly always going above and beyond to make our experience special. We ate in all of the restaurants and were impressed with the food choice and quality - our highlights were Shoji (Japanese), Brass (Steak House) and Dommo (Adults Only). The buffet also had lots of options with the fresh cooking stations being a particular highlight. We also visited the spa during our stay for a hydrotherapy session and massage which were both amazing - we left feeling even more relaxed than we already were. We would 100% recommend this resort and know that our wedding guests also echo our sentiments. If you are travelling without children we would definitely recommend booking one of the "excellence" adults only rooms - the extras that are included are more than worth the additional cost that you pay.

The rooms are very clean, the beach is beautiful, the Batenders are very friendly. The restaurant I liked the most was the Mexican one. I recommend it, but the entire food was spectacular. The training team was very nice, especially Sister Araceli. I had an incredible vacation and I hope to return soon.

We had two incidents that we did not like one was that when my wife did the reservation she told the receptionist that it will be me and my wife. We get to our room and in the welcome latter it was to Mr and Mrs. Then the other incident was with a worker Juan he kept calling my wife a he when I corrected him to refer to my wife as her/she and he still continues to said he.

This review is extremely long overdue, but I wanted to share our experiences from three visits to this incredible resort: 10 days in October 2022, 10 days in December 2023, and a one-week stay in April 2024, which was for my parents based on our recommendation. All of these stays were on the adult side, as part of the Excellence Club upgrade, which is absolutely worth every penny. **First Impressions:** The resort is beautiful and elegant, offering a peaceful atmosphere with a well-thought-out layout. Each time we checked in, the process was seamless. There was never any rush to secure loungers or hassle with towels and cards (the unlimited towels were especially handy when it rained), and there are no wristbands to worry about. We never had to wait for table service or make reservations, which made the experience even more stress-free. The food was consistently fantastic—some of the best we've had at any all-inclusive resort. We don’t expect anything revolutionary, but the quality was definitely superior to other places we’ve visited. The service was outstanding, and it only improved with each visit, especially after we connected with Rosa before our second trip. Rosa is the Guest Services Manager, and she played a pivotal role in making our vacations exceptional. She made our family feel like VIPs every time we visited, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. After 15+ years of world travel, we can confidently say that Rosa made our experiences some of the best we’ve ever had. As my dad said after their vacation, “Probably the best vacation we’ve ever had." **Overall Experience:** We loved every aspect of our stays at the Finest and would absolutely return. With each visit, we were more and more impressed by the attention to detail and the personal care we received from Rosa. Even though I thought our previous vacations were flawless, Rosa managed to make my parents' trip even better. We can't thank her enough for making their experience unforgettable. **Food, Drink, and Restaurants:** We’re not food snobs, but we do love a good meal and tend to dine out often back home. The à la carte dinner options here were exceptional. Our favorites were *Surf and Turf*, *Dommo*, and *Brass*. The other restaurants were fine, except for the Asian restaurant, where we found the food to be too salty and not very reminiscent of the Asian food we’re used to back in Canada. It’s worth noting that we didn’t attend the dinner show there, just a regular sit-down dinner, and afterward we enjoyed the buffet, which is now open most nights. For meat lovers like us, the above-mentioned restaurants were a real treat. We heard some guests complain about the "meat and fries" style of steak, but we thought it was perfectly fine. What we loved most was the fact that we didn’t have to make dinner reservations—something we truly appreciate when on vacation, as we prefer to eat at different times depending on the day’s activities. For lunch, we typically skip the buffet meals, but we enjoyed the pizzas from the beach menu, which were decent. Breakfast was your standard all-inclusive spread, though we would have appreciated a better variety of fruits (like mango) and pastries. Coffee at the café was great, and they had delicious desserts available at dinner time. As for drinks, we’re not heavy drinkers, but the house wine served at dinner was perfectly fine, and we particularly enjoyed the passionfruit sour at the beach and pool bars. I also appreciated that they made sure I always had an unlimited supply of fresh coconut water—no complaints there! A minor thing worth mentioning is the lack of physical menus (likely a COVID-related change), which slightly affected the restaurant experience. However, we got used to it, and by the end of our trip, we knew exactly what we wanted. **Pools:** The pools are fantastic—clean, spacious, and rarely crowded. You can easily relax or swim laps, as the adult side offers a deeper pool. There’s always an abundance of sunbeds available, whether by the pool or on the beach, so there’s no need to fight for a spot or wake up at the crack of dawn to reserve a chair. This made for a truly relaxing, stress-free vacation. **Beach:** The beach experience can be a bit divisive—some love it, some don’t. The water isn’t as calm as in places like Cuba or Jamaica, but the waves are fun if you’re comfortable in the water. The beach is well-maintained, with any seaweed quickly cleared away. On days when more seaweed comes in due to weather conditions, the staff works tirelessly to keep it clear. There are plenty of shaded loungers available for those who don’t want to bake in the sun. **Entertainment:** The nightly shows at the theatre are enjoyable, with a good mix of performances, including Michael Jackson tributes, circus acts, Dominican-themed performances, acrobats, and late-night karaoke, which is always fun to watch (if you know what I mean!). Overall, we had an amazing time and enjoyed every minute of each stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to return, as the resort offers everything needed for a relaxing, worry-free vacation.

My husband and I absolutely love Finest Punta Cana! Everything about this resort is great…from the accommodations to the food to the welcoming, relaxing atmosphere…we love it all…but the most outstanding attribute is the friendly and kind people who work here! Everyone goes above and beyond to make your stay incredible…starting with Rosa in the Excellence Club. From the moment we arrive until we say our goodbyes, Rosa is there making sure our vacation is the best possible! She is outstanding and very dedicated! She is always smiling and there to help with everything from your accommodations to dinner reservations to a special treat…we love Rosa! Rosa is main reason we will be returning to Finest in May! The Excellence Beach Staff is phenomenal… Argenis, Ramon and Joham are the best…tending to all our needs and wants while we are at the beach! These guys are top notch ..…they are hard workers, they are friendly and always greet you with a smile…they are genuinely nice guys! This dynamic trio is another reason we will be returning to Finest! Like i said, everyone who works at Finest is friendly and helpful … from Sammy the pasta chef to Rupert the bartender to Antonio the beach server…everyone goes out of there way to make sure you have everything you need! Finest is our home away from home and when we stay at Finest, it is like being with family♥️

This was the second time we visited a Finest Hotel. First we did the one at Ila’s muejeres in Mexico and now this one in PUNTA Cana. We were in the adult only « excellence » area. We were impressed the first time and here again the second time. Highly recommence. Hotel design and furniture are high end. Site is stunning and well cared for staff is absolutely - especially Roger and Algenis who were two amazing butlers at the beach. Restaurants and food were also above expectations. All was world class caliber.
