Napa Valley
It starts getting chilly in October, but this is the time for the new grape harvest, and the autumn foliage is at its best during the second half of the month. The food and wine are world-class, and there are plenty of other activities.

Miami, Florida
Miami is famous for its scorching, humid summers. Welcome to October, when the intense heat is a mere memory, the crowds are fewer, and the beaches are still vibrant and inviting.

It is also a gorgeous town, with plenty of museums and delightful shops. While surrounded by bright fall foliage, couples should remember that Boston is only half an hour away.
