The positives: hotel grounds are very nice and the renovation looks great, with stylish and tasteful decor and quality interiors. The negatives: Service was hot or cold (whether super friendly and warm, or rude and unhelpful). The food was OK at best, but sometimes it was difficult to find good options in the buffet (yes, hundred of options, but most was from mediocre to not that great, especially desserts). Also most of the staff was expecting (high) tips, which added some tension to the interactions and also triggered rudeness if they were not happy with it.

Everything about the resort is amazing. Our butler Emmanuel was beyond awesome. He promptly addressed all our needs and requests. What a great vacation. All the staff went above and beyond. All the staff were friendly and professional. The food was delicious. We went to every restaurant and buffets. All exceeded our expectations. Best of all was our butler Emmanuel. BIG kudos to him for helping us have the best vacation. Thank you to all for allowing us to rest and relax in such luxury. Well done!!

This was our second stay at the resort since we enjoyed it so much the first time. This was our second stay at the resort since we enjoyed it so much the first time. Everything was great; the food, entertainment, beautiful grounds & accommodation, gorgeous beach, friendly staff, wonderful servers, and our amazing concierge who became a new friend. Actually that makes two concierges who are now our friends. We'd go back as guests in the Reserve section in a heartbeat, except for one thing. We wouldn't be at ease about leaving our money or valuables in the room safe. Sad to say, we had over $400 stolen & it didn't go missing at one time. We were very diligent in locking the safe before we left the room. Upon reporting the initial theft, a conversation with manager, Richard Asitente left us feeling insulted with the implication that perhaps we had not managed our money and that, following a preliminary investigation, without proof that someone took the cash, there was nothing further to be done. We left that meeting with our threat of posting about our experience on social media as our only recourse. That prompted another meeting along with a lady from customer service with an offer to compensate us for the 'inconvenience' with an upgrade at our next stay. A complimentary couples massage was another appeasement which we gladly accepted and greatly enjoyed! However, documents we were asked to sign as an agreement that we would not post on social media were not acceptable to us as it only referenced our 'inconvenience', without mention of theft. We returned home without signing it. Subsequently, we have had no follow up communication from the resort, except for a reply from Mr. Asitente after I reached out to him to make inquiry. He again stated that the 'investigation' proved nothing even though we knew that someone who had access to our room was a thief. There was no other explanation. The offer of an upgrade for our next stay was repeated. Of course we have nothing in writing to guarantee us of that. Bottom line, we love the resort, and connected with a lot of awesome people. But it's so unfortunate that we will probably not return given the situation of the incident itself and, what we feel, was a lack of more aggressive investigation and follow up communication with us. We have not told a soul about this until now. But we can't, in good conscience, stay silent any longer without warning potential guests that the security of the room safes in the Reserve section of Paradisus Palma Real is not secure from theft at the hands of someone with access to guest rooms if he or she is still employed there.

Also, at the Brisas restaurant, we met Jose, one of their waiters. He would greet us every morning with a smile and making sure we were pleased with our food selection.

Deborah McLean Vacation | Couple We stayed for 10 days, in a swim up suite in the Reserve area. Room and patio was excellent, pools are large and well maintained.The grounds are really well maintained. The beach area is wonderful, water pretty calm . The staff here are so friendly and helpful. Our concierge, Emmanuel, went out of his way to look after us, we couldn't have asked for more. Other staff that were great, Vanessa, Gilberto, Marie at the beach bar Jose was helpful is many areas, got us into the steakhouse last minute, which we really appreciated Kelvin, Juan, Stirling and Rizzy, Santos, Milton, Barnelis Margaret, and Louise in Ginger bar There was an ongoing problem with dinner reservations, everyone we talked to had the same problem, you can only make 1 day at time , and it was really hard to get the one you wanted at the time you wanted. There is only 1 restaurant that is adult only and the adult only buffet was closed the entire time we were there, except for the last day, the food was disappointing the hot food was cold, lights turned off over the food areas, so hard to see what was there. Overall the food was mediocre. The Steak House and Mexican food was great , everywhere else so-so The Ginger bar near the lobby, is the only open air area, and had great entertainment, unfortunately the smell of cigarettes and cigar smoke is really strong, something needs to be done to circulate the air to keep it fresher. It's the only area for people to smoke, but not great for non smokers.

The resort is absolutely stunning. My girlfriend and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We did not do the circle or reserve. The reserve while beneficial is not needed and there was always plenty of space on the beach. All of the rooms are very close and easily walkable to the beach. The pools are nice and never a long wait at the swim up bar. The first day we had lunch at kana restraunt and Luis was the best. If you have food allergies I would highly recommend contacting the resort prior to your stay. I have a nut/sesame allergy and I had to point out multiple things that were not OK after being told there was no sesame. However, we were instantly connected to Hector Abrue who was extremely helpful for anything we needed including booking reservations. Also, Antonio from guest services was helpful as well for giving us a complimentary romantic dinner after the issue in the previous paragraph. For the romantic dinner, they advertise steak and lobster. The meal did not taste amazing but the “vibe” was awesome and Hostet/Arindius were both amazing and catered to our every need. We also golfed twice and the golf was great. For only $120ish per round the course was ok and the greens were very slow. However, you have the course to yourself and there was no issue getting whatever tee time you desired. Overall, the hotel was gorgeous and after the allergy situation was sorted everything was amazing.
