Me and my husband got back from an 11 night stay at this hotel 2 days ago, and we absolutely loved it! ❤️ We booked this holiday for my 30th birthday celebration and after booking it we had read quite a few negative comments about this hotel, which made us worry as obviously we wanted it to be special, but we can honestly say we didn’t experience anything bad!😊 The food at the main buffet was really good. Neither of us eat fish/seafood and we never struggled to find things we liked! It was all cooked well and tasty. We also ate at the Swiss fondue restaurant & the Italian on site, which were okay but to be honest we preferred the buffet! We didn’t think much of the Italian at the sister hotel but the asian restaurant was great. All the staff were lovely!🥰 We became friendly with a lot of members of the entertainment team and took part in many of the poolside games and the beach party! It didn’t take long for them to learn our names and always made us feel welcome. We were in building 3 and the WiFi in our room, I’ll admit wasn’t great. I wanted to be able to video chat with my family on my birthday somewhere other than the lobby, so we spoke to guest services and they moved us to another room where the WiFi connection was great! 👍🏼 We agree that the rooms do need updating but we didn’t really care as they were clean, spacious and comfortable and we were literally only in them to sleep! The hotel grounds are beautiful and we loved how close everything is rather than on a huge resort.🌴 We read a lot of comments saying it was a hotel for older people, but me and my husband are aged 30 & 32 and there were many other couples there of our age as well! I guess if you’re after a super upbeat, pool parties every day & clubbing every night kind of place, then this isn’t for you but it had much more going on than people give it credit for we think. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would be happy to return again if we came back to the DR! ☀️🏝️

This was our second visit to this resort and we finally feel like we have found “our place” it’s small, the food is great, the beach is awesome. The entertainment team is what makes this resort what it is in our opinion. They are always going around trying to get you involved in activities. Valeria was so kind to us calling us momma & poppa !! We just love her ❤️ I know it’s not a 20 years old party place but you can still party and have a great time. While we were there they had two dances close to the beach and we enjoyed that so much, we feel more dances would be an extra bonus. We ate at the fondue restaurant (that was my husband’s favourite) the steak house (that was my favourite) and went across to the Japanese restaurant and the sister resort, that was just ok. The rest of the time we ate at the buffet. The beach snack place was our preferred lunch spot. The rooms are a little dated but super clean, we always had hot water and clean towels. They do not have facecloths though. The beds were a little hard but we had no problem sleeping. The AC worked ok and the fan also helped to keep things cool. Make sure you take after bite with you cause there are lots of mosquitoes. We are already making plans to return and we only got home last night !!

11/2 to 25/2 This was the best holiday I’ve had in a long while. Was so relaxing and little bit of paradise. The accommodation needs a bit of updating but rooms are comfortable and good size and are cleaned every day which is very welcome…cleaning staff were lovely and helpful. Staff around the hotel were so welcoming and can’t do enough to make you feel spoilt waited on. Food has so many options and was really enjoyable. The bread is to die for. Entertainment and poolside activities were a little annoying with the same songs over and over but you were under no pressure to join in and it was funny to watch. Make sure you take bug spray as I got bitten loads and I’m sure I got my bites in the restaurant and had to virtually remortgage my house to buy insect repellent $35 for a can of spray on repellent from the onsite shop. The trips are well organised and well worth doing we did the swimming with dolphins and the buggy off road safari and monkey feeding this combined going to a village where we saw how coffee made which was an extra. Staff so inclusive and friendly. The closeness to the beach was amazing as the beach was pure heaven and the sunrises were spectacular. Can’t wait to return!!

Delayed review, real life got in the way! Absolutely love this resort. Our 2 weeks in December was our 10th visit here and we’re booked for #11 at the end of April, can’t wait, it’s been a long enough winter!! The hotel staff from the front staff, Alexander, Ana and the rest who ensure that all guests are treated to a great vacation experience, to the restaurant staff including Iris, Ordalina, Cristal, Henry, Jose Lajars and Nancy, are realy the biggest reasons for our many returns. Everyone has always gone all out to ensure our visits are spot on. Along with the staff, we’ve always enjoyed the variety of restaurants, the quality of the food, and the service levels. The beach has plenty of Palapas, is regularly cleaned of the Sargassum and never feels crowded. Felix and his partner who I apologize but forget his name, are constantly around helping to keep the beach and pool areas clean and generally helping folk find chairs and such. We’ve visited many resorts throughout the Caribbean over the years but always return to the PCP for a truly relaxing vacation after finding other resorts somewhat lacking, or just too big and noisy for our tastes now. A great smaller, quieter, well ran spot that hits all our needs. See you all soon!

Casual vibe. Friendly staff. CLEAN everywhere. Great food and good drinks. Pleasent staff. No reservations at al a carte
The best resort we have been too in Punta Cana. The hard working staff keeps everything tip top. Clean rooms and public areas. Well kept pool and beach area. Some of the best buffets lots of choices. The ala cartes were the best. We will return next year!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Our trip to Punta Cana Princess was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First, the food was atrocious—spoiled, undercooked/overcooked and completely inedible. We ended up skipping meals just to avoid stomach issues. The worst part? The non-stop solicitors harassing us to buy drugs and cheap junk up and down the beach. There was zero security to keep them away, even in VIP areas! We paid to upgrade to VIP, expecting better service, but it was a total scam. The "exclusive" VIP lounge was just as bad—solicitors walked right in like they owned the place. When we made restaurant reservations at the other Princess resorts, we showed up with our confirmation tickets, only to be told we weren’t on the list. The staff refused to accommodate us and wouldn’t even refund the money we paid. Another VIP perk? Top-shelf liquor. Or at least that’s what they promised. In reality, they poured the cheapest booze possible—even when we specifically asked for premium brands. As if that wasn’t enough, our room was a disaster. Instead of a beautiful garden view, we got a lovely view of a run-down white building. The AC didn’t work, only blowing warm, musty air. The room smelled, was completely outdated, and the bed was rock-hard. The worst part? The resort did absolutely nothing to fix these issues or accommodate us. Now, we’re fighting with our trip insurance to try and get some money back. Do yourself a favor—STAY FAR AWAY from Punta Cana Princess. This was hands down the worst vacation we’ve ever had. None of the Princess resorts on the beach were worthy of staying at.

Finishing off a lovely week at the PCP ( Punta Cana Princess Resort )with my partner. There are pros and cons to every place you stay of course. We have had nothing but positive experiences despite arriving 6hrs late after some delays. I have done a couple of AI’s before. My affordability is mostly in the 3.5 star range so I come with 3.5 star expectations. The staff here are fantastic. From Angel at the check in, Miguel at guest services, Maria at the lobby and pool bar, Yosaria at the lobby and pool bar, ❤️Jose❤️(that’s exactly how his name tag looks, and he makes THE best daquari melon and drinks in general) at the beach bar (the one beside the snack bar, not inside). Something new I learned this trip: if you are dealing with beach vendors, a negotiating tool doesn’t always have to be money. We got treated very well by discreetly bringing a drink of choice from the bar, or a snack from the beach snack bar. We enjoyed all the a la cartes except the mare by the beach (Caribbean seafood has been hit or miss for us). Make sure you arrive at least 15 mins before they open if you like to dine early. Otherwise you will be waiting around an hour to be seated on average. But they give you a time to come back so you don’t have to stand around waiting. We have access to the Caribe and Tropicale if we desire. Their buffet is bigger and has more staff….but so is that part of the resort in terms of guests lol! So be prepared for busy and CHILDREN 😝. You can book their a la cartes with guest services, but you need to book 48hrs before you want to go and they fill up fast. We only did one: Tao (hibachi grill) and it was fabulous! The main buffet is what it is….buffet. But everyone will find something to fill their bellies and it is not terrible. Stick to what you know lol. Do not come if you are a foodie. The entertainment is repetitive but the entertainment staff are always enthusiastic. Don’t come if you are looking to party. Don’t come if you are looking for bougie lodging and services. Do come if you want quiet, low key, beautiful beach, sunshine, friendly staff and a simple room to lay your head. Our room was nothing fancy, clean, everything worked as it should. Would I come again? Absolutely. Next time if I do, I would take more advantage of the a la cartes next door while hanging out on the quiet adults only side I am currently staying at!!! Hit me up with any questions! Oh and from what I have heard, it is totally not worth it to do the “VIP” package they try to sell you!!!!

I do not suggest staying here. I will list a cons and pros and YOU decide for yourself Pros: Front desc staff is friendly and knowledgeable special thank you to Miguel Angel for all his help and hard work. Plenty of bungalows on the beach and shade, not that many vendors bother you to buy stuff, nice jacuzzi in the rooms. Oh and soup in mexican restaurant is tasty, fajitas there are a bit above average. Very good room cleaning service and regularly restocked the fridge Cons: Spring mattress in the room very uncomfortable. One time they had issue w hot water. Some staff in buffet are EXTREMELY slow and like to disappear. I ordered drinks and they came either very late or not at all so one time I had to go to the bar myself to get them. To be fair not all staff are like that some are great but it's a roll of dice who you get. I could say they are understaffed but I am not a manager there so I don't know. Food in buffet is repetative and very poor quality. My wife got food poisoning there. What doesn't get eaten at lunch is reworked and served at dinner. Very few variety of foods. Beach bar serves below bottom shelf liquor but if you don't mind it don't concider it a con. People around us complained about French restaurant and were mad as hell at so called Italian one so we spared ourselves the disappointment. In short it is your call if you want to stay there.

Direct location at the beautiful beach, white sand, kond of windy with waves, clean beach. Small resort easy to walk to all buildings. Great staff, friendly and open to help. Cleaning is acceptable, had no issues. Room furniture is may some older but acceptable and authentic (we liked much better then modern look). Beds are super comfortable (!!), rooms are big and well furnished. Missing door at the bathroom not much disturbing rather funny, but during the night usage the lamps will light the whole room (only disadvantage we have found). Food is just excellent in the buffet, high range of variantes even with several food intolerances, every day changing concept (local, italien, asian, etc). Having lunch at the beach side at "snack-bar" is comfortable if you dont feel leaving the beach, sea-fruit and fish almost every day available. You can join to animation events if you feel, basic evening events with animation dance at the evening but not really night life (also depends on the age avarage of the actual guests). Highly recommend, we are planning to come back.

My boyfriend and I (52 &44) had the most wonderful time at this resort in Punta Cana! I will try my best to lay out all the important aspects about our trip and stay from beginning to end. We travelled for two weeks at the end of January into early February. Our vacation package was through Sunwing out of London Ontario. The flight was as expected from Sunwing and a quick 4 hours. We used the free shuttle service with our package, I’d definitely recommend going private. We were the last stop on this milk run. You can book online through Nexus tours and it’s $34 US. Well worth it! From the moment we arrived at the resort, the staff made us feel so welcome. Check in was easy and fairly quick. We stayed in the regular suites in the 5000 building which is highly recommended as it’s close to the pool and beach. The rooms, as everyone rightfully mentions are in need of an upgrade, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Beds were quite comfortable which was a huge plus for a two week stay. The ac ran non-stop and maybe achieved about 22 degrees but was fine for sleeping. The bathroom situation is interesting as it has a frosted shower type door for the toilet facilities. Maid service and stocking of room was great. We did not purchase a vip package so I cannot comment on any of the amenities offered with that. The resort itself is very quaint with one large pool, a large buffet and a few smaller restaurants. Depending on what you want out of your vacation we much enjoyed the size. It was easily walkable, easy to run back to your room or grab a quick bite to eat without travelling forever or taking a train. The grounds were beautifully maintained—immaculate gardens, clean facilities, and well-kept public spaces. Felix was always happy to clean up and working away daily at keeping things perfect. There was never a bathroom out of toilet paper or garbage laying around. The pictures of the grounds do not do it justice! You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining them. The staff were a key highlight to the trip, they were all incredibly personable and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and were having a great time. It really made our stay feel special and made it difficult to leave. The food was another highlight! There was always something delicious and plentiful to enjoy, from fresh fruit, veggies, meat and more! Everyday the buffet had a different theme so variety was great. The beach bbq was also pretty delicious and we’d always hit the mar nostrum for lunch (if there’s spaghetti eat it!!!). With the resort being small reservations weren’t required so that was a bonus not being pressed for time. Steakhouse and pasta place were good, we didn’t try the fondue place. We did the Japanese, Brazil and Mexican at the sister resort. They require a reservation which can be made in the lobby at princess all suites. Japanese was amazing we really enjoyed it. Brazil was just ok and long and Mexican was also pretty tasty. Out of the entire 2 weeks we did not get sick or have any stomach upsets, other than just being too full. Drinks were a plenty! My partner was happy to drink real Ceasars all week and the bartenders can make you anything you’d like. Bring a yeti if you have one, bigger cup and keeps everything cold. The beach and pool were absolutely stunning. The beach had soft sand and clear, warm waters actually warmer than the pool. There was zero seaweed and quite a long bit of beach to walk. Pool area was spacious with plenty of loungers and never an issue getting a fresh towel. You have to go early to save spots. But we liked how spaced out everything was. Entertainment was actually entertaining lol. They had a few beach parties, but the best laughs were in the lobby at night. The couples games had us in stitches. They also had belly dancers and some guys on stilts. Other than that and pool activities at 11 & 3 there wasn’t much else, which we loved. So if you want a crazy night life and party you’ll have to go next door. But we were content to relax and not have drunken people and loud music. We did see the Michael Jackson show at the sister resort, it was pretty decent. The lobby there is quite large and they seemed to have live music all the time. We went over a few times but like I said, a lot of people and kids. So just depends what you want, but was a quick walk and a change of scenery. Overall I think our only complaint of the whole trip was the music by the pool NEVER changed! You’ve got that right, ed Sheeran for cool down twice a day. It ended up being comical by the end of the two weeks. Our weather for the two weeks was HOT!!! Bring lots of sunscreen. There was always a nice breeze and we encounter small burst of rain but it was welcoming. We highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Punta Cana, with excellent service and intimate atmosphere we will definitely be back! Thanks for an amazing stay and vacation.

My wife and myself have just returned from a 2 week holiday staying at the Punta Cana Princess. Now in our 70s, we are both seasoned travellers, having visited many countries and stayed in many hotels, and therefore feel/hope our views now expressed are accurate and at the same time reasonable, taking all relevant factors into account. The Pros 1) Firstly location. Super. Lovely white beach, fringed by countless palm trees, and lapped by a sparkling blue ocean (though, it seems, constantly choppy, so more for wading than swimming!) 2) Next the Gardens. Superb. Well manicured, with an abundance of various palms and shrubs. Well done the ground staff! 3) And the Climate. Whilst we were there the temperature was an inviting constant 29C or so. A few downpours (to be expected in a tropical environment) but overall blissful, especially during our own cold miserable winter! Regrettably now The Cons 1) Bedrooms. Sadly in need of renovation. Various fixtures either rusty and/or dusty/dirty. (See attached photos). Numerous problems experienced during our stay – on 3 occasions no hot water; often the keycard would not work ie would not open the door; shower flooded in to the bathroom and wc. These issues were presented to Reception, but with a poor/resigned response, indicating that these were not fresh problems! 2) Food. Whilst the variety of options on offer in the main restaurant for breakfast was fine, the buffet for lunch and dinner could best be described as mediocre. Many dishes left you wondering what they were, seemingly the remnants in many cases from the previous evening’s offerings. To its credit, the hotel offers 4 speciality restaurants as alternatives – Seafood, Italian, Steakhouse, and, strangely, a Swiss Fondue. These, in our opinion, proved acceptable enough though not outstanding. Thankfully we were able to also visit restaurants in the neighbouring Caribe Princess Hotel – Japanese, Chinese, Dominican Republic, Mexican, and Italian, so, in fairness, there were plenty of choices available 3) Service. Pleased to say we experienced many smiling faces….but we also met with personnel who were either disinterested in our complaints or, as on one occasion when we reported the lack of hot water for a shower, rather than offer us an alternative room to shower, blatantly told a “mistruth” by saying this was not possible as the entire complex at that time was without hot water! Were that the case Reception would have been heaving with complainants like ourselves! So, in summary, whilst the setting for our holiday was perfect, the Punta Cana Princess was not, and most certainly does not warrant a 5 star category. What makes the situation more galling is that its neighbouring sister hotel, the Caribe Princess, is a) newly renovated (we visited a couple of rooms – the difference with ours at the Punta Cana Princess was staggering) and b) offers better food….and is cheaper! Whilst we may well return to the Dominican Republic in future we will not be returning to the Punta Cana Princess.

25 minutes ago New I made the mistake of booking here for March. The resort also runs a Facebook page and they refuse to publish my Posts asking for information about what perks are included in the honeymoon suite and how to confirm my reservation with the resort as my confirmation only says a suite rather then honeymoon suite. If this is how they treat you and block you from getting information I wonder how they treat their guests at the resort. Bad mistake to book here!!
