We had such a relaxing stay! This resort is beautifully maintained with an exceptional staff. We stayed on the club level, and Ruddy and Rodrigo provided excellent service. Pool and beachfront beds with umbrellas were plentiful, and drinks and food service by the pool was attentive and quick. All on property restaurants we tried were delicious, but Hidden Garden stood out as a favorite. Our first night we enjoyed a traditional Mexican buffet outdoors with an acrobatic show. Very fun! Our room was very clean, up to date and comfortable and snacks, water etc are refreshed daily. You can jet ski and parasail from the beach, and it’s quite easy to catch an uber if you decide to leave the resort. We will definitely return!

This was our 11th trip to Live Aqua, Cancun. We are truly #AquaLovers. The experience was as usual exceptional with delicious food and drinks, amazing staff, clean rooms and great vibe. I honestly feel like this was our best trip so far and I did not believe they could top our past experiences. All the staff work extremely hard to make sure we have the best experience possible and are all held to very high standards by their general manager but some of them do stand out. We were there to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday and I would like to mention some of the staff who made this our best experience yet in our second home. Morelia, Aldo and Graciel from the guest relations team have been amazing. I was able to communicate with Morelia weeks before arriving to make sure we had everything all planned perfectly from him. Daniel and Guillermo (memo) in the Aqua Lounge are always so attentive to our needs. You will never have an empty cup or plate or want for anything with these guys around. They are both always smiling and I have never seen them get upset even when some of the guests are being jerks. The dynamic and energetic entertainment team of Maria (mamacita), Ricky Ricardo, Taylor, Daniel and Josep made pool tringo (my all time favorite thing to do there) and aqua aerobics so much fun and when it comes to other day activities and nighttime entertainment they kept it fun and chill. I honestly don't know what Ricky Ricardo has for breakfast in the mornings but I want some. He always has so much energy and is such a great host and emcee. The various nighttime entertainment was just what we like. The cabana hut crew (Flavio, Eduardo, Hector, Josue and Rodrigo) always making sure we got the cabana we wanted and the desired time for our foot massages. Speaking of foot massages, Urbina, Yajaira and Elena were amazing with strong hands. So so relaxing. I highly recommend seeking these ladies out for your next foot massage. When it comes to drink service at the pool or on the beach, David Gomez and Cesar were amazing. No empty cups allowed with these guys serving you, always there before we run out to keep us hydrated. We appreciate you guys. As for the incredible dining experiences each day from the chefs, managers and wait staff at the various restaurants, I would like to give a shout out to chefs Canul (MB) and Rafael (Siete). Ivonne you certainly made sure Richard and I were well taken care of when we ran into you. To the excellent severs Marcelo (Varena), Efrain (MB) and Ambros (Hidden Garden), thank you so much. Our Butlers Isaias and Viri made sure we had everything we needed and kept in constant contact with us throughout our stay to make sure we had all we needed at all times. To our "adopted" butler Maggie thank you for listening to a concern my husband had and for taking it to the right people so it could be resolved. That was phenomenal. To Ashley the boss of the butlers, thank you for being such a great mentor to them and for checking in on us and helping with our send off. Such exceptional customer service. To the grill master Luis who made the best grilled chicken, ribs and chuleta that I have ever had in my life and to Luis the pool area manager I would like to say thank you for always smiling. Lastly to the housekeeping staff (especially Milly (Lourdes) who took meticulous care of our room twice daily, thank you so so so much. To the grounds staff and everyone else behind the scenes, we appreciate you. We are already booked for trip #12 in October and can't wait to return home.

Delicious! Service incredible, food wonderful, truly a lovely experience. The ambience is gorgeous. Highly recommend. The Caesar salad, the pappardelle carbonara, lasagna bolognese, the New York strip and veal, not a single bad bite amongst them. Cannot wait to return!

We decided to go to Live Aqua based on all the great reviews. Everyone raved about the food and a nice relaxing quiet atmosphere. When we arrived all the staff were fabulous. The resort was very nice, but I didn’t know they had a very large conference center. There were 2 groups of around 300 people there for work conference. One group were a bunch of 20-30 year old roofers. The resort closed down the swim up bar for a foam party for these people. They were drunk and obnoxious. Swearing and starting fights with their co-workers. The DJ was extremely loud and I didn’t care of the music. Restaurants were closed for these groups. We had a beach cabana so you couldn’t eat on the beach, that was fine. But when we went to the Azur restaurant it was closed for lunch. The buffet isn’t open for lunch. So we wandered around looking for food. There were a few evening events for these 2 groups, one on the beach, the other poolside. When we went to the buffet for dinner, there was about 1/3 of the food they normally have. I am sure the lack of food was because of these other 2 groups menu. We paid a lot of money to have restaurants and amenities closed off to us. We did end up making reservations for the last 4 dinners at MB, which was fabulous. The food at the rest of the resort was inconsistent. Alan and Carlos were amazing butlers. We did have fun, but I was disappointed with the focus being on these 2 conferences. All the staff were very nice and went out of their way to make it a nice vacation. I understand that the resort needs to fill the rooms. I would prefer a resort that doesn’t have a conference center for our next trip.

This was our 2nd visit to Live Aqua. I've been to Cancun about 12 times and stayed at various other resorts. We loved our visit last Feb so we decided to come back for a week and brought some newbies (sister and BIL). The service at LA is wonderful Everyone is so friendly. We were in a suite and had some issues with reservations and cabanas. But Ruddy, our afternoon/evening butler helped fix the issue each time. We so appreciate his time and efforts. On our last trip, we had met Gerardo at Azur for breakfast, then followed him to Siete the rest of our mornings. On our first morning on this trip #2, we asked for his section at Siete and were so glad he was working! Each morning for the rest of our week stay, he greeted us with a smile, some conversation and we enjoyed our breakfasts so much because of him! It was an absolute pleasure to start each day with him.

The crew was very attentive, they took us immediately to the 5th floor for check in. All of the food at the restaurants were great, and yes the habanero soup is definitely worth the hype! Thank you to David, Taylor, and everyone else we got to meet. The pools are awesome, the cabanas are a must ( even if you have to pay for them). I enjoyed the crafts at 11 and we enjoyed all the food options. If you can book through Costco do so! Also, we averaged the amount it costs to pay for a cabana compared to if you booked a suite which includes the cabanas. We met a lot of people who travel there often. Guillermo at the aqua club lounge was amazing!

Went with my wife. We are big travelers for years, including to Punta Cana twice prior. Pictures on site are mainly accurate (just more wear and tear in person) so I will not duplicate those. I'd guess it was only half full last week of Jan. 45 minutes from airport, reception was good - if you book a suite you automatically become a member of Aqua Club so get your own check in and check out room with a bar and lots of comfortable seating. We had a Fuego Suite with our own infinity pool the width of the suite. This was also a butler room, although we had little use for a butler so cannot comment on the service. Keys are applied to your wrist with a string - the color of the string denoting your status. Beach is nice, though not deep - lots of erosion all along this beach. You can walk for miles along it one way (I would not go the other way as too much jungle and no hotels). Lots of beach vendors but not intrusive. There is a bar there and a dining spot, but its mostly ceviche that I do not eat. On the side of the each restaurant is a small window where a great pizza can be had. No issue with getting seating on beach. There are no water toys, motorized or not, but they can be rented farther down the beach. There is a separate part of beach for Aqua Club members. There are 4 pools, with that main one having a bar. That one was generally crowded and loud; others quieter but drink service was one waiter and so spotty. A lot of chair saving by the main pool, less elsewhere. One day they ran out of pool/beach towels at 3 pm but that was never repeated. Many food options, all as described in the web site. The buffet for breakfast was great (a separate siting area for Aqua Club), as were the Italian and French. Note its very cold inside the dining spaces, tho most also have an outside seating spot. Outside you do hear some noise from either entertainment or from next door construction. As to construction, when done next door will be a family oriented Fiesta hotel; for now it a concrete shell and nothing else. Food was generally fine; note that some servers spoke very little English, which was surprising. As to staff, 90% were great, smiling and happy; the rest apparently hated to be at work. Tipping had no effect either way - I am still a regular tipper for all meals and drinks. They also host large meeting groups, but they mostly eat and entertain at their own buidlng over the pool bar and caused us no issues. We did not use the Spa; it was very expensive.

My wife Susan and I are Live Aqua veterans - we've vacationed at Live Aqua Cancun 15 times in 11 years. We continue to return here for the welcoming staff, the awesome ocean, delicious food, and plentiful relaxation. Addtionally, Live Aqua is conveniently located a short 20 minute drive from the airport and it is in the Hotel Zone close to the city. For us, Live Aqua is an affordable, convenietly located, upscale adults only resort! We love it here and will keep coming back. Staff We feel so at home at Live Aqua. Some staff memebers have been here for as long as we have been vacationing here. We hold a special place in our hearts for Daniel in the Aqua Club. He provides great service making coffee drinks and he is so friendly and welcoming. He knows what we like including the habanero cream sauce that appears when we enter the lounge in the morning. We love fresh fruit, the smoked salmon on bagels and Green "lagoon" Juice. Guillermo in the Aqua Lounge expertly handles the sometimes larger crowds of people in the evenings and he always has time to tell us about his next vacation. We love stopping by in the evenings after dinner for some tequilla tastings. Maggie and Arturo were so genuine and thoroughly helpful as our evening and day butlers. Some people say, "why do I need a butler?" I say, who doesn't need a butler? They set up spa appointments and made sure the pool guys knew we wanted our cabana set up before we arrived each morning. They made dinner reservations and made sure the chefs came out to meet us at each meal. They checked on us and made us feel so at home. I wish I had a butler at home in Minnesota! Omar is a bartender who mixes cocktails at several bars and the Aqua Club in the evenings. We seemed to run into him everywhere. He was so eager to talk with us and offer up novel, frosty libations. I really appreciate him going out of his way to check on us and offer to mix drinks for us. Ocean The ocean at Live Aqua is clean, warm and swimmable. We use extreme caution as we are not very strong swimmers. We like to chat with the life guards before taking a dip to get their reassurance that there are no riptides or undercurrents. The conditions were perfect for 4 of our 6 days. Seaweed? Almost none but if there was seaweed, I wouldn't complain as it is the ocean and not a theme park. We saw some 2 inch fish get washed up on the sand and before I could scoop them back into the water, a sea bird swooped down for some shore lunch! Gotta love nature! Food and Drink We are not foodies but we love so many of the dishes being created in the 7 or 8 restaurants. Favorite dishes this trip included Chef Willian's watermelon/cheese appetizer and filet mignon with pea puree at MB, Chef Benedicto's Orange chicken and samosas at Hidden Garden, and the sea bass, jicama tacos, and Cochinita Pibil sandwich at Siete. I wish Siete got more recognition as being the culinary delight that it is. Server Cesar was eager to please in Siete and later in the week he promptly seated us in the front row of the Mariachi performance. I always love when the chef or the waiter brings out an amuse-bouche or something else that we didn't order just for fun. Chef Willian seemed to tweak every standard dish on the menu to wow us. For tasty drinks, we prefer the indoor bars where they are served in appropriate glasses with fresh garnishes. New beach server Maria was great. She chatted us up each time she brought Peach Bellinis, Banana Sexy, and Spicy Margheritas. Relaxation We had a cabana on the terrace level between the beach and the pool. This spot was quiet, slightly secluded but only steps away from the beach and pools. Unlike the beach location, you can order food to your terrace cabana--pizza, crudite, lemon cake, botanas, nachos, Baja tacos. Miguel or Edward had our cabana set up before we arrived each moring. This freed us up from waiting in line to get the cabana set up. What great service these guys provide! Hanging out in the pools is a great way to meet people and chat so long that you worry about getting a sunburn! Sometimes in March the pools seem chilly but this year the temperature was comfortable to hang out. The resort was 75-80% full but everyone seemed to find a place to sit by the pool or lounge on the beach. One pool I avoid is the hottub which always seems underfilled, kind of murky looking, and in need of tile repairs. Several of the decorative pools and swimming pools are in need of tile refurbishing. I think all the pool are due to be retiled but this is undoubtably a massive project that would be hard to do while the resort is open. Live Aqua has really upped its entertainment game in recent years. We loved the 4-piece Latin Band in the Egos Bar complete with a Salsa dancing lesson. Some year I may feel coordinated enough to get my salsa groove on. The Bingo and Water Aerobics in the pool were very entertaining led by staff who are part dancers and part comedians. The 80s singer/trumpet duo was also really good! Ivan the piano player at MB (I've also heard him playing with the Latin band on other trips) offered up very tasty musical morsels from Beethoven to The Beatles. Room We stayed in the Tierra Suite on the 4th floor. The Tierra is basically two rooms combined into one room with a living room, a bedroom, 2 separate balconies, and 1 and a half bathrooms. Oh, and there is a giant bathtub in the middle of the main bathroom. Unfortunately, we could not get hot water in the tub. The housekeeping service was excellent with turndown service in the evenings. On our last days when we had a complementary late checkout, we met Martha, the wonderful housekeeper who kept us stocked with extra Nespresso pods and bottles of water all week! Spa I had a 50 minute Swedish Massage in the Spa with Nancy. Honestly, I have never had a bad massage at this Spa! Live Aqua, you know we will be back!

We stayed on the club level, and It was WORTH It. This was my first time staying in an all-inclusive resort and my first time in Cancun. The staff was so fantastic and so friendly we loved all of Ricky’s events. Never had a problem at the pool as far as getting a chair. There were like 5+ pools to choose from. beautiful resort. across the street from the mall- good location. There were so many restaurants to choose from the beach in front of the resort it was perfect, and there was no seaweed. The staff really did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. My boyfriend and I participated in the events like the tequila tasting with Ricky Ricardo, which was awesome. And we also did the silent disco one night, which was so much fun!! it’s not a very big party resort, but it was very relaxing. The room was huge and beautiful and clean. Would definitely stay here again..

Yuleisy made each day special by remembering little things we mentioned like our anniversary and left fun decor on our tables. The report is VERY clean and well kept. The pools can be chilly but the weather is nice and the entertainment team keeps you active if you choose. Luis and Yilvev ensured we knew what activities were happening and then made each we attended very fun!! I’d highly recommend anyone looking to come to Punta Cana to come to Live Aqua!

We just returned from our annual trip to enjoy some sun and relaxation at Live Aqua. Due to work schedules, we always travel during the busy Spring Break season but always find Live Aqua so relaxing and the perfect place to unwind. I want to first mention our amazing butlers - Arturo and Maggie. They are simply the best! Everything was smooth thanks to these two energetic, professional, friendly, detail-oriented people. We would WhatsApp them with our dinner reservation requests and get a response within minutes. They checked to be sure our cabana was set up and ready each morning. They took time to walk out to the beach to make sure we were having a great time. Absolutely nothing went wrong for us but I am confident they could handle anything that would come up. They offered many services such as ironing and arranging for a bath that we didn’t even use. The entire staff at Live Aqua does a great job taking care of their repeat guests so we found a few wonderful surprises waiting for us throughout our trip but I have a feeling Arturo and Maggie assisted with these. We stayed in the 4th floor Tierra Suite this time. I like being down lower as we could see the beautiful grounds and hear all the birds every morning as we watched the sunrise. Our room was spotless every afternoon and was turned down when we were at dinner. We were delighted to meet our daytime cleaner Martha as we were leaving our last afternoon. It was nice to put a name and face with all the hard work that went on all week. I’d love it if the hotel would provide a way to know who is cleaning each day. One of my favorite perks of having a suite is the use of a cabana every day. Flavio and the pool concierge staff help every guest find the perfect spot whether that’s the pool, the beach, a quiet spot, a livelier spot or somewhere in between. Some people like to switch it up every day but we prefer to stay in the same spot each day. A very special shout out to Miguel who did a great job setting up our cabana every morning. He took time to stop by to be sure we had everything we needed and added a little extra flair to the set up a few days. His work made every morning so relaxing. The cabana included a 20 minute foot massage every day. We had a rotation of masseuses and all were great. Thanks to Martha, Yajaira, Nancy and Karina for your hard work even when it started to rain mid-massage one morning (poor Martha!) Except for one rainy afternoon, we had great weather with plenty of safe yellow-flagged ocean swimming on 4 of our 6 days. The wind made it too tough for us to swim the other two days but we enjoyed spending time in the pools which were the perfect temperature this year. In past years, one or more pools have been too cold for my taste but this year, they were perfect. Maybe it’s a weird thing to notice but I am always amazed at the constant cleaning that goes on in the poolside restrooms. The cleaning staff makes sure they are spotless all day - a thankless but essential task. There are plenty of activities planned each day. I would often check the schedule on the app but just couldn’t tear myself away from the beautiful water. In the evening, we always enjoy the “Latin Nights” band. The musicians are great and there was plenty of dancing by the guests and the Egos host. The outdoor Mexican show was wonderful. As I listened to the amazing musicians as the full moon rose, I couldn’t imagine anything more perfect. Beach Drink service has improved tremendously since our first trip in 2014. I doubt we went longer than 15 minutes without being asked if we needed anything whether that was a cocktail or simply cold water. I especially thought Maria’s service was terrific and we were lucky to have her multiple days. John’s personally made drinks were as amazing as his service. BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER and EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN AQUA LOUNGE Another perk of having a suite is access to the 5th floor Aqua Lounge. We love starting our day with the small bites breakfast including an amazing selection of fruit, pastries and hot entrees. The food isn’t nearly as good as the coffee and conversation with the long-time host Daniel. We look forward to seeing Daniel every visit and it wouldn’t be the same without him. We return every evening for a perfectly made cocktail or specially selected tequila from Guillermo. He is a bundle of energy, always keeping drinks filled and conversations going. He exemplifies great service and we look forward to visiting with him every day as we watch the sun set from the balcony of the Aqua Lounge. LUNCH There are so many options for lunch but we stuck to our two favorites this visit - lunch at Azur and the outdoor version of room service delivered directly to our cabana. Because the weather was just perfect, we opted to have lunch brought to our cabana several days. The beach servers took our order and fresh, hot and delicious food arrived about 30 minutes later. The view of the ocean at mid-day from Azur is just beautiful and has been a favorite place on many visits. They offer a nice variety on their menu as well as a salad bar for lots of healthy options. We were delighted to see our long-time friend Mauricio working there on our last day. He introduced us to Chef Mario who made sure our send-off lunch was memorable and enough to carry us through the travel day. DINNER MB mb is the resort’s signature restaurant with good reason. Chef Willian and manager Rodolpho make sure every detail is perfect whether that’s from the menu, a dietary restriction or a special preference. Chef Willian takes such good care of his guests especially repeat visitors and he is constantly greeting people, delivering meals and making sure we are smiling as much as he is. I tried the Pork Rib for the first time and I think it’s my new favorite dish. The brownie dessert is amazing and the habanero soup is legendary. We were lucky enough to have the delightful Julio and Fidel as our servers both visits this trip. The nightly piano music from Ivan adds so much to the atmosphere. I’m happy the resort invests in such great quality musicians. The hostess Frida might have one of the toughest jobs in the entire resort - managing the wait list and getting everyone seated - as it is very popular and for very good reason. SIETE (ALA CARTE MEXICAN) Even though mb is the most well-known restaurant, all the other options are wonderful as well. If you are a repeat guest and haven’t tried Siete for a while, it’s time to go back. They serve a wonderful ala carte menu full of Yucatan specialties. I wasn’t very hungry after lots of snacks in the Aqua Lounge so I had two appetizers, soup and dessert which made a perfect dinner. The delicious cochinita pibil torta appetizer is large enough to qualify as a full entree. The jicama tacos were a delicious twist on a favorite dish made with a favorite vegetable. The marquesita dessert is a local specialty. If you love Nutella, you’ll love this. We were thrilled to have very professional and very fun Cesar who worked at mb for many years as our server. HIDDEN GARDEN (ASIAN FUSION) The setting at Hidden Garden is the star of the show. Chef Benedicto has really upped the menu with some interesting new options but was willing to combine two of my favorite dishes into one. We were happy to have Eduardo as our server again but honestly, they could serve me tepid water and stale bread and I wouldn’t notice in that beautiful atmosphere. VARENNA (ITALIAN) Last March and again in August, we were impressed with our server Mario at Varenna so we requested him again for both visits this time. He is a true professional! We revisited some favorite dishes from previous trips. The tomato soup, ravioli and opera cake are my favorites. We were thrilled when manager Susana introduced us to Chef Antonio who made us a special dinner so we could try something new - another one of those special surprises that comes up occasionally for repeat guests. We never expect special treatment like this so we are always thrilled when it happens. Thank you Susana and Chef Antonio! This is the smallest restaurant but if there’s a wait, it’s worth it! AND FINALLY…. As I tell my friends and family here at home, I say the beach is beautiful, the food is great but it’s the people who make Live Aqua special. I am constantly amazed at how many staff members know so many guests by name. We saw the mb assistant waiter Fidel from mb one morning at a completely different part of the resort and he greeted us by name. We saw bartender Omar in several locations on several different days and he always recognized us. Almost every employee we passed greeted us and it felt so sincere and welcoming - whether it was one of the gardeners, the woman keeping the bathroom spotless or one of the many staff who do all the set up and clean up throughout the day. The staff was great about making special accommodations. Highly recommend renting a bed or cabana even for one day. Our customer service specialist Eduoardo was so helpful and polite. Great food, great service, we would do it again. We are coming back for sure

We originally booked a different hotel with TUI, but after reading reviews, we decided to switch to this one—and thank goodness we did! My partner and I have stayed in many hotels across Europe, but this one tops them all. The facilities are incredible, the room was fantastic, the pool was beautiful, and the entire resort is just amazing. The staff are excellent and truly take care of you. My partner is gluten-free, and they made sure she was well taken care of. All the tacos are gluten-free, and you can also enjoy gluten-free pizza, fajitas, and more. Very impressive! As someone who's a bit picky about food, I do wish they had a buffet for dinner. The breakfast buffet is great, and there's plenty of food available for lunch by the pool and restaurants, but I just wish there was a buffet in the evenings. Without a butler, you can end up waiting over an hour in the evenings for a table at the restaurants. However, the food in all the restaurants was lovely, and there’s a good variety. Another small thing is that I wish there were more seating in the bar areas, but these are minor issues. The entertainment was excellent, so overall, I would 100% book this hotel again. We’re already looking forward to returning! I can see why people return P.S. The hotel is filled with Americans, which is expected in Mexico. They can be loud and drink a lot, but they’re great company—really friendly and funny!

Alejandra is helping us today, but they've all been great. I love that there is no music 🎵 pumping at the beach- it's just the sound of the ocean. We are staying in a suite and a butler is available to help us. Our butler, Sakny has been so good to us! She took care of booking our restaurant reservations, booking the cabanas and answering all our questions. Sakny has checked in with us daily (in person) and has helped to make this trip so special. We have gone to the awua club every evening for a drink. Guillermo is the bartender in the aqua club- he is so nice, hospitable and funny. Oh- I should give a shout out about the food- everything has been so good! Lived our time at viva aqua and will be back for sure!

Still a great hotel. All adults, luxurious. , Spa like zen atmosphere. A little less nice than previously due to some hotel changes. We had a circumstance that had us checking in 4 days before our reservation. Its during a busy time so we were unable to get a butler suite - we stayed in a regular room, which was absolutely lovely. The only drawback is that you are unable to make dinner reservations (unless you are in the suite) So, that is a ridiculous process. You have to go to the restaurants and hour before you want to eat (put your name on the list we did this at three each night) then check back in an hour, they tell you it will be another 20-30 minutes-then maybe 2 hrs later-you can eat somewhere (other than buffet) so just a stupid thing in my opinion. It completely takes away the ability to plan. That is a big minus, or just spend the extra $ to do the butler suite which also gives you a cabana ($85 to rent) and access to the aqua club (private bar with nibbles) better quality alcohol choices. The food at most of the restaurants used to be “wow” on our previous two visits, this time it was “Meh” not bad, not good (other than Carnivore which was better not great - but you have to pay extra ) The dining is what I call purgatory- could be better, Could be worse. The staff were mostly fantastic other than a few snarky hostess (think that would be a rough job with the reservations lacking, many unhappy guests) The massage was sub par and of no benefit- so avoid the spa - an unnecessary expense honestly. Ours was gratis due to the daily foot massage person being a no show twice. We moved to the suite on our last night also a lovely pristine room. The hotel used to be our favorite- would we come back again? Idk. What was good was excellent!

When we were able to go to our room they had a special surprise with balloons and wrote Happy Birthday on the mirror. We also had Champagne and desserts with a special happy birthday written on the plate. Thank you Alfredo! Our first night we decided to do room service because it was a long travel day. We had the Flank Steak and Cheeseburger. It was hot and came very quick. Very tasty to! There are so many staff that we would like to personally Thank because they are truly amazing and the reason we keep coming back. Monserrat: You are the most humble genuine woman who just keeps making it better and better each stay we come. Your smile, your attentiveness, your warm heart and they love you give we appreciate you! Jonathan & Luis (Manager): We just love your personality and how you pop up and give us big hugs. He will keep you dancing, moving and he's a comedian LOL. Eladio & Romero, Maggy, Sakny, Carlos (Butlers): We had Eladio and Romero as our Butlers. They were attentive and checked on us daily. We usually don't need a lot so we didn't use the butler service much. I love that they know this about us but still will check in and be there when we do need anything. Maggy, Sakny and Carlos would stop us and say hello. I love that all the Butlers knows us and even though we did not have them they still will greet us and show love. Flavio, Eduardo (Pool Cabana Staff): Flavio knows we love the pool club area. He makes sure we have the same spot every day! Eduardo works very hard to have the bed ready with towels. He is constantly running around. Porfi, Jose (Grill stations): Porfi is comical. Makes the best burgers and hotdogs. Jose always has a smile and the chicken and ribs are sooooooo good! A must try! Chef Wilian (MB Chef): WOW! He made us a special dinner for my husband and WOW! We are still talking about it. He is very personable, loving, kind and makes the best meals! The food was lovely, we loved the Mexican restaurant and the hidden garden for dinner and the Italian for lunch (the pasta is sooo nice). We loved the little Starbucks too Rooms are so clean and lovely, love the electric curtains! Staff are so lovely and welcoming and very friendly Literally 5 mins walk up the road and you can do so much shopping! They have a designer one and next door is more shopping which has Zara, H&M ect. I would 100% recommend live aqua I think it’s beautiful and a holiday I actually really didn’t want to leave!

I had never stayed at a hotel of this category where it was so difficult to find a place near the pool to relax because the vast majority of spots are by reservation. This is absurd and very unfortunate for an 'all-inclusive'. When we were reading the reviews of this hotel we saw people complaining about this. I wish we had given more weight to those complains as they were true and very valid. I would not recommend anyone willing to pay an "all inclusive" price to stay at this hotel as there are much better options at this price category (see picture, in red, sports for reservation, in green, free spots) ===================================================== Este hotel esta mas preocupado en obtener un ingreso adicional de ti que en tu comodidad. This was our first time at the resort and we were impressed with the staff. Edouard did a wonderful job setting up our cabana at the resort. He was very helpful and hospitable. The weather was beautiful with clean beaches that were private. We would come back!

This is our 6th time at LA and it remains our favourite beach holiday. We have another 2 trips already booked for this year. Our holiday starts before we arrive with Jonathan, Demian and Rebeca messaging before we arrive. Our room was ready and decorated with chocolate and old photos of us from previous trips. Hector, Speedy, Miguel and Jose in AKA bar had the gin and tonic’s ready and waiting and Frida at MB greeted us with a beautiful smile and was very kind in all her help. Chef Benedicto and Chef Javier cooked us superb food at Hidden Garden and the chef in Azur cooked us the seafood spaghetti that we had been dreaming about from our last visit. Carlos in Starbucks who is always happy and friendly despite the early hour ( take care of Katie duck !) Demian and his team at the beach hut provide an extremely efficient service and our cabana was always ready. It was wonderful to catch up with our old friends over breakfast. Gerry, Helvert, Juan Santos, David, Carlos, Jeramias and Oscar always looked after us. Juan Ariel in Azur is an old friend we have known for years and was one of the main reasons we made our second booking at LA many years ago. Tanki we hope you are back soon and look forward to seeing you in June. Our little family was not quite complete ( Mr Santamaria please pass on our regards to Mauricio.) Ricardo from the grill, it was a pleasure to meet you. Despite only being at LA for a couple of months the determination you are demonstrating towards your role is commendable. For us it’s the extra that LA staff provide. We had a leak one day in our room and maintenance staff attended 10 mins later. My wife needed help with an issue from Rebeca, minutes later a solution was provided. My wife was also ill one day ( nothing to do with the hotel) Monserrat from Azur offered to provide a separate menu of food for her. With Helvert and Ariel also helping. Monserrat / Jonathan thanks again for putting up with my wife’s constant demands. I know how difficult it can be!! I would like to mention a few house keeping rules. Whilst I appreciate not everyone can afford a tip, the occasional please and thank you would not go amiss to the extremely hard working staff. Only put on your plate what you are going to eat. The buffet is not going to run out of food and the amount of waste we saw was unforgivable. Please don’t wear swimming clothes to the AKA bar during the evening. I don’t want to sit on a chair that has previously had a wet bikini on it, and take your feet off the tables. Long trousers only for MB. See you all again in June. Katie and Jon Piper.
