The resort is great. Although not at 100% capacity, we enjoyed our stay the Theater is still not available, therefore we couldn't enjoy the night shows, but aside from that everything else was great. We met Yazmin who is member's concierge she was great . We got great attention and we were celebrating our anniversary and Yazmin had the nicest touch of sending us a personalized card, champagne and some chocolates. Yazmin was also helpful with making restaurant reservations, and more overall we were taken care of and felt we had a friendly person by our side all the time.

This resort is hands down the best one I have ever stayed at. The view is incredible and the food and drinks are phenomenal. The amount of chairs exceeds any other hotel and you never have to get up early to reserve. The staff are so hard working and cannot do enough for you- no matter which "level" of room you are. If you have the chance, check out this hotel! You will not be disappointed.

Amazing relaxful Experience
Wow what an Amazing experience at AVA. We had 2 incredible personal butlers for our entire visit. Victor and Tharvin were always available and made our visit memorable. The spa treatments were also on point. We will be returning in a few months and can’t wait.

The hotel was lovely. We had 2 butler’s that were amazing! Kenia & Plutarco made our stay so special… they made our reservations for dinners and spa, saved are seats at the pool, delivered top shelf liquor to our room. When are air conditioning was not working they upgraded our room and moved us. They were the best I could ask for!!! There is still ongoing construction at the hotel and they are working on rooms but they did not make noise that disturbed our stay at all. The food was excellent at Black Iron Steakhouse and Chez Moe French. We found it boring and said thank god we visited without kids. They need to step up the entertainment at the pool during the day. There are no shows and nothing to do at night but hang at the bar or go to the nightclub. It is not somewhere I would bring my child because he will be bored but he is 14 and too old for the kids club. The kids club was loved by other guests little guys under 12 they didn’t want to leave it was so much fun and they were having a blast.

My stay at the resort was nothing short of amazing! We spent my boyfriend’s birthday here, and I wanted to surprise him by decorating our room. Marlet and Elizabeth were incredibly sweet and accommodating — they assisted me with the decorations and even surprised my boyfriend with a bottle of tequila! I couldn’t thank them enough for making his birthday extra special. If you need any additional services during your stay, I highly recommend reaching out to these two wonderful women! The service all around was excellent! Make sure to stop by the adult side outdoor bar to see Ortiz! As for dining, I highly recommend Black Iron Restaurant — the food was absolutely delicious. The other restaurants we tried were also great. The only reason I’m giving one less star is because, although the resort is stunning, be prepared to do a lot of walking. It would be helpful if there were more entrances/exits to access the pool from inside the resort. Additionally, we noticed that during the day, there weren’t many lunch or daytime food options besides the two taco stations. Adding more convenient food options around the pool areas would definitely enhance the guest experience. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would definitely return. Huge thanks again to Marlet and Elizabeth for going above and beyond!

Accompanied my boyfriend on a business trip. The hotel is new and still trying to work through some things but overall a good experience. The food and service in the nicer restaurants was excellent. Definitely plan to make reservations! Bar and pool service was also really great. (It was the off-season). More of a pool scene than beach scene. Front desk service could have been better. AVOID the “Vacation Makers” and book direct through a reliable source. There was a mix up with a planned excursion on my last day and the vendor failed to pick me up. Apparently they had the wrong day on the reservation despite all of my paperwork being correct. More on the vendor than the hotel but having a middle man probably didn’t help. Because of their ties to only work with certain tour operators we could not find any remotely equivalent replacement. The only compensation offered for this really bad experience was a spa treatment I did not want, but they couldn’t offer the equivalent value spa credit which I would have used and spent additional money on top of. There is a lot of walking which I enjoyed but is not for everyone. Overall a good trip with a big asterisk for the tour situation.

I've often said that you can find palm trees, beaches and sunshine in a lot of places, but to find service and accommodations at Ava is rare. Having been to almost all Hard Rock Resorts, we are glad we were able to spend our second week in Mexico at AVA (first week at Unico, which also is a must to visit) for our 50th wedding anniversary. Without a doubt Samantha, our LVC Member Experience Host, was our most memorable encounter. Each evening Samantha would send tequila, sweets or champagne with a flower to our room. More importantly she took time to create a special relationship with us that meant a lot to us. Our pool time was spent at the LVC pool where we were cared for by Alonso, the pool supervisor and Filiberto, one of the Servers who attended to our needs and took time to share his personal life story with us. (I must mentón that all the pool servers at LVC were extremely attentive and engaging) Alonso, after hearing about our special occasion, served us a grilled salmon and champagne meal at the pool. Using the fitness facility daily, I can say it is the best resort gym I've ever seen. The variety of equipment, number of cardio machines, cleanliness and absence of "blasting" music made it top of the line. The spa facility is huge. Our reservations were taken care of by Roberto at the spa check in, who was so friendly and helpful. Finally, we enjoyed the Dez Nightclub and we're pampered by Oscar, the manager, who helped us celebrate with a special dessert and his very own drink creation dedicated to his daughter. Also, the sit down restaurants in the evening were top notch and I'd definitely consider fine dining. Throughout our week at AVA, we were treated with the warmest, kindest and most thoughtful service. At some point it became impossible to say thank you enough or in some more meaningful way. We will always remember our trip to AVA.

The hotel is a super nice, and they have a lot of restaurants for the all inclusive. Check the price on the per day for the all inclusive! We booked through Interval on a getaway week and then found out the all inclusive price for my husband and I was $7500 for the week. Granted, we paid very little for the actual reservation through interval, but it still seemed very high. The staff is amazing, and they go out of their way for you. So the service is fantastic, and the pools are very nice. The beach wasn't that great because there's seaweed in the water, so it wasn't the aqua blue, but they were trying to remove that seaweed every day, and hopefully someday they'll get it all. If you're looking for the beautiful blue water, you won't have it there. They make up for it with a saltwater pool that is pretty fantastic, and it's big enough that people can even ride kayaks. Overall, it was a really nice. And the concierge went out of their way to help us with things we booked outside. They only have nespresso machines in the room. So if you like espresso, you'll love it.But they also have a coffee similar to Starbucks downstairs. And you can get that any time of the day. They also have room service! Be prepared to do some walking because the hotel is extremely long and skinny, so to get from the north towers at the end to the lobby is several minutes walk. I didn't mind the walking, but for some people that might not be ideal. Everything's very new and modern and done well, and they didn't scrimp on finishes. I believe it opened in J 2024, so it is brand new.

We stayed at this resort mid February. This resort had top notch food and every restaurant requires reservations but can be booked before you even arrive. They do have the buffet area as well but not as good as restaurants. The pools are huge and a decent atmosphere for being so new. We spent most of our time at the adult pool which was great but more entertainment needed even a DJ everyday would be great. The rooms are very clean and modern and the room service was fast. It is a bit of walking from end to end but not bad. We did request to stay closer to adult pool but the evening manager said there were no rooms at maybe 50% capacity 2 nights in a row. Really?? ? He was the only staff that didn’t accommodate a simple request. We did not attend the club but was open all night some days. The best part of the resort is the staff. Everyone is so nice and attentive. I have to say Alejandro at the pool took care of us better than at any resort I have attended. We had excellent food and drinks in our hand before we even finished the last round. The only complaint i had was not one pool was heated or even the spa! The beach area is not like other areas in Cancun blue clear water so if ur a beach bum would not come here. But overall it was an excellent vacation.

Ava Cancun was an amazing stay for my wife and I. The highlights of our trip: The people - Angel, Marco (Taxi), Ivan (Dez Club), Sofi and Oliberio (Legendary Pool). Pictures below! The food - Didn't have a single bad meal, everything was amazing! Favorite was Livo. The resort - Clean, always stocked with what you need, pools were maintained. The only downside: Managers - They stand in the lobby dressed to the 9's, looking and acting important. I had staff come up and ask my concerns. Anytime I had one, they would say let me speak to my manager. They go to their manager, they talk for 2 mins, manager walks away and the staff are unable to help expedite. Not only did I see this with me but I saw guests heated at times with staff and the managers let their staff have it. Don't even care to walk over. Managers should help deescalate situations, not walk around and look pretty. Not sure why their staffed if they won't do anything. Thank God they have great staff who go above and beyond for you!

Got it! Here’s a more natural, conversational version: ⸻ This hotel was pretty disappointing. The Setup It’s designed like a cruise ship, which some people might like, but it doesn’t really feel like a resort. A lot of pitches to try to sell you a membership which was annoying. The Good • Great for preteens and teens – If you’re okay with giving them a daily allowance of ~$100, they’ll have plenty to do (bowling, laser tag, escape rooms, etc.). • Super comfy beds – No complaints here. • Every room is oceanfront – Waking up to the sunrise over the water is a nice touch. • Fun water activities – The kayaking and water obstacle course were a blast. • Good liquor – They use quality tequila and spirits, which isn’t always the case at all-inclusives. The Bad • The food situation is a mess – It ranged from decent to bad. I tried the French, Mexican, and Asian restaurants. The reservation system is ridiculous—you’re supposed to book same-day through an app that doesn’t work, so you have to call instead. I just walked up and asked about cancellations. Black Iron was fully booked every night. • No real resort vibe – You can’t see the beach from the pool, and the only outdoor space is the pool area. It doesn’t feel like you’re in Mexico. • The staff can’t really help – Not their fault, but the hotel doesn’t let them try the food or ever stay as guests. So when you ask for recommendations, they have no idea. That alone makes me not want to come back. Wouldn’t stay here again. It’s more of a large 3 star resort that could pass for a 4 but nothing about this is 5 star.

I will start by saying we a couple in our early 40’s, no kids, stayed for a long weekend at Ava. Have visited 10+ different AI’s. We are not members of any certain company/brand. We enjoy always trying somewhere different. This just did not hit the mark. Advertised as 5star. Certainly does not live up to that. I never leave reviews but felt it was necessary. Rooms are good size, beds are comfortable and every room is oceanfront. Pools are nice and we loved that you did not have to play the towel/lounge chair game. I’m sure this will change once they are close to capacity. When we checked in we were told they were less than half capacity. Pool service was friendly and attentive. Lagoon pool was beautiful but none of the pools had a view of the ocean/beach which was a disappointment. The beach is not what you imagine when coming to a 5star in Mexico. While the Sargassum is out of their control, the beach leaves little to be desired. Just a couple of loungers placed around. The sales pitches are brutal and pushy as at other resorts but this one rubbed me the wrong way when I was reminded multiple times that their commission was riding on us. Just not appropriate. Our balcony tub was dirty on arrival to our room. 3 straight days of calling and visiting the front desk and it still was never cleaned before we checked out. Never was able to enjoy a relaxing tub with an ocean view at the end of the day. The hotel in general needs a good cleaning. The same piece of pepperoni sat on the table outside of our elevator for 4 straight days. Still there when we checked out, who knows how long it will stay. The restaurant menus on their app do not accurately reflect the menu once dining in the restaurant. This was a huge disappointment to us. We’re also frequently told they were “out” of things. Room service was prompt, some food good, some food bad. The resort is HUGE. Can be good or bad depending what you like. While it isa family resort, I did feel there was a nice separation if you wanted. Food was mediocre on a whole but The unadvertised taco stand outside of Konos in north towers was delicious. In all, we would not return but overall got what we needed from the resort. Escape from reality, Sun, pool, and ocean view room. I would be more upset, but we got a good deal and did not pay 5 star resort prices. Thank god!

This was our first visit to Ava. It's a beautiful resort. It is unique in design in that it feels like you are on a cruise ship, especially when you are in your room looking out. The plus is that you look straight out a large window to beautiful blue water, and you are not having to peek through a tiny porthole! All of the restaurants are inside and they are beautifully decorated. More importantly, we loved our dinners! We enjoyed steaks as good as any high end steak restaurant including at the Mexican restaurant. We had outstanding service at every restaurant, but I failed to make a note of each waiter's name. I apologize for that. We want to compliment the manager of Chez Moi. The restaurant was busy, and he was helping the waitstaff and not just greeting diners. Very impressive! Raul at Chez Moi and Raul at Black Iron were fabulous waiters who were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions! All of the pools and pool areas looked so clean and fun, however, we only stayed at the adult pool. My only complaint is that the music there is painfully loud!!! We want to compliment all of the female staff at this pool. They quickly moved umbrellas(my husband felt he should have moved them, but they knew what they were doing) brought towels and were always checking on us. We had a wonderful lunch there with some of the best chicken enchiladas I have ever had. We loved our butlers Ariel and Victor. They were quick to respond to any requests, so professional, cheerful and friendly. I especially appreciated that Victor had hot tea sent to our room when he heard I had a cold. So thoughtful!! Although this isn't the typical resort because you don't walk outside to get to the restaurants, pool and beach area, so you won't see flowers and trees along the way, however, it is a stunning property with great service and fabulous dinners!

Now where do I start, this was a birthday trip for myself courtesy of my partner and this was a luxury experience from start to end. The hotel is CLEAN, they really do take pride in this, we were greeted by the loveliest staff upon entry after such a long flight this was needed. The tequilas while we checked in were a great touch lol. Every morning from our room we could see the sunrise and also the sunset which is just beautiful. The room was amazing, clean through and through just for context I have OCD so can be very particular with cleanliness etc but I have 0 complaints. The room was cleaned twice a day which was just fabulous and all rooms at this all inclusive resort face an amazing view of the ocean and hotel private beach. There were so many food options, you could eat at the all inclusive buffet or for dinners you could book at the restaurants which were 11/10 we visited all of the restaurants apart from the French and I have 0 complaints, from the food quality, to the drinks and the service it was amazing. Loads of different drinks options, although I stuck with tequila shots and strawberry daiquiris. There were many pool options but we preferred the adult only area, loveliest waiters and amazing pool side food to go with the tequilas. The hotel isn’t far from Cancun strip which is a nice touch as the strip is wild so it’s nice to have a resort away from the mess! All in all I will definitely visit again and I would like to give some shoutouts to a few staff members that made our stay really special: ANGEL amazing man Mario Daniel Mabel There were loads more but these are the few I remembered!
