From our landing on the island of Iru Fushi to our departure we could not fault the experience & the friendliness of all the staff. Hnin was allocated as our butler when we arrived and if there was anything we needed we would just message her and she would sort it out. The island was kept spotless, each morning we walked to breakfast all staff wished us a good morning. We had a water villa which twice a day we had housekeeping which was exceptional. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary the day before we departure and while we were out for our last meal housekeeping went in and decorated our bed with swans made of towels and a happy anniversary was written in leaves. Also Hnin had arranged a lovely decorated table for our last meal with a glass of champagne and a lovely Sweet shaped like a heart. We ate in 3 of the restaurants Bamboo, Trio and India all were outstanding. Our only small criticism was the booking of the restaurants is we didn’t know some people visiting the island had booked before there trip. Iru restaurant you don’t need to book the food was exceptional every day doing different themed nights. The Spanish night we asked for Sangria and the manager made it for us. This island is pure paradise and we would definitely go back. My wife had a spa treatment at Thalgo. All the staff were friendly and she would highly recommend doing.

Good things about the resort: 5 specialty restaurants at nighttime to choose from, 3 at lunch time as well as the main buffet restaurant so you really are spoilt for choice. There is no restriction on how many times during your stay which is a massive plus for us. (Restaurants reviewed separately further down) Lots of drinks were included in the all inclusive package, cocktails, champagne, named spirits and an extensive wine list. Easy to book restaurants via the app and all ours were booked prior to arrival although we did change a few once we got there as we had favourites. Island itself did not feel busy and you really could sit on a section of the beach on your own and no one else was there. Snorkeling is great and in front of the dive center we saw turtles and a sting ray on our first day. Dive center gives out snorkels and masks but we prefer to take our own. From the water villa it was very easy to swim just past the breakers to the reef where the boats from other islands come and park up. It needs to be done during a high tide so you can avoid the coral and be very careful of the current as swimming back is a lot harder than you think. We saw turtles, eagle rays, rays, black tip sharks and hundreds of other fish. From the water villa deck you could watch the pods of dolphins just past the reef but we never managed to swim with them. Iru buffet restaurant- we only used this for breakfast as I prefer al a carte. The staff however were very good in there especially Harish, Ashen and Gresham. I unfortunately wasn't very well whilst on holiday with a really bad head cold. Gresham made me a type of tea every morning (ginger/honey/etc) and soon had me feeling better, so thank you Dc Gresham. Flavours restaurant - this was our favourite and the food was superb in fact the only issue was what to choose. Starters: chicken livers, prawns, goats cheese all brilliant. Mains: Duck, fillet minion, fish were fantastic. Deserts -all good Trio-was a close second with an extensive menu and everything we tried was very good. Bamboo restaurant- open at lunch with a smaller menu. The king tiger prawns and prawn pad thai were all very good. The staff again were superb 'Shushi' (not spelt right sorry) and the other lady were lovely. Indian restaurant- we found quite spicy especially the soup but they will adjust the spice for your needs. Islander is a lovely setting eating on the beach with the lapping of the sea but we did find the service slow here and some of the staff struggled. Fluid kids pool- Super fast efficient service and we thought the best team as everything ran smoothly. Caesar salad lovely and the quesadillas were gorgeous. We found that a starter each and sharing a main was sufficient for us. Portions are not small. Reflections- adult pool area again could take quite a while to get your food but worth the wait. The squid starter was good and again could ask for no chilli on it. Prawn/fish skewer was good and various other items on the menu. In all the restaurants they do ice creams/sorbets and they are so good try every flavour. I spent time getting individual dollars so I could tip all the staff at the restaurants & the kitchen staff. This was a waste of time as I found out they pool their tips so just give a bigger note to one and they will share. Thalgo Spa is a hidden gem on this island, I had no idea the spa area was so big and beautiful setting. You get a free 30 minute facial which was really good. My only regret was I should have upgraded and paid the $83 for an extra 30 mins of treatment. I left the facial until my last day so unfortunately couldn't visit again. The white party- situated at No Mistake Bar beach on a Saturday was really good I was very surprised by the effort made by the hotel and staff. Champagne, canopies, free massages whilst watching the sun set what could be better. The not so good bits: The resort is tired, this is definitely not a no shoes no news island. You will get splinters in your feet from the decking or worse still screws stand proud and trust me will cut your feet. Replacement boards are different depths so uneven to walk on. The water villas need a complete refit very tired, laminate flooring is uneven wavy and damaged. Not all the blinds work in the room as pull cords broken. Bathrooms a few of our tiles in the shower were loose and they had to be re stuck. The design of the toilet is daft it is a long thin room and makes using it very awkward. Some of the drinks in the fridge were not included in the all inclusive which was weird so make sure you check as they were expensive Too many flies in the resort and this should be managed better I didn't see the point of the butler they whatsapp you the programme but you can see that from the app. Trips: We did the Manta ray trip and for 2 pple including taxes $750 you actually get 40 minutes in the water with them but there were 4/5 other boats there at the same time. One group from another boat were all in life jackets and rings and being dragged along via a rope as they couldn't swim! It was a nightmare avoiding them. The Manta Ray were about 5m deep and we couldn't free dive so we didn't feel it was worth the money. However having seen photos from a later trip they had a trip of a lifetime swimming amongst the Mantas, but that's nature for you. Local Island tour was free but I wouldn't recommend it for children. We didn't see many locals and kids were not in the school when we visited which was a shame. The sunset cruise was free but nothing special. Having done it previously at other islands I was expecting nibbles/champagne etc but it was just a bottle of water. Essentials to bring: Flip flops (recreation centre has courtesy flip flops if you break yours) Water shoes as quite a lot of dead coral on beach and waters edge Insect repellant you will need it Lots of Sun tan lotion as shop is expensive for everything Despite the negatives we would recommend it as 99% of the staff were really good, the food was really fabulous. I would definitely try another Siyam owned resort (not Siyam world which looked far too busy).

This resort surpasses all expectations. The area is beautiful with azure skies and tranquil turquoise seas. We stayed in a Deluxe Villa with a pool, so comfortable and plenty of outside sitting areas. ...and it was right on the beach. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were surprised with so many lovely touches. We were given a candlelit, sunset dinner on the beach and a beautiful bunch of local flowers. It was so thoughtful. The staff are helpful, courteous and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have the most wonderful experience. We are already looking into returning next year

Sun Siyam Iru Sushi was a dream! We hope we can return some day and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone! The resort is beautifully appointed, the variety of restaurants and bars was much appreciated. Our villa (beach villa with pool) was stunning, and the beach just a few steps from our bedroom was such a treat! But what made our stay truly exceptional was the staff. I have to mention first our butler Naveen who was an absolute star helping us with everything from rescheduling activities to saving us when we got locked out of our villa. Jawad the front office manager was so welcoming and friendly, always checking in with us throughout our stay. Vivek, the chef at Taste of India was incredible, as were our servers Sunaina and Jadeja. I must also mention Sathis, the artist at the pancake stand in the Iru Breakfast buffet, he worked so hard to create fun designs for children and the fluffiest pancakes for the adults, and always with the biggest smile! Arti at the spa was great, Aalif at the scuba center was super friendly and Monjil was our favourite gold cart driver!

From start to finish we couldn't fault the experience we had on the island of Iru Fushi. The welcome we received upon arriving at the island was exceptional, everyone was so friendly. We were allocated a butler (Hnin) who was superb in every way. She made sure we had all the information we needed and communicated with us on a daily basis. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The food at every restaurant we ate at was excellent and the service was second to none. The island is kept superbly clean and tidy by the team. Our water villa was amazing, with fabulous views over the sea. Housekeeping made sure the villa was clean and tidy, with the mini bar and water replenished twice a day. A holiday of a lifetime, total paradise.

We had 8 nights at this beautiful island and we both have nothing but amazing things to say about it. From the moment we stepped off the sea plane it was just like walking into what I can only describe as utter paradise. When we arrived we were greeted with smiling faces and music. We had a butler for the week however we agreed that it wasn't really a "butler" more an information guide which was sent via WhatsApp in the mornings of what to expect and what was going on that day. We did feel a little disappointed that we didn't know more about trips that were available to go on until our last day which we felt could have been a great opportunity. We were extremely lucky with the weather it was just fabulous the whole time we were there. My husband is also a keen diver and had his padi licence however due to having not dived for 2 years he had to do a re-fresher course which was $250 dollars + all the taxes so it was very expensive and didn't include the opportunity to go out afterwards so you are looking at around £600 to dive. The island was a good size and perfect for couples and families. The food in all of the restaurants was exceptional. My favourite has to be Bamboo if was just exquisite, my husband's favourite was taste of India. The breakfasts in the morning were delicious too, so much variety, the pancake man was always so great with the children making them different pancake shapes. We opted for a beach villa which we are really pleased we did as you had the sun most of the day and direct access to the beach. Although the thought of the water villas is a really nice touch they didn't get the sun all day and we felt it was a long walk to get to the island from some of the water villas so my advice if you are someone who struggles with walking opt for a beach villa. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the turn down service was also a really nice touch. The mini bar was always stocked up just make sure you look at what is and isn't included as we got stung on one day as we didn't really the information correctly and got charged for certain items! It was our fault for not reading correctly! The entertainment was good, not over powering and the sax man ( sorry didn't get his name) was brilliant highly recommend watching him by the islanders bar when sunset was on, it was just magical. We had the honeymoon package which you could book as long as you had been married in the last 12 months and could show your marriage certificate. It was worth the money and could split the experience over a couple of days as you do get quite alot included. We had a private dinner on the beach and honestly it was so magical, Rahul was looking after us and he was absolutely brilliant he couldn't have done anymore to make us feel so special, the chef who's name I didn't get his food was exceptional and couldn't fault anything. The area that made it for me were the people, I have never been anywhere where the people have been so polite, kind, every single member of staff when you walked past them said hello and made a real effort including contractors. The spa was super, we had a couples massage and it was brilliant, very much recommend, again the staff there really looked after you. When we were leaving the resort we had just paid our bill and I got a message from the "butler" to say they had missed off a tip on our final bill, considering how much we had paid to go to the island and the bill we had just paid which was expensive to come running to get a further $20 dollars just didn't feel quite right. We did ask our butler a number of questions about returning to the island in the future and if there were any promotions or loyalty points if we wanted to return and would it be best to book direct, we were informed that there were some promotions and when asked what these were they didn't seem to be worth it unless you had been to the island 5/10 times which seemed a bit of a shame but there was definitely no trying to get us to re-book. One thing to note is the mostiquos make sure you take lots of spray with you as I got bitten quite a bit while out there, we were provided with spray in the room but definitely take something in case you do get bitten. Below I have named as many people we came into contact with however I have to say they were all exceptional and I am really sorry I couldn't get more names. I witnessed not all clients being kind to the staff with some being demanding or not having manners which was a shame to see but the staff couldn't have been any better. I would highly recommend going to this resort as it was a 10/10 experience for us. Thank you so much for providing us with a honeymoon we will never ever forget. We have returned from a nine night holiday to Sun Siyam Iru Fushi in the Maldives. The whole Island Is beautiful and we were made to feel welcome from the first moment we landed in the Sea plane, an experience in itself. We stayed in a water villa on the left side of the jetty, this made for a good location for sealife and views. The villas are perfectly angled to assure privacy which we loved. Some are undergoing renovations /updating. We had regular visitors float by the villa including sharks, rays and a multitude of different fish which we very much looked forward to seeing everyday. The whole area is peaceful but you can find whatever suits you when you want a bit more action. You can be busy or relaxed with no fuss. Special thanks to Aung our butler for arranging things for us. We loved seeing Min the egg chef every morning as his smile could make your day! Greshan in the iru restaurant was always happy to see you, thank you for the fresh pineapple juice every day! The staff at the spa are so welcoming and make the atmosphere calming and relaxing. Had a facial with Amelia that was amazing. Take a moment to take in the beautiful landscape around the spa area. Trio restaurant is in a fantastic location with wonderful food and if you are seated outside you can watch the crabs while you eat. Flavours restaurant was amazing and Asiri certainly made us feel special, very knowledgable about the wine and cared that you had a wonderful experience. we dined inside and out there, you can see sharks in the evening over the jetty too. We had a birthday celebration and the staff prepared the table with a message and a cake, took photos and sang happy birthday which was a special touch in the taste of India seafront location. We dined in Bamboo and this was equally as good food and next door to the waterfront bar. Overall a really great holiday experience, thank you to the customer service managers too for a wonderful stay.

The best snorkeling experience !! The corals are beautiful, the fish variety is amazing and their size is quite impressive compared to French Polynesia ( no natural predators we’re being told). Highly recommend snorkeling by the 600s Villas during high tides! The food is really good but I would highly recommend the All Inclusive package as individual meals would get very pricey. The staff is super friendly… it was my husband birthday and the room was beautifully done by Mari with a bath waiting for him when we came back from dinner ! We also have an artist Sathis making us special pancakes every morning (see photos)! And a special ‘clin d’œil’ to Christophe who made me feel like a VIP the other day and made us laugh with stories of multiple anecdotes of his hospitality career… 🤣

A truly outstsnding stay in a beautiful location. Organisation of our transfers and events once in situ were first class. The diversity of wildlife, particularly in the ocean, was fascinating. To see reef sharks and various rays, as well as a variety of fish of all shapes and sizes, drifting below our villa was a marvellous experience. A visit to the Spa is a must. The villa was lovely if a little 'tired' although I noted some adjacent villas undergoing refurbishment. Not a cheap stay but well worth the expense.

Just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at Iru Fushi. From the moment we arrived to the last minute at this wonderful resort we were treated exceptionally by the wonderful staff. There are so many I could mention as everyone we came in contact with could not do enough to help but I will mention a few below: Chef Nalaka and his team for the outstanding food on offer every night Sardiagna- Our room assistant (villa 300) turned our private photographer who was amazing Gresham & Silva - Who waited on us every night and always had a smile and a conversation Shelton - For his beaming smile and great conversation , I'm sure he did more? (private joke) This island resort is lush and beautiful with white golden sands and amazing clear blue waters. Exactly as it shows you in the advert. We stayed in a Deluxe Beach Villa with Pool (300) and it was everything we could have wished for with direct access to the beach, just a few metres away. The island and the accommodation is well layed out meaning that you can enjoy your peace and seclusion whilst also meeting and chatting to other guests when in the mood. There are many things to do to keep you occupied and I spent the majority of my time in or on the water, snorkelling and swimming. I never thought I would get so close to fair sized sharks but the black tip sharks were amazing to swim with and soon left after an initial inquisitive look. We also saw Stingrays, Manta rays and Turtles as well as and abundance of different coloured fish. There are a number of restaurants to use and my wife will do a separate review on the food , but needless to say they were all amazing. If you want a relaxing holiday where you can completely de-stress on a beautiful paradise island with wonderful staff this is the place for you. We will definitely be back. Final thanks goes to Ibrahim and Atham (Resort Manager) for the relaxing evening chat we had at the beach bar followed by a bottle of champagne sent to our room which we enjoyed the next day (picture included). We are just back from a week long holiday on this wonderful island and have to say that this is the best island we have been to so far, and we have been to quite a few over the years. Firstly, it would be difficult to single out any member of staff for special praise as everybody we met were friendly and helpful and the service we received was always excellent. The island is very lush and beautiful with pathways shaded by the extensive plants and trees. The food at all the restaurants we visited did not disappoint, including the buffet restaurant Iru where there was always plenty of choice to suit your taste. We love to dine outside whenever we can and this island is set up well for this including the bar areas with virtually any drink available. You are spoilt for choice. It should be said that this is not the best island for snorkeling as the lagoon stretches out a long way so the reef is inaccessible unless you go on an organised safari which is chargeable unlike some islands where this is free if you are on the all inclusive package which we always do. Access and swimming in the lagoon is excellent and the beaches have soft white sand which is comfortable to walk on without beach shoes, unlike some. Despite this one complaint regarding snorkeling, I would highly recommend Sun Syam Iru Fushi as a great choice.

Last year we celebrated our 43rd Wedding anniversary in the " once in a lifetime Holiday " here. This year we find ourselves returned to discover that 2 weeks in Iru Fushi are definitely better than 1 week. We knew that the island scenery was amazing, the all inclusive food sensational and the people looking after us were the friendliest. We were greeted like old friends. I can assure you that any photographs or videos you see from people who have visited do not fully do justice to this oasis in the Indian Ocean. Until this year I had never snorkelled - I can now. Until this visit I had never stood up on and achieved vertical on a stand up paddle board. I didn't manage that feat but the water is warm, the laughs are genuine and Iru Fushi and the people there are ( to quote the late Tina Turner ) " Simply the best "

Iru Fushi was a lovely place to relax for a few days at the end of a busy holiday. The island is beautiful…not too big…easy to circumnavigate. It felt very luxurious and at times you felt like you were the only people there! All staff were very attentive and helpful, from the house keeping; waiting staff; catering staff; and our butler assigned to us. The food was amazing, particularly the Thai restaurant and the Maldivian buffet. Breakfasts were lovely & varied with something for everyone. The island and the villas were well kept. It never felt too busy. Would definitely recommend a holiday here😊

We had an over water villa and we could not fault the room or service. Everything was amazing and the all inclusive food and drinks was exceptional. We had our own personal conceirge Hnin she was amazing helping us book tours and making our stay perfect in every way. Our turtle safari was cancelled unfortunately as there was an electrical storm and it was cancelled and we were coming home before the next one. My husband and I wish we had stayed longer it is just like the brochure gorgeous and you could never take a bad photo so much scenic views and the water and ocean life was just mesmerising. We will be back and only stay here it is incredible. We can not wait to go back. Great holiday loved it

I ought to have left this review months ago. We spent an amazing 2 weeks at the Sun Siyam Iru Fushi at the end of Nov 24. We stayed in a water villa which was very comfortable, kept very clean and had a very well stocked mini bar with wine, fruit juices, soft drinks and lager and tea and coffee machine. The island is beautiful and the range of restaurants included in your AI is fabulous. The food was delicious at all the restaurants and with good quality drinks and wine selections. I have stayed in the Maldives 5 times now but this is definitely the best I have experienced and I think this mainly due to the a la carte service at all the restaurant’s rather than only having buffet restaurants for dining. On saying that the main buffet restaurant was also excellent and I have never seen such a wide choice of food and drink available at breakfast ever before. The staff are all so kind helpful and friendly. Rasu the lovely waitress from Nepal made our evenings in the Islanders Grill extra special and there was a very sweet waitress in the Bamboo restaurant who made our evenings there a delight but it was also lovely seeing how kind she was trying to help a new waiter gain his confidence speaking to the guests. I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name. We paid extra and had a wine tasting evening, had a lobster bbq on the beach and used the spa which were all first class. We enjoyed a sunset cruise round the island which was part of our AI which was lovely. The bar staff at the waters edge were always very attentive providing glasses of water with every drink and nibbles. The food at both The Refections Pool and Fluid were also delicious but we mainly used the Fluid Bar for lunches and the service and food was exceptional as was the vast choices of cocktails etc that was available. My husband went diving 8 times and could not sing the praises of the dive staff enough, particularly Ahacho and also Rob and Alouf. They were very professional, very safe, knowledgeable and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Finally I can only say that I couldn’t recommend this outstanding resort more other than to say I would go back in a heart beat and I’m very very happy to say that we are doing that and returning at the end of Nov 25. Really looking forward to seeing the staff again and experiencing this wonderful resort and seeing the beautiful sea life .

This was our second time staying at a Sun Siyam resort, and we purposely picked it as the service they provide is exceptional. From the complimentary neck massage on arrival at the sea plane airport lounge to the attentive service from your personal butler - ours was the fantastic Neeshaadh - you are looked after so well. The restaurants on the island were so good, the food was delicious and well presented. We particularly enjoyed our lunches at the Relections bar, where the bar manager ran a very efficient service, Bamboo restaurant, where we were served by the delightful Shuoon, Taste of India and the wonderful French fare at Flavours. With plentiful bars to sit and relax it is a great location for a relaxing holiday. Both Nischal and Gayan stood out here as providing a great service. We'd had one concern when we first arrived at the slow speed of service at the bars which we'd reported on the questionnaire sent out, and were impressed that the Customer Services Manager found us the following evening to apologise and discuss it with us. As we were there right at the beginning of, I assume, the start of the main season I expect it was just a case of getting staffing numbers right. What also impressed us was the main hotel Manager, who was always visible, even stepped in to serve food and drinks when it rained one day and the pool bar became packed. The Spa was very tranquil and we would recommend booking the private spa area for an hour during a stay, something that isn't obviously available to you. The snorkelling was amazing. We preferred the other side of the Island to Nemo Park, which was perfect as this was where our villa was. We had three issues that we weren't happy with:- Firstly, on the local island boat trip there was not enough water for the return journey for everyone, only fizzy and juice drinks which I found disappointing. Secondly, as we had a beach pool villa there was no parasol provided for the beach sunbeds. This was annoying as we had chosen a beach villa to sit on the beach but had no shade to enjoy it during the hotter hours and to be able to escape to a more peaceful location away from our pool (see next comment). The biggest problem we had was the noise from our neighbouring villa, halfway through our 10 day stay. The policy of the island is to mix family and couples accommodation throughout the resort, however, this meant our peaceful holiday was slightly spoilt when a very noisy family moved in. As we were no where near the family pool area we thougt it a strange place to house a young family. Our butler was very good when we explained the problem and we were offered a different villa but it seemed a lot of hassle to move at this point, but the hotel's response once again was very good. We would definitely recommend the resort as the things that were important to us, beautiful beach, great snorkelling, amazing food and fanastic accommodation were all there, plus exceptional service, but we would suggest perhaps a better way of accommodaton allocation.

Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is absolutely magnificent and beautiful. Our personal assistant Hnin was very helpful, warm and accommodating even when the weather changed she was devoted that we got the best for what we wanted in our amazing holiday. We will be back again!

We spent a wonderful 6 nights on this beautiful island. Our villa with its own pool was 15 steps from the gorgeous white sandy beach. The food was excellent and the staff were always smiling and friendly. Although the resort was near capacity it never felt busy or crowded. Our butler Aung made sure everything went like clockwork and was able to get us reservations for restaurants and events that were fully booked online. Special mention too for our snorkel and nature walk guide Shah who was a fountain of knowledge. We definitely would like to return for a longer stay. Highly recommended.

Just got back from a week stay at Siyam Iru Fushi, what can I say it was amazing a dream holiday, think Paradise and you won’t be far off. Normally I am ready to come home after a week but I could have stayed another two weeks here. A truly beautiful resort with a chilled atmosphere, you could choose to have the beach to yourself or walk a bit further for some company. We stayed in a deluxe beach villa with pool, the room was stunning and the cleaner did a great job it was spotless. The pool was a great place to relax with privacy we took inflatables and spent around two hours each day floating on the pool pure bliss. We had breakfast at Iru each morning and loved the pancakes which were made in front of you. Lunch time we favoured Fluid and the staff here were amazing especially Abdulla what a gentleman loved having chats with him, the service here was super and the food was truly delicious. The A La Carte restaurants were amazing the view from the French restaurant was great watching the baby sharks and fish as you eat and the food was fantastic. We loved Bamboo restaurant the Italian we went to twice best pasta. Taste of India had a beautiful setting on the beach and the food just wow. Our butler Hnin was so helpful and friendly couldn’t do enough for you nothing was to much trouble thanks so much. We paddle boarded for the first time in the calm clear waters which was really special. We went on a jet ski safari which was one of the highlights of the week, super guide took us to a desert island where we had a dip in the sea and he took photos for us what an experience, Had a lovely facial at the spa and a massage which was the best ever and a beautiful setting in the middle of the jungle. Overall an amazing holiday we will never forget and am truly grateful for a fantastic week in pure luxury the service was impeccable we hope to return soon. Having been to Siyam World three years ago, Siyam Iru Fushi did not disappoint., Our beach villa was perfectly placed for all amenities. The food venues were all excellent, particularly Flavours restaurant. We chose to eat as an ‘extra’ at the Islander Grill & the seafood platter was exceptional. We chilled around the adult pool at Reflections some days, which was never busy & very relaxed. Our butler Zaeen made the trip perfect. He was attentive to all our requests & was always on hand if needed. We will be back!

Fabulous resort in a stunning location. Arriving by seaplane was a first for us and provided a wonderful introduction to the stunning atolls that make up The Maldives. The resort is well laid out and our clean and spacious over-water villa felt private and secure, with a large decked area. We appreciated the speedy availability of buggies to get around the resort as the temperatures were in the mid to high thirties and humidity was around 50%. Too hot for tennis or badminton, although both were available. Our housekeeper, Bhuwan, and our butler, Hnin, made sure that all aspects of our stay were comfortable and well organised: all the staff were friendly and helpful. The resort offers a good selection of trips and activities, many of which were free. We had previously been on a tour in India so were happy to have a fairly relaxed stay, preferring to be in or close to the water. Do use plenty of sun cream and wear a T shirt when swimming as the sun is very strong. The snorkelling safari was amazing and there was also lots to see when snorkelling within the house reef. (Snorkelling kit was provided free of charge for our stay.) Swimming with sharks was another first for us. There was plenty of shade, both on our sun deck and around the resort. We were impressed at the policy of clearing 'abandoned' sunbeds so they could not be hogged by other guests, although this was not always applied. Swimming towels were provided at the beach and at both pools. The Reflections pool was stunning, although, for us, the Fluid bar pool was more fun to swim in. The main restaurant, Iru, offers a fantastic selection of different cuisines, complemented by several specialist restaurants. Snacks and drinks are also available at several locations. Some of the other restaurants are available at no extra charge for all inclusive guests, others offer a 50% discount. The food at the French and Italian restaurants was excellent. We did not attend all the evening activities but those we went to were very enjoyable. The resort was not at full occupancy during our stay and there was never a problem with noise. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 day stay - The Maldives is a very special place to visit.

It was wonderful to reset at the airport lounge in Male after our flight. A spacious cool area offering food, drinks, a massage and a view of the sea planes out on the deck. The holiday really started here, On arrival at our island we received a lovely welcome and met our butler, Naveen. He was an absolute star. He immediately took care of our request to change to all inclusive. He gave us a very attentive personal concierge service throughout our stay - quietly in the background giving us daily island info via WhatsApp and checking in on us to ensure all our needs were being met. He was thoughtful, respectful, friendly and not at all intrusive. Our beach villa on the sunset side was perfect. We couldn’t have chosen better. It was spacious, very private and kept immaculate. So hard to name exemplary staff when everyone there, including those behind the scenes, demonstrated a genuine desire to ensure every guest had the best holiday experience they could provide. Christoff has moved on now but we won’t forget his hilarious banter and professional wine advice. I’m sure he’s left a big void. Kristopher (I think the overall restaurant manager) …. Such a gentleman, provided a food service second to none - particularly for me being vegan/plant based. The dining for me was superb. In the evenings we chose the restaurants instead of the buffet. I’m not used to such an abundance of choice, quality and divine dishes. I was personally catered for at The Taste of India twice with the chef coming to chat with me and creating me taylor made delights. I think his name was Vivet. I was over the moon. Flavours food is incredible. We dined there 3 times and again the chef (Vinay in think) came to ask if he could make me anything special. Trio was lovely but very dark! Bamboo - great food but not in the best location for ambience. Islanders Grill was lovely but not a favourite. I think I ordered wrong to be fair. Highly recommend the spa. Not something we do at home so it was a real pleasure. It’s a hidden gem. We loved attending the Management Cocktail party which for us happened to be held on our first and last evenings, it’s a perfect opportunity to mingle with the island team as the sun goes down and be served champagne and cocktails and taste exquisite canopés. I agree with an earlier review that an option of some shade by our sun beds would have been welcomed ( like the ones on the beach by the adult pool) We enjoyed a lot of snorkelling, we visited the reef beyond the dive centre and the areas off the ends of the water bungalows as well as off the beach on both sides. We kayaked and paddle boarded. The only trip we did was the sunset cruise which was worth doing for sure. I hope the cats are looked after. I worry about any veterinary care they need. Could the island manage without them there at all? I’d recommend swim/beach shoes for walking around the island although we didn’t always use ours. I bought two dresses in the boutique and we frequented the ice cream shop where a vegan sorbet was available for me. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the main ‘hub’ area where Waters Edge is. The Iru breakfast was fantastic. We had a couple of lunches there too but preferred the setting of the Reflections area. All in all this was a totally dreamy holiday experience and thank all the island crew for their efforts. If you have a plant based food preference then you won’t be disappointed here.

We had absolutely fabulous 9 days in Iru Fushi. The resort is chosy, but still quiet and you can easily find your own private corner to relax. We stayed 7 night in deluxe beach villa with pool followed by 2 nights in infinity water villa. Both were fantastic, we especially loved the private garden with cabana and pool of the beach villa. Dropping to cristal clear sea from the water villa was also fantastic experience. The All-inclusive plan really was inclusive with large variety of restaurants to choose, from Italian to French and Indian to South-East Asian. The main buffet restaurant had exetensive selection of food for every taste. The resort also arranged special dinners such as beach BBQ feast (with unlimited lobster) and wine cellar dinner led by the head sommelier of the resort. Truly amazing settings that compares to the quality of any good restaurant in large cities aroun the world. And not to forget amazing house band of the resort that complemented some of the dining experiences! The highlight is however the effortless service we received from people working in the resort. We would especially like to thank Bidhan from Iru restaurant, you made every morning special to us and we thoroughly enjoyed the laid back talks with you. Thank you so much for the last morning special breakfast setting! Your a star. Thank you also to Madhu and Panca, your professionalism and effortless service with always smiling, was really enjoyable to receive in many of our meals. Our housekeepers Ana (beach villa) and Taker (water villa) deserves also big thanks. The villa was always spotless clean with little special things prepared almost every night in turndown service. Thank you also to our butler Shahu, you always had answer ready to us whatever we needed. What a paradise.

We had the most amazing time once again. This was our second visit and the experience did not disappoint at all. The quality and choice of food was exceptional. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We must mention Hnin our butler. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so efficient. Every morning we would receive our itinerary for the day by WhatsApp. Hnin was truly amazing at her job and it was such a pleasure to get to know her. The excursions were brilliant, you must do the snorkeling, dolphin cruise and turtle safari. We have so many amazing photos and video's from these excursions. The guides are so knowledgeable and helpful. Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, really is a piece of paradise.

We have just spent 7 nights in the parsdise of Iru Fushi celebrating our honeymoon, this was our first time visiting the beautiful Maldives, and hopefully not our last!! From stepping foot off the seaplane, we were greeted with an amazing reception of staff & also by our butler Aalam who went above & beyond for us during our stay. Aalam took time to give us a warm welcome to the island, help us find our way & settle in. Aalam kept us updated with daily activities via WhatsApp & also met us in person several times during our stay to check all was good! Every single member of staff we encountered from bars & resteraunts to housekeeping were helpful & kind. Food & drink was delicious - plenty of choice in buffet! Our personal favourite meal had to be flavours! We also had spa treatments which we thoroughly enjoyed, the spa is outstanding. We received a couple of lovely touches through the week to celebrate our honeymoon which made the trip more personal 🥰 Thank you to Aalam & all the staff at Iru Fushi for making our first trip to Maldives & our honeymoon unforgettable 🌸🐢🥥🌴🐠

A bucket list holiday which did not disappoint. Superb island with beautiful people. The staff were brilliant, remembering everything and very attentive at all times. Can't remember everyone but noted the staff members who exceeded our expectations. Prince (had only been there for one month, so helpful and pleasant. Sheehan, Guyan, Kola (manager at waterfront bar) always had time for us. Nischal, the best of a very good bunch, looked after us very well and had my coffee ready every morning. Dilshan and Senil. We were very sad to depart but we will definitely return. Stayed in a deluxe beach bungalow with pool for 7 days and then transferred to the overwater villa with infinity pool for the last 3 days. Both have their advantages but think the overwater villa was pure luxury. So much choice for restaurants, out of them all, the Italian washer favourite and the staff could not have done more, 10/10.

Amazing stay at Sun Siyam, Iru Fushi, from the moment you step off the plane and are welcomed into the Sun Siyam lounge at Male airport the service is impeccable! Arriving in resort to drums, a bamboo necklace and flower in your hair, cool towel and drink….the welcome sets high expectations and the rest of the stay didn’t disappoint! All colleagues were so lovely, food was very high standard and great choice of restaurants! Location is just beautiful and enough activities available to keep busy but also quiet icing sugar beaches to relax on if you just want to chill out! The spa is amazing too…definitely worth a visit….gorgeous treatments and such a beautiful environment! Special mention for our butler Aung…he was amazing 🤩 and made everything easy and the restaurant manager at Flavours French restaurant for getting us a table for our last nigh, fab food and service and the best view and dinner entertainment watching black tip sharks as we ate! I would recommend and will definitely hope to return!
