This is my third time on Centara Island and it was just as brilliant as ever I love this place not only the beauty of the setting but the fantastic service from the staff Especially Channapha on reception who greeted us so warmly when we arrived but went beyond to make sure our stay was the best possible experience Also one of the waiters Mua who spent so much care in his own time on a table decoration especially for us to say goodbye on our last night Also the spa staff were brilliant .. the best facial I’ve ever had !! To say nothing of the back rub ! The food was excellent and a particular treat was the Tappen yaki experience and a wonderful Thai cooking lesson with the Thai chef Everyone was simply great including Laden who helped me download the app for this review but as well as this the peace and beauty of the Island makes me want to return again and again I will be back ! We came to Maldives on 10-13 of march 2025, the weather is good, sunny but not hot, the water in the lagoon os crystally clear. All the staff of the resort are nice and handy. Alauddin, the butler, made my room tidy and clean with a couple of beautiful elephants fold towels on the bed!

We stayed in the sunset overwater villas with the pool- worth it for insane views, the room was lovely & so much space. We had a warm welcome from Nata & the housekeeping team were fantastic. As part of opting for sunset overwater villas we got an upgrade to club access- private pool & beach, a chilled breakfast (reduced selection), afternoon tea, sunset canapés & unlimited drinks was a highlight. A special shoutout to Rishard & Mitchel for excellent service & making our club stay wonderful. We didn’t get bored- lots of activities throughout the day from beach yoga & HIIT workouts (shoutout to our instructor) to fish feeding. We went on the whaleshark snorkelling tour but didn’t see whalesharks- we did hear they did have success a few days later. The snorkellling from the villas was incredible- beautiful reef with abundant wildlife! The restaurants were lovely- definitely a step above the buffet. Also had a lovely massage at the spa, felt truly relaxed & one of the better massages we’ve had. All in all would recommend this resort!

We are in awe!!! Wowowo! 2 days into our holiday and I had to write a review. This place is definitely 10/10 in our experience so far. The food, the staff, the views, the accommodation, just incredible. I had read some bad reviews before we came and I know each person has their own experiences but please, this hotel is exceptional. Michelle and Rishard in the club have been so lovely and will do anything to help, and the Thai food restaurant just wonderful. We are in a beach villa and it’s everything we could dream of. The Azzuro Italian is spectacular. I will update as we go along but please, with one of the best award winning house reefs to snorkel around, this resort is wonderful! Thank you and so excited for the rest of holiday x

We loved our stay at Machchafushi Island Resort. From the moment we stepped on the island, it had been an amazing experience. Food options are great ranging from buffet at Reef to a la cart menus at Suan Bua and Mare Azzurro to amazing drinks selection at Aqua and Coral bar especially from people like Siva, Rox and Kumar knowing exactly what you feel like in the moment. Habib was amazing for making our in-villa experience fully comfortable with not only general housekeeping but also making sure we’re at ease and have everything we want available to relax at all times in our accommodation. His friendliness was beyond words. We really appreciate everything he did. Overall, would love to come back to this resort for this incredible experience.

Our stay at this Maldivian resort was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Nata at the reception, whose kindness and professionalism made us feel at home instantly. The rooms were breathtaking, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The overwater villas provided stunning views of the turquoise ocean, and every detail was carefully curated to ensure a relaxing and unforgettable stay. Waking up to the sound of gentle waves and stepping directly into the crystal-clear water was a dream come true! The service was impeccable—every staff member went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. A special thank you to Sharvin at the restaurant, who always greeted us with a smile and ensured we had an exceptional dining experience. The food was exquisite, with a variety of fresh and flavorful dishes catering to all tastes. For activities, Sujith was fantastic! He organized amazing sports activities on the island, making sure we had a great time while staying active. Whether it was beach volleyball, tennis, or other land sports, he was always there with enthusiasm and professionalism, making every game fun and engaging. On the day of our departure, Yuva was incredibly kind and helpful, making sure everything went smoothly and assisting us with great professionalism. His attention to detail and warm approach truly made a difference. This resort is pure paradise, combining natural beauty with five-star service. If you’re looking for an unforgettable escape to the Maldives, this is the place to be! We can’t wait to return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended!

This was our first visit to Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa and it were so many things we loved about the resort: Service - the service was fantastic. All of staff are extremely friendly and everyone, even management, want to ensure that guests have a special experience. Tranquil - as soon as you step foot on the resort, you can't help but feel relaxed! The island is small which makes it a very intimate and special experience. Food & Drinks - the food and drinks were fantastic. The 2 al a carte restaurants and all of the bars had a great variety on offer. Our favourite restaurant was Mare Azzurri - everything we had was divine! The buffet always had a great variety and was always fresh. Snorkeling - if you love snorkeling, then you will love this resort. The island has so much reef you will never have enough time to explore it all. We saw so much sea life, it really was an impressive reef. Gym - for those of you who like to work out (to balance out the All Inclusive lol) the gym is great. Everything you need for a full body workout and it is well maintained. Room - We had an overwater sunrise villa and it was so spacious and well appointed, we couldn't have been happier. Huge bathroom and stunning views across the turquoise waters. Thank-you to all of the staff at the resort for making our stay so wonderful...and special thanks to Nalin, Riyaz, Shervin, Robert, Yuva, Rishard and Mitchel.

Had a fantastic week here in February, stayed in a club pool overwater villa and couldn’t fault it. The staff are wonderful (full of smiles and it was lovely to see how well treated they are by the management - dining in the same restaurants as the guests for example), the resort is ultra chilled out and the restaurants are high quality. We used the club facilities and would thoroughly recommend it. Excellent snorkeling either off the steps of our room or at the back of the dive centre. Special mention and thank you to the following staff that looked after us: Buchu in reservations - superb. Chef Giu (tableside prepared Tiramisu was off the charts!) Irfan & Ashik in the Italian restaurant - what a pair of superstars! Faruk on reception Rishard & Mitchel in The Club Room Boy Munna The lady that manages the Thai restaurant (sorry we didn’t get your name) Thank you all. Don’t usually return to the same resort but might be making an exception with this one, the ultimate relaxation destination!

The room we stayed in was amazing. Always clean and tidy. Everyday Amanulla came and cleaned our room and left everything in perfect condition for us. Amazing Can’t recommend this place enough. The staff are so very helpful in all areas of the resort.

Amazing resort, the team at Machchafushi Island ensure your stay is perfect. Pat at reception was super welcoming and helpful, team at the Thai restaurant are fantastic. After one visit the remember your preferences, very friendly and the food is delicious. Buffet is fantastic, lots of options for everyone and changes daily. Jasim was our waiter each morning, so friendly and helpful. Knew our coffee and seat preference. Excursions ‘Best Dive Maldives’ are wonderful, they do their best to ensure you see what you are meant to, very experienced in the water. Great safety for those not as comfortable with jumping into the ocean. The resort has lots to do, snorkelling straight from your bungalow verandah is awesome. So so many different species of fish, reef sharks and if you are lucky turtles. We were very disappointed to be leaving and are already planning our next visit. One tip ~ book into restaurants as soon as you arrive. It is done through an app the team will enable.

A truly amazing experience from start to finish. This is the second time we have visited this resort and somehow they managed to exceed our perfect experience of last time. It started with a unbelievable welcome off the seaplane. Nalin the Resort Manager and many of the team were there on jetty to give us a fantastic welcome back. Chanapha was a real star securing our preferred Sunset Water Villa (89) for the 12 night holiday. She then went above and beyond booking us in to restaurants for the first days and ensuring my wife’s birthday was celebrated without us asking for anything. The customer service levels were off the scale at every interaction on the island, everyone greeted us by our names with a smile and welcome back, wow that is impressive. The island is still just as beautiful as before, loads of wildlife and beautiful vegetation. Walking around each day you are met with fruit bats, birds and lizards. When on your decking looking out at the ocean again you greeted with a huge selection of tropical fish, turtles, dolphins, nurse and black fin sharks, manta rays and moray eels. We also shared the decking each day with George the heron who is also watching the tropical fish for a different reasons. We mainly visited the Thai and Italian restaurants each day and they both have very comprehensive menus and the food was excellent. The Thai was perfect for me who loves spicy food and they adapt that to your wish. Chanapha also booked us in to the Teppanyaki restaurant with Sharath cooking up a wonderful 5 course menu with you seated at the hot plate. A great evening and lots of excellent cooking tips thrown in. Shervin was always on hand asking for feedback on bars and restaurant experience to ensure standards are set high. They offer a excellent selection of drinks and the team of Kumar, Dana, Roshan and Anil ensure your glass is always topped up with your favourite tipple, brilliant customer service. Samsul ensured our room was always immaculately clean throughout the stay, he also went above and beyond with bedroom decorations on returning from dinner every night. There are many beautiful islands and resorts in the Maldives but for sure they would be hard to surpass the absolute stella level of personal customer service that Nalin and hugely dedicated team can offer.

We had a wonderful time. The crystal clear sea and clean rooms were amazing. Also, all the resort staff were very kind, friendly, and made me feel happy. Rooms are cleaned every day during the day and at night. Amanulla was in charge of our room and every day he made cute animal art by towels. It was so cute. We stayed for 4 nights, and there were plenty of restaurants and bars so we had plenty of fun without getting bored. This resort is recommended for both families and couples.

Room service is very good. The terrace is nice and the swimming pool is beautiful above the sea. The bathroom is big with a lot of mirrors. The cleaning is done twice per day. Amanulla cleans the room perfectly and makes a nice snake from the towels

This place is magic! The island is superb. The service is warm, friendly and professional. The accommodation is delightful. We stayed five nights in a beach villa and absolutely loved it. It was well appointed and comfortable. Perfect to be able walk straight into the beach and down to the warm glorious sea. Our next five nights were in a water villa. We were blown away with its views, its layout, its size, its design and decor. Being able to watch the fish from our deck, and with our steps straight into the water we could easily snorkel amongst them - it was amazing. The food was excellent in all the restaurants. Breakfast at The Club made a quiet and comfortable start to each day. Mitchel looked after us so well and Rishard was superbly professional and unfailingly, thoughtful, kind and helpful in so many, many ways throughout our stay. In Mare Azzurro, Ashik gave us brilliant service. His leadership is superb. His team are alert and efficient, always attentive, and with a smile. Anil and Rox are also a credit to the organisation. Thanks to them for being so lovely. Jambe looked after our villa superbly. His art work was a joy! In the Reef restaurant Habib really stood out for us. He was brilliant. The management team led by Nalim does a fabulous job. Their care for guests is exemplary and their support and leadership of the staff reflects a professional culture of the highest standards but one that is committed to supporting , acknowledging and growing the whole staff. Yuva and Inaz went the extra mile and succeeded in exceeding our expectations. A big thanks too to the reception team, notably Farouk. We had the most amazing stay with you. We shall be back! Our only hope is that on our return we might find that some of background music in the restaurants is slightly less intrusive! Thank you to everyone for a fabulous stay.

Well, this is the 13th trip to this special resort. There had been lots of changes during the last 1-2 years, but for today I have to say: The improved a lot compare to our last trip in Oct24. The management, especially Yuva & Nalim, helped a lot with our super-last-minute booking - thanks! The new restaurant-chefs are doing a good job. The Italian Restaurant under Guiseppe improved a lot! The corals are getting better and better year by year and the amount of different fishes and rays is still great. P.S.: of course we are still missing our Senthil... luckily May and Irfan are still around. Unfortunately, Senthil-chef (tall Senthil) and Huthu are on vacation.

So excited about our stay and it did certainly NOT disappoint. The staff were absolutely outstanding. Everyone was so friendly and so happy to help or accommodate our needs. The snorkelling was out of this world, the fish and reef spectacular!!! We did not eat a bad meal, The Club facilities were fabulous. The restaurants and chefs incredible. Already planning our return trip and would not stay anywhere else. Certainly everything we wanted and more
