This was by far our best holiday ever! An adults only island which is beautiful, it feels like your own slice of paradise. We stayed in a beach villa with a pool right on the beach, our room was super clean and serviced twice a day, and the bar fridge was stocked daily. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. When you arrive, you are assigned a host for the duration of your stay. We had the please to meet and be assisted by MECHELLE. She was very efficient, friendly, accommodating and was available to us anytime to answer questions, make bookings for excursions, massages, restaurants etc. she would regularly check up on us to make sure we were happy and to see if there was anything we needed, her level of service was exceptional. The food was five star and exceeded our expectations. Overall this was a fantastic trip to a beautiful island, our stay was nice and quiet and very relaxing and we will definitely return

Celebrated our silver wedding anniversary on this beautiful island in February. What makes this place is the staff - Always smiling and so attentive . Special mention to our waitress Haidee whose customer service skills were amazing. Keep on smiling Haidee. Lots of other staff to mention too but the list is too long. Overall our stay was incredible , Sun nest villa was beautiful with pretty much our own private beach. If there was an improvement to made it would be the wine choices . Wine was not at a 5 star level with limited choice . There should be the option to be able to upgrade your wine like they do with the spirits . We also felt that the bar had no atmosphere and a lot could be done to make it a destination bar. Quality of food was superb and changed every day. Thank you to all the staff who bent over backwards to make your stay memorable .

This resort was amazing in every aspect! A beautiful island. We booked through British Airways and stayed for 9 nights. The speedboat transfer from the airport was smooth and we were given an island tour by golf buggy on arrival! The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We had a designated 'island hostess' (thank you for taking care of us Akerke). Akerke was contactable via Whatsapp throughout our stay and we could book everything we needed either with Akerka or through the resort app. The benefits we received for our honeymoon made the experience really special. The food was extensive and delicious at all 3 restaurants, as were the drinks. The underwater restaurant was a fantastic experience (thank you to our server Pinki). The all-inclusive (Lobi plan) was brilliant, with not just food and drinks included, but also a lovely sunset cruise, an amazing snorkelling trip, and a 45-minute treatment at the spa. The spa was a lovely treat (thank you for the wonderful massage Diska). Lifejackets, snorkelling equipment and kayak hire were also included. We booked one paid excursion which was snorkelling with nurse sharks which was an extraordinary experience we will never forget! The over water villa was beautiful and spotless (cleaned twice daily) and had everything we needed including luxury toiletries. It had a semi-outdoor bathroom and a window in the floor to the sea below! We enjoyed swimming and snorkelling straight from the ladder down to the clear sea from our decking area. We also spent time by the shared infinity pool and bar and relaxing and reading on the immaculate beach. We cannot recommend OBLU SELECT Lobigili enough - it was paradise. Thank you so much to all the conscientious staff for a truly wonderful stay.

Fantastic place , service amazing and good great. Water villa and ocean were beautiful. Whole place Spotless clean. Maybe could do with another evening bar but all in all i would definitely recommend. Lisa the hostess was excellent and attentive. The reception less concept was really good.

I have not read all the 5 star reviews but having experienced 6 nights here I can honestly say I can guess what they say. This is paradise. We stayed in a nest on the sea with a pool. That was magnificent. We did have a peak at the land properties too and I would book one on my next visit having done the nest thing. The food was excellent and the beer nice and cold, and plentiful. For me though, an excellent holiday is about the staff and service. You can be in the best place in the world but if the staff are not happy that reflects on the quality of the holiday. I can honestly say that every interaction with the staff was a pleasure. Everyone welcomed you with a genuine smile and their actions showed that they really cared. I wish I had a detailed list of the staff names who were excellent as there were many. But special mention to our host Akerke. She was very caring and brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble. Kim, our room attendant was brilliant too. Our room was always spotless and nothing was too much trouble. The staff at the restaurants were equally fantastic but special mention to Haydie and Ivy who were very caring, attentive, fun, and interested in our experiences. Thank you to everyone who made our stay memorable whether directly or behind the scenes. We would love to come back.

We were very impressed with OBLU Select Lobigili or ‘Island of Love’ from the moment we arrived. Our Beach Villa (115) was exceptionally nice, with its own dip pool and just steps away from a lovely beach. The food was of a very high standard and was a mix of a la carte and buffet style which was always beautifully presented. The staff were a real pleasure - always smiling and attentive, with particular thanks to Rinki, Natalie, Merina, Rachelle, Jenny and Teju for making our stay so memorable.

Amazing venue. Just a short boat ride from Malé airport. Excellent accommodation and great service particularly from our dedicated island host - Mechelle - who looked after us so well and anticipated our requirements brilliantly! Water Villa living is something we could easily get used to!

Exactly two years ago, after visiting Oblu Select Lobigili, we dreamed of repeating this beautiful adventure and returning to this wonderful island of love. We did it! After our last experience we thought that it couldn't be better and that nothing would surprise us. However, after arriving at the airport we felt incredibly taken care of and welcomed in a surprising way with thanks for choosing the resort again. After arriving at Lobigili we were greeted by Mechelle, who once again became our host (the best Island Host). Once again we felt at home. This time we had the opportunity to spend our vacation in a nest water villa on the eastern side of the island, which was a great choice because we are lovers of sunrises, which we could admire on the terrace. Just like during our previous stay, the service was at the highest level, everyone was nice and helpful and the food was fantastic. The biggest surprise during the stay was the birthday surprise for my wife, which Mechelle prepared together with her buddy Sam on the beach, which made this trip unforgettable.

The staff are the resorts greatest asset - just a quick mention to a few but you could seriously list them ALL ! Our host Ruchika was incredible - we didn’t have to think about anything! she did it all - all of the restaurant staff but Xee was a sweetheart, everyone at the Swing Bar and a really cool DJ getting the mood just right. If you want a paradise holiday then this really is the place

Just arrived back from a 8 night stay at this wonderful resort. It really was top quality In everyway, from the arrival (which is very unique) we was met by our lovely host Lisa who was just brilliant she was there night and day should we need her. We stayed in a Beach Villa which was so Stunning, they are all outstanding but the slightly better beach ones in our opinion are 114 to 119, so if at the Airport they attach a tag to your case with one of these numbers start smiling, just foot steps from your Patio Door is the most gorgeous beach with a great reef just off shore. The Food here is just lovely in the Ylang Ylang Restaurant and for every 4 nights you stay you get a table at the Underwater Restaurant which is a truly once in a lifetime experience, the amount of fish and sharks you see is incredible, night time is slightly better than the day. But above all was the excellent service by all the Staff all over the Resort. They truly are the greatest Staff we have ever been fortunate enough to encounter on our travels. They are all so lovely and attentive and they all love there jobs which makes them very passionate and that is very rare at Resorts these days. One member of staff really stood out for us, Nabeel in our opinion will go far up the ladder within this chain, at 21yrs of age he was just way beyond he’s years. To the management of Lobigili look after this young lad he really will go far. If you are looking to book this Resort you surely won’t regret it.. It’s just amazing. As a difficult customer I would barely write reviews after a positive experience. But this place, Oblu Select Lobigili, deserves a detailed review since me and my wife spent an incredible week here in the paradise for our honeymoon. From the very first moment with this place, speedboat transfer from Male Airport, up until the last minute, the entire staff have been extremely helpful to us. Whenever we needed something, everybody did their best to deliver it as soonest as possible. Special thanks to Rinki, our island hostess during the entire week, who has been always there to help us when we had questions. She knows what she is doing very well. Special thanks to Teju, Sapna, Novita, Svetlana and Haidi on the main restaurant side (ylang ylang) who always assisted us with a cheerful and smiling faces and with positive attitudes. Restaurant performances need to be mentioned separately. All types, from a la carte (such as Only Blue) to buffet type (main restaurant ylang ylang) always made sure we had meals we would enjoy from different cuisines in the world. Special thanks to all the chefs. Yes the sea is amazing in this island, we enjoyed every second we were in the sea. However, this holiday wasn’t only about the sea, but also all the island activities made our overall experience an unforgettable one. From sunset cruise to the spa, we enjoyed all the activities we participated. Thanks Oblu Select Lobigili for an amazing honeymoon for me and my wife, this has truly been a once in a lifetime experience, and the best beach holiday on my personal end.

The variety of meals every day is really wonderful and delicious. The accommodation experience is also great. Thank you very much for the help of the housekeeper Ruchika. Let us stay in the beautiful sea pool room for four nights. I am really moved because the sea pool room has beautiful scenery and a swimming pool to play in the water. I really love it❤️This honeymoon trip is free of honeymoon decoration and rose bubble bath, which is very romantic. I really like everything here. Thank you very much for the help of all the waiters in the resort. I also want to thank Ruchika who received us❤️ the DOSA waiter in charge of breakfast, who specially found photos for us to show~ DOSA is really delicious☺️, and the supervisor who let us refill two bowls of chicken soup during the candlelight dinner. An absolutely amazing resort! We're celebrating our 30th year wedding anniversary and wanted something a bit more special and Lobigili did not disappoint in any way. After an 11 hour flight we were ready to enjoy some luxury! A 20 minute speedboat transfer and we were greeted at the jetty by a welcoming party and our host/butler for the duration of stay, Esther. Esther gave us all the info we needed and had already planned out various activities and table reservations for us. In fact, Esther could not do enough for us and, I'm sure, she went 'above and beyond' to make our stay even more memorable. The island is compact but has everything you need. A great bar and pool area, fantastic restaurants with a fabulous choice of wine and food. The beaches are superb with crystal clear water and great snorkeling. Our over-water villa was absolutely fantastic with direct access to the sea. Perfect for an early morning dip. Every member staff was just perfect in every way and an absolute credit to the resort. Attentive and efficient without being over fussy, but above all else, always smiling and making us feel welcome. This is a truly magical place and I cannot rate the resort highly enough. We Will Be Back!

Relaxing and clean adult-only resort with very nice food, a fabulous underwater restaurant and generally excellent service. Very scenic too. There are a couple of fairly minor points we made on our departure review: 1. The demographic was primarily over 40’s (maybe even 50’s) couples although there were several younger honeymoon couples - the issue was that the music played by the DJ near the swing bar, especially at sunset was more suitable for an Ibiza nightclub (constant thumping beat) than an ultra-cool adult only resort. It really needed cool lounge music. Secondly, our room was a sun-nest sunset water pool villa which was excellent apart from the horrible pink 6ft mirror on the outside deck. This partially obscured the sunset view and the pink paintwork was peeling off in every villa making the place look tatty (which it isn’t! ) They should be removed IMHO. The staff and management were quite young and disagreed with me about the music but we spoke to several guests who felt the same as us. I do hope they take note! Anyway, it didn’t really spoil things and we did in fact have a lovely relaxing time overall. The boat ride to and from the airport was exhilarating and ran on time. The underwater restaurant Only BLU was a fantastic experience and is highly recommended. Note that Only BLU is shared.with he adjoining (via a long bridge) resort which is not adult only so when we went to Only Blu for lunch there were quite a few excited children there too which did get noisy at times. On the other hand there were no children on the two occasions we dined there in the evening. The Ylang restaurant food and service was also very nice.

Although we have been visiting the Maldives for 10 years, this was only our second visit to Oblu Select Lobigili - our main reason for choosing it initially is because it is genuinely adults-only, but we would not have returned unless it had so much to offer. First of all, the staff are what really make this a first class resort. They are all absolutely delightful, professional and really make you feel welcomed and looked after. There are far too many who made us feel special to be able to name them all individually, but in particular we must mention Lisa, our Island hostess this year and last (ably covered on her days off by Mechelle) who really went the extra mile to make sure all our requests were catered for. In the Ylang Ylang restaurant, we fell in love with all the staff (who also rotate in Gaardia restaurant) - they manage to combine a really professional service with an ability to chat and share their delightful sense of humour with the guests. They are a lovely group of people and a real credit to Sumeda, the excellent restaurant manager. The chefs create a wonderful changing spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and the effort put in for Valentine's day was truly amazing. Special thanks to Sachin for his wonderful breakfast dhosas! At the Swing Bar the staff very quickly recognised our routine for beer- and gin-o'clock and more often than not produced the required drinks almost as we were arriving! And on the subject of drinks, the mini bars in the villas are restocked every morning with soft drinks, wine and beers, along with bottles of fresh water and snacks. Our pool villa was perfectly situated, and although the view of the sea is obscured by the very tall bushes in front of the villas (apparently they are not cut back substantially because many guests like the privacy they give) the beach/pool attendants very kindly pulled our sunbeds and umbrella out on to the beach every day so we could enjoy that wonderful Maldivian sea view. They also rake the beach every day and scoop up shells and coral so it is pristine (although inevitably there are some remaining bits left at the edge of the sea which can be uncomfortable to walk over, so we would recommend taking some surf shoes if you plan to swim in the sea). We had a wonderful, restful holiday and would like to thank absolutely everyone at Oblu Select Lobigili - they are the ones who make it happen!

We have just returned from Lobigili island on the 20th Feb 2025. What an amazing experience we have had . We stayed in one of the Sun Nest Water Villas which was incredible. Food, beverages & activities were all of an exceptional quality. We have to mention our lovely host Esther, who looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. She made us feel extra special and it all added to our wonderful experience. We would highly recommend the island to our friends and family. Unforgettable holiday .

Oblu Select Lobigili is an adults only resort and is the sister resort to Oblu Select Sangeli, which is for families. Lobigili is close to the main island and can be reached by speed boat. From the moment you arrive, the Oblu makes you feel special. We stayed in the over water villa. They are small, but well equipped. There is an outdoor washroom which is lovely and roomy. From the deck we saw a manta ray and fish galore. There are 2 loungers, however only one chair, which makes it difficult to sit outside and have a morning coffee with your spouse. But, to Oblu's credit, we asked for an extra chair and within the hour, they had it delivered. Everyone there is very responsive to any requests. Upon arrival, we did have some issues with our room. The air conditioner wasn't working, one of the bathroom lights and deck lights weren't working. As soon as we reported it to the villa host, an engineer attended our room and fixed the AC and then later worked on the lights. The beach is beautiful, but the loungers on the beach are uncomfortable. But don't let that deter you. Just put a towel in the right place and you can lay there all day. The food is over the top. Every meal is fantastic!! And make sure you attend the spa. It was by far, one of the best massages I have ever had. The villa host is available to you 24 hours / day. We arranged for a private Big Game Fishing expedition at 6am. We did this through Oblu. They contract out a private company for this excursion. Our Villa host gave us a wake up call at 5am and then picked us up to drive us to the meeting point. Sadly the excursion was a disaster. The crew was late and they did not arrive in a bonafide fishing boat, but saying that the boat was equipped for fishing. The crew was somewhat knowledgeable in deep sea fishing but that's where it ended. The person driving the boat was driving so fast in rough water the bow was riding up so high and smashing down so hard, we were bounced off our seats so many times, I lost count. And when we finally reached our destination, it was beside the dump and construction site! I am not exaggerating. The smell was at times was so bad, I couldn't take it. We were in the Maldives, a place with some of the most pristine water in the world and the captain of the boat takes us to the dump to fish! I couldn't believe it. We also requested to troll which we did and then later changed to jigging because we weren't getting so much as a nibble. When we changed to jigging, that's when we found out there was no live bait! And there was no bucket storage or fish box, so there was no where to put the catch. The whole excursion was a really bad joke. The Oblu provides a complimentary sunset fishing tour and that was leaps and bounds better than what we signed up for. The Maldives is expensive, but the Oblu offers the best value for your money. The service is exceptional, the food is terrific and the staff is very attentive. It is a mid size resort that is not over the top like some other resorts, but that's what makes it personal and special.

We have just returned home from a wonderful holiday at Lobigili. We loved every moment. It really is 'Paradise'. We can't recommend it more. We loved it!!! It really is 5 star! +++ Every person who works there is lovely and happy, which is so pleasing. On arrival we were greeted in a fabulous unforgettable way, it was so special. I won't say what happens as it would spoil the surprise for others, but it was so memorable. Once we arrived we met with Rinki who was our resort hostess and my oh my did she do a wonderful job. She is so professional at the same time being adorable. There was nothing we asked of her, where she didn't help us. She has one day off a week and Patrice then took care of us in the same professional but kindly way. We had a beach villa which is divine and had everything we would need; with a splash pool leading onto a beach to die for. The sea was like a bath. Just perfection. We took our own snorkels and coral shoes which were ideal. The toiletries are from the 'White Company'! The lady who cleaned our room was Astrid and again she did this effortlessly but thoroughly, just perfect! The bar serves every drink you could wish for and again all the staff there are lovely, Andy, Sonam, Sara, sorry not to remember everyone's names but they were all brilliant. The Ylang-ylang restaurant is managed by Mo - we loved her - she is again so professional but gentle at the same time. All the Chefs, ( the head chef has the best smile ever), Waitresses make it a wonderful place to eat. Sadly we don't remember everyone's name, but we must mention Jennie, she was adorable. If you want something that isn't on the menu they will get it for you or arrange it for your next visit. We enjoyed the best Sushi ever. We used the Spa, again it was absolute spoiling at its best! Everyone was so welcoming and pleasing. We must praise the work of the people who clean and tidy the beach, and to the ground maintenance persons, they work so hard its never untidy, again just perfect. As we left; the love we felt from the people who saw of us all off (there were four of us leaving) all four of us, had tears. Never have I felt so welcome or so loved. We will be returning to Lobigili as we absolutely loved our holiday. CB we met on the way over to the island from Velana airport - he is a nice guy too - came over as a relaxed guy but oh my what an establishment to run. Lobigili really is 'Heaven on Earth'.

The villas were the same. Where do i start. This place is Paradise. The accommodation, the staff, the food, the location, infact everything was just perfect. The staff are amazing and too many to mention but our hostess was superb Akerke. Very good at arranging everything we desired. In the Ylang Ylang restaurant well too many staff to mention but special thanks to Sumeda who was amazing and ever so welcoming. Sachin on the Indian counter who was so warm and friendly making us our favorite Indian breakfasts and extras too. Special thanks to Citra, Dechan , and Sapna who always made us so welcome and attended to our every needs. There are too many to mention by name but they were all friendly and helpful always welcoming you with a smile. If you are looking at staying here look no further, you will not be disappointed. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at OBLU and it was perfect. From the moment we arrived to our last evening there the staff made absolutely every attempt to make it a magical vacation. Our hostess Ruchika deserves an enormous recognition. She absolutely knows how to make anyone feel in paradise. She was so personable yet extremely efficient nothing was overlooked. The rest of the staff including everyone at the restaurants and bars were amazing. Shout out to Alpi, Rochelle, Teju and Maya! And we can’t forget Astrid who kept our room ready for rest every night. Then there was the food. Nothing we ate was not an amazing dish. We just wished we had more room in our bellies since there were so many choices for every meal. The chef definitely knows how to please any palate. And then of course the property was impecable. We were in awe of how environmentally friendly the resort is. The beaches and water were stunning. There’s enough to do throughout the day but if you only want to sun bathe and swim you won’t find a better place on earth to do so. My husband and I fell in love with snorkeling. The coral reef around the property offers enough surprises, we saw small sharks, puffer fish, all kinds of colorful creatures swimming around. We will remember the memories we made that week for a very long time.

My husband and I stayed for 1 week in March and had the most amazing and special honeymoon. We had a water villa with pool and everything about the hotel is perfect. Ruchika our guide could not do anything more for us and made the trip that extra bit special. Greeted at the dock with a rose and taken to the bar for check in was such a special start to our trip. We were advised to download an app to keep up to date with our itinerary and also seek out any other trips or times of restaurants etc. This was super helpful! We were driven around the resort and advised of where things were and then taken to our villa. The water villa with pool had everything you could wish for on your honeymoon. The outdoor shower and bath made it extra special. Kim the cleaner kept our room spotless and came twice a day to clean and extra special touches like slippers next to the bed and towels laid out for us. The room also included little extra which help with bringing less luggage with you. From white company toiletries to sunscreen to sun hats and towels. The food was incredible and the waiters and cooks went above and beyond to ensure you were looked after. The cakes and pastries for me were the highlight. So fresh and tasted delicious. Andi the bar man in the swing bar was super friendly and made our stay fabulous with the amazing cocktails we had. From the staff mentioned, to the multiple members of staff who were cleaning the beaches at 5am everyone was friendly and attentive. Making small talk and always remembering your names. If you are wanting a trip where you are taken care of for a week in a dream destination then this is the hotel for you.

This was our second time after visiting with our daughters last year. As ever it was seamless from getting off the plane to being greeted on the island. This time we opted for a beach pool room and we were so glad we did. The beach rooms are so much better than the over water rooms. You get the sunset, a pool, closer to the restaurant, your own semi private beach, crabs, birds and a more sheltered bathroom when the weather changes. We didn’t bother with the main pool area too much due to the sun beds being reserved by the usual English people that see the need to do so at sunrise. Once they went home it improved but we had settled into the private beach routine. As ever the staff are great. Sumeda is so professional and efficient and runs a great restaurant. Along with Elin, Genie and Lana it was a great place to eat. Rooms kept clean by Natalie and Hazel. The weather was quite wet for the first few days and the locals tell us that the weather is becoming more unpredictable. January not great, February better but mixed, March much better. As usual we didn’t want to leave. Top tips - watch the sunset from your beach to see the fruit bats flying in and the crabs everywhere coming out, plus a drink or 10.

From start to finish our holiday here was excellent. We were picked up by speedboat and off to the resort within about 20 minutes of getting off the flight. Arriving here was fab although I won’t ruin it for anyone else. We met our island hostess Maryem who made sure we had everything we needed, organised activities for us, picked us up in the buggy when we needed a lift and kept us up to date with what was happening in the island. She was very professional, friendly and efficient. She even got lotion from the health centre when my husband got some sun burn, leaving it in the villa for us. Our water villa was fantastic, beautiful view, good snorkelling around it and cleaned daily. The food here was amazing - tasty, fresh and fabulous choices, with daily menu changes at the main restaurant. The food truck was fab, and the underwater restaurant with the array of fish and sharks swimming past was amazing. Good bar and the staff make some amazing cocktails. The island itself is small but beautiful. What makes this resort however is the staff, they were friendly warm and helpful. Didn’t get all the staff names but Andi and maya were fab on the bar, Dechem, Elin, Haydie and Wintri in the restaurant were amazing, our room was cleaned daily by Natalie who did a great job and was so friendly. The excursions out on the boats and seeing the sea life - sharks, rays, fish, dolphins, - was great. And special thanks thanks to Maryem and Mega. We had an amazing time and will return ❤️

Saachi made us various delicious Indian breakfast each morning, as we love dosa this was a real treat ( the cheese dosa was sublime) All the restaurant staff are super friendly and look after you with ease. I need to give a shout out to Sapna with her lovely welcome and great wit Haydee,Rada,Rachelle, Jenny, Merena and Elen all so helpful, friendly and efficient. We have never stayed anywhere quite like this. We chose this superb resort to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. He was made to feel very special. Adults only worked well for this holiday. We had an over water villa with pool. No complaints at all. Loved the glass floor to watch the marine life. Outside bathroom was a lovely feature. The room was well presented and kept clean by a fantastic team. Beach bag, hats, flip flops and slippers provided. White company products in the bathroom. Maryem was our host, who made a real difference to our holiday. A quick WhatsApp and restaurants and trips were all booked for us. Ylang ylang restaurant offered everything you need for a holiday. Every member of staff made your mealtime special. Rachele and Haidie went above and beyond. In addition they had Gaadiya and Blu restaurants which were included in their Lobi plan. Gaadiya was on the beach and served quality food. Merina and her team made those evenings perfect. Blu was an underwater restaurant. Setting great and food presented well. Not a good choice of menu for us but watching the sharks pass by the window made up for the food options. Swing bar by the pool was great. Maya kept us topped up with any kind of drink you required. Snacks served in the afternoon too. Included snorkel and fishing trips were great too. Massage also included in their Lobi plan. The resort manager had a great onsite presence, keeping an eye on a fantastic resort. Few places deserve a perfect review, but for us this resort has it.

From the moment we came into the airport at Male, we were met by an island representative who guided us to a boat, and then a short ride away to the island. At the island we were greeted by a team of hostesses and a saxophone player, and introduced to our hostess, Lisa, who looked after us for our stay (and was available 24/7), always with a smile. All of the staff on the island were incredible-helpful and happy. The room was delightful, we had an over water pool villa, which was well appointed and had an incredible sunset view (even though the weather wasn’t perfect all the time, sea outside was always crystal clear and full of fish, with the occasional shark, squid and turtle). Everything on the island was a short walk away, which we enjoyed, but the hostesses were happy to drive us around in buggies on request, such as when we crossed to Ailafushi on a particularly hot day). The food….just outstanding. All of it. The main restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating by the beach, as well as another air conditioned room which was my preference, and the staff here were also perfect, remembering our drinks orders and names after the first time. The cocktail menu was relatively small, but everything off menu we asked for was served up with no fuss….even the island band (Lobi Duo) nailed a saxophone/piano rendition of a song we requested, straight away and not having heard of it before! I was particularly impressed how well the resort balanced its beautiful scenery and kept everything open, but still retained an immense sense of intimacy and privacy. Ev though the island was at/near capacity, it always felt quiet, almost deserted, we had each beach to ourselves 95% of the time, and there were always seats, deckchairs, hammocks, tables etc available, and usually the ones we wanted. Similarly, all of the staff gave perfect levels of attentiveness-knowing when to appear/help, but also leaving us to enjoy our stay when we didn’t need anything. When it was time to leave, the communications and service were fantastic, and we were waved off with more music and the hostess team, and once back in Male, the island representative took us right up to the departures desk. Really cannot fault anything. I was asked to leave a review, but haven’t received anything in return and wasn’t pushed to write anything positive or specific, and it would have been written like this anyway!

Just back from a fantastic and luxurious holiday at the OBLU Select Lobigili. We cannot praise and compliment the resort and staff enough. From the moment the speedboat picked us up to the moment it dropped us off at the end of our holiday, everything was amazing. The food was of fabulous and catered for all tastes. The snorkelling was sensational with a mass of various marine life including stingrays, reef sharks and fish. This was a holiday of a lifetime and we cannot recommend the resort enough. We will almost certainly never have a better holiday than this one…..

A wonderful 5-star resort with 5-star accommodation, food and service. So many people to say thank you too including the gardeners, maintenance, cleaners, security, hosts, bar staff, chefs, waitresses and gym staff - they all made our stay special. Particular thanks to Saai (our host), chef Sachin (amazing dosa), Sapna in the main restaurant with her amazing smile and the ‘big guy’ managing the gym who always made me feel welcome and was hand for any help if required. Sorry, but I can’t remember his name. Feedback should be honest and constructive, as such I’d also like to mention a few things that could be improved for the benefit of future guests: 1. Mirror - there is a huge ‘tacky’ 5ft pink/purple mirror on the balconies of all water villas (see picture). It serves no purpose other than to spoil what is a beautiful view of the Indian Ocean. Next to the mirror is one chair, which again has no purpose and you can only stay here if you’re a couple. The mirror can’t be moved because it’s screwed into the bannister. Why? 2. Towels on pool sunbeds - please remove the towels that people leave on sunbeds to reserve them and then disappear for hours snorkelling etc. This is unfair on other guests and needs to be ‘policed’ better by hotel staff. What adds to the frustration is the lack of sunbeds too. There’s only about 20 for a resort that has upto 100+ guests. The pool area is disproportionately small for the size of the resort in my opinion. 3. A couple of times we arrived for dinner quite late e.g. 9.30pm. After serving us our main meal staff immediately said ‘do you want anything else as we shut at 10pm’. This made us feel rushed and wasn’t very relaxing - we’re on holiday remember… 4. Coffee - 3-star coffee in a 5-star resort. Needs improving. Coffee machines are inadequate and staff need better training on making and pouring good coffee. We stayed at the amazing Oblu Select Lobigili for our honeymoon in December 2024. From the moment we stepped off the speed boat, we entered a world of luxury. We were warmly welcomed by our beautiful butler Rinki, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We loved the "no reception" concept and found it super easy to communicate with Rinki through WhatsApp during our stay. It was also a bonus that this resort was adults only, exactly what we were after for our honeymoon! We stayed in the overwater villa and the room was out of this world!. From the bar snacks and beverages, to the underwater window, the beautiful bathroom, and private pool, everything was amazing! As we were on the honeymoon package we had a turn down service, sunset cruise, snorkelling trip, honey moon dinner, foodtruck dinner at Gaadiya 17 and underwater dinner at the Only Blu Restaurant, and all of these inclusions were absolutely fantastic! Especially in relation to the food, we were blown away with how delicious everything was! The buffet breakfasts and lunches were some of the best we have ever had! I am also a Vegetarian and my husband is Fructose Intolerant, and the Head Chef went above and beyond to ensure our dietaries were catered for, which was such a nice touch to our trip! Special mention to Rada who we met with on numerous occasions during our dinning experiences - she always welcomed us with a big beautiful smile and bubbly personality! And of course, our stay would not have been so amazing if it wasn't for our butler Rinki! We are so lucky and grateful we got to know her during our stay, she was truly wonderful! We can't wait to visit again soon xx

This was the best holiday experience and truly 5 star holiday we have had. Our hostess Lisa could not do enough to ensure we had everything we needed and more!! We were there for a wedding anniversary and the room decoration was so beautiful from housekeeper Natalie and the housekeeping and in room bar service was fantastic. The water villa was incredible... and snorkelling from the villa so easy with crystal clear sea and stunning views from our deck. The house reef trip was excellent as well as the additional turtle and sandbank trip we booked. We saw turtles and sharks both snorkelling at the villa and on the house reef and so many stunning fish in close proximity. The restaurant ylang ylang with combination of a la carte and buffet menus was truly magnificent. Food the best we have ever experienced anywhere! The chefs and shout out to the curry chefs especially, were incredible. Who would have thought curry for breakfast is a thing!! The spa included treatments were fantastic. Very beneficial and with massages tailoured to health needs. Only Blu unferwater restaurant was magical experience. Well worth seeing lunch time and evening for the different fish and sharks amd marine life that can be seen This was a bucket list and once in a lifetime holiday. We could not find one thing we would have changed... truly five star!! Well done Oblu Lobigili !!

We arrived here after a week at Finolhu now our favourite island from the six we have stayed . The positives on this island is its adults only and the food is really nice .We attended a complementary cooking class and were the only couple who turned up and had a fab time learning how to cook Sri Lankan fish curry, the chef was amazing Suresh and printed off recipe the next day for us as it was delicious..Thank you . It has the biggest underwater restaurant in the maldives, the outside tables are much better so if none available ask to move later when people leave if you are later sitting like we did as the sharks go round that side. We had a beach villa with pool that although smaller than we are used to had incredible snorkelling in front of your villa . We were villa 115 ( which I asked to move from 108) which from 114 upwards was much better beach . The little Maldivian birds a the beach villas are super cute and I was hand feeding a little family which was a lovely start to the day . We visited Allifushi the sister 4 star island it was like a scene from the show Benidorm not our vibe but each to their own? The staff are super sweet Ruchika our butler did her best to change our room the next day which we appreciated. Andi the barman and entertainer was great. We booked the two hour sand bank tour with a guide which was fantastic sadly didn’t see any dolphins this time but the sand bank is beautiful well worth the money. To sum up Lobigili it’s a small rustic island with nice food and drinks ,lovely staff and great snorkelling.

First off its a nice resort with mostly friendly staff and very conveniently located approx 15 mins by speedboat from Male. It ticks all the boxes for what you need in a resort however it lacks the magic that other resorts in the Maldives has. The positives are many and if your looking to get the lobi plan then recommend you do so, yes all meals are in one restaurant but they give you a meal in two other restaurants as well for people for book 4 nights or more. The resort is clean and very well kept and has activities which can keep you busy. The main reason for my average rating is the rooms, the villa is quite small compared to other resorts in the Maldives and the beach is full or coral reefs and rocks. They should really focus on cleaning the area and maybe even reclaiming more land to increase the width of the beach. Also the rooms feel very close to each other and the outdoor pool is pretty small. The bathroom (which is basically open air) is very nice and has nice amenities. Room service menu is limited so don’t expect a vast variety. Depending on your budget, you can pay more and get better resorts however this hotel can be considered as an entry level 5star hotel in my view. We enjoyed our time there and the staff were wonderful but don’t think we will come back again not for any particular reason rather than it does not have that magical or personal 5 start Maldivian feel.

Third time back in two and a half years!!! Says it all really!! Well maybe, but it does not do justice to this exquisite island and incomparable staff!! Beautiful accommodation with water villas giving immediate access to the water with a private deck and all the facilities you would want. Restaurants with a truly exquisite and sensational variety of food and drinks and capped off with caring, attentive and unfailingly polite and friendly staff. When meal times are routinely punctuated with laughter following wait staff around as they happily chat away with guests you know you are onto a good thing! Rachelle, Jenny, Dechen, Haydie, Citra to name but a few - amazing ladies all. The undersea restaurant is nothing short of incredible!! To sit inches away from exquisite marine life that is constantly changing whilst having incredible food and refreshments is, quite honestly, an enormous privilege. What an experience and it is still as remarkable for our third year. Lisa, our hostess for the third year in a row, is incomparable. Nothing is too much trouble and she always checked how we were through the day and just made sure everything was perfect. We always had a laugh and nattered away when we saw her. We were given a wonderful arrival greeting as returning guests, with Lisa and a colleague in special costume, very touching. Special room decoration and a decorated restaurant table greeted us as well! The Swing Bar and pool are amazing and looking west so sunsets are sublime! We snorkelled nearly every day from our villa and whilst it is a small local little reef we saw plenty of beautiful sea life again; turtles (twice!), three octopus, a moray eel and countless beautiful fishes. My photo album is creaking with sea life photos!! The trip out to the nearby house reef is great with incredible water clarity and fabulous sea life. The spa is truly wonderful with very skilled staff. We contacted the resort ahead of arrival to arrange a massage after our travel, nothing is too much trouble! I routinely fell asleep during our sessions! The island itself is immaculately cared for and there are water rails always around, a heron, and often an occasional fruit bat as evening falls. Peace, serenity, luxury and friendship… what more do you need for a truly relaxing break!

My wife and I booked Lobigili to celebrate a special wedding anniversary, as a once in a lifetime trip. Since we got back, we’re both trying to work out how to do it all again! The whole experience was very special, from the moment we left the airport to leaving on the same speedboat two weeks later. Our hostess Maryem arranged all our bookings, changed them when the weather changed, and even drove us to the doctor on the other island when we needed it. The Spa and the Restaurants were fabulous. We couldn’t name everyone as it would be inevitable that we’d miss a few, which would be unfair, they were all amazing. The variety of food was very impressive, and there was always a choice of things we wanted to eat, even including the occasional curry at breakfast time! Being able to go snorkelling straight from the beach outside our villa, seeing a huge variety of fish including rays and sharks, was unforgettable, and a real privilege. Hopefully we will be back soon!

Also not forgetting David (aka Becks). Our beach pool villa was lovely, very luxurious. We were very lucky to have our beach Vila on a piece of sandy beach with a lagoon. Many villas do not have sand outside, only Rocky bits. Also as only 15 minutes from Male, the sea is busy with boat taxis which made not very peaceful. Unfortunately we were caught up in the Heathrow cancellations We were at the airport for many hours & then transported to a very poor looking 4star resort. We were there for 2 days. We booked our own flight home as by this point we just wanted to get home. Thank you again Lobigilli for an amazing holiday.

This was a one off, big year of celebration for us and we really hit the jackpot. What a place! As the title suggests we had a jaw dropping experience. From the short speed boat trip to the island, which was very welcome after 19 hours of travel our experience of Lobigili could not have been bettered. Upon arrival at the island you are met by your island host, Rinki was world class. Nothing was too much trouble. From gorgeous personal touches on our special occasions during our stay to sourcing alternative footwear for me due to a packing malfunction, she is an absolute magician. Here Lisa, a fellow host, also deserves a big thankyou for saving the day, literally. All the hosts work so hard ensuring that guests are not only having the best time, using all the new experiences the Lobi Plan can offer. it is done seamlessly. I know how much hard work goes into making any operation such a well oiled machine, they should all be very proud of what they have achieved! The Nest Villa we stayed in was simply perfect. No other word adequately describes it. A swim (or six) in the ocean every day and your own deck not only to launch off but also to chill upon with a glass or 2 from the well stocked fridge. Natalia ensured our villa was always perfect, again adding her own personal and thoughtful touches. The water villas are privacy with a luxurious feel. Plus no bitey insects which was a major plus for me. The beaches are pristine and again a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to achieve this, Thankyou. Dining is a delight. The food is top notch, nothing could be improved, and if you do have any dietary needs, these are met with innovation which will also delight those who are used to less imaginative solutions at other all inclusive destinations. The team in Ylang are so lovely, nothing is too much trouble and special mentions go out to Sapna, Jenni, Haydie as the only names I can recall but mainly that was because I missed the others due to not wearing my glasses. All of them are a shining credit to their resort. The bar team are excellent, I have exhausted superlatives and I now have a new batch of favourite cocktails in my armoury. I fear I have gone on too long now and will sum it up simply by saying… place your trust in the team upon landing, release your inner control freak and go with the luxurious island flow ❤️ Thankyou all for an incredible experience. I don't know where to start if I'm honest. What an amazing island with first class staff. A special trip for us, but we'll definitely go back. The food was excellent and the staff ensure you want for nothing. We were hosted by Maryem who was lovely. We opted for a beach villa, which was excellent and spotless. With only 68 rooms it never felt busy at all, which was perfect for us. The under water restaurant Only Blu was a great experience. For two visits we'd recommend one lunch and one dinner visit. Only 20 minutes from Male it's not far at all by speedboat and so convenient. We'd thoroughly recommend Lobigili.

Having read so many five star reviews before we left our expectations were high. I was desperately hoping our experience would be the same - and it certainly was! From the moment you arrive at Male airport you are so warmly welcomed so the experience begins before you even arrive at the resort. As the lady at the airport said “your vacation starts now” and you are whisked onto a wonderful speedboat ride with attentive crew. We were at the resort within 45 minutes of landing. A big plus after a long journey. No waiting at reception on arrival. We were met by our warm and attentive hostess Ruchika who was available throughout our stay and met all our requests immediately. The overwater villa was stunning and we loved snorkelling from it and even watching sharks swimming around it from our decking. Every meal was like dining in a Michelin starred restaurant with the most stunning backdrop. The service at every restaurant was the best I have ever known with the most efficient and above all friendly staff. I will name check a few and am so sorry to those I have missed out - you were all exceptional. I must begin with my “bestie” Rachelle who treated my husband and myself like friends rather than guests. So warm and friendly and we looked forward to seeing her every day. We had so much fun with Rocksha, Alpi, Jenny, Svetlana, Wintery, Deju, Haydee and the whole team. I am coeliac and the chefs were amazing at adapting dishes for me so I didn’t feel I missed out on any of the meals. Also thanks to Imas our room attendant who kept the place spotless and had the biggest smile. I had tears in my eyes on the speedboat ride back, must have been the wind in my eyes!
