We talked to each other a lot and he made us very happy during our stay. I recommend you to talk to people who are working there. You feel connected to people there and feel treated more special. Overall hospitality was great. Everything was much better we expected. We recommend you to make a reservation for Jing restaurant before you arrive there. That restaurant is very unique. Not only dishes but also wine, atmosphere, and service is very sophisticated. You should experience it during your stay. We hope we can come back for our anniversary someday.

We chose to book here through recommendations for our honeymoon! From start to finish it was the most beautiful experience of our lives. The staff, the food, the spa, the gym just everything was out of this world. A huge thank you to Sandun at the Jing bar. He made our holiday even more special with how polite, friendly, professional he was! He couldn't of done enough for the guests and without a doubt made the most delicious cocktails. He had a huge smile on his face each time you entered the Jing bar which just makes you feel so welcomed. The food in all the restaurants where outstanding such a high standard of food brought out morning, lunch & dinner without fail. The staff went above and beyond to always make sure everything was just right for you. The water villas were kept immaculate such a lovely experience to be able to spend so much time in one of these and really take in the view around us. The house keeper for our room kept everything perfect even added a welcome & good bye arrangement to our bed which was extra special. We can't recommend this beautiful island enough the staff and the whole set up is a big ten out of ten without a doubt.. We have just returned from our second visit to Constance Halaveli and Constance Moofushi (a week in each) and had the most magical time yet again. Thanks go to Amelie for arranging for us to be in Water Villa 63 again. We love the location close to Jing (our favourite restaurant) So many thanks go to Bassam, our Room Boy, who kept our villa immaculate and left a wonderful message on our bed when we left. After the bad weather we experienced in Moofushi for 3 days, it was a relief that when we arrived at Halaveli, the sun was out and stayed out for the duration of our week. Also, grateful thanks go to Sam (F&B Manager), Anna in Jahaz, Rasheed in Jahaz, not forgetting the wonderful Jay (Pool Cleaning Man) and many more. We did a sunset cruise and found a pod of dolphins and the sunset was spectacular. Everything was perfect and we hope to be back again next year. The wild life is amazing and I could have stayed in our infinity pool overlooking the ocean and watching all the different fish swim past. Sharks, Rays, Pipe Fish and all the birds and bats too. Hopefully we will be back again next year. There is no stress and you are looked after amazingly by the team. I just love it there and was so sad to leave. Combining the two islands is fantastic, Moofushi being more laid back and Halaveli more formal but both are just beautiful with amazing staff. See you next year!!!!

What can I say 3rd visit to Halaveli and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve said before how amazing the island is but what makes it so wonderful is the staff. From the welcome on the pontoon to the goodbye on our last day the Halaveli team were the perfect hosts. This year we added a few extra fun items to our plan, wine tasting in the lagoon and beach sunrise yoga. Both were great but have to say wine tasting in the lagoon, with fun friends we had met at Halaveli the previous year, was the highlight . All I can say is thank god head Sommelier Shree knows us!! it was the best experience and would highly recommend. We loved the fact that Sameera who we had met on previous occasions had been promoted along with Max. It shows such brilliant leadership from resort manager Tangi to support and promote his team members from within. Thank you Sameera as ever you are our go to when at Halaveli and we totally appreciate you. The F&B team has such breadth of talented team members, Gasmin the best restaurant server you could ask for, attentive but not over the top and always knew what we needed. Punti the best hellos and welcomes every lunch time and Rasheed I love your calmness and chat around the restaurant. Chef Hameed you were amazing as usual and we loved the extra special dishes Bandara at the bar we don’t even say and you know what we want, thank you Our wonderful house keeper Iyauch, we apologise that we truly had a holiday bedroom , you always made it perfect though It’s hard to get across the family nature of Halaveli, I don’t mean lots of children I mean the staff and guests. We ended up recognising so many couples from previous years. I think that fact alone shows how fantastic Halaveli is, so many of us go back. We had the experience of a lifetime at Constance Halaveli! We stayed in an over water bungalow which was incredible. A few highlights and thoughts below: Bungalow/ housekeeping services: Nafiul was our housekeeper and he was AMAZING. He ensured our room stayed well-equipped and neat, and always immediately came in to take care of things when we left for breakfast in the mornings. He even left us with a beautiful surprise on our last day. Thank you, Naiful! Spa: we went for two couples massages at the spa. We were only supposed to go for one, but the experience was so great we went back again. We had Sonu and Illuh for our massage therapists and they were the best massages we’ve ever had. Juwita and Shanda at the front of the spa were amazing and helpful as well. Food/ restaurants: we loved the food and the restaurant manager is amazing- always checking in on us daily! The chefs are great as well- they make their rounds to ensure you are enjoying which really adds to the experience. One piece of advice is that the half-board covers both Jahaz (buffet) and the a la carte restaurants (Jing and Meeru). If you want to go to Jing and Meeru, we recommend making reservations before you arrive (as when we arrived they were already fully booked until the last few days of our trip). We got into each one once and they were amazing. Professional Photography: we booked professional photography (for our engagement) with Paolo from the dive center. He was so friendly and we had a great experience with him. The proofs look amazing and we can’t wait to get our edited pictures. This was truly the trip of a lifetime and I know I’m forgetting to thank some of the incredible staff. We hope to come back again in the future!

The beach villa we stayed in 17, it does feel like it needs a refurb, they feel older than the water villas. The beach outside our villa was lovely and so quiet it felt like being on your own island. The food was really good, our favourite was the Indian Buffet, we could of had that every night. Saeed made me a lobster spaghetti that was excellent, you can pre order anything you would like. The cocktails, wine and champagne are very generously served, the all inclusive is very good value.

This was our third holiday in Halaveli (this time celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary) and it was wonderful. The heart of the island is the service which is amazing, kind and genuine. The island and surrounding lagoon remain stunning. My wife and I really enjoyed the snorkelling each day straight out from our water villa. The TGI dive operation is top notch. I have done over 150 dives in the Maldives but this was the best week of diving for me ever including my #1 Maldives dive of my life at Maaya Thila - incredible! Throughout the hotel the standard of service is outstanding. The hotel really helped to make our 20th wedding anniversary celebration special. We encountered a couple of issues during our stay both of which were handled swiftly, professionally and with genuine kindness. While we would like to thank EVERYONE we did want to make a special mention to the following.... Hiroshi from TGI for his outstanding care and professionalism; Hesh and Ei from Front Office for their part in making our celebration special and for their warmth; Sameera for his attention to detail and ensuring we always had everything we needed and for swiftly dealing with any issues; Rasheed in Jahaz for his hospitality and humour; Bandara for his warm welcome back and kindness; Santosh from Security for his IT skills and who deserves a medal (he knows why!); Santosh from Events and IVD for his energy and warmth; Iyad for keeping our room spotless and making us smile with his bed decoration and towel sculptures; Chef Mandeana for the very interesting kitchen tour and finally the entire team at Jing (where we enjoyed the most wonderful food and hospitality) including the super talented Chef Atul, Hassan, Maison, Akul and Sandun. I'm not in the least surprised that you are full of repeating guests. I'm sure you do for others what you do for us and it is no wonder that you should be voted No.1 resort in the Maldives. In my humble view. Specific mentions to Silvia, who looks after my every whim and want. I feel you have become a friend Silvia, thank you for all that you did for me in so many ways. To Sameera, whose gentle and kind disposition never ceases to amaze me, and how efficiently obliging you are. (It still amazes me how you found the pepper pot!!) I risk repeating myself as this is my 9th vacation at Constance Halaveli and I am already looking forward for the next time ! As I have already written in previous reviews, after several visits in many luxury resorts at Maldives we now consider home Constance Halaveli not because it is the most luxury one (although IT IS luxury) but because of the NATURAL kindness of all the staff and the relaxed atmosphere you feel there. SPA is great (Thank you Mr. Ishan! and Amelia and Ireene Massages are very professional), Food and wine at Jiing Restaurant can be rated with Michelin star (The new Jiing Chef Atul continues perfectly the tradition set by the Great Chef Siddiq, now in charge of the whole restoration, and the Somellier Akul has been taking care of us with great wines every day. Rooms (I suggest Beach Villa) are great with the kind Yussuf looking after every single detail every day. All under the supervision of the Great Sameera and the Director Tangi. And of course Silvia, taking care of us from the day of the booking until our departure. A great team, perfectly organized, working friendly and becoming like friends in a paradise. Before sharing any review, I always believe providing some context is important. We are a well-traveled couple in our early 40s who deeply appreciate peaceful, beautiful resorts, exceptional food, and outstanding service. This is what I feel is a balanced review, and an honest comprehensive perspective that I wish I could have read before choosing to stay at Constance Halaveli. Not because it would have changed my decision, this is a remarkable destination, but because it might have made for a smoother start to our stay, allowing us to settle into holiday mode more quickly. We always strive to offer fair and balanced reviews, and when reading them understanding that travel experiences are deeply personal and shaped by individual expectations and preferences. What one traveler values may differ from another, and we wholeheartedly respect that. Ultimately, the hallmark of an excellent resort is how it addresses challenges. Inevitably, issues arise, and managing varied guest expectations can be no small feat. In this regard, the team at Constance Halaveli excelled, handling any concerns we had with kindness, efficiency, and professionalism. In summary, the staff at Constance Halaveli are exceptional and truly make the resort shine. The beach is breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters and some of the most spectacular sunsets we’ve ever experienced. The accommodations were decent but could benefit from some updating to enhance the overall experience. Our preference was 100% an overwater villa to a beach villa because it felt brighter and spacious. The dining at Jing was truly outstanding, Chef Atul is an incredible asset and talent he offered a truly memorable culinary experience. While Meeru was generally good, there were occasional inconsistencies that could be improved (quality of the meat for example) Additionally, we felt the resort would benefit from introducing more casual dining options during the day to provide greater variety and flexibility for guests. The Overall Experience ARRIVAL AND SEAPLANE TRANSFER After a long flight, we arrived at the Constance lounge, which is beautiful, we were met by very friendly host, who made sure we had everything we needed, we were asked to sign some documents and in reading the small print on the form it was asking for an agreement to pay the equivalent of 8 nights’ stay (approximately $14,000) to cover incidentals. I am sure this was an oversight or miscommunication at the lounge. The lounge staff eventually called the resort who told us it wasn’t needed, but this experience started out a little stressful and wasn’t necessary. But something to look out for or perhaps streamline is this is a regular occurance. The seaplane transfer, first and foremost, isn’t included, costing around $1,300 plus taxes. We were aware of this when booking, so it’s not a negative at all, but something that’s not made particularly clear when booking with certain providers this is not on the resort at all, but might be helpful for other travelers. In recent years we’ve always visited islands by boat transfer in the main, so the luggage charges were not something we were familiar with, so worth bearing in mind that the seaplane transfer comes with strict baggage limits: 20kg for checked luggage and 5kg for hand luggage, with any excess charged at $5 per kg. While this is not the resort’s policy, t’s something to be mindful of if you’re traveling with heavier luggage. We were 25kgs over in total including hand luggage (which is quite easily done!) and it cost $148 this included taxes but that was only paid once at airport on arrival in Malè ACCOMODATION We started out at a Beach Pool Villa, which was a slightly more expensive option when booking, but it was unfortunately a bit of a disappointment. The overall design of the room felt dark, a little oppressive and poorly thought out, it felt tired, and and little worn. The outdoor bathroom, while absolutely lovely in theory, had little storage space for toiletries, makeup, or other essentials. The walk-in wardrobe was far too small to accommodate even two small suitcases, and didn't really offer adequate storage for clothes, but we've already established I am an overpacker so perhaps that was a 'me' problem! But when eventually moved to an overwater villa, compared to the space offer in this accomodation it confirmed to us that the storage space in the beach villa was inadequate We were on the AIP (known as the Crystal All Inclusive Package) this is the only level of AI at this resort, all meals and drinks included as you'd expect and the mini bar and room snacks. There was a half bottle of Champagne on arrival and the red and white wine, nuts, crackers, pringles, chocolate bars and soft drinks were replenished daily, although we never made use of these it's nice to have but there's perhaps some room for some elevated or personalised touches here. The All-Inclusive Package includes two bottles of spirits, but unfortunately, these were not provided in our room upon arrival. While we wouldn’t have consumed two full bottles, having the option of a nightcap in the room would have been a thoughtful touch. It felt a bit awkward to have to request this. However, the staff were accommodating and provided a small amount of rum, which we preferred over vodka or gin, ensuring our preferences were met in the end. Additionally, early January was unfortunate with poor weather, and the reality of the Maldives is changing. Sandbags were visible in some areas to prevent erosion, and some villas were located near large pipes mining sand and water. This is, of course, unavoidable in certain areas, but those villas really shouldn’t be occupied in my humble opinion FOOD AND DINING Jing Bar and Restaurant : A beautiful setting and ambience, incredible cocktails and stunning sunsets, the food is truly exquisite and this is where we found the majority of the stand out service. Meeru Restaurant: Delicious food, great menu, limited to one starter, main, and side per person, understandably. But it seemed strange that an extra side of salad or corn, for example, was chargeable on AIP, though staff noticed this was a little ridiculous and took the charge off our bill. Jahaz Buffet: Breakfast: Good selection, and lovely staff. Jahaz is where you’ll eat breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don’t /can’t book other restaurants - so the atmosphere can feel repetitive but we’re not keen on constant buffet style anyway so that might be a personal preference The resort do offer a variety of different themed nights, and do their best to offer variety on the food so you can't fault that at all. WINE It was quite amusing that on our first night, the sommelier enthusiastically highlighted the resort’s impressive 25,000-bottle wine cellar, yet the first Bordeaux we requested wasn’t available, a small irony that gave us a chuckle. That said, the overall wine selection was very good, with a wide range of options included in the All-Inclusive Package. Dare I say almost too much choice. There's an additional 35% discount on non-AIP wines if you're on the AIP package this was appreciated, though with the 25% tax applied, the actual savings were more modest. On a personal note, we’ve had the pleasure of exploring wine in some truly remarkable places across the world, wine tasting across France, Italy, and Napa. We shared our preferences with sommeliers on several occasions, but that elusive “perfect match” seemed just out of reach. It could simply come down to individual taste, as we’re particularly passionate about Southern Italian wines, which had a more limited presence at the resort, but personally we didn't feel the wine it lived up to the hype. The Sushi at the pool bar was not included in the AIP, something we’ve never encountered in other all-inclusive resorts. It really seemed like the oddest set up. There was no-where to grab an ice cream or casual snack unless you visit the buffet for lunch, which closes at 3 PM. Afternoon tea is available but consists of danishes and cakes. A salad bar or sandwich option would have been a great addition. Booking ahead for restaurants and spa is essential. We usually like to be a little more spontaneous, but you can’t afford to do that here. There was no availability until Max the restaurant manager came to help out, we were so grateful but felt somewhat awkward that it had to be escalated During our stay, Meeru was closed on Thursday, and Jing was closed on Saturday. This may have been specific to the week we visited, but it’s something to keep in mind for future guests. We were informed that this was due to the resort offering a beach BBQ experience instead, available at an additional cost of $90 per person for those on the All-Inclusive Package. While we understand that this adds variety to the dining options, it did feel somewhat restrictive for an all-inclusive resort, as it limited choice on those evenings. That said, we did notice that the furniture from Meeru was being used for the BBQ setup, which makes sense in terms of logistics. Ultimately, while this approach may not suit everyone, it’s worth being aware of when planning dining experiences at the resort. THE ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE (AIP) One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of clear and consistent information on this. I don’t believe the is entirely down to the resort. But perhaps specific agreements they have with booking agents, in short it would benefit from some simplifying Some confusions - • $100 spa credit: Some packages include it, some don’t. Check with your booking agent. • Seaplane inclusion: Again, depends on your travel agent’s deal. • Two excursions included: A lovely touch, not many resorts do this. • Sushi bar: Not included. • Pool bar snacks: Not included. • Premium cocktails: Some included, but oddly, a cocktail like the Honeycomb which I did have and was delicious (amaretto and cognac) was charged at $22, while a $46 glass of cognac was included. Each ingredient could be ordered separately, just not in the cocktail—completely bizarre. SPA EXPERIENCE The spa had recently been refurbished and looked modern and inviting, which was a highlight. However, if you’re on a spa package, be aware that around half the treatments (basically all of the Sisley ones) are excluded, it's understandable really, Sisley is an incredibly high end brand that is expensive, but this wasn’t communicated at check-in or when we were allocated our spa packages but only when we tried to book treatments at the spa. Additionally, spa bookings need to be made in advance too, again understandable, at first the spa was fully booked during our stay. This may have been due to poor weather on a couple of days keeping guests indoors, but it’s something to keep in mind. However the spa manager ( I am truly sorry I didn't catch their name) but he was exceptional at accommodating us and Maria did some of my treatments was incredible. FACILITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT The resort is quite small, but there's a peacefulness to that, and there's no specific 'entertainment' on some evenings you can find ta singer/ small band on beach which was a lovely touch. There's no bicycles to get around the island, but walking around it is no hardship of course, they mention it's for safety reasons, yet every other Maldivian resort we’ve visited offers them (Ozen Resorts, Six senses etc) The gym was well equipped An early morning yoga class or sunrise meditation would have been a fabulous addition. They had some yoga here and there but most of the time it was at an additional cost. The little meditation area with lemongrass drinks and water fridge - such a lovely touch! AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT If you’re at full occupancy and the reviews are consistently good then perhaps there's no need to change a thing, but for what it’s worth some suggested areas of improvement and some small wins - Upload AI plan on your website (if it varies depending on booking perhaps just state that) - Beach/Pool towels and some of the napkins and table clothes are faded which takes away from a premium feel, something that could quite probably be easily fixed - Proper wine glasses in the room (not the short stumpy kind!) - More yoga meditation classes (sunrise sunset sessions etc) - Some additional snack option, salad bar/ice cream/smoothie station would be a great addition As already mentioned the staff here are exceptional. Each of these team members below specifically contributed to making our stay extraordinary, and we are so grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and dedication. • GAZIM at Jahaz Restaurant: On our first day, I asked if a green juice was available. Although it wasn’t on the menu, he had one specially made and ensured it was brought to our breakfast table every morning, a thoughtful and memorable gesture. • SUNDAN at JING: A true credit to the resort. His cocktail-making skills are unparalleled, and he strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and familiarity with guests. His warm and engaging personality made every interaction a pleasure. • MARIA in the Spa: An incredibly kind and talented therapist who gave one of the best spa treatments I’ve ever had, an absolute highlight of the trip. • BASSAM, our housekeeper: His attention to detail was extraordinary. He not only cleaned our room impeccably but also arranged my cosmetics neatly and even placed a bookmark in my book if I left it face down, such thoughtful care. • MAX the Restaurant Manager: Max was consistently kind and accommodating, especially when some dining options weren’t available. He always had time for a friendly chat and went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after. All the restaurant staff in Jing, but ATUL as already mentioned is an exceptionally talented chef and we feel privileged to have experienced his food, but he was came across as and incredibly kind hearted, wonderful person with a huge passion and love for what he does. • The Spa Manager: What began as a slightly stressful process was quickly simplified by the spa manager, who handled everything with genuine kindness and care, making us feel completely at ease. • DARINA : She welcomed us upon arrival with warmth and kindness, instantly setting a positive tone for our stay. Her caring nature was truly appreciated. • EMELIE: She was quick to address any issues we encountered and made sure we never felt like a burden, handling everything with professionalism and grace. If you're considering staying at Constance Halaveli, I encourage you to do thorough research and just to set some realistic expectations. While the destination is undeniably beautiful, staff exceptional and overall offers a wonderful experience, I found myself surprised by a few issues that didn’t align with the overwhelmingly positive reviews I had read before my trip. It’s possible my expectations were simply too high. With a few adjustments, I would happily return in the future. This review is shared with the best intentions, aiming to provide insights so that other travelers can be aware and enjoy their stay to the fullest.

We have just returned from our second holiday at this gorgeous hotel. All the staff gave us a lovely welcome back and we were delighted to be given the same beach villa as last time (which we had requested ). We would highly recommend an all inclusive package which gives a remarkably wide selection of wines and spirits . The food is excellent and plentiful with different themes each night . There is live musical entertainment in the evening but this is gentle and unobtrusive. The only extras we incurred were presents from the charming shops and laundry which was super quick and beautifully presented. All the staff are outstanding, extremely kind and helpful. My husband and I are quite elderly and if we manage to return to The Maldives we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

Having spent a wonderful time at Constance’s sister property Moofushi, we took a lovely speedboat journey for our six night stay at Halaveli. We had a nine person welcome party on the jetty just for us, followed by a lovely refreshing drink on arrival and we were introduced to our excellent host for the trip, Hesh. Villa (No.14) We chose a beach villa for our whole stay and were absolutely delighted, because it’s honestly incredible. Firstly it’s beautifully looked after, super clean and all areas are swept, so it always look pristine. The whole villa area is quite large with a gorgeous garden at the rear, space to the side of the villa and a big area at the front too. It is very private and has the sense of being exclusive with walls all around and even a lovely little gate leading to the ocean. We had a pool in the back garden area where there is an open shower, a bath and outdoor sinks. The villa was serviced twice a day which was really appreciated. Inside, the bedroom area is a very good size, and there is also the loo and walk in wardrobe. The mini bar is excellent with a wide range of snacks and drinks that were replenished daily. We also had welcome champagne and fruit. My wife loved the fact that there were so many different areas to sunbathe, with loungers in the garden area, right in front of the villa and also out on the beach. There are also loungers under cover on the decking area along with a table and chairs. There were so many lovely little touches that made the villa special, with everything thought about very carefully. It had such a luxury feel and we haven’t experienced anything that felt quite as special. Food and Drink We loved the food at Halaveli. There are 3 main restaurants, Jahaz (buffet), Meeru (beach grill) and Jing (Asian fusion). There is also a Japanese/sushi restaurant for lunch only, but we didn’t try that - I think you had to pay extra. The buffet was great with a big selection of various types of food for most tastes. It was beautifully displayed and was always a good option. At breakfast you could also ask for hot food to be served as table service. We went to Meeru once and had a good meal there on the sand, but by far the best in our opinion was Jing. It is excellent and we went 3 times and loved each meal. It’s a beautifully designed restaurant overwater, and the service was always first class. The quality and presentation of the food at Jing was exceptional and it felt very special every time we went there. Afternoon tea was included at the pool bar, which was helpful when we had to skip lunch because of an excursion and were starving when we got back mid-afternoon, by which time the buffet has finished. It was a lovely selection of savouries and small sweet deserts. The wine and cocktails were excellent. Superb choice and you can have input from the sommeliers (although one wasn’t particularly helpful in our opinion, not really matching well with what we liked). The cocktails were original and we enjoyed working our way through the menu during our time there. We also really enjoyed the live music that was played on the beach every night near Jahaz. There are a few points to mention from a restaurant perspective: 1. There needs to be another restaurant option included in the all-inclusive package. I think we would have been bored beyond a week’s stay because there is only so much buffet food one can enjoy, even with themed nights. 2. The food choices at Meeru could have been more interesting in our opinion. Unfortunately the night we went there service was also pretty slow so the food arrived luke-warm. 3. The chairs in Jahaz are too low for the tables and pretty uncomfortable. We also found this restaurant unbearably hot at times due to a lack of through-breeze and perhaps not enough (or not low enough) fans. Ocean, Beach, Flora and Fauna The island is immaculate and extremely beautiful, with wonderful different flowers everywhere and the settings for the pools and bars so picturesque. The beach areas are stunning and it’s just beautiful everywhere you go. On our side of the island there is a series of rock barriers to protect the sand from waves, so it has a lagoon feel, which was wonderful and it was always so calm and lovely to swim in. Snorkelling in the ‘lagoon’ area in front of our villa provided limited value to be honest, because it’s mostly just sand, but other parts of the island, where the reef is easier to access, were much better. Wherever you were though so could still see amazing sea life, including reef sharks and rays. I also loved seeing the huge fruit bats, geckos, crabs, herons and other wildlife that either live or visit the island. Something to see everywhere. We took one trip while we were there and that was an excursion to see turtles, which was very well organised, with superb guides. We only saw a couple of turtles but it was a really excellent trip out. Team We loved the service and team throughout the whole island. We were always made to feel special wherever we went and staff smiled. You might have this as a given but in our experience you don’t get this everywhere so great training! Max, the food & beverages manager (I believe), took time at least every day to check and see how we were. He did that to everyone, it was amazing. He took on feedback and really brought a sense of absolute professionalism across the restaurants. Other It was my wife’s birthday while we were there and everyone seemed to know. She was wished happy birthday everywhere we went that day and there were special treats in the room and over dinner, including a beautiful cake. The bed decorations every day were lovely and showed the kind of care and attention we saw throughout the island. We also liked the use of the air conditioned lounge on the island whilst we were waiting for our departure by seaplane. Summary There may have been some other areas for improvement, but honestly whatever they were have been forgotten because our over-riding memory of our time at Halaveli is excellence in all areas…our amazing villa, the general beauty of the island, the food and of course the team and service. We generally like to try new places, but Halaveli will, without hesitation, be on the list to return to at some point.

Having experienced Constance hotels in the Seychelles we thought we would try the Halaveli. From the moment we arrived we were taken by the level of service and standards throughout this small and exceptional resort. The rooms, facilities, food, and hotel team were outstanding and although visitors can always find small nuances with decor, restaurant availability etc, this is an amazing place to visit. From the management team to the gardeners and kitchen staff, all were very engaging and went out of their to speak and ask about our stay etc. A particular thanks to KC one of the mangers for his particular welcome and arranging the screening of the 6 Nations rugby! Atul and Rajakumar for their exceptional food in Jing and Meeru and Atul the Sommelier for his teaching and choice of wines! Sorry we can mention everyone but too many names to remember. The reviews don’t lie, well worth a visit and we will return!

If you are considering Halaveli for your holiday, then stop reading this review and go book it now. It can be overwhelming when you first start looking for somewhere to stay but Halaveli delivers on all fronts. From our arrival until the day we left, everything was perfect and I include the transfer to and from the island in the Constance Lounge in Malé where we were really looked after by Shamla. The island itself is pristine, with great surrounds and beautiful sea life, but what really made the awesome experience we had was the team at Halaveli. Nothing was too much trouble but better than that, they anticipated everything and were truly accommodating. I think some times people can be a bit sniffy at buffet set ups but Halaveli will change your mind on this. The food in all three restaurants that we visited (2 al a carte and one buffet) was lovely. A big shout out to Tapas who looked after us so wonderfully and the Indian Ocean night was incredible. We did a variety of activities in our eight days at Halaveli including manta ray snorkelling, turtle snorkelling and a sea expedition. I also had some wonderful spa treatments (thank you Iluh) and the team at the spa (Shanda and Juwita) were super lovely and kind. Thank you. Honestly, Halaveli is probably the best place I’ve stayed at and has made my first trip to the Maldives one that I’ll remember forever. Too many wonderful people to thank for helping us celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary but special mention goes to Adam and Naape on the beach. Hussan for his great service and fishing chats. Rasheed who was the perfect host. Yousef for our spotless water villa and the beautiful bed decorations. The staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay really special and all the staff were really excellent. Rasheed was so welcoming in the buffet restaurant, Amelie was great in reception and the manager Tangi Le Grand is obviously doing an excellent job in running the hotel. We were all inclusive and the food was so good in the buffet with chefs always being around to chat. We had a fantastic beach meal organised with food that was so delicious. The water villa was well appointed and spacious. Thank you all for a memorable holiday.
