The room was ok, cute, a great porch with hammock, but right off the lobby, and totally visible to everyone walking by.
Booking this room was insanely difficult. Confusing messages, although when I called, it instantly became easier. Because my bank would not accept a transfer from outside the US, the owner had to make some unusual exception for me to book without paying the deposit. I offered to use Venmo, PayPal, anything. It delayed booking and planning the rest of the trip immensely. While the stay was great and staff were incredible, this policy and the hassle really impacted how we planned our time in Holbox.
Please know that they do accept PayPal for customers from some countries, and your experience may be different if you are from Europe or South America, and if you have problems, call, rather than message.

Worst customer service ever-Don’t go there !
I want to warn you about this hotel! Eduardo Alvarado & Luis López from Reservations department are rude. They hang off the phone and they told me that they were busy! Please go to another hotel where they value the customers.
Too expensive for what you get. Some rooms doesn´t have a/a

Lots of good points, but the cleaners come EARLY!

PROS:
Casa Blatha is a 15 min walk out of town, which we loved. Walk up the beach as the sun is setting to go out for the evening. And, because it’s just out of town, it’s quiet at night.
Nice people. They gave us a local map when we arrived and pointed out a few things to do and places to eat/drink.
Nice little beach restaurant called CaroLinda. Not open late. Gave us a discount because we were staying at Cash Blatha, so we think perhaps it’s owned by the same people.
CONS:
Expensive for what you get. Basic (but clean) room. Not premium. But we paid £70 per night which we felt was a bit steep.
The cleaners themselves are really sweet people. BUT - whoever manages their timings should rearrange things so that they’re not hovering around sweeping the area outside the rooms at 7.30am every day, ready to get in and clean your room! If you’re up and out early every day then I guess it wouldn’t be a problem, but we were hoping for a lie-in on our holiday!
We think the accommodation is split into 3 buildings. There are some rooms in the original Case Blatha building (approx 20). Then there’s some rooms directly behind the beach cafe CaroLinda. Then there’s rooms 31-38 in a third building that’s 3 blocks back from the beach.
There was building work every day during our first week. The building we were staying in (the third building) hasn’t been finished - they looked like they were fitting out the last 2 rooms.

Holbox has became different those past years and now the taxis are with full motor which means noisy.
The hotel is not in the center of the town (5min by taxi) which been a quite place for holidays.
The staff is very friendly and always dedicated to your comfort (they did the check out for us early that the standard open hour).
Breakfast was one of the best that we had during our holidays. You pay only what you consume which is good and you like light breakfast.
Thanks again to all the team and we would love to visit you again

Adorable Place, Excellent Service
Upon arrival to the hotel (we were somewhat bewildered at the island honestly) we received such excellent service! Perfect activity and restaurant recommendations, cute room, and great breakfast. No AC if you are expecting it, though.
Great owners, ethical. Eco friendly, nice amenities! Breakfast is everything you need, or they arranged for you. Good price. Bikes are available, you must ride through town! And the island! (Just a Suggestion;)Beautiful views, the hotel has its own too. Their stuff speak Spanish and English. Cool people. It is...

The hotel has a main body and a couple of separate buildings which are newer. We were in a large confortable room with 2 queen beds which were confortable. The included breakfast is the continental one which is average. Eggs and quesadilla are for extra money but cost is very reasonable. Access to the breakfast room is a bit difficult with uneven stairs made of tires filled with sand. For children, older or handicapped people they are difficult to use. For sure anyone has to pay attention in getting down those stairs! The hugest problem in the room was the lack of water pressure in the shower. Temperature was also difficult to regulate and slow in changing from burning hot to milder degrees. Luckily shower is spacious and you can move out from the water flow when needed. There was no hot water in the sink which also leaked and kept the sink's counter constantly wet. The room was lit by cold LD lights from the ceiling. Switches were distant from the bed forcing you to get up to turn them off. There aren't any amenities and we knew it since the hotel rate is reasonable. But an hairdryer would have been useful. Another huge problem was the very poor, unreliable Wifi. To use it you have to sit in common areas and you have to share the lobby's couches with the house dogs. I do not consider that clean and I do not like wear dogs' hair on my clothes.
