Our entire trip was fantastic, our concierge Angel in building 24 answered all questions we had, gave us great advice and made our trip seamless. Marvin by the pool was top notch, our first day he learned our names and made sure to greet us by name every day and made sure we were always taken care of with waters, food, and drinks. The food on the resort was delicious, the rooms and pools were clean, and the white sand beaches were great! We have already looked at dates to rebook and come back based on our experiences this trip!

Spectacular Experience at Secrets Maroma Beach Our experience at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun was absolutely spectacular from start to finish! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional service and genuine hospitality. Every employee we encountered was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The ood was outstanding. There was an incredible variety of options, and the quality and presentation of the meals were excellent. Whether we were enjoying a casual meal during the day or dining at one of the restaurants in the evening, everything was delicious. What truly stood out, though, was the people. The entire staff deserves recognition for the way they treat their guests. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and their attention to detail made us feel genuinely valued throughout our stay. The resort itself is beautiful, the beach is breathtaking, and the overall atmosphere is exactly what you want from a luxury vacation. But it was the exceptional employees and service that truly made the experience unforgettable. We cannot say enough good things about Secrets Maroma Beach. Sorry to all our friends at Moroma for this very late review - life just got in the way when we got back home hence we needed our holiday in the first place. We think it is our sixth stay at this fantastic hotel - and we were delighted to see the new renovations. The Theatre the disco and last but not least the breakfast area the sea food and the grill what a fantastic job and we look forward to visiting to see the re furbished Italian and French restaurants next year if not before. Now for the special mentions sorry folks quite a few. Senor Rodrigo and Senora Itzel for their amazing friendship. Carlos you are a star and that special key ring you had mede for both of us really had me thinking about you a lot watching the world cup on our return. The rest of the team were wonderful too, i.e. Gabriela, Ariel and Maricruz. Special thanks for our concierge Katya Poolside Marco, Edy and Rene were amazing and special thanks to Valentin at the Barracuda. Breakfast was superlative with Berenice and Freddy. In the Lobby bar Estrella, Neydi, Jessica, Abigail and Arturo made us really welcome. Special thanks to Luis at the Pizza spot and Roxana at Himitsu.

We visited Secrets Maroma Beach with our friends for 10 nights staying in preferred Club Rooms. The resort is beautiful and really well maintained. Our rooms were excellent. What stands out most at this resort is the service provided by the staff, they are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Special mentions to our concierges: Roger and Roberto, they checked in with us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, amazing customer service from them both! Beach service was exceptional, Hugo who looked after our beds so well and Marco who kept us hydrated throughout the day - thank you both Abigail in the preferred club lounge was so attentive (thank you for looking after Mr Shrimp!) Cinar from the steakhouse looked after us so well Our favourite restaurants were the Italian, Pan Asian and steakhouse. A really relaxing stay in a great resort - thank you

This was our first visit to Cancun but not our first visit to the Secrets chain. We went for our 20th Anniversary. We got a little welcome letter, champagne, and a banner on our door to celebrate. We came to Secrets to rest, recharge, and decompress. All accomplished. We left refreshed and very happy with our experience. We loved that the water is filtered throughout the resort and they give you reusable aluminum thermos type cups with your room. There are water stations to refill them all over. We did go when the seaweed was high, but the resort constantly was clearing it away. There is a smell, but it just reminded me of a lake. Definitely did not affect our enjoyment of the beach. We reserved beach cabanas on 3 different days. Service was great. Drinks were fast & delicious. Fish tacos are 10/10. Luis was so nice! our waiters made sure our drinks were refilled asao and brought food right to our cabana! Overall, the food was on par with other Secrets locations (high quality and delicious). Best dessert imo is the chocolate cake at Bordeaux. We had a swim out suite. Highly recommend, especially if crowds give you anxiety but you still want to float in a pool. Bed was firm and supportive but not hard. Pillows were feather pillows. We moved from Building 26 to 25 due to waiting for our room upgrade one night. Both conceigre Roberto from 25 and Roger from 26 made sure we had everything we needed. They helped with reservations and use of the golf cart to go places after my husband twisted his ankle a little the first night. The resort wrapped it for him at no charge. Watch out for the step down in the preferred club suites. They have added a motion sensor light to help with that. You do get used to it quickly. We personalized our bed set up (asked to remove the duvet & add an extra sheet/light blanket instead) and our mini fridge contents - once changed it did not have to be requested again. Maids did such a great job! Humberto was very kind and made sure we were aware of everything we could ask for & always had what we wanted. FYI - There is pretty impressive store at the main building if you forgot anything - basically a pop up Walgreens. They even had some rx's but we did not need any so not sure how that works. I do not speak Spanish & had ZERO issues communicating with staff. They also offer a Spanish class activity to learn some while you are there. The couples massage at the Spa was fantastic. The hydro circuit was fun and not too long. We do have UVC. We definitely used our discount across the resort. There are no maintenance fees and it is not a timeshare. Our package includes preferred club benefits no matter which room type we book. That's pretty great! The deals are better than other places online and there is price match policy. We will be back to Maroma for the excellent service, delicious food, and relaxed as you want to be atmosphere.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun, and while the resort itself is beautiful, what truly made our trip special was the incredible staff. Roberto, our concierge, was fantastic throughout our stay. He was friendly, helpful, and always made sure we had everything we needed. The activities team was another highlight. Angel (Brown Sugar), Isabell, and Joann brought so much energy and fun to each day. They were engaging without being pushy and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure everyone was having a great time. We also really enjoyed Eduardo in the Preferred Club lounge. Whether he was bartending or serving us, he was always friendly, attentive, and professional. He made spending time in the lounge even more enjoyable. But the person who deserves our biggest recognition is Marvin, our pool server. Marvin was absolutely outstanding. From the first day, he was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. We were never left waiting for drinks or food, and somehow he always seemed to know when we needed something. What impressed us most wasn't just how well he took care of us—it was watching him provide that same level of service to everyone in his section. We watched him hustle every single day, constantly moving around the pool and making sure every guest was taken care of. Even when he was extremely busy, he remained friendly, upbeat, and professional. That kind of work ethic and genuine hospitality deserves to be recognized. A few things to be aware of: There is ongoing construction in the middle of the resort. While it was noticeable, it never became a major issue for us or significantly affected our vacation. There was also the sargassum at the beach, which is obviously something the resort has little control over. The staff worked hard to manage it, and while it affected the appearance and use of the beach somewhat, it wasn't enough to negatively impact our overall experience. We spent plenty of time enjoying the pools and the rest of the resort. We mention both of these things simply to give a realistic review for anyone planning a trip. Neither would prevent us from returning. Employees like Marvin, Roberto, Angel, Isabell, Joann, and Eduardo are what turn a great resort into a memorable vacation. They are a huge asset to Secrets Maroma Beach, and we sincerely hope management recognizes how much they contribute to the guest experience. Overall, we had a fantastic trip. The beautiful resort combined with the exceptional service—especially from Marvin and the other staff members we mentioned—far outweighed the few minor drawbacks. My husband and I just returned from Secrets Maroma Resort, where we have been a few times now. The place is beautiful, even more so now that they have renovated much of the resort. They are continuing to renovate (adding another pool at the time we were there) but it didn't bother us too much. You can definitely hear the renovation noice but they play music and it's not terrible. They are moving on to renovating three of the restaurants next (starting late August) so if possible, I would wait to book until that is finished to get the full experience. The food is delicious....we ate at all the restaurants and were very pleased with the quality and freshness of the food. Each restaurant is also very accommodating and diligent about any allergies guests might have. For us, one of the things that distinguishes this resort is the quality of the service and the wonderful people who work there. Everyone works so hard. We would especially like to highlight the following people: -Carmen, Luis, Gonzalo, Naydi and Uziel from the Lobby Bar -Alvaro who took care of our baggage upon check in and check out (so professional and lovely) -Julio (manager) and Misael from Oceana -Sergio from Portofino -Alejandro and Josue from the Coco Cafe (we visited everyday!) -the Preferred Club bartender, whose name escapes me - one of the best! -Domingo from Bordeaux -Darwin and Felix from Himitsu -Gisela from the spa -Armando Coda, the most amazing mentalist -Hugo and Jose, the preferred club concierges -Marcelo, our concierge from building 27 -Marco and Carrerra, beach waiters Overall, it was an excellent stay. There is one note that I would like to highlight. Some changes have been implemented over the past few years, especially since Hyatt took over the Secrets resorts. Breakfast is no longer available at the Beach Club. This was one of our greatest disappointments. Hydrotherapies are no longer offered for preferred club guests. Also very disappointing as it really costs them nothing and is such a nice touch. We were also disappointed by a noticeable shift in the overall atmosphere compared with our previous visits. Since Hyatt took over the Secrets resorts, it feels as though the focus has increasingly shifted toward a specific clientele. We particularly miss the stronger sense of Mexican culture that used to be woven into the experience—Mexican music, local influences, and entertainment that gave the resort a distinctive sense of place. Instead, we now encounter more American music, American duets, and American-themed shows. After returning several times over the past few years, the change is quite noticeable. If this is what you are looking for, then you will enjoy your stay here. We were also disappointed to see that the restaurant dress codes, which are clearly outlined on the resort’s own website, are no longer consistently enforced. Seeing men dining in shorts and flip-flops took away from the sense of elegance and sophistication that was once such an important part of the Secrets Maroma experience. These may seem like small details, but together they have changed the character of the resort—and unfortunately, not in a direction that we prefer.

My boyfriend Paul and I just returned from an incredible week at Secrets Maroma Beach, and I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. This was my second visit to the resort, although my first was about 10 years ago, and it was so special to come back after all this time. The resort is just as beautiful as I remembered, and it was also exciting to see the improvements they are making, including the new Preferred Club pool that is currently in the works. We stayed in a Preferred Club Governor’s Suite with an ocean view and swim-out, and it was absolutely beautiful. If you are debating whether Preferred Club is worth it, in our experience, it absolutely was. The additional amenities and level of service made an already amazing vacation feel even more special. But what truly sets Secrets Maroma Beach apart is the people. Our concierge, Marcelo in Building 27, was absolutely phenomenal. He went above and beyond for us throughout our entire stay and made us feel incredibly well taken care of. He was attentive, kind, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making our vacation as wonderful as possible. We also cannot say enough about Aldo, the Head Concierge. Our experience with Aldo was exceptional and I cannot imagine a better person suited for his role! The level of care, professionalism, communication, and genuine kindness he showed us was something we will never forget. Between Aldo and Marcelo, we truly felt like they went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was a dream we would want to relive over and over again. We cannot thank them enough. Another person who deserves special recognition is Freddy at World Café during breakfast. He provided such wonderful service and was one of those people who simply made our mornings better. It is staff members like Freddy who turn a beautiful resort into a place you remember long after you get home. The food and drinks throughout the resort were fantastic. We especially loved the blackberry mojitos with 1800 tequila and the strawberry margaritas with 1800 — definitely two drinks we will be missing at home! We were consistently impressed with the quality of the food, cocktails, and service throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the spa and had wonderful massages and a facial. The spa itself is beautiful and relaxing, and the treatments were exactly what you hope for on a vacation like this. There was plenty to enjoy in the evenings as well. The nighttime entertainment was so much fun, and the silent disco was definitely a highlight. It was such a fun atmosphere and one of those vacation nights you find yourself laughing about afterward. We also had the opportunity to enjoy a Presidential Beach Cabana, which was simply amazing. Spending the day right on that gorgeous Maroma Beach with incredible service was one of the highlights of our trip. Off property, we did a catamaran excursion to Isla Mujeres, which was another fantastic experience and something we would absolutely recommend if you want to get out and explore for a day. One other tip for future guests: bring cash for tipping. The staff here work incredibly hard and provide such wonderful service that we were very happy to recognize them throughout the week. We found that having roughly $300–$400 in smaller bills for a week made it easy to tip bartenders, servers, housekeeping, concierge staff, beach and pool staff, and others who helped make our stay so special. Secrets Maroma Beach is obviously a gorgeous resort on one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, but what makes it truly exceptional is the staff. The level of service we experienced was top-notch from beginning to end. There were so many people who contributed to making our vacation special, even beyond those whose names we were able to remember. Ten years after my first visit, I can say that Secrets Maroma Beach still holds a very special place in my heart. Paul and I left feeling incredibly grateful for the experience and for all of the people who made our week so memorable. Every request was handled effortlessly and with a warm smile, keeping our schedule completely stress-free. While we were at the beach on our anniversary, Marcelo surprised us by decorating our room with a door banner, rose petals on the bed, and a thoughtful, handwritten card. Beach Concierge Luis and Beach Cabana Waiters Miguel "Mikey" and Gaspar: Your cheerful energy and exceptional attention to detail made our beach days so special. On our anniversary, Luis surprised us at our cabana with espresso martinis and a gift bag of Mexican coffee beans. His prompt service and friendly conversations made relaxing by the water an absolute pleasure. Housekeeping & Mini-Bar Team: A special thank you to Noemi in housekeeping and Humberto on mini-bar service. Noemi kept our room spotless and fresh, while Humberto noticed our favorite snacks and beverages and kept them generously stocked without us even having to ask. Exemplary service from both! Main Lobby Bar: Felipe provided an elevated, unforgettable experience. His deep knowledge of Mexican tequilas turned late-afternoon drinks into a masterclass in mixology, and his custom cocktail creations were the highlight of our evenings. His passion, sophistication, and warm hospitality represent the absolute best of five-star service. Every employee we encountered treated us like VIPs, ensuring no detail was overlooked. The Preferred Club experience, paired with this world-class team, made this one of the most relaxing and luxurious vacations we have ever taken.
