Manuel was spectacular in everything from customer service to overall performance!! He continues like came by to make sure we were ok and the food was good and had an amazing attitude each time! The chefs, Miguel and Robert were fantastic and cooked our steaks to absolute perfection!

This was the most disappointing experience I’ve had at a resort. My boyfriend and I are two of the most laid back individuals, so the fact we were this frustrated and disgusted by our experience says something. From the moment we checked in, we were met by unfriendly staff that always seemed to be inconvenienced to help you. We arrived and were told reservations for the restaurants were “encouraged”, however the reservation desk was closed for the day and we could try to walk-in at any of the restaurants. That evening, we tried to walk-in at each of the restaurants (Mexican restaurant was closed) and were told they had no availability, meanwhile there were visibly open tables. Noted. We went to the buffet that night for dinner and to put it simply, it was disgusting. We got there within 30 mins of them opening and food that should be served hot was all cold. The next morning I went to the reservation desk to make our reservations for the week - for a 6 night stay, I was told we were only able to make up to 3 reservations - meaning we would need to eat at the buffet the remaining nights. After experiencing that the night before, we knew that was not an option for us and we made reservations off property. Breakfast - buffet is manageable if you want to eat an omelette each day. Lunch - buffet is disgusting. Not one appetizing option. Even the burgers were gross - they are boiled before and sitting in water when you go to ask for one and then quickly thrown on the grill to warm them up. To me that’s simply unacceptable. We ended up eating breakfast and lunch off property each day after our experience at both. For the restaurants- Mexico Lindo - Our server Gerald was a sweetheart and made a below average meal more enjoyable. Kyoto - very small portions, average food. L’Olio - the best food we had at the resort and still not great. Our server Umberto was amazing. He was the one server all week that anticipated our needs and never let our glass be empty. We never made it to the Aruban Seafood restaurant. It is worth noting, during each of our meals at the restaurants, there were numerous open tables. I’m not sure why getting a reservation is so difficult. Rooms are fine. However, shampoo and body wash dispensers do not work. Room lacks basic necessities such as body lotion or conditioner. Every other service member seemed to do the bare minimum - I felt like I was inconveniencing them just simply asking for a drink at the bar or a refill of water at dinner. So weird, especially with this being an all-inclusive. I understand not wanting to over-serve guests but asking for second drink at dinner and being met by an eye roll or a sigh is bizarre. The one redeeming quality of the resort is the beach, however you can get that at any of the neighboring resorts. The beach is also ruined by the broken system of “securing” beach huts/palapas. Each morning you need to be on the beach between 4am-5am if you even want a chance at securing one of these shady areas. The few memorable staff members of this resort are the gentleman that work on the beach moving chairs. Antonio, Vladimir and the rest of the crew were fantastic all week. I wish I had gotten everyone’s names so I could give them the credit and recognition they deserve. The nonsense they deal with each day of upset guests not knowing how early they need to be down to reserve a hut, to guests fighting with one another for these huts is insane. There are a few drink runners that work the beach, Nate, aka Nate the Great, was awesome. Such a friendly guy and gave some really good recommendations for our time on the island. The cherry on top of the trip was calling Room Service on our last full day. We called for fresh towels and water bottles for the room. After 45 mins, we called again being we had yet to receive them. After another 30 mins, I went downstairs to the front desk to ask a third time. Overall, it took 2 hours and 3 asks to get the towels delivered to our room, water bottles never made it. Beyond pathetic. If you’re looking for a stay on Palm Beach, I suggest looking at any of the other hotels in the area. Maybe we were spoiled by all-inclusive resorts we have stayed at in the past, but I don’t think we are unreasonable to desire a certain level of customer service and quality when booking an all-inclusive. The value just simply isn’t there at the Barceló.

We really enjoyed the resort itself. Were a bit worried about the reviews on the restaurants and food at Barcelo Aruba but we found no issues there. There was a good variety of food and it was always pipping hot. No problem reserving seats in the restaurants either. We found all staff to be amazing and friendly. The big issue for us was the loud, music every night from the bars across the street. Loud music went anywhere from 1:00 am until 3:00 am on the weekends. Ear plugs didn't work because the base actually vibrated the room. We work hard and look forward to a vacation that is both fun and relaxing. We are not exactly early birds but excessive noise late every night was just too much. We mentioned it to the front desk staff over the week on more than one occasion but they only shrugged. Said there was nothing they could do. Too bad. I would give this resort a rating of 5 if we would have been able to sleep!

We recently returned to the Barceló Aruba, and as always so very many among your wonderful staff made our visit special. It’s why we return. Listing each would be impossible (and we'd inevitably leave out someone by mistake), but we especially would like to recognize the First Club staff for helping to make our stay so incredibly enjoyable. Specifically, we would like to recognize Ivette, Marolyn, Belinda, Daniel and Armando for doing such a great job during our stay. From the point of check-in, to handling any questions or requests we had, serving delicious cocktails before dinner, all the way through to check-out (that day we all dread), each of them, in their own unique way, put the "E" into EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Thank you!! We love our Barceló family!

Stayed pool side for a couple of days. Ralph, the pool side waiter was great! Courtious, very personable and was always there when we needed him to refresh our drinks. So far, everyone I’ve met from room service, restaurant workers and casino employees have been awesome!

I have mixed feelings about this resort being it was our first trip to Aruba! Our room was updated to today's standards. That being said, housekeeping was not consistent. Some days we didn't get a bath mat or face clothes. Some days they left dirty towels or didn't restock the refrigerator. The buffet wasn't overly impressive but there were enough choices that you could find something to eat.The seafood and italian restaurants were very good and the service was outstanding. I also agree with the review about making reservations for the restaurants. We were told by the concierge that the times we wanted were not available even though we booked when we got there. When we finally did go to the seafood and italian restaurants they were more than 50-60 % empty? Makes no sense. The location is awesome and very close to anything. We had some issues with AC as we couldn't adjust to auto which meant AC ran nonstop. Asked 3 times over 4-5 hours and no one ever came to fix the issue. To me it's almost like no one cares, but everyone is super friendly. I would have given this review a 5.

My wife and I had another wonderful stay at Barcelo. The facilities are very clean and the service is second to none. Barcelo is on the beach so you can go out straight the back to the beach or the pool with a swim up bar. The sand on the beach is fine and great for laying or walking. If you are looking for nightlife you go out the front and there is plenty of restaurants, shops and clubs. We are checked in by one of the Royal Club concierges. Sandra, Veronika, Leslie & Marolyn see to it you are set up for a great stay. Our days start with our trip to breakfast at the Royal Club restaurant. On the way we are greeted by Ana who cleans our room every day. She has an awesome smile and is so friendly she seems like family. At breakfast we are taken care of by Melvin, Maria, Layla, Lissette Carolina & Karina. Every morning we are greeted by one of their friendly faces. Then it is off to the beach where the beach crew has set up the chairs and loungers. Again always giving you a friendly greeting and asking what they can do for us. We are served at the beach bar by Francesco. He goes out of his way to make sure your stay on the beach is the best. Always ready to make whatever drink you desire and always has a smile. When he is not there Omar fills in and he makes sure you are well taken care of. After the beach we go to dinner at one of the restaurants. Doesn't matter which one they all have friendly service and great food. The Italian is our favorite but my favorite meal was the fish and shrimp at the Arubian. Best fish I have ever had. We did dinner on the beach one night and was well worth the cost. Willie was the best. Made us feel like royalty and the food was great. On our anniversary we ate at the Royal Club. Joyce and Misial(?) made sure our anniversary dinner was special. Barcelo is truly a wonderful place with wonderful people who really care about what they do be it cleaning serving or preparing they are the best.

We enjoyed our stay at Barcelo, this was our first time in Aruba. The people of Aruba are wonderful. The staff work very hard here and are friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping was excellent. Beach service was awesome! We ate at the buffet most days and it was good lots of options. One night we had roasted lamb. I’m not sure why so many bad reviews. We also really enjoyed our room. The beach is beautiful. I recommend renting an umbrella so you don’t have to get up at 5am for shaded spot.

We had lunch and dinner at the Royal Restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was amazing. Joyce and George were very friendly and treated us like royalty. I highly recommend dropping by for a great dinner and excellent service. We loved our vacation and will be back.

We received fabulous service at Kyoto with Lenora. She was attentive and ensured our meal arrived quickly and the our cups were constantly refilled. The spring rolls were awesome and the chai capsun was so filling. Highly recommend to go to this restaurant.

We were originally in a room that had a broken toilet seat, soap dispensers broke off immediately, tv and a/c barely worked and room was extremely noisy (we were on 4th floor of building 2). Besides the blaring music from outside and the rattling fan, there were people blasting music and screaming in our hallway all night. We complained the next day and were able to be moved to the other tower where it was supposedly quieter. Also, we tried to get dinner reservations when we arrive but couldn't get any restaurants or times we wanted. It was suggested that we try walk-in but were never able to be seated. Our new room also had broken soap dispensers and garbage on the bathroom counter. Our shower wouldn't drain and we had to ask three times before it was fixed. The furniture was broken as well. We were only allowed to have one pool towel at a time and it was impossible to get a chair in the shade. Pool bathrooms were always dirty. Buffet was adequate. Would not stay here again.

On the flight to Aruba my husband and I were discussing how many times we have traveled to Aruba. We were amazed when we realized we have been to Aruba 17 times over the past 14 years. Every time we go, we stay at Barcelo Aruba. We love Aruba because the people are friendly, the weather is consistently beautiful and we feel very safe. We choose to return to Barcelo Aruba time and time again because we love the place! Upon arrival, we are greeted as if we are family. Sandra, Veronica, and Liza in the Royal Club concierge’s office do everything they can to ensure that our vacation is the best ever! Our first night we always enjoy dinner in the Royal Club restaurant. We are greeted with smiles and hugs. For breakfast, lunch, or dinner, George, Joyce, Jaimie, Melvin, Claudia, Karina, and Misael make the Royal Club dining experience so very special. Please do yourself a favor and try the lobster risotto at the Royal Club restaurant, it’s amazing! After a lovely breakfast at the Royal Club restaurant or the Palm Buffet it’s time to hit the beach. A new addition to the beach staff, Vladimir, will greet you with a smile and help you set up loungers so you can enjoy a relaxing day at one of the best beaches in the world (my opinion). Ralph will come by and make sure you stay hydrated with one of Francisco’s or Omar’s amazing cocktails. Besides the Royal Club, there are four other specialty restaurants. Kyoto has two separate menus, teppanyaki and sushi/Japanese food. Myrna will greet you and seat you with a smile. Boi is the best hibachi chef out there. It’s definitely dinner and a show! The other part of the restaurant has delicious Japanese dishes and sushi served by Leonora, Jaxon and others. It’s a dining experience to remember. Living in NY with a plethora of amazing Italian restaurants, we were skeptical about L’Olio the first time we stayed at Barcelo. I can honestly say that the restaurant’s decor and food can rival a restaurant located in Little Italy. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfasts and lunches at the Palm Buffet. The only thing that can be a bit of a challenge is getting chairs by the pool. On the days that we want to go to the pool, I get up early, secure our spot and then enjoy the peace and quiet with a good book and a cup of coffee. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that our room was beautiful with a view of the pool and the ocean. Ana kept our room immaculate. Ana also taught me a new word in Papamiento every time I saw her. She is kind, helpful and hard working! We are only back home for a couple of weeks and are currently looking to plan our 18th trip.

My Wife and I went to Barcelo Aruba 2 Weeks ago for the first time and had a great time! The food was very good! If you're into gambling, there is a Casino onsite and there is always something to do at nighttime. There are a bunch of shops and Bars outside of the Hotel ( Aruba is very safe to walk around and the locals are very friendly ).If you want to stay inside the Hotel, the main lobby bar is a great place to hang out with live music and there's always a show in the main ballroom at 9pm. I'm in the service Industry ( Chef ) so I have to list and give a shout out to all of the following staff people who provided us with great service: At the Swimup Bar- Omar, Caesar, Victor, Roddy and Argenis Pool Waiters- Ralph and Nate"The Great " (and he was! ) At the Lobby Bar- Hendrick ( He makes a mean Espresso Martini!) Lobby Bar Waiter -Jose Lobby Bar Waitress- Vanessa Aruba Seafood Restaurant- Michael and Jozeph all the Wait staff at the Buffet Restaurant as well as the Italian Restaurant! One thing to be aware of when you come to Barcelo Aruba is you have to get up early and I mean 5:00am early in order to get a chair by the Pool ( Pool chairs are all gone by 6:00-15am) I got down by the Pool at 5:00am every morning so it felt like a job! And you have to sit at the chair until 6:00am otherwise the Security Gaurds will remove your stuff. I thank others who posted about the Pool chair issue on Trip Advisor so I was prepared! Also I suggest you bring your own Yeti/Travel Tumbler Mug that you can bring to the Swimup Bar to get filled otherwise you will get drinks in a glorified Dixie Cup! Again, thanks to others who posted about this on Trip Advisor! My Wife and I were very happy with our stay at Barcelo Aruba and we will defintely be coming back next year!

Melvin, Jaime, Karina and Lissette were outstanding in the 9th floor Royal restaurant!! The food was amazing and freshly made and always served with a smile, whether it was for breakfast, lunch or dinner!!! We will miss this amazing place!!

BEST VACATION MUST GO ROYAL LEVEL !!! We went to celebrate our anniversary with another couple and I can not express how wonderful of a time we had . This location is perfect and the staff and facilities were amazing ! The Royal restaurant is superb and the staff is nothing short of spectacular . HUGE thank you to Marisel ( our favorite diner waiter / for our amazing lobster night !!) he was just excellent and truly a good sport while we feasted and had the best dinner of our lives . The food is absolutely delicious so thank you to all of the cooks !! Jamie ( knew my breakfast order without me asking ) , Maria ( absolutely the sweetest person ) , and Melvin ( our cool host who is super funny ) were our breakfast and lunch staff and they were truly a pleasure . Always up for a laugh and felt like they were a part of our personal party ! Royal stands for royalty because that’s how we felt this entire trip . The beach is perfect ! The drinks are great ! The hotel is beautiful ! Plenty to do in the hotel and right across the street you can go dancing or shop. So much fun!! So safe !! Just an ideal place to relax and have the a great time . Huge thank you to Leyla and staff in concierge for being so amazing and for our strawberries and champagne !! The cleaning staff is so delightful, they do such a wonderful job and are very responsive if you need anything at all. The room is very spacious and just as nice as the pictures . The view from the balcony is WOW ! The Royal bar on the beach is just perfect ! We were not sure what to expect on this trip being our first time in Aruba and given the cost but it far exceeded our expectations !! We highly recommend the Barcelo and can’t wait to be able to return one day ! Tips : book your dining reservations before you go if you can and be at the beach by 7:30 to get good seats ( you can leave your stuff there and it is safe as can be .. you can leave stuff for about 2 hours then chairs can be taken ) Be sure to bring cash to tip the amazing staff . Fun fact : the sand is never hot !!

This was our first experience with Royal Level and we were certainly pleased. Our last visit the service was spotty, but the service with Royal was exceptional. The response to any request was almost immediate. Towels were dropped off in the evening daily. We ate at Royal Level numerous times. It is small so not alot of tables making the service very attentive. I had the beef tenderloin 3 times, ,delicious and my spouse and friends loved the lobster cream soup. Now, be aware it is not a rushed experience and it takes a little time for the food. For breakfast they have a small buffet but also made to order from the menu. You register on the ninth floor and they make your dinner reservations right then and there. We also got alot of attention from the servers that tended to the beverage service on the beach. They were always coming around As far as the rest of the resort, we love it because its small and being in our 70's we look for resorts with limited walking. The beach was superb although the last day there was much more seaweed than we have ever seen and its our 4th trip to this resort. There are a couple of issues to mention, The food temp at the buffet was just ok, we use the pasta station frequently along with the egg station, Our biggest issue happened at the beach. I am used to getting up at 545 to try and get shade, the issue is that in previous years they had regular beach chairs along with the loungers. This year they were basically non existent, The chair guys, who are great btw, said they have been asking for them and the hotel has not purchased then. Getting out of loungers at our age is a chore. We ending up going to Art's right on the beach and renting them for $5 a day, We love Barcelo because it fits our needs and we look forward to returning

First off we came here for our honeymoon, big mistake!! We arrived and they put us in a room with two beds. I went and told the front desk that we wanted a one bed and she told me “you cannot book specific bed types” after I showed her a picture of the room we booked. She proceeded to go ask if there was a one bed available and we finally got a one bed “ocean view”. Waste of money booking the “ocean view”. The room, let’s just say it was a huge disappointment. The walls, broken mini fridge and everything looked dirty and dingy. The ice bucket lid broke the first time I used it, the stopper in the sink was not even attached, the bed frame broken, outdoor table and one of the chairs broken. Let’s not forget about the ants around the coffee pot and the doors looked like they haven’t been wiped down in 6 months. Oh, and our shower did not even drain. We got to take showers in standing water… I addressed this multiple times to the front desk and nothing was fixed. You have to fight to keep clean towels in your room, so use them sparingly! On the topic of towels the pool towels are very low quality and watch out because they are constantly out of pool towels (so keep dirty ones to reuse). Now onto the food, or can I even say food. The buffet was honestly nasty and we ended up eating out more than eating the food at the resort. For example, They had cold “fajitas” which tasted like they were left over from the Mexican restaurant from the day before and put under a heat lamp. Even if this is not the case most of, if not all of the food was cold. The only good food we had was at the hibachi restaurant! Here we actually had great service. The service here is very subpar and nothing to look forward too. The best times we had were on the excursions and simply laying on the beach. Other than everything explained above this resort is in a great location!! Just don’t come here, there are better options near by. A honeymoon redo is definitely on the books.

Arubian Seafood We had dinner at the Arabian Seafood Restaurant for dinner. Food was excellent. Our waitress was Maria Hazel! She was fantastic! She helped us in our menu choices. She was excellent waiting on our party of 6. We highly recommend going to the Arubian and ask for Maria Hazel!

One of our favorite vacation spots! The Royal Club is the way to go for rooms, dining, and beach bar access, but the private First Club bar is great for happy hour and night caps. Daniel makes delicious dirty martinis and is so personable and entertaining. Highly recommend!

We truly loved the Barcelo and most of the staff. We did experience some hiccups.. the last three days we did not have any washcloths and when we asked for them, we were told they were coming that afternoon, but they never came. We also asked for water for our room and was told we could only get two bottles per room when I confirm that with the reception desk she said that was not true and was going to send four bottles of water up to our room, but they never arrived.. other than those small couple of hiccups. Everything was great. We ate in the private dining room and Melvin Lissette, Maria, Carolina, Karina, and Jaime we’re wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious in the private dining room on the Royal level. We also ate hibachi in the restaurant, Kyoto, and that was equally wonderful. We would definitely return back to the Barcelo

The Royal Restaurant never disappoints. Great food and even amazing service. The Matre D George and staff will give you the Royal service. Ederlina and Misael (makes the best cocktails) go above and beyond. They made us feel like Royalty. Thank you for an amazing Vacation. We Love Barcelo Aruba !

BARCELÓ ARUBA PUT IN SOME MORE PALAPAS PLEASE. First club room was probably the best room I’ve stayed in within the last 15 years one bedroom two bathrooms suite was perfect my bathroom her bathroom no delays on getting to reservations for dinner. Didn’t make any shows so can’t say anything on that. The walk across the street to shop and eat and see some really cool stuff is up there as well. Always a taxi in the driveway awesome to see. WELL DONE BARCELÓ

The worst all inclusive hotel I’ve stayed at. My gf and I opted for the Royal Level service (whatever that is, honestly. Completely not worth it.) We stayed a total of 4 nights. The first two nights were spent in a hot room- AC unit was broken. We spoke with the front desk over 8 times, spoke with three different maintenance teams, and they all gave us nonsense (one maintenance gentleman mentioned someone would come over the next day to fix it. So we had to deal with a broken AC unit. The next day came, another maintenance gentleman comes and says he’ll be back in 20min… never shows up). Not once did any employee offer to move us. I finally ask for a manager and we’re eventually moved. The new room has great AC, but now faces the area with the loudest music. So the first half of our trip is spent with little to no AC, and the other half spent trying to shut out the noise. At checkout, the receptionist makes no mention of a refund. I ask for the manager (as he said he would offer a one day refund). I haven’t received a refund and I checked out. The 1 star stays until then. Proceed to book at this location if you wish :) Update: Barcelo now apparently wants me to remove the 1 star before submitting the refund. This is precisely the customer service Barcelo has to offer. A customer has a terrible experience, requests a refund, but only if the customer removes their honest feedback shall they get a refund? What type of policy and business is Barcelo running? Barcelo has now lost a customer forever, and will make sure my network does not stay at any of their locations.

Mary Jean and Edmund were excellent servers. They were super quick and attentive. They interacted with all of the customers and got to know everyone on a personal level. I would definitely dine here again and I hope we get them again. They were awesome.
