What made our experience the most memorable was the staff. They made sure we felt like we were home. Start from the resort host, Muby to the kitchen staff to room service, everyone was so accomodating. A special shout out goes to Prasad, Brandy, Rashmika, Sajith, Retheesh and Chamara for looking after us and going over and above to making sure our stay was one for the books. Really great service the team at the restaurants were always super friendly and would custom make us gluten free foods for all meals, they were beyond helpful. Sajith the chef always had a big smile and would be the first to help us with anything - and the waiters soban & vineet were always happy to help with a smile. This resort is perfect to relax as the rooms are massive, the restaurants and amenities are great too. The only downside was there wasn’t as much snorkelling as we expected and only on designated areas because swimming off your villa is prohibited due to currents. But overall a really high quality experience and great staff.

The staff made our stay amazing!! The location wasabsolutely beautiful. We booked 6 nights with the classic all inclusive package. The package we booked included the floating breakfast and a couples massage. Our room was the sunrise view and it was perfect. The snorkeling was amazing right off our patio and we loved the private pool. The couples massage was fantastic and so relaxing! The floating breakfast was perfect and so much food! All in all, the staff makes this place prefect! Our island host Lokendra helped us with anything we could possibly need and was so kind. Room: Our room was beautiful, the beds incredibly comfortable, our housekeeper and the one who refilled the minibar were always so kind and attentive. My husband wanted to bring the rainfall shower home with us!! The snorkeling was amazing off of our room, we snorkeled inside of the circle of rooms and so many beautiful, fish, moray eels, a stingray and all sorts of other coral and sea creatures! You can get the snorkeling gear at the beginning of your trip and turn it in when you leave. It was all in great condition. Food: Raha: We ate breakfast at Raha (buffet) everyday. It was incredible. They had every kind of food you could possibly want and of every ethnicity. The first day I lingered by the Indian food and chef Suresh came and spoke to me. Every meal we ate there after that Suresh made sure I was taken care of. He made special Indian breakfasts and made recommendations for dinner. His food was incredible!! We get incredible and authentic Indian food where we live but Suresh had it beat! If you see Suresh please tell him Cynthia says hello. The soup/ramen was unbelievable. You would not think to eat it when it is so hot outside, but don’t miss out. Suresh recommended we try it and he had Soukaina make me what she pleased. It was amazing! Soukaina was so kind and made the best soup combinations. Do not miss out on the incredible soup and meeting Soukaina!! We tried Raha for lunch one day, it is a very very paired down buffet from breakfast and dinner, I would recommend eating somewhere else if you eat lunch. Caruso’s: Everyday except one we ate so much for breakfast we did not eat lunch. We ate once at Caruso’s and it was good, just so hot outside. Alifaan: We ate dinner at Alifaan once and honestly it was good, the service was excellent, but we did not find it worth the money. Raha was better. Lobster BBQ: $235 before 10% plus 16% It was not worth it. Again, the staff was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect, they had us on the beach at a private table with beautiful lights. The appetizers, sushi and dessert were good but the main dish was very overcooked. The mussels, tuna and chicken were inedible they were so overcooked. The lobster and shrimp were overcooked but our steak was cooked perfectly. It was sooooo much food! We brought all the proteins back to our room but other than the steak we just couldn’t eat it. Did we tell the chef that night? No because they were all so incredibly kind and so happy to serve us. We did tell Lokendra (island host) the next day and at end of trip and he said he would share the information with the kitchen. Again, so much food, no way to heat it up the next day and grossly overcooked. Not worth it to us for the price. Eats and Beats: We only ate there for snacks between 4p-6p since we skipped lunch. 5 or 6 things on snack menu and they were ok however it was the perfect place to watch the sunset. This was the only place we found it hard to get good service. We had problems getting refills, finding servers to order and to check out. We did not eat at the Japanese restaurant. Other staff that were amazing was Vineet and Soban. Vineet always welcomed us with the most beautiful smile and remembered which was our favorite table and Soban also was always so kind and attentive, all making sure we were taken care of. When I say the staff go out of their way to meet your needs they absolutely do! I fell in love with the cold tea they give you on arrival. When I asked how they made it they called the staff member that makes it to meet me so he could explain it to me. Hands down the staff makes this beautiful resort exceptional!!

Everyone nice and the place is awesome. Great food and definitely a place to chill and be relax. The overwater villas are amazing, everything clean. The water is super clear, the laguna is like blue sky. Oybek was our host and he is very friendly and helpful.

Our island host Ziyazan was very attentive and arranged our adventures for us and did so very quickly. He always replied fast even at night time. We wish we didn’t have to leave!

Looking for whalesharks and Mantas early March the west side of the South Ari Atoll is one of the best options to have a chance to see these magnificent animals. We finally chose Radisson Blu for our 16 nights stay and we were not disappointed. When comparing to other resorts in the neighborhood we loved the water villas which certainly must be one of the largest in the Maldives ( 220m2 including outdoor space ). A large pool and deck, bedroom and bathroom both with beautiful sea views in modern minimalistic design. Everything was working fine, on the deck no sound of air conditioners and an unobstructed sunset view into the gentle surf of the Indian Ocean. Room size, location and quality of materials and finishing: a 10/10. We had opted for the Premium AI plan, substantially more expensive than the Classic AI plan. It is important to understand the difference of these AI plans which are not well explained neither on Radisson website nor by most of the travel operators. Fortunately when I asked the hotel directly to explain the difference I got a quick response with all the details. Beverages: both plans included alcoholic beverages, a very limited wine list per glass with about 25 wines (including 4 sparkling wines) for Premium and half of that for Classic. Premium includes alcoholic drinks in Mini bar including bottles of Whisky, Vodka, Gin and rum which we didn’t use next to half bottle of red and white wine and Prosecco. In addition the Premium plan includes fine dining with Alifaan restaurant (a la carte, no restrictions) and Kabuki Japanese restaurant (restricted to the family set menu). Classic AI offers a meal credit of USD 65++ when using fine dining. A romantic theme night dinner and a wine tasting are also included in the Premium plan. We only opted for the Wine tasting. A very knowledgeable sommelier took us through the journey of wine making and wine tasting. It was very professionally organized and a lovely experience. The buffet restaurant Raha has an excellent selection of international dishes and life cooking station with changing main options every day. Eats and Beats ( basic a la carte ) and Raha are included in Classic AI. At the price point of Premium AI I would have expected to have some champagnes and Kabuki a la carte options to be included in AI which unfortunately wasn’t the case. In hindsight the Classic AI menu seems to offer best value for money and would be our option when we come back next time. All restaurants have fantastic locations and are either located above water (Kabuki, Alifaan and Raha) or next to pool and beach as Eats and Beats and Crusoes. During dinner and evening time we enjoyed acoustic life music in Mahurab bar and Alifaan restaurant. The Philippine duo played a very extensive repertoire of evergreens and today’s hits. It was the staff, and in particular everyone working in and around the restaurants which made a huge difference and set this resort apart. It is our 8th visit in the Maldives and hospitality and quality of service was always second to none in the Maldives. The staff with Radisson does compare to the best and beyond. I could name many names of staff who have made our vacation with Radisson very special: but let me call out one: chef Prasad from Sri Lanka with Alifaan restaurant: not only was he seriously interested in my diving adventures but likewise he was keen to let us explore local Cuisine from Sri Lanka, India and the Maldives and so he did, cooking local specialties for us. More surprisingly he was asking us for our favorite dishes and so we got Sashimi, Korean Kimchi and others ( not on the menu ) - a truly nice and personal experience which we loved. In addition staff was not only friendly but also open for feedback. Once in a while a dish might not be cooked to our liking: no problem: meet the chef and discuss about cooking techniques and details and you get your dish exactly in the way you want it. Likewise you might miss some items on the buffet: no problem: if possible you will get it. “The answer no does not exist….. yes we can” best describes the service attitude with Radisson Blu Maldives. Dining Experience: 10/10 The activities and diving center OCEAN was very professional and customer oriented as well. My experience was limited to diving about every day; luckily having various Manta encounters, one whale shark sighting ( a shadow in a distance unfortunately ), turtles, eels, reef fish and a lot of grey reef sharks, some white tips, nurse sharks and occasional a silver tip. Loved diving with the Ocean Team. 😎. 8/10 Snorkeling/ house reef: Unfortunately Huruelhi Radisson does not have a house reef. Snorkeling is indicated to be done within the lagoon ( front of Eats and Beats, and front of Crusoe ). There is very little limited living corals, some fish soup, reef fish, black tip reef sharks and one nurse shark around the restaurants Raha/ Alifaan, and a lot of squid around the harbor area. Snorkel/ reef experience: 2/10 Beauty of island and beaches: the island was manmade. In that sense it seems to be a miracle that all the palm trees, flowers, bushes and more had been individually planted and give a pretty green and lush island feeling. Nevertheless the beaches and the natural beauty of the island does not compare to natural islands which we have experienced during prior Maldives visits such as Hideaway or Amilla as example. Natural beauty of island: 6/ 10. Compared to the resorts we have visited before Radisson comes in as a strong second according to my wife ( third in my opinion): 1. Deceptive pricing & untrustworthy reservation team – Avoid this place! I had a terrible experience with the reservation team, which led me to cancel my booking out of frustration and distrust. The resort ruined my experience before it even began. On February 17th, I inquired about the transfer rates and was told it was USD 495 per adult (round trip). Then, on February 19th, I was offered a Sunset Villa with a Swimming Pool, which explicitly stated a 50% discount on the transfer. I booked the reservation based on this offer. However, when I reconfirmed with the reservation team, they suddenly claimed that the original rate they gave me already included the 50% discount, even though this was never mentioned earlier. How does that even make sense? If the discount was already applied, they should have clearly stated it upfront. Plus, at the time of my initial inquiry, they had no idea which room I would book—so how could they claim it was already discounted? Despite repeated explanations, they refused to acknowledge the issue, making me feel like I was being deceived. It wasn’t about the money—the stay was already expensive, and I wouldn’t have minded paying extra if they had been honest. It was about the dishonesty and lack of transparency. Fearing further hidden charges and misleading tactics, I canceled my reservation. If they were this deceptive before my arrival, I couldn’t trust them to handle my stay fairly. Thankfully, I chose another resort, and my experience there was flawless. There are plenty of better options—do your research and avoid this place!

Disappointing Airport Service, Not Worthy of a Five-Star Resort Our stay at Radisson Blu Maldives had its positives—the resort itself was beautiful, the food was excellent, and our island host was very helpful. However, the service at the airport and during our seaplane transfer was extremely disappointing and not at all reflective of a five-star experience. Upon arrival in Malé, we followed the instructions given by our hotel reception regarding seaplane check-in. However, despite walking around the international terminal for 30 minutes, we did not find any hotel representative. After calling the Radisson Blu reception, we were told to go to Counter 5, where no one was present. A staff member arrived after a few minutes but was rude, unwelcoming, and repeatedly mispronounced my name. She seemed rushed and inattentive while handling our luggage tags, making us feel unimportant as guests. Once at the seaplane terminal, no one from the hotel was there to receive us. Unlike other resorts, such as Conrad, which had representatives taking care of their guests, we were left to navigate the process ourselves. Upon arrival at the resort, things improved significantly—our island host was welcoming, and the overall stay was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the same poor service repeated on our departure day. Again, there was no representative from Radisson Blu to assist us at the seaplane terminal or at the international airport. We had to rely on someone from another company to help us with our luggage, which was unacceptable for a resort of this standard. While the resort itself was lovely, the lack of proper airport service and the unprofessional attitude of some staff members made our overall experience disappointing. Compared to other luxury resorts, Radisson Blu fell short in delivering the level of hospitality expected at this price point. We would not recommend it to others based on this experience.

Absolutely amazing experience, where do I even start? I have travelled all over the world but Radisson Blu Resort in Maldives is the BEST. The reason is because of the staff. No matter how beautiful a place is, if the staff are not nice then it doesn't create a good atmosphere. However all the staff here are amazing, friendly, helpful. If you are asian, from the Indian Subcontinent, you will LOVE the food here. Proper authentic food with our spices, the chefs are from those countries themselves so they know how to cook those meals. The chefs will even come and ask you what they can prepare for next time and they will do exactly as you say. Never have I experienced this anywhere else. Special mention to, Sajid Talha Prasad And the Head Chef!! You guys are awesome and make this resort the best without a doubt...

We recently had a 9-nights stay at the radisson Blu, and I have stay, I am very positively surprised by the whole experience. The hotel and staff have all exceeded our expectations, from the warm welcoming tour by Oybek, to the great hospitality of the restaurant staff (shout out to Aalif, Eesh, Soban and Tshering) and even our housekeeper Najih was incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs. We were also greeted daily by our buggy driver Misbeh who knew our room number from day 2! We also had an amazing scuba instructor Jiang, who was very reassuring and showed a great understanding which made us feel super secure while diving with her. Having been to other properties in the Maldives, I think what makes this hotel truly stand out is the service and the staff, we definitely highly recommend this place. (However there was one thing which wasn't great, as we found a few dead cockroaches in our room, I don't think it's a typical thing for the Maldives and it's probably been bought in by previous guests who stayed in this room but wanted to flag that.) Nevertheless we loved the room we got upgraded to, which faces the horizon, great view!

Despite we had very high expectations, this hotel exceeded it big time. There is no any single thing during our stay that was not absolutely perfect. Butler Allu is very nice，his service is very attentive. I had a wonderful time these days. The lagoon island is breathtaking ！You must try the overwater bungalows to watch the sunset.

The overall environment is very good, and the staff service is also very good. The room is very large. The noise of the water house at night is not as loud as it is said on the Internet. The sound insulation effect when the door is closed is not bad.

The whole experience was great and excellent. Food was amazing, staff so kind, loving and very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was inviting. I will recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Maldives. The rooms are so spacious and very clean.

We did order hand cut chips from Crusoe’s hoping we would be given decent amount of fries but we were given only five fries. That was disappointing.

We arw very disappointed with our stay at this resort during our honeymoon and, based on our experience, we would not recommend booking here. - Seaplane Transfer: The seaplane transfer schedule was poorly managed. Our arrival was delayed by approximately three hours, despite being informed it would arrive within two. Communication regarding these delays was inadequate and added unnecessary stress to our travel experience. - Service and Dining: Breakfast service was particularly lacking. Staff provided little to no guidance, leaving guests to navigate the process on their own. The menu options were limited, and certain items—such as milkshakes—were inexplicably restricted to dinner service only, which is unusual for a resort of this category. - Internal Transport: The shuttle caddy service was unreliable. On at least three occasions, we requested transport to breakfast through reception, but no one arrived, and we were ultimately forced to walk. - Facilities and Responsiveness: Basic requests were also delayed; for instance, we had to ask three times before an iron was delivered to our room. There is a noticeable shortage of staff, and the facilities appear to lack ongoing investment, which is evident from their overall condition. Considering that this was the more expensive of the two resorts we stayed at during our honeymoon, our expectations were significantly higher. Unfortunately, the experience did not justify the cost, especially when compared to the exceptional service we received at the other resort. Overall, our stay here felt like a poor use of our honeymoon budget. We booked half-board but it was limited to just two out of the five restaurants. EVERYTHING was chargeable. I anticipate the hotel may offer the usual dismissive response, as was often the case during our stay. We requested a (partial) refund multiple times from the manager just so we can get out of there which got declined. We actually used to rate Raddison Blu hotels for their exceptional facilities in other locations and that was one of the reasons we booked this, a big regret!! I encourage prospective guests to consider this feedback seriously. If you value your budget, I would strongly recommend choosing a different resort rather than risking a disappointing experience.

They looked after us so well on a 3 hour boat trip swimming with mantas, turtles and a whale shark. So friendly and knowledgable, keeping you feeling safe but having such a thrilling adventure too. You can hire all equipment and cameras onsite and have cold drinks on board. A different day Ihaan took us wakeboarding and again the great skills of tuition along woth fun thrilling adventure, in very well kept modern equipment made you feel safe when having such a fun adventure in an incredible setting.
