The Amsterdam Manor is probably the finest boutique accommodation in Aruba. We may be prejudiced because this is our second trip and stay but it’s always a pleasure. The staff and food services are top notch and the location cannot be beat! In a relaxing spot away from the hustle and bustle of crowded high rise hotels…it’s peaceful and relaxing. If you want adventure and more nightlife…it’s a short bus or taxi ride to them too. Don’t hesitate to stay. The staff will make your stay memorable!

We stayed at Amsterdam Manor for a 2nd time and if we return to Aruba in the future, we will definitely stay there again. The property is charming, located just steps from Eagle Beach. Staff is so welcoming, helpful and accommodating and everyone makes you feel at home and relaxed....

We stayed at Amsterdam Manor for a 2nd time and if we return to Aruba in the future, we will definitely stay there again. The property is charming, located just steps from Eagle Beach. Staff is so welcoming, helpful and accommodating and everyone makes you feel at home and relaxed. Rooms are clean and well equipped. The resort has two restaurants, Passions on the beach and Horizons lounge. Both offer delicious meals and we have eaten there multiple times during both of our stays.

Beautiful resort on Eagle Beach. Very clean! Great pool bar/restaurant and wonderful beach restaurant Passion’s on the Beach that serves Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Delicious food. But the resort is centrally located and very nice. Can’t say enough about how clean they keep everything. Kitchenette in rooms. Would highly recommend!

Just returned from a week at Amsterdam manor aruba. Had a wonderful stay. From the moment we stepped into the office to check in we knew it was going to be a great vacation. The staff were very helpful. Our room was immaculate and had plenty of towels/ beach towels....

Just returned from a week at Amsterdam manor aruba. Had a wonderful stay. From the moment we stepped into the office to check in we knew it was going to be a great vacation. The staff were very helpful. Our room was immaculate and had plenty of towels/ beach towels. The bed so comfortable. We loved Horizons--enjoyed the drinks and bartenders were great. Beach is a short walk(2 min) from the room. We will definitely visit again. Great time!!

This is a really nice, quiet, small hotel on the beach. The beach is not crowded, they have a great bar and restaraunt on the beach, the rooms are big, and really nice (we upgraded to a 1 bedroom). If you want to avoid the big crowds on Palm beach...

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here with a 4-night/5-day stay. The property, food, and hospitality were all 5-star! We let the property know that we were celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary, in advance of our stay, and they surprised us with delights from the moment we arrived. This really made us feel welcome and celebrated from the start. Our room was pristine and spacious. I highly recommend suite "L1" as it has a soaking tub and dual showers in the bathroom, a separate living space with a kitchen, and a large bedroom. Housekeeping ensured that everything was spotless, even as we tracked sand into our room (unavoidable), replenished our guest towels and amenities daily, and remade our beds with fresh linens daily. The property is BEAUTIFUL! It is located on Eagle Beach, the longest stretch of white sands and turquoise waters, and has a beautiful pool we took daily dips in. Although it's entitled "Amsterdam Manor," the architecture reminds me of a Spanish hacienda-- so lovely. The food served here is scrumptious! If you visit, you MUST dine at "Passion on The Beach. It's a highly sought-after restaurant that offers tables on the beach so you can dine at a table on the beach! We enjoyed breakfast AND dinner here, as well as snacks/drinks at their bar. Be sure to have drinks and light bites at the bar above the pool area as well! We will be back. We couldn't have asked for a more spectacular stay!

This hotel isn’t the problem . The reason for the 1 review is the sheer number of tourists coming onto the island every day from Cruise Ships . They buy a day pass which gives them a band to resort of choosing and then they can eat , drink, use facilities and beach. This adds thousands onto the beautiful. The beach is beautiful but it’s small and the island is short with nice sand on only the East side . The other is Rocky . We had younger people fighting with us (60’s ) because they said we took their chairs on beach and spot . It was a horrible experience and our beach staff quit took them away. Then when cruisers land, forget even seeing the sand. No spots We were sitting under a parasol and 10 Spanish speaking people of one group, landed in front of us. And I truly mean right in front of our feet. One lady came over with her chair and plopped it down right next to my armrest, as though in our party . Oh you don’t mind do you? Was I supposed to have a fight over beach spots ? We came to Aruba 4 times because we loved it but after 2018 it’s become crowded, loud, rowdy, and uncomfortable place to have vacation

I feel like we stumbled upon a gem! This was the perfect home away from home during our 5 night stay in paradise. Service was great, housekeeping included. The welcome drink at check in is perfect! Rooms are updated. The kitchenette was perfect and well stocked. Large grocery store is within walking distance. We didn’t rent a car, and never felt the need for it. The front desk can order a taxi for you when you want to explore. The beach is just steps away, with huge palapas, lounge chairs, and additional umbrellas for hotel guests. The pool is on the small side, but perfect for a dip after a day at the beach. The only complaint we would have would be service at the Horizons lounge. This was hit or miss, depending on the crowd and bartender. We also think the hotel should consider having beach attendants to take drink and food orders every day. We only encountered someone doing this on one of the days we were there, but I think they could make a lot of money if this was a regular service.

Wedding (reception at Passions) October 12th, 2024 I sooooooo wish we had stayed here longer!!! The charm of this resort was just off the charts. Staff was super friendly/attentive and I cannot remember all their names but will tell you that Hannah is a GEM and you can t100% ell she loves what she does. She has been my point of contact since we decided more than a year ago that AMBR was the place we wanted to hold the wedding and reception for our daughter. Hannah, hospitality supervisor, was responsive and friendly from day one. I am a planner down to every last detail and she did not disappoint! She was amazing. Ditto for Luz who was responsible for coordinating everything for the wedding reception at Passions. Talk about patience galore - Luz has it. She had to balance corresponding with me about the Reception logistics and also worked very closely with the mother of the groom to bring together a beautifully perfect rehearsal dinner at Mango's (underneath Horizon's lounge there at AMBR) which was essentially a day-before-the-wedding mini rehearsal dinner for ALL of the wedding guests. It was just perfect. The food, service, ambiance were beyond perfection for this particular event. Juilio and Jennifer at the front desk, plus Billy (?) who assisted with the bags were friendly and attentive at all times to all guests. Our deluxe 2 bedroom suite was spacious & perfectly appointed and I loved that we could see Horizon's lounge, the Resort grounds and the Ocean right from our spacious balcony. Bed and pillows were comfy. The minimalist yet tasteful artwork and furnishings made it feel homey. The only thing that didn't quite work due to angles of the ceilings were that when standing up next to bed/nightstands on either side of the bed, no matter your height, you will hit head on the lights that hang from the ceiling. Those same angles meant that if you have long formal garments to hang, the closet rack is not high enough to keep the garments from dragging on the floor. So we just hung stuff on back of bathroom door. For anyone who is doing their research on this resort, please do NOT be discouraged by reading about "odors from the nearby sewer plant". I had concerns too, but I did a TON of research and digging and the government was sued by AMBR because the resort was losing business due to the issue and several months ago, AMBR won the suit and as a result, within only the last month or two, new aerators were put in to mitigate the issue as a temporary fix until a new system/process is put into place to address the issue once and for all. That said, when it rains and/or depending on direction of the wind, you MAY catch a whiff but everyone in our group that I spoke with said it was so minor that it was not enough to bother them. 90% of our wedding guests stayed at Amsterdam Manor vs staying elsewhere. I plan to return to AMBR for sure and have learned that Horizon's lounge is being expanded - YAY! And Mango's underneath it will be enclosed to become a fitness center which is a great thing to have! I am sad we did not have enough time to enjoy any evenings there at Horizon's. Our schedule was just jam packed. On the last night we were there, we went to get a drink at 10:45PM so all patrons had already left and staff were getting ready to close up shop so we were by ourselves. But it was so pretty! Looking down over the pool (which we also did not have time to use) - I just cannot wait to go back again. To the Owner/Manager, Hannah, Luz, Julio, Junior, Jennifer and all who helped make our event and visit so great, thank you SOOOO very much. I have one recommendation to make because your resort is so perfect for a wedding...consider modifying or adding an area somewhere that can be transformed into a bridal suite where bridal party can get ready. We were fortunate that the groom's parents booked S1 Penthouse so that the hair and makeup ladies along with all of the bridesmaids plus the bride had space to do their thing, but had we not had that space, we would have been in a pickle I think. These huge chain hotels have nothing on Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort for a beautiful wedding as far as I'm concerned, but having space for bride and groom and wedding party at AMBR to get ready together would be a worthy investment in my opinion. I love this place. We have been coming for the last several years. The staff is wonderful. The view and beach cannot be beat. Our 1 bedroom suite was immaculate. Eagle beach is phenomenal. We most certainly will be back next year. Amsterdam Manor cannot be beat. I highly recommend it.

It was really nice and clean. Nice food at the restaurant, nice beaches, very convenient area. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended and price was also quite affordable. Near to the airport and nice cocktails.

Julio greeted us with a smile our room wasn't ready upon arrival, but he gave us drinks and showed us where we could eat while we wait for our room! Billy surprised my husband with Champane and ballons for his birthday Billy also brought our bags to our room for us. Jr was helpful with scheduling our excursions for us. Giavonni is a bar tender at Passions on the beach restaurant he was very kind and helpful with the drink menu. Aruba is defiantly one happy island the people are so friendly.

I am so glad we trusted Expedia's 9.6 rating of Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort. It had exactly the right vibe that we were going for. It was not too crowded, much quieter than the larger resorts in the area, and on a beautiful stretch of beach. Check-in was quick, and Julio was able to get us into a room earlier than we expected. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite, which was more than enough room for just the two of us. The only thing we didn't love was that our view from the front was of a wall just to the side of the pool. Otherwise, the room was clean and spacious. The walk-in shower is large, and there's plenty of bathroom counter space. The beach is gorgeous, clean, and has plenty of seating with umbrellas. You do need to get out there early to claim a spot, because they fill up fast. Unfortunately, some folks claim chairs and an umbrella, and then don't show up until much later in the day. There's also a walking path along the road, and the Arubus stops right in front of the resort. The bus was super convenient to take to Oranjestad, or in the other direction towards the north end of the island. One thing we really enjoyed was the Manager's welcome on Thursday by the pool bar during happy hour. It was nice to chat with some of the hotel staff, while they served light snacks. There is a restaurant that is part of the property on the beach. We dined at Passions for breakfast and lunch. It was very convenient. I would say the breakfast and lunch menus are pretty typical, and the food was decent. I would definitely stay at Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort again. We went to check out the Ritz Carlton and Marriott, and were not impressed. The Ritz is also on a nice stretch of beach, but their beach chairs are set up 9 deep. I would hate to be the ones sitting in the 9th set of chairs. The hotels were also much busier, more crowded, and impersonal compared to Amsterdam Manor Beach.

This was our 20th of year staying at Amsterdam Manor with the same couple. We look forward to spending several weeks in February each year, avoiding cold weather and renewing friendships. Over the years we have seen many returning families from all parts of the world. It always feels as if we are returning to our Aruba "home". The staff, rooms, pool, and beach are all excellent. The staff go out of their way to ensure our satisfaction. We're already booked for next year!

Amsterdam Manor is a quaint resort steps from Eagle Beach. Would’ve given 5 star rating except for the overbearing smell of sewage coming from the nearby sewage treatment plant. Throughout the day it would sometimes get so bad we had to go inside. Almost no one sits at the pool due to the smell. The beach is outstanding and it’s easy to get a palapa with chaises already set up. No need to hunt down a beach attendant to get you a chair. Not quite sure what the 10% resort fee gets us because it appears non guests can use Amsterdam Manors chairs and floats. Restaurant service is hit or miss. Food is acceptable. Not sure about the managers welcome party on Thursdays. We went to the first one. Didn’t see any mangers and couldn’t find the free appetizers. Probably won’t return here unless the government mitigates the sewage problem. Unfortunately, Amsterdam Manor is so close to it. The other resorts and the beaches catch a whiff occasionally but not nearly as severe as Amsterdam Manor

Our stay at Amsterdam Manor was fantastic! This was our first trip to Aruba, and we were pretty sure we wanted to stay in the "low rise" hotel area. AM is the northern most resort on Eagle Beach in the low rise area. This makes getting to the "high rise" hotel area easier if you want to go up there among the action which we did a few times for dinner and shopping. It's maybe a half hour walk or you could use the readily available electric scooters or bikes. It's also a very short walk (less than 10 minutes) to Super Foods, a large grocery store that offers everything you might need including alcohol, health and beauty items, and prepared food --a huge convenience! Eagle Beach is public as are all the beaches in Aruba. As a guest at AM, you have free use of the palapas, chairs, and umbrellas. The beach attendants recognized the AM's beach towels and the guest wristbands (which are also conveniently your room key --no key cards to lose or misplace!). As at any Caribbean resort, it pays to get up early to claim your spot though. They do go quickly. Passions on the Beach, one of AM's restaurants, serves breakfast and lunch during the day and the bar is open all day as well. (Be sure to make reservations for dinner there! It's a fantastic experience but they book up quickly.). Our room was a Superior Studio, and it was perfect! It looked exactly like the photos on AM's website and was ample space for the two of use during our stay. The little seating area on the terrace in front of our door was a bit tight, but we never sat there anyway, preferring to be on the beach. The bathroom was lovely, very updated and included a hair dryer and a light up cosmetics mirror. The shampoo and other typical hotel products are by Aruba Aloe and were great on my skin and hair. The kitchenette was by far the most well-appointed I've ever had in a smaller room in a hotel/resort. It had a two burner stove top, a microwave, a coffee maker, a toaster, a blender, and an electric kettle (as tea drinkers, we especially appreciate the kettle!). There were also plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, a few small knives, a bottle opener, and even some plastic storage containers to use. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. They really do want you to enjoy Aruba and your stay at AM. They were happy to make dinner reservations or book excursions for us. They gave us information about taxis and buses too. Someone was always stationed at the desk. We were so impressed with virtually everything at Amsterdam Manor and will absolutely book again for our next Aruba trip. There is one tiny caveat to be aware of though. AM is located near a waste water treatment plant. Occasionally when the wind blows a certain way, you will catch an unpleasant scent in the air. HOWEVER, you can't smell a thing inside your room. Outside on the grounds or at the beach, there might be a whiff here or there, but it is not constant. Literally every other thing about AM is wonderful and far outweighs this minor flaw. However, it's best you know before you get there, especially so you don't worry that there is something unclean about the beach or resort.

We spent a week at Amsterdam Manor at the end of Feb 2025. What a wonderful resort! It has a warm, cozy atmosphere with the best staff offering terrific customer service. Guests return year after year and I have seen hugs welcoming them back. This is in the low rise section and fairly quiet which I prefer. It is directly across from Eagle Beach which is beautiful! Special mention to staff members Patrick and Jennifer who helped us with anything we needed! Thank you so much! They are the icing on the cake! I would definitely come again.

Hugely disappointed. We arrived early evening and on being shown to our seafront facing room, could immediately smell a sewer type odour. The smell had permeated into the room as well so even in the suite there was no relief from it! We called our rep but by then it...

Hugely disappointed. We arrived early evening and on being shown to our seafront facing room, could immediately smell a sewer type odour. The smell had permeated into the room as well so even in the suite there was no relief from it! We called our rep but by then it was out of hours for them, so would have to ring in the morning, which we did. We walked over to the Hotels beach bar, but the smell was constant over there too! It was making both myself and my wife nauseous - it was that bad. When we first went out in the morning- the smell was still bad. Even the rep had to agree when she turned up mid morning. We left the hotel later that day and had to find another hotel down at Eagle Beach at an enormous extra cost to us. The manager said the smell was particularly bad at the moment due to a major pump problem at the sanitation plant behind the hotel. I would certainly avoid booking this hotel until the problem at the sanitation plant is fixed - which could be a long time!!!

We are Amsterdam Manor right now having a phenomenal stay as usual! This is our 9th time here if not more. Once again weather, food, wait staff, and bar tenders go above and beyond! We also had a chance to meet those who work behind the scene-Luz Coordinator of Sales, Marketing and Events as well as Xavier Coordinator of Sales and Marketing. They went out of their way to introduce themselves and ask us how they could improve our stay. Definite deserve a high five! Thank you Luz and Xavier for going above and beyond!!!!
