My husband and I are an older couple and we were here during Spring Break so it was filled with young people. We loved the vibe. Music and entertainment all day, it was full of life. We sat on the beach and we arrived after lunch and couldn't find loungers, but this wonderful employee helped us find 2 chairs. He even put the towels on the loungers (which were padded and comfortable) . The beach itself, was beautiful and swimmable as the waves weren't that high. There was no sargassum when we were there. We were given an oceanfront room with a balcony facing the ocean on the 10th floor which had a spectacular view. The room was beautiful with 2 bathroom sinks and a very comfortable king-size bed. What was strange was the coffeemaker inside the room, but nowhere to plug it in as it was a 3-prong plug and the room didn't have that type of outlet. Probably the only thing we weren't crazy about was the food, which we found flavourless, and the elevators which everyone complains about. They are slow and some don't work and hot (no air in them), but it didn't bother us that much except when too many people tried to fill up the whole elevator which made it very uncomfortable.. I would recommend this hotel for its modern beauty and to have a great time. You won't get much sleep as it's sometimes noisy at night, but again, could have been the time of year we were here. What we did not like is how everything is priced in U.S. dollars. This being a hotel in Mexico, everything should be priced in Mexican pesos and that's it. We are Canadian and didn't appreciate all the U.S. pricing. We don't carry U.S. money, so it bothered us a lot.

We have been doing an annual couples beach vacation for over 12 years. We’ve tried various resorts in various locations in Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Costs Rica. Royalton Chic was easily one of our favorites trips. The beach is gorgeous and you can take long walks in either direction. The rooms are beautiful. We did not get diamond club and I do not feel we missed out in any way. We did pay the little bit extra for an ocean view room and that was 100% worth it. The views were amazing. Concierge Cesar made sure we had special, personalized experiences. Bartender Carlos had my drink memorized. His smile and quiet kindness was a highlight in my day. Monserrat spoiled us with the detail she used in taking care of our room. We tried every restaurant there and they were all great. The buffet was really good too, and we would have been just as happy eating there! We started and ended our day at the coffee shop and the staff there were all so kind accommodating. We had a great experience and I would go back in a heartbeat.

They should change their name to Royalton Chic as this is how they treated us upon arrival and check in ! We are world travellers and nowhere we have seen such unfriendly staff to check us in ! We were 2 couples and made our reservations with them for 2 rooms and 2 couples and payment made in September 2024 . On March 4th , after long travels we reached the cancun property around 8 and were looking forward to a relaxing evening ! We were escorted to diamond members club check in ( as we are diamond club members ) To our utter astonishment , we were told by the staff on duty ( Victor ) that our booking is valid for only 1 person per room ( junior suite ) and we will have to pay extra for the 2nd person . we showed them all the booking documents , current hotel tariff rates as on date , receipts etc and that we paid the money 6 months ago . but he refused to listen , was quite impolite and said we have to pay additional . We asked for the supervisor and a lady Karen showed up who was even more rude and refused to listen and asked us to provide our credit card and they will bill the additional amount on that ! This was indeed a rude shock to us as we had already made the full payment 6 months ago and had a confirmed reservation in hand . We then asked for the manager and one Mr Alonso turned up who was equally cold and uncooperative . He said he can not do anything till we pay up the additional amount by credit card . This happened for 2 hours and no one even cared to offer a glass of water let alone offer a welcome drink . we told them that why are you harassing us for no fault of us and it was there system's fault !!! but no-one paid any attention not was there a word of apology !!! By this time we were so tired that we gave our credit card to charge the additional amount and went to our rooms . Rooms ( we had booked a junior suite ) are quite average , below expectations , common areas were stuffy with no air circulation , buffet dinner was like a jungle area with half of the counters not manned . Next day was even worse .while we were quietly enjoying our drinks , the supervisor karen turned up again and told us very rudely to come with her immediately and sign the credit card slip for the additional payment . we told her that let us finish our dinner and you already have our credit card holding . Once we have finished our dinner , we will come and sign the slip ( which still was so unfair to us ) . On this , she sent her manger Alonso who came and threatened us that if we do not sign up now , he will block entry to our rooms !!!! By this time we had become so tired , frustrated , amazed at the unhospitable attitude of a hospitality hotel that we just signed the slip . All I can say is that we were cheated , behaved with badly and it ruined our short holiday in Cancun which we have now cut off from our list ! I hope our officials will take note of this as to how badly we were treated in Cancun ar Royalton Chic even after making full payment 6 months in advance and how harassed we felt !! Good bye Mr. Royalton Chic. you can only cheat us once and shame on you and your managing staff .

Royalton Chic Cancún is an amazing resort with all that you could ask for during your stay. The rooms looked great with unbelievable ocean views. The butlers Iran and Sandra were the best they made my stay so easy. The resort did have a water issue during our stay that created an inconvenience, but they are working on a comp ad a result. The pool atmosphere was fun for all, great entertainment and conversations. The buffet is very good with a wide selection to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The bar services were great inside the resort and the swim up bars at the pool. I will definitely be returning.

Came to celebrate for my birthday with my boyfriend and this resort exceeded our expectations. The resort was clean, everyone friendly, and the food was good as well. Huge shout out to our butlers Cesar and Diego for being helpful, kind, and attentive to our needs. Also shout out to Jesse our beach butler who was so kind and provided excellent service! I would recommend this resort to anyone and look forward to coming back in the near future. We did have one small issue at the spa. We booked earlier during the week but decided to cancel the day of. We were aware of the fee we had to pay which was 40% of our total. Luis at the spa was very rude and wanted to charge an extra $50 on top of our fee which was not correct. We got it all squared away but did not appreciate his attitude towards us.

My husband and I came for a quick getaway with friends. The resort met my expectations! The resort was clean, food was good at all restaurant, but Italian and Asian restaurants were amazing!! Oh and not to forget the coffee shop, which had the best coffee!! The staff was super friendly across the resort and the beach is just incredible! Our room was beautiful and spacious overlooking the lagoon. We had an issue with the lights in our room, but it was quickly resolved by the tech! We also enjoyed the bar on the 3rd floor with the entertainment! Our favourite part was the pool/beach area. We didn’t have any issues with getting chairs. Our beach servers Carlos and Kuri were amazing and made our days wonderful! They didn't skip a beat ensuring we were looked after! I would definitely go back!

We went to this hotel the last week of February. 3 couples and I can say that everyone of us had an amazing time. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. But what made our vacation wonderful was our butlers Marisol and Alexander. They would text us every morning and come to the beach look for us if we needed anything for the day. I can say with all my heart that this is our home resort. It was our seventh time back and can’t wait to return to see our friends. I think they have the most hard working people I have ever met. My boyfriend, Malcolm and I came to the Royalton Chic to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. The property is absolutely beautiful and the ocean view from our room on the 15th floor was INSANE! We purchased the diamond club, which I highly recommend doing as there is a separate pool and beach area for you to relax in. By purchasing the diamond club, we were also given room and beach butlers that made our stay extremely special. Marisol and Gilbert were our room butlers and they were honestly just so wonderful—they had great communication with us the whole trip, booked our dinner reservations for us, helped us with any issues we had, and gave us recommendations for activities or restaurants during our stay. We also had such a great experience with Jesse, Pablo, and Carlos our beach butlers. The three of them were so funny and became friends to us during the trip—we have so many inside jokes with them after our stay:) They also gave us cold towels and aloe spray when we were laying in the sun which was so relaxing. We had great service from Luis and Kuri at the pool, as well as Veronica at the buffet restaurant and Ulises at the Italian restaurant. Special thanks to Willy from the vibe team for making us bracelets and dancing with us at the silent disco! Everyone is so awesome here. From the staff, the food, the views and everything in between—thank you for making this trip so amazing. We are already planning on coming back in a few months. We LOVE the Royalton CHIC! 💜💜💜💜💜

This was actually my second time at the resort celebrating my birthday. But on this trip I opted for the diamond package. When I tell you I won’t be booking any other option. I can’t believe I was missing out on such a wonderful experience. The Diamond package comes with your own personalized butlers. Mine were Samara & Iran, they made sure to check up on me during my stay, personally visit while I was doing any activity, and just assured I was ok for the duration of my stay. They were welcoming, explained everything that I asked, and made me feel super comfortable and safe. The hotel was clean, safe, and all the staff were top tier. Can’t wait for my next trip.

So I want to start this review off by saying I have been in the hospitality industry for the past 11 years and counting and as the head guest services manager at the JW in Las Vegas I am really big on Service and from the moment I stepped on your property the service was absolutely amazing from being escorted to diamond club check in then to our room. While walking the property just the views are breathtaking and the cleanliness of the property and rooms was amazing to see, I can go on forever about how great this property is but it means nothing without the team, now speaking on the team I have a few people I personally want to shout out, first of our butlers Marisol and Gilbert were absolutely amazing! I mean to be a butler at a resort is hard work but for them to be so response and prompt was just amazing and to mention friendly, fun and professional, if we needed anything they were on it like that! And they just didn’t talk to you they connected with us and made us not feel like just guest but like familia like they say around the property and it’s sincere and they truly are, I told them I want to stay in contact with them and I truly ment it, so to there boss please do whatever you need to to keep them around because employees like that are the reason people like myself want to keep coming back lol like I will be for my birthday in November! Next I want to give another huge shout of the Jesse parra this man is amazing in so many ways, from day 1 after speaking with Marisol we were guided to chairs near the beach and that’s when we met Jesse and his service out standing, we connected with him and by day 2 we felt as if we grew up together, from joking with eachother to know having inside jokes lol he is one of your properties heartbeats and I truly mean that, on our last day we woke up early just so we could make it down to say goodbye before we departed for the airport and the goodbye was so genuine he, me, and my girlfriend especially shed a few tears and that says so much about what kind of person he is and the impact he had on our stay. Every person I just mention is just amazing and I now consider a life long friend. I also want to shoutout Pablo who was also another person we won’t forget, he was just so friendly and knowledgeable not just about the property but everything near by and his recommendation on a drink called sweto which saved our lives lol I will be drinking forever now because of him, his a genuine soul! Also shout to Carlos on the same team we was amazing as well and very prompt for anything we needed and always checked in on us and everyone else on the beach, to sum things up the the beach team was unbelievable. And I can’t forget Willy with the vibe team honestly one of the funniest people I have ever met in my life and just the life of the party he made a big impact on our stay as well and huge connection and I wish him the best with his new born! Can’t wait to see pics when we come back! There are definitely more people to name but Everyone I just mentioned really made connections with us. The service at every food outlet we went to was 10/10 no bad comments at all really wish we could have made the cloud 9 but definitely next time! The housekeeping staff was so friendly and prompt I wanted to poach them lol just kidding but the room just kept getting more clean as they days went on. The room service was amazing as well I really want to give a shoutout to Gabriel he was so nice and took time out of his busy day to actually have a conversation with us and to give food recommendations. I honestly have no bad to put in this review and that’s the honest truth! Only thing I would say is communication to the guest when there is a issue with the external provider with the water but other than that This is the best stay/time I have had even and I have worked/managed/stayed at a lot of properties! So keep doing what your doing Royalton chic Cancún you have a beautiful property and most importantly you have AMAZING people on your team! My boyfriend and I recently went on vacation and stayed at a hotel I had previously visited and had a great experience at. Based on that, I recommended staying there again for our trip to Cancun. However, something suspicious happened during our stay—my boyfriend’s phone went missing. When we tracked it, we found that it was located at someone’s house in Cancun. Strangely, when I first visited this resort, my phone also went missing. At the time, it was in my room, while on this trip, my boyfriend’s phone was next to mine at the beach before it disappeared. Given this pattern, I no longer fully trust the hotel, and to make matters worse, they’re now charging me an unusual amount. If you’re considering staying at this hotel, I’d recommend being extra cautious. Make sure to secure your belongings at all times Or put in safe I now have been calling the hotel for the suspicious amount charged on my phone and the update of my boyfriend’s phone which they said they would contact us back !!! And haven’t . I have at this point called the hotel over 20 TIMES and no one picks the phone up I speak both Spanish and English and can’t get anyone to resolve my issue . All they have was a email and that is ridiculous. Update: I have had no response from them since we reported the phone stolen before we left last Sunday. Today marks a whole week without an inch of effort to handle the situation . So they are great to service you once you’re there but once you’re gone you can clearly see the care they have. Will not be retuning to his hotel or recommend it again. Sad to see a hotel with so much potential have such a horrible service at the end of it. Also that suspicious fee I mentioned earlier is taxes for using the beaches in Cancun from the hotel. I have no problem if that was explained to me from the start and before I checked out because I clearly asked 2 TIMES if I had any other charges ! So for 5 days $168 in taxes ….

I had a beautiful trip to Chic Royalton hotel, my two butlers Gilbert and Marisol made everything easy and very pleasant, they took care of everything ... The beach butlers pampered us everyday , with towels, cool down therapy, and good conversation , Jesse , Carlos and Pablo. Cynthia always kept us well hydrated and fed at the beach and always with a smile . There where many servers that made every meal memorable, Rudy, Carlos ,Mateo, , Victor, Yulica. and a couple more but can't remember their names. Plus the chef at cloud Anel did splendid job. All in all the staff at the chic where super nice , always smiling , always asking if they can do anything to make our stay better. Thanks and see you soon!!

Ricardo and Arturo both were exceptional and took care of our needs. They made a couple of off-site reservations for us, and we got the best restaurant seating. Escorted us to each dinner at the resort and again the best tables. They checked on us throughout the day to see if we needed anything. There are not enough words to give this team the BEST we have ever had, and we travel to all types of resorts. Royalton’s Chic's best restaurant is Cloud 9, which has an upcharge, and Vespa’s Italian restaurant. I would suggest upgrading to the Diamond Club. The drinks and Diamond Club pool were lovely. The Royalton Chic, to us, exists with the butler services for us to come back—it is the only way to go!

Samara and Iran ensured our stay was seamless, from making dinner reservations to addressing any concerns promptly.​ Exclusive Amenities: Diamond Club offers private areas, including a dedicated beach section with attentive staff who set up chairs and umbrellas and a private pool, enhancing the sense of luxury and exclusivity. ​ Level 18 Rooftop Cabana Lounge: Access to this area provided stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. The option for bottle service, though at an additional cost, added to the upscale experience. ​ Cons: Premium Alcohol Availability: A notable drawback was the limited access to premium alcoholic beverages. Despite the Diamond Club upgrade, top-shelf options were restricted to specific areas like the Diamond Club pool and lounge. Expanding premium selections to all bars would significantly enhance the experience.​ Diamond Club Lounge Space: The current Diamond Club lounge is relatively small, accommodating about ten people. In contrast, the Prime Vacation Club occupies a more spacious area with desirable window views. Reallocating these spaces would serve Diamond Club guests better, offering a more comfortable and scenic environment.​ Elevators: Yes, it is annoying that they don't work together, but it is really not a big deal. In summary, our stay at the Royalton CHIC Cancun was marked by outstanding service, notably from Samara and Iran, and exclusive amenities that made our vacation special. Addressing premium alcohol availability and lounge space allocation would further enhance the Diamond Club experience.

Overall the stay was really excellent for a nice week-long getaway. STRENGTHS: - The friendly service is by far the main takeaway we had from this trip. The staff are incredibly kind and serviable. From the butlers to the waiters and the beach attendants, everyone is warm and welcoming without it ever being overbearing. A special shoutout is definitely required for Arturo and Ricardo, our two butlers during our stay. They were extremely responsive, kind and efficient. They made the stay really special. - The dining was better than the average resort for sure. The food is consistent especially in the à la carte restaurants and there is a good amount of variety to choose from. Of note, the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant were quite good and worth a try! - The beach and pool are really great - you have a good number of sun beds and a good mix of shaded and sunny areas to hang out at. - The room was clean, spacious and had comfortable bedding. - Large refillable water bottles are made available in the rooms and filtered water stations are on each floor and filtered water is always available at the restaurants and bars. COULD BE IMPROVED: - The only major issue that the elevators are quite slow. This seemed to be the main issue from all the guests but given that we don’t have anywhere to go, it’s not so bad! TIPS FOR GUESTS - If you’re on the higher floors, consider taking the special “Level 18” elevator to the rooftop and take the stairs down. It’s often faster than waiting for the main elevators - Make sure you book your dining as early as possible, they seem to fill out very quickly. - Do consider getting Sun beds relatively early during peak season, they can fill up. - In diamond club, you can ask for a parasol if your sun bed is not shaded enough for your liking, it’s a complimentary service.

Just back from a 12 night stay in the Royalton Chic to celebrate my partners 50th birthday. Absolutely fantastic stay from start to finish, so much so we are looking to come back in October for my 50th birthday celebration. From arrival and being escorted to the DC lounge for a welcome drink while we waited our turn to be checked in. Fabulous range of spirits available, drinks made to order. After a short wait we were promptly checked in and assigned Gary as our butler. He escorted us to our room and explained all of the features and benefits of our presidential suite. He then made dinner reservations for us for the next 2 days and went on his way. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly and could not do enough for you. Pablo, Jesse, Carlos, Luis, Both Sarahi, (one in Taboo and the other in La Hacienda / Buffet resturant) Yukantin were all fantastic. While not out butler we often saw Sandra interacting with her clients and she too was absolutely fantastic. Even though it was spring break and as an older couple we did not feel out of place and in fact many talked to us, interacted with us and on many occasions had drinks together. We attended the majority of the pool parties, upstairs and downstairs and they were all such good fun. Taboo lounge for the after party was always a good night, I cannot recall the bar staff's names in Taboo but they worked very hard under extreme pressure in a very busy bar. We had the opportunity to eat in all of the restaurants and throughly enjoyed the food in all. We did book and pay for Cloud 9 for my partner's birthday, it was an exceptional night, the food and service was outstanding and well worth the 80 dollars per person charge. On check out, we were able leave our luggage in the room for the bell boy to collect the luggage and take to the luggage room, Gary our butler then booked us a hospitality room so that we could make the most of our last day and then get showered/changed just before our transfer collected us for the airport. Overall we had a fantastic time, we went with. clear mind and positive attitude and looked to make the most of the holiday and we certainly felt that we achieved that. As said previously we are looking to come back in October purely because of how much we loved this holiday and the staff that treated us like family. A highlight of our week was our excursion to the archeological site of Chichen Itza. But what really made our stay special was the constant care of our butlers Arturo and Ricardo.

Spent a week here from 15-22 March. Booked the DC package with WestJet. Flew from Edmonton to Cancun in an overnight flight. Location- spectacular. 20-25 min from the airport and a short 10 min walk to the shops, restaurants, etc. Amazing beach with warm water. Sargassum Zamboni was quick to clear the beach. Hotel- arrived between 0730-0800. Thought we would get a welcome drink which never came but not a deal breaker. Quick to check in with DC. Our two butlers were Esteban and Daniel- they were outstanding. We sent them our dinner restaurant requests and times we wanted to eat. They booked everything for us which led to a stress free week. Also booked the romantic dinner and beautiful roses which they got from outside the resort. I asked for the roses to be at the romantic dinner and there they were- stunning. Wife loved them. Morley was our waiter and he was a real pleasure. We usually got drinks from the DC Lounge and they were made to perfection. The DC pool was also a bit of an older crowd which was a nice change. No music here which made it relaxing. Great people all around. Restaurants- our favorite was Chop Sticks- Gozalo was our waiter the first time and he was a real fun person with lots of energy. Mateo was our server the second time and he was also very professional. Hunter Steakhouse, Hacienda were also very good. Least favorite was the Seafood but this doesn’t mean it was bad or anything. House wine was Chilean Cabernet which we loved and had with every meal. As DC, we were able to go to Hacienda for a la carte breakfast- food was good and a great experience. The breakfast buffet was also good. They had some great outdoor seating. No complaints with the food. Insomnia, the coffee place made some great drinks. They have a decent menu but can make drinks that aren’t listed. The elevators are what they are. Lots of ghost stops but we never waited more than 2-3 min for a Lyft. Pools- we went to the rooftop pool party which was advertised from 1400-1800. We went up there at about 1430. Techno was playing which I’m not a fan of and there weren’t too many people as it was early. Their pools are gorgeous and the views breathtaking. Would definitely come back. I remember some of your names and some others I don’t for obvious reasons 😝. Everyone we met was an outstanding person. Thank you for making our trip memorable and a positive one. Yes we were watching the hockey game at the romantic dinner. WiFi is great.

The hotel & overall experience was amazing. Food, staff, environment was all a1. We upgraded to the diamond club & it was SPECTACULAR. So happy we did it. We got to meet Stefania who was so wonderful & always made sure we were good. The staff was so pleasant and kind which made our stay that much more enjoyable. We loved it so much we are going back in May 2025!

Had a great time at the Royalton Chic celebrating our friends 40th! The diamond club was worth it for us as we enjoyed the breakfast at the Mexican restaurant and the upstairs area. Our butlers Arturo and Ricardo were awesome and so attentive.

Just arrived home after a fabulous week at the Royalton Chic Cancun. From the moment we stepped onto the resort, we felt welcomed and at home. We were greeted with a smile at reception by Mabel and checked in quickly and efficiently while we sipped a cocktail. We were unable to upgrade to Diamond Club at the time of our booking, but inquired at check-in and we were able tto upgrade for the following day. It was well worth the added money. After a good first day, we were greeted with smiles and great service all day and after a good night's sleep in our beautiful 8th floor sunset view room, we went down to receive our diamond club bracelets and were then introduced to our amazing butler Omar, who thoroughly went over our inclusions and helped us book our dinner reservations, etc. Later in the day, we met our other wonderful butler Estefania (Stef), who took care of us the rest of the day. Every morning, we were greeted by a daily message regarding all activities, restaurant information and then they let us know their hours and that they were there to assist us in any way. Our beach butlers Kevin and Ivan took excellent care of our needs at the Diamond club area and we were greeted every morning with smiles and friendly greetings by Carlos and Pablo, who set us up with beach towels on our chairs and umbrellas when needed. In the Diamond Club lounge Juan took excellent care of us and made sure we had snacks, water and made sure we had the drink of our choice. In the lobby bar, our waitress Beatriz, greeted us warmly every day and made sure we had just the right drink. She even wanted to ensure we had food to eat on the morning of our early pickup. Our maid Marisol ensured we had everything we needed and everything was always clean and fresh. We loved the view from the sunset room as we had both a lagoon and an ocean view. The ocean was turquoise blue, clear and lovely for swimming. The lifeguards ensured everyone remained safe while swimming. The food was very good and we mainly ate at the a la carte, which Omar and Stef assisted us in booking. In the morning, we ate breakfast at the Mexican restaurant, which was an upgrade for Diamond Club members, which was lovely. We really felt at home and it was nice as we really got to know the kind, wonderful people at the Royalton Chic who took care of us and they took the time to get to know us. They all worked hard to ensure we had a fabulous vacation, which we did! One of our best! Only one small negative/area for improvement would be that the Diamond Club lounge is a little small for the number of guests and with registration right next door, the lounge gets very crowded when larger groups are checking in. Otherwise, it is fine, but enlarging this area would make Diamond Club over the top! Thank you to everyone at Royalton Chic Cancun. We hope to come back soon.

We had an amazing time at Royalton Chic Cancun. The room was clean and spacious, the views were beautiful, the food was great at every restaurant and the staff was fantastic. We were Diamond Club guest and the service was wonderful. Check in was quick, the bar in the lounge had a great selection of top shelf alcohol. (Don Julio, Grey goose, 1800, Hennessy) The bar tender Yoli went above and beyond to make use what ever we like. We went back everyday some times twice a day. Luis in the lobby with the drink cart was great as well. He made us a monkey's coming and we kept coming back. Fernando with the entertainment staff for Level 18 was so helpful and always greeted us and let us know what was going on. Our butler was Sandra!! I can't say enough good things about her. She was attentive, she went above and beyond to make our stay great. The next time we come back, I will definitely request her. Royalton has a great staff and it is luxury for a good price.
