Had a great experience with rental of four beach cabanas. Loved the service and the food. Had a great day at the beach and felt the $600 we spent worth it. Went back a week later and had rented the four cabanas again. Or we thought we had. Turns out...
Had a great experience with rental of four beach cabanas. Loved the service and the food. Had a great day at the beach and felt the $600 we spent worth it.
Went back a week later and had rented the four cabanas again. Or we thought we had. Turns out they double booked two of the cabanas and wanted to split our group. After much strained conversation with the absolutely clueless staff we decided to move to the lower priced cabanas. Expecting to get four next to each other we were told we had to split up again as the four we chose had one of them booked.
Spoke to the management which pretty much said you are out of luck as we will book these no problem. Obviously we were disappointed at that statement. We were left with no choice but to leave. The whole experience was total chaos. Leaving Curaçao with a bad taste and this just put us over the top.
BEWARE when renting cabanas at Papagayo Beach Resort.

Upon our arrival at the Papagayo hotel, the way the reception staff received us and checked us in was spectacular, especially Dayanara and Ratenka with great joy and kindness, especially because I had forgotten my phone in the taxi and Dayanara called the taxi to return my phone, luckily she brought it back immediately. Our stay has been fabulous. The cleaning service in our room is excellent and the facilities are perfect. At the pool bar, we were well looked after, especially by Ana and her workers. She creates a good atmosphere and makes you feel at home. The Papagayo hotel is more than a hotel, it is being at home, but in the Caribbean, the kindness and joy of everyone make Curacao a unique, special, happy and magical island. We will surely return soon. Thank you very much.

Great experience! Amazing holiday in this resort. Close to Jan Thiel and all facilities you need. Very kind staff, they great you all day. Excursions are easy to book, pick up the the resort entrance. House keeping is very good. Daily new sheets and towels.
