The serivice throughout our stay was amazing. Manuel was very friendly and helpful to us. We had an amazing time at Mia Bacalar. The restaurant was excellent. I had the short rib, which was delicious. Moreover, the space was gorgeous. I love it

Mia was a tranquil gem. We loved the relaxing atmosphere, the food, the service, and even had the wonderful Temazcal experience. Special thanks to Terry, Manuel, Carlos, Nelson, and Marcos for their excellent service during our stay. We will definitely be coming back.

We were here at the beautiful Bacalar Mia for a retreat. We enjoyed the property, and the graciousness of the people working here. From the receptionists, to the restaurant and the Spa, everyone we encountered were kind and friendly. The rooms are very uniquely structured and with an intention. Room super clean with comfy bed. We highly recommend this place, try to not miss a dip in the crystal clear lake. let her infuse you with her serenity and tranquility.

The staff were nice. But firstly this place is expensive so you expect 5 star luxury as it says. There was no hot water even when we asked twice - they said they would look into it but nothing changed. The swimming pool area was really not clean, same with the upstairs private pool. Bird poo. Leaves. Stains everywhere. The aircon didn’t work in the gym and they didn’t fix it despite being asked. And the restaurant was overpriced.

We had an amazing dining experience in a beautiful setting setting served by Carlos and Hulio who couldn’t do enough for us! The portions are generous and cooked to perfection, wee couldn’t resist the sides of baked potatoe me truffle mash either!

The only two bright spots in this entire resort was Carlos in the restaurant and the view. The food was subpar. Our toilet would not flush. Everything seems run down and un cared for. The pool was not clean. Next time we will visit a different resort.

The stay was very nice. The hotel hs a private deck to the lagoon and free kayak and pedel boards for use. Carlos from the restaurant was very helpful with the recommendations for trips and food, and was super nice. We appreciate it Carlos!

Manuel was so wonderful. Such a great dining experience. I recommend the margaritas and desserts especially! Beautiful atmosphere, perfect service! We had sashimi, so fresh, salad delicious! The view of the lake was perfect and we even got a view of the full moon.

Staying here felt like a dream. Seamless blend of nature, seclusion and luxury. Very accommodating staff (Esp: Alex, Manuel and Carlos), and excellent food. 4.5/5 rating if I could, however. We had booked here because it’s the only hotel with a pool, but in person the pool appeared unkept, was cold, and wasn’t inviting. The lagoon was pristine however, and it is absolutely worthwhile to rent the jet-ski for an hour. Overall, I would highly recommend!

It an amazing hotel , beyond our expectations, the breakfast is perfect, the room is perfect, a lot of activities are free for the guests, the view is amazing , and the best thing is the crew pepole , Gil is the most nice person we met in mexico !

We booked this hotel to celebrate my birthday in Bacalar and since our plan was to stay in Bacalar 1 night, we wanted a hotel that had everthing on site so we booked at Mia. Upon our arrival, we checked into our room, very beautiful, modern, high end room and decided to check out the lagoon (it is right on the lagoon). To our suprise, there was no one around, no one in the pool, no one at the restaurant, no one at the bar and no one at the lagoon....very strange but that meant the hammocks were available so we were able to use them and just enjoy the freshness of the lagoon and relaxing in the hammock. our room had a private pool on the second floor so we decided to try it out only to discover it dirty...sides of the pool not clean, bugs and a film of dead moskitos on top, it was too disgusting for us, we gave up on that idea but enjoyed the upstairs deck for a while. We went to the restaurant on site for dinner, the food was very good but the service was excellent. Same can be said at breakfast the next day. All in all, way too expensive for what you get, we found nice hotels and restaurants in Bacalar at one third the price of Mia. This probably explains why it was a ghost town in the middle of the peak season. Too bad because it has great potential. on a side bar if you are a smoker, they do not have any smoking area on all the resort, you will have to exit the property to have a cigarette on the side of the highway...not very pleasant nor safe!

Absolutely beautiful experience . We travel Mexico a lot but this time we went to Bacalar on our friends recommendation. Its really special and an incredibly beautiful place. We were celebrating our 20 year anniversary and our experience at the the Mia was exceptional. Stunning accommodations , beautiful grounds, and very peaceful. Thank you Carlos and Nathan for making our anniversary so special. They set up a private table for us and the food was amazing from their restaurant Hunan Ku. Thank you Chef Pedro Sanchez for our amazing meal.

This place is so magical, beautiful and peacefull that is hard to believe it's actually real!! And even more than that, the service is absolutly amazing, the resort's workers are very kind and welcoming which improves the wonderful experience. Definitely worth every peso. You won't regret it!
