Convenient location, comfortable cabin

Cabins were comfortable and spacious - a little chilly at night.
The Lodge cafe was adequate, but not great, for breakfast; we didn't try eating there. The shop was well stocked and staff friendly. The setting close to Yellowstone Lake was stunning.

Stayed one night in a cabin with two queen beds. Cabin was comfortable and spacious enough with a nice table and chairs, a slider to a wooden deck ( no chairs there), coffee maker, sink outside the bathroom, good lighting, and room to hang your items. The heater warmed up the cabin nicely, but that heat did not extend to the bathroom that had the toilet and tub – that room was icy, cold and discouraged you from taking a shower. I should note that these beds in the cabin were extremely comfortable.
Check in at the lodge was very quick. The lodge was very busy in the evening as the Internet was strongest there although even in the lodge, it was barely adequate. Nonetheless, it was cozy with fireplaces going and bar area. We did not have any meals at the lodge.

The floor was so dirty that you don’t want to take your shoes off until you go to bed. It’s like walking outdoors, hairs and dirt in the bathroom are so difficult to accept, for sure you don’t want to use the shower. Under the bed is a nightmare - the cabin has not been cleaned for the whole season.
We went there in September 2024, will never go again. Hotels are generally overpriced at Yellowstone but this one is definitely a NO GO.

These little cabins are great. They are very basic but still comfortable. Ours had a queen bed, a single bed, and a pullout bed under the single. We only needed the queen. There is a coffee pot with coffee packets and cups in the room a nice bathroom with shower and a sink in the main living area. Lots of windows and also a portable fan in the room. Lots of electrical plugs and a clock radio although the radio is useless as there is no reception in Yellowstone. We have stayed in these cabins and just love them. We will always return when ever possible.

We had a nice stay and the cabins seemed to have been updated compared to some of the photos. The space was pretty snug even with just a double, but it was enough for 2. The cabin was clean, had a bathroom and heat. I wish they would have come up with a solution to put a suitcase down, but there was no luggage rack or bench. They are in a quiet area, so we got a good night's rest and you didn't hear anything from any neighboring cabins.

We stayed one night in a cabin. The cabins are dated, but ours was clean. Bed was a double. We enjoyed not hearing "motel noises" like AC units, children running overhead and muffled voices. Seeing elk in the parking lot was also different than most motels!

We spent two nights in a cabin with a bathroom. Our room wasn't very big but there was enough space for the two of us. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There is no shade and no view of the lake or mountains. No porch on the cabin to sit on. Apparently the water heater is small as we ran out of hot water partway into the second shower. No Internet access, television, fridge, or microwave. Very pricey for what you get.

It was a little confusing checking in because you drive by Lake Hotel & Cabins before reaching Lake Lodge & Cabins. At check-in the staff was helpful and friendly despite it being the end of the season.
Our cabin was in C Section which allowed us to see the lake and watch the sunrise over it from inside the cabin.
As long as you can handle small spaces you'll be fine. If you are accustomed to more modern and larger rooms, you'll want to stay elsewhere.

The first thing to know is that you have to go to reception at Lake Lodge to get the keys. From the outside, our cabin sort of reminded me of an internment camp. However, the interior had a very pleasant rustic motif and appeared to have been recently renovated. Everything was in good working order. There was a fan and built-in heater that kept us comfortable even though it was in the 30s overnight. There were no microwave, refrigerator, or WiFi. Food could be obtained from Wylie’s Canteen located in Lake Lodge. It has limited hours of operation but we thought the food was good. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at Lake Lodge Cabins.

These cabins are small and efficient. They are clean and cozy. No amenities, we recommend purchasing an electric cooler to keep your drinks, lunchmeat, etc in your room. Plenty of drawers to unpack if you wish. As others have said, no a/c, tv, etc - but you won't need it....

We loved our Western 2 Queen cabin at Lake Lodge Cabins, and it was far better than I expected based on the negative reviews on Tripadvisor. To be clear, these aren't luxury cabins, but if you're looking for a secluded, quiet, rustic yet comfortable feel, this is the perfect place for you. We did experience one annoying issue though...
PROS:
* Our Western pet friendly cabin was huge yet cozy, comfortably furnished, and exceeded my expectations. Our cabin was in the very back in the H-block and felt very private. It felt a bit like summer camp for adults, but far more comfortable.
* Terrific location close to major Yellowstone attractions, yet quiet and secluded.
* The night sky here was magical and incredible. Thanks to the secluded location and dim lighting, you can see the Milky Way clearly on a moon-less summer night.
* Very pet-friendly: our dog enjoyed staying here, and it was very easy and quick to order takeout from Wylie's Canteen. The menu there is very limited, and they don't really pack food for takeout, but I just brought my own bag and took the food to our cabin. Wylie's opening hours are fairly generous, though they kept on running out of items on the menu.
CONS:
* Maintenance decided to turn off the water at 10:30AM one day, and the electricity the other day, without any warning to the guests. I had to hike back to the lobby (because there are no phones) and ask the Front Desk Manager if the water was supposed to be off, and she casually replied "yeah, it's just temporary", and she didn't know when it would be back on. I HOPE it would only be temporary! We had to use the bathroom in the lobby and couldn't have our showers as a result, and we ended up just leaving for the day and hoping the water would be back by the time we returned. The manager also didn't seem super concerned or make any effort to remedy the inconvenience to guests.
Overall we have fond memories of this place (except for the no water issue), and would definitely return next time we're in Yellowstone. Hopefully Management reads this and improves their training.

This place is bare bones. No A.C., no refrigerator or microwave oven, just beds and private bathroom with running water. The beds were okay, we had a queen and a twin sized trundle bed that was high. Some might find it difficult to get in without a step stool, but I easily accessed it. We had a handicapped room, it was roomy and had no steps to get to it. The parking area was not paved, so we had to traipse through the mud when it rained, which it did every day we were there. Consequently, there was mud tracked into the room. There was no maid service during our four night stay to clean it up., even though we requested a visit. Shower, toilets, beds , heater and sheets were all good.
