A group of 4 couples traveled to the JOIA Rose Hall in Jamaica the first week of March 2025. We had an amazing time. The entire staff was welcoming and so nice/fun to be around. We had dinners at the Jamaican restaurant x2, Italian x2, Surf and Turf, and French restaurants. All were AMAZING!! Special shout out to Karen from the Italian restaurant, although all of the waitstaff were great. Owen, Orain, Berris, and Travis made our stay even more special. The beaches were great (if you want chairs during the busy season, you had better get down there by 6am). The ocean and pools were warm and clear. Other than getting stung by a jellyfish, I have no complaints. Thanks for everything Jamaica!!

This is an absolutely gorgeous property and overall the food was quite good. Our favourite restaurants were the steakhouse and the French restaurant. The food at the Japanese restaurant was also wonderful, but the only drawback was the level of noise. Make sure you try the Buffet restaurant by the beach or the jerk chicken stand for Lunch! The one thing that made our trip extra special was meeting a concierge by the name of Georgina. We met her the first day and we asked her if there was a service to reserve beach chairs. There isn’t, so what did she do? Georgina reserved us chairs every single morning and it made our trip that much more relaxing! This isn’t what made Georgina so special, however. She had a way of making us feel cared for. She would visit us mid-afternoon to make sure we were enjoying our day, she’d find us walking to dinner and escort us to the restaurant and she was just constantly checking on us to make sure that we were happy. In short, she pampered us and made us feel like honoured guests. I cannot say enough about this special, young woman and how she elevated our experience ten-fold. She understood the assignment and made us LOVE that we chose this resort. Not every experience was like this with everyone at the resort, and Georgina could train some other employees on the resort as to customer service. (Like the woman who rudely told me where to put my used beach towels instead of taking them from me when I brought them up to the towel hut and laid them on the counter because the dirty towel bin was missing. Most other people just leave them on their beach chairs and walk away). To say that not everyone understands superior customer service like Georgina, is an understatement. David the entertainment director is wonderful and really takes his job seriously. The shows were entertaining and the Motown and Jamaica cultural show were outstanding! The Magic show - I would get ride of the Magic and just turn it into a cabaret of some kind because the two people that sang has great voices. Would have like to hear more from them! We first visited this property 11 years ago and this was our second visit. We would absolutely go back without hesitation.

We have been at this resort seven times. It is beautiful, well maintained, very clean. We would probably go back because of the setting, cleanliness, friendliness of staff and excellent food. This review is for this particular stay and I hope Iberostar does make improvements in some areas. Resort: -Clean and well maintained. Nice layout. Beautiful setting, lots of greenery and flowers. You feel like you are in a little paradise. Beach: -Weeds that land on the sand by water edge are no longer cleaned every morning. They used to years ago but not anymore. -Vendors are present most of the time. Some walk the beach, just by the edge of the water and some are in small boats cruising back and forth in shallow water. Shallow water is the clearest and vendors in boats can be in your way when swimming. They do not come up to you but call to you. -People sometime reserve up to 14 chairs making it difficult to find a spot by the beach and pool. -Found a box cutter blade in the sand on the beach. -Otherwise very relaxing and beautiful view. Concierge: -Irritating hard sell. We were invited for breakfast to discuss Iberostar club benefits. It is a trap. We said we were not interested. She convinced us to come because she would get bonus points. We made it clear that we will only stay 20 minutes. We got a phone call that morning reminding us to bring Id's and a credit card. Soft sell turned into hard sell so we cancelled. Room: -Very large and super clean and comfortable with a huge balcony. -Some of the furniture was refinished in a lighter wood, makes the room a bit brighter but it would be great to have brighter lights as well. A bit dated overall. -Very comfortable beds. Pillows could be better. Food: -Delicious. Buffet was open for dinner almost every night. Specialty restaurants don’t take reservations but we showed up around 6:30 and it was not a problem to get in. The only one that needs reservations is Japanese Teppanyaki. Pool: -Conflicting music at the bar and far end where the pool chairs are. Music is clashing, at the far end it is nice and soothing and by the bar very loud. One day music was so loud by the bar that we had to leave. -Towel stand - super nice people. -Bar serves nice drinks. Main bar in the lobby: -Wonderful staff, shout out to ladies who serve the drinks. Note: bring one dollar bills for tips. These people work very hard and do appreciate extra acknowledgement.

What a wonderful week we spent at the Grand Rose Hall!! We have traveled worldwide but never have we been pampered like the staff does here! Every detail was well thought out and done with such care. Cassandra at the poolside bar went over and above to fix our drinks each day. All the restaurants from steak and seafood, Italian, French are fabulous….but the Japanese with the delectable sushi was our favorite! Our night at the hibachi grill was not only a fabulous show but also delicious! Don’t hesitate to book this hotel - you’ll be pampered to hilt!!

The resort was fabulous in all areas. A+ all the way. The beach was great and the water was warm. The beach is clean and lovely. The food was fantastic, the filet mignon at the steakhouse and the pasta at the Italian was very good. The buffet restaurant had more than you could possibly eat! The view from our oceanfront room was fabulous and the room was super clean and cozy. Our butler Rushane was so great! We had coffee from room service every morning on our balcony, perfect start to many great days. The activities and entertainment was lots of fun. Kayaking was a great activity and the ocean was clam and perfect. I can't say enough about ALL of the staff, the were so welcoming and friendly, they make your time there the best.

Stayed at this beautiful hotel as part of a group trip. It was outstanding! Our room was on the 4th floor in building #6 with an ocean front view. Rooms are very clean and room service was always on time and delicious. Food is very good! Service was wonderful. A young girl at the front desk at check in was so helpful in explaining the different room types to us and helped us pick our beautiful room. Raheem brought our luggage to our room and was so helpful in explaining everything about the hotel to us. He also drove us on a golf cart to another building for dinner one night. He is fun and just a great guy. You are very, very lucky to have Raheem representing your hotel. He's the best! Wished we got to see Raheem before we left. Thanks again Raheem. We wanted to visit Jamaica; however, we were struggling in finding the perfect resort. I am sure to always read reviews, ask questions if needed, and check out all information shared on resort Facebook groups to guarantee I book the best vacation. If you are considering an adult only, all-inclusive vacation with stellar vibes and an amazing view, JOIA Rose Hall is the resort for you and here is why … When you walk into the resort, the perfume in the air may be a little overpowering to most – but it is their way of screaming “it’s time for vacation!!” We were greeted with enthusiasm and nothing but smiles from the moment we stepped out of the vehicle. The staff is extremely friendly and personable, they really do try everything in their power to make you feel at home and welcome. Throughout this review, you will see some name dropping, and I would like to apologize in advance if I have left anyone out. Regardless of being mentioned or not, everyone at the JOIA Rose Hall made a positive impact on our stay. We are members of the Iberostar Club and really enjoyed visiting the Star Prestige Lounge. Not only is that where members can enjoy some extra options on premium drinks, but our interactions with Cedric, Brianna, Shanen, and Moesha is unforgettable. Thank you all for making this stay extra special – the little touches from rose petals and private cabanas to bubble baths and bottles of wine were beyond appreciated. I know my husband can be a little bit of a handful, so I am thankful you were able to play along and enjoyed our company. I must say I enjoyed some of the best fruity & frozen drinks at this resort over many of the others we have visited. The drinks here were consistent and tasted wonderful. I will advise you of the ‘Jerry Special’ … after a couple you may not be able to pronounce your own name (but man are they good). Ask Travis to sing and dance for you and watch how him and Shevaugn interact with one another. It is the equivalent to drinks and a show! I cannot wait for another mudslide with Travis, or a ‘Jerry Special’ with Jerry. Those drinks were by far my favorite, but Shevaugn’s Pink P……… shot was surprisingly good too! (wink, wink) When we arrived home, I was already missing Omar and Valentine. I was spoiled having a butler every day. Yes, they are there to make your stay even more special by fulfilling as many requests as they can – but Omar and Valentine really took care of us. Thank you, Omar, for helping me plan a surprise of a lifetime for HD. Even though he was terrified, he was so surprised and in awe of the view from the sky!! The food! Let me just tell you about Jamaican food! Ugh, I gained 10 pounds while gone – no joke! La Toscana (Italian) was by far our favorite. We chose Calamari Fritti and Tartare Di Tonno as our appetizers. I had no idea tuna and beets would pair as well as they did, but I am looking for a copycat recipe! The Lasagna Di Costine and Lamb Shank Osso Buco (according to Jerome) are the best entrées, and we were both amazed with the presentation and taste of each dish. Thank you, Jerome, for your hospitality and recommendation! Dessert is easy for us in this instance as we are a sucker for anything lemon. That said, I would try the Lemon Cream Cannoli but also order the Classic Tiramisu with Mascarpone Cheese and Espresso Coffee … it was to die for! The Italian was our favorite, but we enjoyed so much food at every restaurant available at the Rose Hall. If you are into shellfish, I would choose the Raw Bar at El Galeon (Steakhouse) as an appetizer. Interested in eating outside of the box? Order Confit De Canard at Es Palau (French), it was the first time I tried duck, and it was amazing. You could also try Braised Oxtail at Port Maria (Jamaican). I have never had Oxtail either, but the presentation was brilliant, and the taste was hearty and delicious. Be sure to check out the beach grill for lunch and do try everything!! For a snack bar on the beach, they do not mess around in Jamaica! We do not normally indulge in the nightly shows, but we were so glad we did this time around. The entertainment staff really dives into sharing their culture, interacts with the guests, laughs with the crowd, asks for participation to sing and dance … no bull**** Daniel (Mr. HD Brown), we really, really loved all the evening shows we attended. And when you are ready to go back to your room but may be in the mood for a little snack – order the margarita wood fire pizza!!! I like to give suggestions for improvement as perfection is unrealistic. The only thing I would say is the interior of the resort is beginning to show its age. The ol' girl may need a little facelift. Overall, this vacation was a 10 and we will be back as soon as possible. Jamaica has now become a yearly trip for us thanks to Iberostar and the staff at JOIA Rose Hall. Thank you for an unforgettable trip and much love from the Brown’s.

My wife and I completed our 8th visit and 7th full stay at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall last week. Ever since our first visit - a 6-hour stay on a day pass during a cruise stop after joining the Iberostar Club in Mexico and wanting to check out the Jamaica property - we have continued to return because of the people who work so hard to give guests a memorable vacation.  The food selection and quality is a 5/5, the rooms, views, and amenities are a 5/5, the value for your money is probably a 4/5, but the people are a 10/5. So many people work so hard on long, hot days to maintain the grounds, the pool (shout out to Paul and Leonard!), the beach, the common areas, the lobby - something is always being repainted, cleaned, trimmed, or buffed at all times.  We love the resort and keep coming back, but it's not for the food, the rooms, the beach, or the sun, which you can find a lot of places. We keep coming back for the people below: Pool bartenders Jerry, Travis, Cassandra, Maya, and Keresa we were very happy to see again, while new friends Randeno, Andre, and Shevaughn were people we look forward to seeing next time. They work very hard to keep drinks flowing and ensure guests are having fun! Pro tip: your trip is all-inclusive, but the staff appreciate tips very much. Lobby bartenders Gary and the original Andre were great to see again - always friendly and careful to craft drinks exactly as requested by everyone, no matter the chaos in the lobby after dinner! Kerry manages the bars and is an incredible person to talk with. We always look forward to seeing him, and he is always working to ensure all guests have an amazing experience.  For this trip, we sprang for an Ocean Front room with butlers who introduced themselves and through WhatsApp communicated with us each day. Jaime, Berris, Christopher and Rushane helped us throughout our stay with any minor items we needed, provided information on the day's events, and continually checked on us throughout our stay.  Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short due to an emergency at home, and the team at Iberostar helped so much with our change in timing. You learn a lot about people when things don't go as planned. As Club members, our Ambassador Cedric was attentive throughout our stay and went above and beyond when our plans needed to change. Despite being finished with his long shift, he continued messaging with me after hours to ensure we could fly home the next day and helped us make our arrangements to check out of the hotel early and have our transportation ready for us.  Thank you again to the hardworking group of people who always make this our favorite vacation each year. You are the reason we return and we can't wait for our next trip! One love..

Room is luxurious and everyone is ready to make your stay the best it can be. The Spa is wonderful as well and you do not have to pay to use the hot tubs or other hydrotherapy amenities. Been Iberostar members for 12 years and been coming to Iberostar for 23 years since our kids were young. We found the cost of an all inclusive package to be more affordable then a stay at a US Beach in a crappy hotel.

Alex is new but is learning fast. Prestige Beach - there is no better service than Donavon and Mellissa. They combine as an excellent team, and the service is fantastic! Butlers - the BEST - Omar and Travis. They were meeting our needs before we knew we had the need! In our many trips to Iberostar locations, we have never received the service that we received from Travis and Omar. If you are a member, Cedric is the best member service person. He is OUTSTANDING! He knows his resort, and more importantly, he serves members. Iberostar needs to have a Cedric at each Joia! Cleanest and most friendly staff we've ever encountered in Jamaica. Best food consistently. We were upgraded to room with a butler and really appreciated the extra perks. It was nice to be in an adults only resort. We will definitely be back next year.

A big thank you to Butlers Omar And Valentine, And Omar at breakfast and lunch was awesome and friendly. Also Angel And Ace on the Staff for the shows were a lot of fun. We also enjoyed visiting with Alexis in the Bar area she was Awesome. The welcome is professionally “homey”. Smoothest check in ever. While our room was not ready, they have a place to change and we were on the beach in 30 minutes. Our room was ready early. Cedric from members services was our constant resource. What a pleasure. Our experience what truly special thanks to beach/bar service companions Mellisa and Shellisa. They are the best. Thank you so much. Donavan smoothed the day with great resort advice. Our butler, Travis provided the extra touches we needed. Our room: Beautiful room with double closets and sinks with separate tub and shower. The bed sleeps great and there is a separated sitting and desk area. The balconies are extremely generous and comfortable. Nearby activities: We play golf. Cinnamon Hill was wonderful. Two holes on the Caribbean, a beautiful waterfall, and views all over. Renesha provided caddy service. What a treasure she is to spend a morning. Safety: Absolutely safe. Venders do not leave the water, so no interruptions. Food & drinks Favorite restaurant is surf and turf. Nadia is a consummate professional. Our servers, Andrew and Natalie showed their actual care throughout our dining. Also enjoyed French, Japanese, and the Friday Gala Buffet. As for the breakfast buffet, we cannot say enough about our server Oshaya. Breakfast is what you expect with nice twists and a SMOOTHIE BAR. This hotel has mostly positive reviews….. so this is based purely on personal experience……which contradicts general opinion. We travelled as a couple in March 2025 Upon arrival the hotel was very impressive. The reception area was very grand and staff helpful. We had an issue with our booking which wasn’t resolved upon check-in but as a sweetener we were upgraded to an Oceanview room with Butler service. First impressions, our room was impressive … the view from our balcony was breathtaking. However, as the holiday progressed little snags, albeit small began to appear. We had coffee making facilities but never did get given a teaspoon or milk???? We started off with little snacks of peanuts, crisps etc., in the room but again this dwindled off. The mini bar was not a bar … very basic items provided. The toilet roll holder never remained fixed to the wall …🙈so annoying!!! Toilet paper was ‘super’ thin …. Minor things but oh so frustrating. Food in general was substandard…. The buffet was hardly open for evening meal … speciality restaurants were available but again substandard and problematic as invariably you were turned away and told to come back as they were busy! You could only book the Japanese. Breakfast was disappointing in the buffet cutlery was missing most mornings. Evening entertainment was poor… the in-house animators did their best and put in a tremendous amount of time and effort to deliver a show but never seemed to quite meet expectations compared to other Iberostar hotels that we’ve visited in the past. Lastly the staff overall were amazing. Too many to name individually … all of them, with one or two exceptions could not do enough for you! Very warm and welcoming individuals. They work so very hard to make your holiday a wonderful memory, sadly it’s disappointing that for whatever reason it didn’t quite come together for us. Members of management were seen often around the complex. Unless you spoke to them they never approached you to enquire how your holiday was going? Maybe this needs to be addressed …. They appeared somewhat uninterested unlike the general staff who constantly wanted to be reassured.

We even came back to the room one night to find a beautiful bath drawn, with flower petals and towel origami :) The food at all the restaurants was amazing and delicious! I am plant-based, and there were options at every single one. (My partner is not, but he agreed the food was fantastic.) We were so sad to leave when our vacation was over. Definitely will be back!!

The ppl are absolutely top tier. The hotel is a 2.9 at best. You can not call a basic room a suite when it only has one restroom. The restaurants on property do not take reservations and the first come first server there was a 45min wait at 625pm and the restaurant opened at 6pm. Someone took a reservation!!! The only other restaurant available on this friday night is the Italian and we waited 30 minutes after being seated immediately for someone to take our order. The appetizers at the Italian restaurant had no flavor it was cheese and tomatoes sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper FFS. I wanted to eat my dessert first you would have thought I whipped out a weapon, and threatened the entire facility. The mini bar in our room had open containers in it the cans of juice and a beer 🍺 was left open from previous guest and today is my first day. I have ten more days to be here!! Ugh! The welcome fruit and the gift basket 🧺 is nice but does not excuse the noticeable fouls. Our first meal white chicken, no seasonings pasta aldente and bt aldente I mean raw. 🤣🤣🤣 we laugh to keep from crying. When I tried to drink my sorrows away she brought wine but only had enough for one glass so she split it between the two of us!!

My stay at Iberostar was fun. The each and every staff was warm especially Angel girl you are a charm you did keep me entertained the pool bar is fire specially the foam party I had so much fun. Crystal and Georgina you guys did an amazing job in our room with the birthday set up it was jaw drop I’ve never gotten this type of luxury before it’s my first all inclusive and sure ain’t my last . When you speak of A1 customer service and friendliness this hotel gives the hell out of it. I wanna say thanks to the team in the guest services department you guys assist me with my issue immediately and I never had to wait my issue was resolve in a gisp thank you nadeka u did that. Travis and Lloyd you my boys these young men made me some really nice exotic drinks guys make sure you try the shot (PINK Pooseh) Thanks my Jamaica mama Kareen for ensuring my transportation was set up for me to go back home and I did have fun on the bamboo river raft it was so nice and relaxing. The food mouth watering. Big up chef Duran yah man !!!! Food nice one love . If you're looking for an stress-free, fun-filled getaway, Iberostar is the place to be!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly welcoming staff. We arrived early (10am) prior to our room being ready and were anxious to get to the beach. The baggage handler showed us to a changing area and kept a close eye on our baggage until our room was ready. The receptionist and baggage handler came down to the beach to tell us our room was ready since we were busy playing frisbee bowling and not close to our phone. To our surprise, they upgraded our room to an ocean view. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and well appointed (although there were two right foot lady flip flips (LOL) which were provided for use, but we had brought our own, so no big deal). There was a beach bag provided that came in extremely handy. Sunscreen is provided, but we brought our own. Otherwise, it’s available to purchase for $30 a bottle. We had morning coffee by the pool. The lounge chairs were clean, orderly and ready for the day’s activities as if nothing had taken place the previous day. All lounge chairs have cushions which is extremely nice when spending extended period relaxing on (other resorts next door didn’t have cushions). We found the food offerings to be extensive, fresh and liked trying different dishes we normally wouldn’t have available at home. The shows were entertaining and seating plentiful. We didn’t receive turndown service the night before leaving which was a little disappointing since we had become accustomed to being pampered. The ride to the airport took approximately an hour because Amstar stops at other resorts along the way. I’ve stayed at 3 other all inclusive resorts over the last few years and have to say this one is at the top of the list. We will definitely be back!

The hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially our butler Rohan. The food was excellent. The beach was very nice, especially the beach staff Shelly and crew. As club members our club representative Cedric was exceptional.

His dedication to service is truly unmatched. It was our first time experiencing butler service, and we highly recommend the JOIA Rosshall.
