One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. We stayed in one of the artist rooms with an absolutely breathtaking view of Tokyo Tower and Mt. Fuji. The room was spacious by Tokyo standards. Staff spoke good English and were very helpful (although I think they work very long hours since I would sometimes see the same people working when I went to bed and when I woke up).
The bed was incredibly comfortable, amenities were top notch and plentiful. The hotel itself had a quietly luxurious feel with just the right amount of buzz and activity. We loved all the art on display.
Location was amazing. It was a ten minute walk to the Tsukiji outer market, and just a few blocks away from multiple subway and train lines. Plus, it was a short hop from the end of the line Tokyo Monorail (we came in from Haneda), so it's an easy base of operations once you understand the skywalks and underground tunnel network.
Since this location is more of a business area, the food options weren't great immediately adjacent to the hotel, but there's a 24-hour Family Mart in the basement level, so it's very easy to grab some tasty, cheap breakfast and big coffee if you're on the go.

We really loved this hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights in a Corner King Tokyo Tower Side. Really great value for what we got. Our room was lovely (we had room 3012)! Very comfortable, and an incredible view over Tokyo towards the Tokyo Tower! We even had a clear view straight to Mount Fuji from our room!
The location was perfect, right in the heart of Ginza and with easy subway access in the basement level of our hotel. Service was excellent too, the Concierge helped us out a month in advance with dining reservations including getting us a reservation at Sukiyabashi Jiro. We also loved the coin-dispensed Sake/Wine/Beer vending dispenser in the lobby. This will easily be where we stay again the next time we're in Tokyo!

Well situated with great transit access (hotel is "connected" to Shiodome station and adjacent to Shimbashi station / Yamamote line) in the Tokyo business area. Hotel is well managed, nice rooms and amenities; and is connected by underground passages to a number of neighboring buildings and malls. We had not problems traveling to other neighborhoods such as Ueno, Shinjuku and Shibuya. One observations, there are limited dining spots within easy walking distance as most restaurants cater to office workers. Overall we enjoyed our stay, staff was very professional and accommodating. Would highly recommend for any travelers joining or returning from a cruise as it has direct access to the Koto City International Cruise terminal using the Yurikamome line, and easy access to the Narita Express to/from Narita airport.

This was our second stay at this wonderful hotel. Very convenient and quiet location. Superb service which included the reception staff being happy to help with any queries, efficient and friendly breakfast staff and a lovely tea ceremony. This time we had an art room which was even better than it was as it looked out over Tokyo tower and Mount Fuji. We saw Mount Fuji a couple of early mornings from our room. Comfortable beds, fabulous view, breakfast even better than before, good Wi-Fi. Loved all the artwork around the hotel which has been innovatively displayed. Hope to stay again.

The downside is the old tired outdated small rooms, ok for one night for the airport and redeemed by the excellent service from all the staff. The 24hr reception is good for an early flight but their lobby drinks machines are weirdly not 24hrs.

Stayed at this hotel at the start of a 3 week holiday (3 nights) to Japan and returned for the last few nights! Great staff and the hotel really has a wow factor. The breakfast was great and fantastic views from the bar and lobby. The staff were fantastic and really helpful.
Nice hotel but let down by bedrooms

Breakfast is good and cooked very well with a variety of choices.
Location is by Shimbashi Station and on the top of the Media Centre (25th floor up).
There is free water, tea/coffee etc in the lobby.

This was our second stay here. It is a friendly hotel with fantastic views from every room and as you would expect in Japan, impeccable service.
The location is spot on, it is directly connected to Shiodome station which has underground and overground lines but more useful is that it is a 2 minute pedestrianised walk to Shimbashi station which has loads of connections both rail and underground.
All areas of Tokyo are easy to reach from this hotel and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Tokyo.

The room was more spacious than we were expecting, and the complimentary water and coffees in the lobby were a lovely touch. We enjoyed sitting there looking out over the wonderful view. The quick access to the train stations were so useful. We had a brilliant stay, and hope to be able to visit again.

The delightful surprise about why it is called the Art Hotel! Immense lobby with excellent restaurants at the perimeters and atrium right to the roof with wonderful art displayed on the walls and projected onto the long columns. We loved the art displayed on every corridor; some of the rooms are custom painted by local artists but we didn't book this. Would next time!
This first impression was topped only by the professional, helpful, excellent staff everywhere, and delicious food in the restaurants, self-serve free coffee in the lobby.
Our room (3416) was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. We purposely booked on the non-Tokyo Tower side for economy but saw the tower displayed in the windows of nearby towers, another delight. Walking distance to Ginza area and the Hama-rikyo Gardens. "GO" taxis readily available.
There are no shops or restaurants on the street just outside the hotel door but the proximity to the trains far outweighed that! This was our kickoff to over a month exploring Japan so we were happy here.

Hotel is part of a tower block with other offices. Don’t be put off by the fact you seem to be walking into an office entrance there are signs for the hotel. Lobby is stunning. Nice art work and view over the city. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit of a disappointment after seeing the lobby and corridors. Very basic. Needs some renovation work. Everyone was clean but just ok. Needs to be painted, new furniture, bathroom to be totally changed as it’s very dated. Carpets and furniture are very light and so very badly stained. Bed was very hard which wasn’t to my liking and pillows were not the best. On the first evening we noticed the toilet was leaking when it was flushed. Reported to reception and it didn’t happen again when we came back but didn’t get an update to say it was resolved. Also for an art hotel there was absolutely no pictures in the room at all just plain wall. All in all an ok stay but not a 4 star experience and unless upgraded I would not stay again.

We have stayed here over a 17-year period (time flies), three times, from ages 25 to 42. It’s always a great hotel, well located and with spotless common areas, great dining and a nice 4 star feel. The crowd is a mix of ages, nationalities and travel styles so it’s a nice comfortable mix.
The Society bar is an excellent choice for relaxing after a day out and comes with exceptional selection of beer, whiskey and cocktails. The new coffee and beer/wine stations are nice, easy to use and promotes lobby congregation giving an open and social feel. The views from the lobby are unbeatable.
The Corner Tower Room views are amazing and overall, the hotel is a wonderful choice for a stay in Tokyo. Room comes with everything you’d need, toothbrush, paste, razor etc. so you can pack lightly.
The reason for 4 stars and not 5 this time is that the carpet and chairs in the rooms need to be replaced soon. The common areas have been updated extensively, but the rooms not so much. A quick re-carpet and new chairs would make a huge difference. Rooms are showing age with some fraying and stains from coffee it seems, at least in my room which besides that was excellent.

Set in a quiet business area next to a big park with Shimbashi & Shiodome stations just a few minutes covered walk away this hotel has always been our go-to in Tokyo and never disappoints. We stay in the artist rooms which are beyond lovely. The hotel has commissioned modern Japanese artists to paint the rooms in their own personal style and the result is magical. This time we chose to stay in Festival again which is so vibrant and uplifting; previously we've enjoyed the Lucky Cat, Geisha Goldfish and Otafuku Face - all of them fantastic. The artist rooms are a good size, with plenty of room for our four pieces of luggage, a very comfortable queen bed, big bathroom with great amenities and a washing line, big picture windows to view Tokyo from and a big screen tv with both CNN and BBC World English speaking channels as well as Netflix and other streaming services.
Its a ten minute stroll to the main streets of Ginza and all the big flagship stores, plus Uniqlo, Muji, Itoya and Ginza Six. Both Shimbashi and Shiodome stations are well connected to multiple train lines so its easy to navigate to anywhere. Just two stops from Shimbashi station to Tokyo station for Shinkansen trips. Shimbashi also has hundreds of places to eat and drink and interesting streets to get lost in.
As an added bonus, the big Ghibli animating clock is virtually outside the hotel entrance on the skywalk over the stations. The best thing about the hotel is actually their staff. Helpful, informative, always friendly and essential if you need to book a restaurant or evening out and require a fluent Japanese speaker. Nothing is too hard for them and it all seems to run with a smile, precision and no fuss. The bar on the 25th floor does some wonderful cocktails and our only regret is not trying more of them while watching the lights of Tokyo twinkle on outside. We will definitely stay here again.
