We stayed at Copal Tulum Hotel from February 5th to 8th, booked a one-bedroom apartment with access to a private rooftop and pool, and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience! The quality of service was exceptional. Even our dishes were washed daily, though we never requested it. One of the most important highlights to me was the incredible soundproofing: we slept better here than in any other hotel! The apartment had everything we needed to feel comfortable, including a stunning kitchen with all necessary kitchenware where we could easily prepare breakfast ourselves. The only things I felt were missing in the room were a full-length mirror and a bathrobe, but not a big deal in general. The amenity itself is adorable, offering a deep sense of seclusion and connection with nature - just what I was looking for! The pool, surrounded by lush greenery, completely stole my heart! Dining by the water in the restaurant, hearing nature sounds and relaxing music was a wonderful experience! The infinity pool on the shared rooftop also offers a breathtaking view of the sunset. And in the evenings, the real firelights and mystical smoke drifting through the foliage created an almost dreamlike atmosphere. We only wish we had more time to try their massage service, which is set in a beautifully designed area also surrounded by lush greenery. The location of the hotel was perfect for us: very close to the center with all its vibrant venues, yet incredibly convenient for quick access to the main Ave Kukulkan, which takes you straight to Tulum’s stunning beaches in just 10 minutes by car. The hotel also has a very spacious free of charge and safe parking lot where you can always find a spot. These apartments within a hotel truly made us feel like we were on a private villa retreat and waking up early to the sound of the owl’s songs was simply unforgettable! All these were truly magical moments of connection with nature that I will cherish forever and this is an experience I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone!

We had the best experience ever at Copal Tulum! The staff is absolutely amazing and treats everyone with respect and care. If you’re traveling to Tulum, this is the place to stay. You won’t regret it, and we highly recommend it to you and your family.

Johnny, at Guest Services, was so wonderfully helpful in helping to book our car service to and from the airport, our All day excursions, ATV rentals, and suggestions for good tattoo shops ;) We had an awesome experience and we will definitely come back to stay. Overall the hotel is great - really nice peaceful feel and our room was beautiful. The private pool was a lovely feature and both the spa and the on-site restaurant are brilliant. The included breakfast was also very good with plenty of options. We loved our stay here. Our only comments were: - the location isn’t good, we didn’t feel safe walking home at night from the centre so had to get a taxi - after a 17 hour journey to start our honeymoon we were greeted by a receptionist who moaned about her situation/ day, which wasn’t the best start. Compared to other hotels we stayed in they didn’t do a lot to make our stay extra special.

The rooms were a very good size clean and the private pool was great way to spend the late afternoon sun relaxing . The food and drinks at the restaurant was very good and plenty of choice . Special mention to Claudio part of the concierge team at the hotel. Such a nice friendly man he remembered mine and my wife’s name and greeted us every morning and was so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Copal hotel and will definitely be returning in the future .

The facilities are a dream, plants everywhere, good ambient music in all areas (never invasive), the food in the restaurant is TOP, both pools clean and beautiful. Copal was Amazing!!!!!! It was an unparalleled experience. We stayed in a room with a rooftop and private pool. I loved it because the sun shone directly on us and the panoramic view was incredible. Two delicious restaurants had a variety on their menu (I would recommend the tacos de azada). Ivy, our personal concierge, also made everything run smoothly with her recommendations for beach clubs, tours, and restaurants outside the hotel. I would definitely return! On our visit we decided to stay in Tulum that is about 2 hours’ drive depending on traffic, as we did not want a beach hotel and all-inclusive, we booked the Copal Hotel. We were not quite sure what to expect and as usual before we made the booking, we checked the reviews on Tripadvisor, that gives you a good indicator what you can expect. We arrived at midnight all was dark, so we could not see a lot, our room was of good size, nice and clean, the only comment to make that I was not able to watch some news on the smart TV, even using the browser. After a good night sleep, we made our way to the restaurant along a small path surrounded by native tropical plants that felt like being in the jungle, we passed a small swimming pool that was embedded in this beautiful natural environment. The semi open restaurant Opal gastro & bar that was quaint and fitted so well into this relaxing setting, including a few tables next to the pool. During our stay we had some lovely food in this restaurant and the staff were most helpful and friendly. The place never felt crowded a real gem to chill out. One person that stud out during our stay was Ivy at the reception, she was always friendly, a fountain of knowledge in regards of the area and nothing was too much for her. A true ambassador for the Opal Hotel. To summarize our visit, we had a wonderful stay at Copal and thank you to all the wonderful staff. We will be back.

The whole vibe of this place is just beautiful. Everyone was super kind — they welcomed us with lemonade (which was such a cute detail), the pillows were great, and the mattress? So comfy we slept a lot! The food at the Gastro Bar was consistently good — and breakfast until 12?! A dream for us late risers. Loved that. They even have a gym (yes, my boyfriend noticed! Not me lol). Ivy and Johnny were always around working and very helpful and full of good energy — they gave the clearest directions, always with a smile. The only downside was the infinity pool being closed — such a bummer, we were looking forward to that. Also, it would be great to have towels and maybe bathrobes available closer to the pool area.

We enjoyed very much the sense catching atmosphere of this special and unique place in Tulum. Room decoration and comfort, high-quality restoration, five star hotel services and fantastic relaxation and massage are the best of Riviera Maya.

Everything was amazing, staff was great restaurant was amazing our room stayed clean, our belongs was always safe. 10/10 highly recommend! They help us with off the property activities as well , from atv to clubs restaurants zip lining everything was great !
