Overview: Older but great resort on Lake Cor d’Alene. Excellent service but very dated rooms. Arrival: Drove from Spokane. Easy drive, and good valet staff. Check-in: Very polite and efficient check-in process. Room (1668): Beautiful lake view room with fire place and small patio. King bed, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, desk, sitting area, etc. Spacious room but everything is very dated and minds me of cutting edge in the 1990s. Bathroom: Nice size with tub and separate shower. Separate dual vanities. Bed: Decent king bed Sleep quality: Sound insulation could be better. Our room neighbors came in late and woke us up making noise on the way to their room. Housekeeping: excellent Overall staff service: excellent Parking: on-site valet or self-parking, both for a fee. Restaurants: Beverly’s for dinner is great, and the early bird special is a great value.

We were a walk-in couple who had originally booked at a different hotel. We came to Coeur d’Alene Resort just to look around and fell in love with the abundance of perfectly-placed Christmas decor throughout the entire resort! Nothing was overlooked, right down to the cords tucked away! We decided to approach the desk and request to stay for the night and were assisted by the lovely Lyrica 💗 She was so helpful, provided us a comp upgrade, and even called us after we checked in to correct a piece of info she had provided us As a hotel GM I know the value of an engaged, proactive and empowered staff member and Lyrica is a gem!!!

We are in our 70’s and my husband has mobility issues. Staying in a lake tower balcony room was perfect for our two day stay. He could sun on the balcony as well as in the rocking chairs near the Whispers outdoor bar. We enjoyed Dockside restaurant. Marisol was a lovely server. Cathy was very helpful at Beverly’s restaurant.

We had a lovely room with a great view over the lake. There are bars and restaurants in the hotel and plenty a short walk away. Staff were great. Only downside is for $500 plus a night you would expect inclusive parking and breakfast? Great place nevertheless.

First impression, I was excited, we were on an impromptu 18th anniversary without a real plan. While traveling I was trying to reserve a room online this was impossible as I was trying to book two nights and it would default back to one night. So I waited and walked in to see if they had rooms available. The front desk attendant told me she only had one room available for one night only….we didn’t reserve ahead of arrival so I couldn’t be to upset. But when I mentioned going elsewhere they happened to find another room available for our second night and we would have to move rooms for our second day, again I can’t be upset because I’m last minute so I was appreciative of her determination to keep us there. I’ll start with the rooms- First night was in a king Lakeview room, it was okay bed was comfortable and the view was okay but I would say fairly outdated and was difficult to plug in electronics as they only had one usb port, no blow dryer, no iron or ironing board and the couch they put in there is so uncomfortable unless you were the only one on it! Not worth the $500+ a night they charge. Second night was in the lake view tower, and needless to say there was absolutely no lake view and no better then any other average budget hotel, in fact I have stayed in much nicer budget friendly hotels. You win some and lose some right? First world problems, but for the price the economy rooms should be much more affordable. Dining - Subpar to say the least we first went to whispers the 21+ restaurant, they barely had a menu worth staying for so we ordered a drink (waited 30min to get 1 drink) and asked about other dining within the resort they only mentioned dock side and others that were in the shops. So we went to dockside they were not busy but we still had to wait and the menu was basically the same as whispers. Not once were we told about the restaurant on the 7th floor. We finally heard about it from other people staying at the resort, however it was about 8pm the night before we were leaving. So we ended up eating at the dockside twice the first time took about 2.5 hrs and the service was horrible in the time my husbands soda and my water were only filled up once and my steak was a big slab of fat. The second time we ate the salad bar and our server was more attentive (but we had the salad bar) The bar on the boardwalk - I’ll just say that the guy working it all weekend hates his job there, he was not friendly and made it apparent that he was having a horrible day and hated being busy on the weekends. When I paid for our drinks I gave a $4 tip, I watched as he did not count the $$ and just stuck in it in the register, I let him k ow there was extra there for him and his response was “ ya, I could really care less right now” how rude! Then the icing on the cake…. I asked if there was a pool, the employee sent me to the indoor pool next the fitness center, when I went to check it out it was less then inviting, hot, muggy and full of kids (I’m on an adult trip) expecting a pool with a bar close at a resort does not seem like a big ask. Well to out surprise on our last night during our dinner cruise we learned that there is in fact an outdoor infinity pool, you just have to take a shuttle to. I would have done that with my last day trying to relax before heading home but instead we sat in our economy room until our dinner cruise, instead of enjoying the rest of what was supposed to be offered. To sum it up, I do not think I would pay to stay here again nor will I be recommending this hotel I will go to the one lakeside. The staff is responsible for letting you know all the resort has to offer and making it a memorable experience (literally there 1 job) and they failed horribly. I feel like I missed out on the two best things the resort had to offer. I have stayed at a lot of resorts and this may top the list of least favorite. After reading other reviews we’ll see if I get a response back other than the generic one telling me to reach out. Keep expectations low.

Probably one of The most popular resorts in the northwest is Coeur d’Alene. Heavy traffic from Seattle and California means that you’ll have families that request and demand top service. We were there to Golf. We had the opportunity and it was worthwhile! The hotel itself is excellent, plenty of locations to eat, lounge, and explore. both family and adult activities abound. Downtown Coeur d’Alene is the usual tourist attraction similar to Banff Alberta, as well as other locations in the United States with Resort.

First things first: the golf course is a lot of fun. Yes, the floating green is a gimmick, but it’s cool hitting to an island, especially with the wind blowing onshore. The rest of course has its charms even if the greens are scratchy. (Do avoid dining at the Floating Green restaurant. No exaggeration it took an hour for the food to arrive.). The hotel & spa on the other hand disappointed. Our room for the money was tight, sufficient but just, small bathroom with one sink, toilet squeezed next to the shower, barely a place to put your stuff down. Overall the room was hotel average, certainly not luxury, with squeaky HVAC & not completely adequate light screening. The spa was substandard for the money. No steam, an infrared sauna that didn’t seem up to the task, showers that didn’t have soap (my wife tried 3 and all were empty), and overall dated decor. Of course these are all first world problems. But given the spectacular setting & the cost, it’s not unreasonable to expect better.

This place - really too nice to describe. Perfect and idyllic location and setting. We were wowed by the service, the atmosphere, and the hotel itself. Can't say enough about the location. It's a gem. Unlike a lot of other places we've ever stayed. The peacefulness can't really be replicated....

While the weather could've been better (no one's fault, obviously), we still enjoyed our stay and felt relaxed just being there. The hotel is immaculately kept. All of the service professionals were kind and welcoming. We will be back - for sure! The rooms are nicely sized. Our room overlooked the lake, which was just beautiful. Very clean room with great amenities. Really enjoyed this stay!

Unethical practices, fraudulent charges, and of course, racism. We booked a king specialty tower suite. Upon arrival, we were sent to room 312 (house keeping living quarters, smelled like weed and urine) which was about 3 downgrades from what we purchased, ($270/night) and was told the room we booked was no longer available and rates had changed. After calling the front desk expressing this was not what we booked, we were moved to room 428, which was slightly larger and included a balcony. After returning from lunch, we were locked out of our room. The front desk apologized for the mistake and moved us to room 1158, and offered us complimentary dinner. Contradictory to the rooms being unavailable, we eventually moved to the tower suite, and noticed many of the rooms within the suite were unoccupied. Desperate money grab, but it gets better. We were told the manager would discount our suite for the inconvenience, at the rate of room 318 ($270/night). Upon checkout the rates had changed again, as they attempted to charge us $380, with a pending hold on our credit card of $471.07 We explained what happened, and the invoice was reduced to $270. The invoice was paid in full when we left. Today, 24 hours after our visit, we have 4 pending charges: $9, $451.07, $381.99, and $381.99. Front desk says they don't see any charges to our account, and will need to dispute with accounting department. Racism is rampant here. Front desk staff wouldn't talk to me yet alone look in my direction. My wife is white, they had no problem communicating with her while I just stood by. I felt like an embarrassment to the establishment as I got the impression were to be out of sight from other guests. If you're darker than white, you'll probably feel safer walking the streets of downtown Spokane at night. Food from Beverly's is bad and expensive, awful consistency and flavor, cooked incorrectly, raw steak. Dinner for 2 came to about $170/ mandatory 18%gratuity, $3.50 service charge, and $10 room service fee. We could only stomach a few bites before leaving it on the balcony as the smell was obnoxious. Privacy is a concern with Pelco security system as Idaho is a 1 party consent state. Don't be surprised if you're being audio monitored and recorded throughout the hallways, elevators, or any other establishment ran by the Hagadon corp. I am not a threat, thief or terrorist. I am a patriot. My wife and I are both decorated combat veterans. I deployed for over 27months to Afghanistan and Iraq to fight for this country. When I get "those looks", it saddens me to think I would've died for any of you.
