Scuba Lodge & Ocean Suites

Friendly, well run, unique hotel. Spent 5 nights doing a diving course. Food was delicious, I highly recommend booking the breakfast as there is a great a la carte menu you can choose from for variety each morning. Lots of good restaurants to stroll to in the evenings.

This boutique hotel is a gem! Beautiful view and infinity pool, great oceanfront restaurant but also close to many fun restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Not overwhelmingly touristy hotel but still great amenities. Our room had an expresso maker, fridge and 2 burner stove. Grocery store and downtown tourist attractions also within 10 -15 min walk. Curaçao is under a lot of renovation but the scuba lodge Is protected once off of the street. Did not feel we needed a car due to such a fantastic location. Dive shop next door worked perfectly for a recreational dive. Did a boat trip in which we were picked up at the hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is a really beautiful hotel on a beautiful setting. The room was small but very comfortable, with a small stovetop and small fridge, and a very nice bathroom. We had a small balcony partially facing the ocean which was more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable and the service was very good. 2 complaints… 1 was the lack of shaded chairs at the beach and pool for hotel guests. There were 16 chairs at the pool, but for most of the afternoon only 6 of them had shade. A few more better placed umbrellas would have gone a long way (the three umbrellas at the pool were placed in such a way that they allowed for no shade all day-). The saving grace were the trees lining the pool area, which by around 12 noon helped shade 5 of the chairs. The ocean chair situation was even worse (and quite frankly annoying) . There were about 25 chairs in total, but 15 were reserved for restaurant guests or hotel guests who had to pay around 30 US dollars per chair for the day. These chairs not only had extra cushioning, but had perfectly situated umbrellas . The remaining 10 chairs or so were for hotel guests- but not only lacked the extra cushioning, but had no umbrellas and relied on poorly positioned palm trees which offered very little shade. The other minor complaint… the hotel had a nice portable coffee machine. However, you had to buy the pods at the front desk. Again minor- but why nickel and dime the guests like that. I wouldn’t say the above were deal breakers, as we really did enjoy our stay. However, it might prompt us to look elsewhere our next time on the island.

A colorful little gem! I loved this boutique hotel in the Pietermaai District. Rooms are spacious and clean and the location is great. All must sees of Willemstad are within 10 minutes walking distance and the best restaurants of the island are within 5 minutes walking distance. The staff goes above and beyond and the pool and bay area are great for relaxing after a day of exploring the island.

We loved our one week stay!!! The star of this hotel is definitely their amazing staff!!!! They are so friendly and accommodating! The staff also went out of their way to make my birthday special! The property grounds is like a paradise with flowers and trees. There are plenty of good restaurants around so you don’t have to take your car at night. The pool by the ocean is lovely and pool towel is available at the reception. Try to Pina Colada from the bar so good!! We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, which was huge and had a big terrace. There is only a/c in the room and bathroom and not in the main area. Which anyways, we quickly realized that is a common thing in Curaçao and we were always outside. The terrace has two big fans and there is a fan in the living room. Will definitely return to this property if we ever vacation again in Curaçao.

Rooms and surroundings are very nice and clean. Two swimming pools with one infinity pool and a cosy restaurant at the seaside. Easy and close entrance to the sea. Willemstad centre, famous Pontjesbrug and beaches are at walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Scuba Lodge. In booking this vacation, it was hard to decide if we should stay at a beach resort or the more central hotel. We definitely chose correctly! Scuba lodge is right on the sea- you can swim in a man-made cove. It’s walkable to a fun street of bars and we ate at the very good French restaurant, Esty, across the street. It’s a good hop off point to downtown and all major sights. I told the hotel beforehand that it was a special anniversary and they decorated our room! It was unexpected and so appreciated. Breakfast is not included but the choices are plentiful. We were offered a non- alcoholic welcome drink upon arrival. The hotel is lovely and tropical! Don’t hesitate!

The room was nice, clean, and very comfortable. The pools and lounge areas were fully relaxing. Loved how the dive center, coffee shop, and streets with all of the restaurants and bars were so close and easily walkable. Absolutely had the best time and will return!

The accommodation is beautiful, our room was very comfortable, fantastic views and a good location. The restaurant downstairs was good and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, as were the cleaning staff. There is very easy access into the sea and it is a short walk to some great restaurants and local sights. However, the welcome on arrival and the hotel reception did not impress, less than helpful, no welcome drink and lack of interest in providing any support. I have honestly experienced more welcoming receptions from hotels at motorway service stations. If I am lucky enough to return to Curacao, I would probably look elsewhere.

We enjoyed our nine night stay at Scuba Lodge. Our room was clean and comfortable plus the WiFi and air conditioning worked well. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool and grounds were well maintained. We rented a car through the hotel and it was delivered to us and picked up with no hassles. Location could not be beat. Within a ten minute walk to some great restaurants.

A perfect stay in a comfortable clean room with happy smiles. Staff were so helpful with information, tours, booking taxis. It's small enough that they know their guests and large enough for privacy. It's not on a beach but we enjoyed the ladder into the sea and swam every day....

It's not on a beach but we enjoyed the ladder into the sea and swam every day. Two different pools depending on your mood. The restaurant breakfast was very good and also very generous.
