We visited the Banyan Tree Phuket spa twice during our stay at the Banyan Tree. My husband had a full body massage both times, the spa did me a selected massage as I am recovering from breast cancer the first time there then I had a gentle full body massage the 2 nd visit. The first massage was excellent and the lovely ladies Guitar and Gift, explained how we had a lot of tension and knots etc and suggested we come back again for a longer session 90 minutes each. We did this today and we both came away feeling much better and very relaxed. Guitar and Gift are beautiful, gentle , kind and funny ladies, very professional and welcoming. It was lovely to meet them and we requested them for our 2nd massage. Cannot recommend them and the spa enough. Thank you

I cannot recommend Banyan tree Phuket enough. This is the most special place we have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived and were checked in with our bracelets of flowers we were blown away. Our room with private pool and jacuzzi has been amazing. We were welcomed with fruit, cake and sparkling wine in our room to celebrate. Our cleaners have come twice a day every day to clean and then to turn down our beds. Every night we have received a thoughtful gift from them. The beach is just across the road but if you get the lovely gentleman to take you there you get there in minutes and enjoy the sunbeds and parasol free of charge. The breakfast is unbelievable. So tasty, so much choice and complimentary sparkling wine. We were not told about this bit got the courage up to ask about it. Sooooo lovely. The guys in the pool bar could not be any more attentive. Special shout-out to O (one of the loveliest people), Tony, Ton and Pang and to Ple for the lovely treats around the pool. Be sure you don't miss happy hour. Well worth waiting around for!! Each and every member of staff has been welcoming, friendly and always smiling. This was a special treat for us as it is was our honeymoon but we could not have asked for a more special place to finish our first visit to Thailand. We will definitely be back and hopefully back to Banyan tree. Thank you to all the staff xx

What a wonderful 6 nights at The Banyan Tree in our pool villa. We have wanted for nothing during our stay here. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is great. Breakfast which is included has absolutely everything you can think of all in a beautiful setting overlooking the Laguna. The rooms again super comfy and everything we can possibly need. There is a public beach right next to the hotel, we cycled there (less than 5 mins) on the complimentary bikes to watch the sunset which was lovely. We also got the shuttle bus to the Banyan tree area of the beach with beds, umbrellas, towels and water, this was also lovely. The water shuttle and shuttle buses are great and if you don’t want to cycle around the resort then you can ring for a buggy at any time. We loved the Banyan Tree Cafe over looking the golf course as there was a lovely breeze, cold draught beer and good food. It was all fantastic, we loved it & would recommend. 10/10

We stayed at the Banyan tree for the first 5 nights of our honeymoon in Thailand, wow what a place, we had our own pool with an amazing room and were delighted with the ambience of the hotel It is perfect for romance and relaxing, we were fortunate enough to eat in 3 of the restaurants and the food was always amazing, loved the river boat into the shopping village, the staff were super attentive and when anything was required it was dealt with super quickly. Good range of amenities with both a spa and golf course on site, the golf Course was lovely. Using this wonderful resort to it's fullest I booked a full body massage with Nam and what an experience, she is so kind, very caring and a consummate masseuse, I would rate Nam as simply the best, be sure to book with her. Overall the Banyan Tree resort with, golf, tennis, 5 eateries and double pool villas to die for is the best I've ever stayed at.

We had the most amazing time at the Banyan Tree. We had a lagoon pool villa, totally stunning overlooking the lagoon or sitting at our wonderful pool. The room was large, beautiful comfortable bed, large shower, plenty of storage space. Staff were really friendly, especially Ginny who checked us in....

This was our 2nd time here, we are glad we returned. Breakfast was great, nice location overlooking the lagoon, great choice of everything you may need/want. We had a complementary dinner at Saffron on our first night which was really nice. We walked to the beach, wasn’t that impressed, luckily we prefer the pool! We used the gym which is a good size, we had a totally fabulous time here.

We had a ‘bumpy start’ to our stay at The Banyan Tree in Phuket with our check in, but in hindsight maybe that was meant to be, as it meant we met two individuals at the hotel who changed our honeymoon vacation from being good to being so VERY special, so special, we can’t wait to book to come back again. So for 12 hours after we arrived, we were ready to check out and move hotels for our two week stay, this due to the previously mentioned hotel check in. Enter Pie the Hotel Experience and Quality Manager together with Miss Nuuk the Director of Rooms into the situation. They both intervened and between them completely changed the deeply negative issue around. Miss Nuk was very understanding and excelled at her job, helping to smooth things over. Pie has since that day been our ‘guardian angel’ single handedly making this one of the best holiday experiences we have ever had, and we’ve had many ! having visited Dubi over 94 times as an example. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Pie, even telling us to get in touch with any concerns or issues on her two days off. Pie really makes things happen. She is so keen to know of any problems or inefficiencies we may experience, and she is so humble and genuine, an employee the Banyan Tree should be proud of. This young lady epitomises the brand and of every other employee at The Banyan Tree in Phuket showed the same empathy, commitment and caring for the guests, this would be the best hotel in the world, by far. Don’t get me wrong we don’t expect perfection as that isn’t easy to find, and of course there are many other good staff in the hotel, but Pie is just different. Pay her double her salary Mr Hotel manager.. she’s worth her weight in gold to you, the hotel and the Banyan Tree Group. Finally I’d say we’re very much looking forward to the next 7 days of our holiday, and can’t wait to spend quality time in such beautiful surroundings, There are some great staff, and the hotel is very much in touch with conservation and green issues and a testament to Thai culture and hospitality. Congratulations to the Hotel General Manager and his management and staff , you’re the best. We look forward to booking to come back again.

We stayed in a Serenity Villa and the space and private pool and jacuzzi were fabulous.Facilities are first class, we ate at Tin where we had relaxing tapas and cocktails, Banyan cafe was relaxed but food always fresh and excellent. Whilst there we had 2 x90 minute massages and can highly recommend. I played golf and again the course was in great condition and the caddies incredibly helpful. Our Thai cooking class was fun and very informative. We will definitely recommend and return.

A special shout-out to Tina, who gave me the most incredible massage—I felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated afterward. And Coach, who took care of us during breakfast, was fantastic! His energy and service were exceptional, making each morning even more enjoyable. We can't wait to return to this amazing place!

Much appreciated. So easy to get to and from the beach you can go by boat or shuttle bus and they have chairs and umbrellas on the beach for the guest I particularly love the outdoor seating at breakfast and dinner overlooking the beautiful Lagoon another great food experience was the Mexican restaurant TRE …amazing

There is no doubt that the setting for the Banyan Tree resort is beautiful, nestled around the extensive lagoons. At night, the lights come on and the serenity of the surroundings deepens further. It really is stunning. We stayed in a Grand Lagoon Pool Villa and were pleasantly shocked at just how large the garden was (we believe Room 310 has one of the largest plots) as, after the 10m pool, the garden extended for another 30m or so down to the lagoon! The villa was huge, spotlessly clean (thank you Kratae) and very well laid out. In the garden there was a double sun bed and a very large sala with covered beds totally in the shade. We ate at Tin Tapas Bar (where the nighttime view is amazing), Saffron (where we found the service a little wanting), Banyan Café (where we had one near disastrous experience followed by two really good ones), Le Petit Chef (which we’ll come to later), The Watercourt (where the food is excellent and the staff at breakfast were very friendly and attentive – thank you in particular to Woody, Chatty and Tiffy), the Pool Bar (which is good for lunch and had friendly staff) and had drinks at the Lobby Bar (where the service is a bit slow because everyone is drinking cocktails). We didn’t eat at Hōjō or TRE because we are vegetarians and the choice there was really very poor. Overall, the dining experience at the Banyan Tree is what you would expect from a resort of this kind apart from at Le Petit Chef. Here, your dining experience is elevated to a totally new level and I cannot recommend it highly enough. In fact, I defy anyone not to enjoy an evening there! It is a total experience, the likes of which you will struggle to find elsewhere. We had the Silk Route experience (thank you chef for the amazing veg option) and haven’t stopped talking about it since! Thanks also to Katty, Nam and Yen for such an enjoyable evening. As other people have asked, no, we had no problem at all with mosquitoes although there was a problem whilst we were there with dead fish. We’re not quite sure what was going on but every morning a couple of guys would be out in a kayak removing kilos of very large, dead and stinky fish from the lagoon. I’m clearly not an expert but I think they have oxygen level issues in the lagoons which desperately needs to be addressed. It took them several days to get on top of the issue during which the stench of the rotting fish could be quite overwhelming in certain places close to the water. We complained about them and the fish were soon removed but from an ecological point of view, it does need to be addressed. Overall, an amazing and unforgettable stay in a fantastic resort with great staff, close to the beautiful sandy beach.

Breakfasts do not vary daily and look a lot better than they taste. Construction noise intrusive and affected our enjoyment of the villa for much of the day, we should have been forewarned. Overall advice, there are many better places to stay in Thailand, which offer much better food and value for money.

We just loved our stay at Veya Banyan Tree Phuket. Just the perfect location for our 20th wedding anniversary. And the resort certainly made the extra effort to make our stay so special! We stayed in a Wellbeing Sanctuary pool villa with a king size bed … and wow, the bed was so big and comfortable. And the villa and pool was just perfect for a couple. Throughout our stay, the resort staff were just exceptional - very friendly, helpful and fun! And the 24 hour chat service was a great way to ask Qs, make requests and bookings and provide feedback. We have always loved dining at Saffron but were also very pleased with our first experience of dining at Tin Tapas Bar and the Japanese restaurant HōJō. And continued to enjoy the extensive choices for breakfast at the Watercourt. Highly recommend a stay at Veya Banyan Tree Phuket and we will certainly be staying there again on our next visit to Phuket.

We had a very pleasant 4 day stay at this hotel. Our room - a Signature Pool villa - was very spacious both inside and out. The pool itself was long enough to do reasonable lengths and was clean and warm. There was a public beach within walking distance but a 5 minute shuttle bus ride provided by the hotel took you a private section of beach with lots of sun beds and a bar. Another shuttle bus took you to a nearby shopping area with a supermarket and and some restaurants. The included breakfast at the Courtyard provided a good range of choices. All staff, especially at reception, were extremely courteous , friendly and helpful. We shall definitely consider returning to this hotel in the future.

Very unfortunate as service (soft product) was stellar and no complaints however the hard product (rooms and facilities) are worn and in terrible shape. Suggest you avoid and book elsewhere. To pay approx $1400 per night for a spa suite that is definitely in need of better cleaning and upkeep was incredibly disappointing and should be embarrassing to this company. They do not compete in any way with how they position themselves as an upscale hotel on par with FS, RC, or JW type properties. Travelers beware! Holes in walls not up to par with expectations, mold and stains across bed/bath, cracked tile, worn finishing throughout this "high level" room was very eye opening to us having stayed for the first time at this chain. Result: very unlikely for us to stay at any of their properties ever again due to failure to meet expectations based upon the exhorbitant price for what was delivered. (We could have stayed at a cheap Courtyard or BW more comfortably...)

We spent 6 weeks at the Banyan Tree. Our expectations were exceeded. Banyan Tree is beautifully situated, simply a paradise. The cleanliness in the villa was excellent, just as you would wish. The quality of service is of the very highest standard, it really couldn't be better. Without exception, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and always in a good mood. The breakfast is another highlight, there is nothing you could miss. One thing to criticise is the lack of cleanliness of the tables, chairs and chair cushions in the breakfast area. We regularly had to ask the staff to remove bird droppings and other dirt from these items. It is not enough to wipe a glass plate with a damp cloth, this only smears the bird droppings but does not remove them. It is also not a solution to simply turn over a dirty cushion or replace it with another chair. We were also unhappy by the lack of TV channels and the poor, jerky and distorted picture quality. Basically, we would spend our next holiday at the Banynan again, because we had a great time. However, I don't know whether we would want to travel to Phuket again. The Laguna and Bangtao region is a huge building site and the beautiful region is being concreted over with ugly new buildings. I also have no desire to spend my holidays in Little Russia. There are an incredible number of Russians in Phuket, some restaurants and shops have been completely taken over by Russians. Many apartment blocks are rented exclusively by Russians. This is probably one of the reasons why there are far fewer European tourists than in previous years. It is easy to see that Thai culture is gradually being lost and a two-tier society is emerging.

„Welcome home“ are the words you are greeted with when arriving at the resort - and for us that‘s what it is: it was our 6. or 7. stay in the last ten years. The reasons we always come back are mainly the staff (which is just amazing) and the villas themselves (during ten years I can assure you they are always well maintained). Having a villa host with whom you can communicate via whatsapp is kind of standard in this price range, but still it was amazingly done, you knew it was really „your“ host and no team behind it. And what I really like is, that the people remember one and are generally this warm and kind! All staff constantly strived to make our stay amazing and always asked if everything is great. The food is just amazing - we really like the Saffron! And it may be a small thing, but at least in the bigger villas you always get a small treat during the day, which was usually ice cream - fits well when it’s thst warm. I won‘t comment on the villas, just saying, they are really as amazing as the pictures promise… We are thrilled to see the upcoming changes/improvements which the general manager explained to us, like getting an amazing beach club in summer! We will definitely come back!
