We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of Feb 2025. It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. The staff really are first rate and nothing is too much trouble. If you visit you must go the Layan Life Wellness centre. It is absolutely first rate. A special mention for Billy who works there, he really understands his subject and couldn’t have been any more attentive!

We had a great short honeymoon stay in Anantara Layan. We were unfortunate with the weather but there is a fantastic beach and pool, and they will take you all around the resort on buggies at request. The breakfast spread is decadent and there are multiple restaurants on site (some quite expensive) as well as rooftop and pool bars. Spa / massages were excellent and the gym in the wellness centre is top class (for a hotel). Staff are extremely attentive without ever being in the way. Would highly recommend.

The experience was first grade. When we evaluated what was not satisfactory on our one week stay we couldnt think of anything. The personel,restaurants pottery course etc : all good. The beach is private anb there is no hassle. About 3/4 hour by car from airport.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful from the staff to the facilities, the great pool, the luxurious villas, the friendliest staff members and the most comfortable bed ever. It is a magical hotel in every way. This is our favourite hotel in the world and our fifth visit

A confession - when our travel agent suggested this property for our week on the beach, I was hesitant, principally because of the beach/tide situation. How wrong I was. Without hesitation I would rate this hotel as one of the best I have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. The property is an oasis a virtual million miles away from the madness that is the main Phuket. Beautifully designed, and set amongst the trees it is a large but perfectly formed resort. We had a deluxe Layan Suite (43) with a fabulous view across the bay. The room had every conceivable thing you could ask for and some I have never seen before. The beach is clean, soft sand and the water in February was calm and clear. When the tide goes out, it's a lovely walk across to the island opposite. The Breakfast offering was magnificent, and we tried dinner at all four restaurants. Breeze was great for a couple of casual dinners after busy days, Zuma was good food, albeit a little expensive. Age was also excellent, but our stand out was Dara which we visited 2 consecutive nights. Above all else however, was the incredible service from absolutely 100% of the staff we encountered. I have never seen such a friendly, welcoming and happy team - too many to mention, but credit to all of you, you really make the hotel even better than it already is. This was our first Ananantara experience - safe to say it will not be the last.

I worked with two excellent coaches during my stay. The gym trainer Billy was encouraging and convinced me the importance of building core by introducing me to different exercises and showing me how to stretch. I later discovered that he is multi talented- a gym trainer, a DJ and a dance teacher. I also worked with the tennis coach David. He is the best coach whom I have worked with. He tailor made his lesson, explained the concept adopting physics, philosophy and psychology . Indeed, a good player now requires positive mindset and resilience plus top physical form. David certainly impressed me as a high level coach working with professional , rather than just a resort coach feeding balls to clients.

Chompoo - on reception help us 10/10 about all reservations, best tables in restaurants and early breakfast when we left, also we had amazing villa with pool, very good cleaning twice per day. A beautiful hotel set away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket. The rooms are lovely and the beach area, with pool and restaurants, is top notch. Do note you are not near to Phuket Town - with traffic, this is about a 1 hour+ taxi ride away so do consider this. The beach and pool area are immaculate and overall the service at this property is simply amazing. Nothing is too much to ask. I became unwell during my stay and staff checked up on me, left flowers in the room and get well cards, etc - truly amazing hospitality. The breakfast each morning is fabulous with a great selection ranging from fresh fruits, to Thai food, noodle soup bar, pastries, etc. I must mention Kamille who is one of the kindest and most lovely people we have met during our stay in Thailand. She welcomed me and my wife Dianna every morning with great warmth and looked after me with special healing teas when I was unwell. She’s a truly fantastic professional who helped make our stay excellent. Special mentions also must go to Naddee, Nooke and Prince - all at the beach - they are simply brilliant and helped Dianna and I thoroughly enjoy ourselves with excellent poolside and beachside service. They are an asset to Anantara. Overall it’s really the staff which make this hotel so wonderful - nothing is too much trouble with the instant messaging via the App a very useful way of booking excursions, making reservations, etc. Sunday is a wild brunch beach party so if you’re after a quiet isolated place, with the arrival of Zuma here this is not the place for you necessarily as it has become a bit more of a “scene”. We loved it and the staff and beauty of the resort make us want to come back every year. Thank you everyone, especially Kamille, Naddee, Nooke and Prince - see you soon when we return!

We had a truly exceptional stay at Anantara in Phuket. The private villa was stunning, providing a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. The leisure options were diverse and thoughtfully curated, allowing us to experience the best of relaxation and adventure. A highlight was the clay studio, the two tennis courts, the gym and the great restaurant Dara with star gazing opportunity. Every detail was meticulously cared for, creating a seamless, worry-free experience from start to finish. Anantara is a great escape for anyone looking to unwind in paradise.
