Beautiful hotel in the hills of Kep by the National Park and walking distance to the Crab Market. Our room was very clean and spacious, the outdoor area had a hammock that was nice to lie on and chill out.
The monkeys are very cheeky and bold so make sure you keep the door locked as if it's just closed they know how to open. We were locking the one side and never touched the other side. I looked over and the monkey was sitting there eating from a fruit bowl. I screamed and I think I scared him more than he scared me...HaHa...He ran out the way he got in. When we looked at that side where he ran out we didn't even know there was a rod that slid into floor to lock that side. It was definitely left unlocked as we didn't know it existed.
By the pool a monkey stole our bag of nuts, ate a few then threw the bag at us. Guess he didn't like them salted. He's lucky it wasn't the wasabi ones...HaHa
Monkeys didn't dampen our stay but sure brought us some holiday excitement.
Kep Beach is nothing special so take full advantage of the pools at Veranda. We enjoyed the infinity pool.
When ordering food and drinks in the restaurant you cannot charge items to your room so make sure you have cash or card with you.
Please be aware of Asian Forest Scorpions while staying there. Unfortunately my partner was stung in our room when he walked in the dark to the toilet. I took a photo, left my partner with his leg elevated and ran to reception. With the language barrier it was a bit difficult. He spoke into his mobile and showed me "Scorpion". I replied yes I know but is this type lethal? He grabbed a broom and dust pan so I presumed it wasn't. I was relieved after a Google search as we were walking back to our room and finding out it's not a deadly lethal Scorpion. He caught and disposed of it then brought me the ice I asked for. I highly suggest that the resort place information in rooms so guests don't go through a terrifying situation like we did.

My beloved and I had a great stay from August 2-5 (2024) and we'll definitely be back.
We stayed in Cliff 8 which had an amazing view of the sea and mountains. It was nice, quiet, relaxing, and we got to experience some of the wildlife.
The breakfast buffet was pretty good, but beware of monkeys. Even on your balcony, the monkeys can/will come. They observe you and then may try to steal things, so don't leave anything valuable or shiny out.
I watched a monkey steal a hotel provided dental kit after I brought in the water. I was kind of playing a game with them, then I scared them all away 😂. They didn't steal anything of our personal belongings.
The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, and they will make time to have a chat with you if you want: I really enjoyed talking to them.
I feel like I left there having made friends instead of just meeting staff members. Chan helped me out alot, even before I got there: I appreciate that.
The main restaurant (food) is a bit pricey and the portion size for the rib plate didn't really meet my standards. I didn't try the full menu, but I would suggest to increase the portion size just a bit. I would be willing to share ways to provide more value if contacted directly.
Last but not least, the view was amazing! I didn't even feel like I needed to go anywhere. The resort itself is beautiful in general and you can even watch little monkeys play around sometimes (when they are behaving).
It's fun to explore, and you could even play a nice game of 'hide and seek'. You might have some wildlife (simple insects, geckos, lizard) that may get in your room, but they aren't pests.
I could go on, but this should give you an idea. 10/10 would/will go again.

The Veranda was such a memorable experience for several reasons. First, the most obvious, is the aesthetics of the resort as a whole. On the edge of a cliff just outside of the Kep National Park the resort is a labyrinth of wooden walkways between the reception, rooms, a world class restaurant, and two pools! We stayed in the Stone Room which was phenomenal. We had private access to the garden pool which is where we spent most of our time. I have to say the most stand out aspect of our stay at the Veranda was how helpful the reception was. The manager Manout was so helpful in arranging our day trip to Rabbit Island as well as our travel to Koh Rong, our next travel destination. Chan was also very helpful in assisting with our travels as well as planning our walk around the Kep National Park which we were pleased to know is literally across the street from the reception desk. Our next favorite part was that the resort is a very short walk to the famous Kep Crab Market. We would walk down for an early dinner almost every night and get fresh crab with Kampot pepper followed by a swim in the Garden Pool with a few drinks for happy hour. To the detriment of my caloric intake, the pizzas from the restaurant were literally the best pizzas I’ve had in my life which I would put up against any of the best places in Chicago, New York, or Detroit. I don’t know how they get the crust so perfectly roasted underneath the whole pizza. I think I got a bed time veggie pizza for room service every night we stayed there! I would suggest the Veranda to anyone who wishes to stay in Kep. It was an amazing time. The pics of the crab and prawn are from the Kep Crab Market but everything else is from the resort. Wish I had taken pics of the pizza but the pie didn’t last much longer than the minute they were dropped off in our room!

Our room was spacious and comfortable and we loved the private outdoor seating area and shower with a spectacular view.
The restaurant food was of a very high standard and breakfast buffet had a huge variety. We especially loved the freshly baked almond croissants!!
Finally, the staff were simply outstanding and we enjoyed fabulous service from them all. Of all the places we have stayed in Vietnam and Cambodia, this was our favourite and we will definitely be back!

Such an atmospheric place in the jungle amongst the treetops monkeys by the pool some evenings. Ok a bit tatty around the edges now but unforgettable atmosphere which we’ll never forget. Staff delightful and a shout out for the amazing pebble mosaic work in the bathrooms. Great to take a $2 tuk tuck to the crab market at sunset and also a sunset bar with stunning views just above hotel entrance ( but we stuck to happy hour cocktails by the second infinity pool. Kep is beautiful much pleasanter than backpacking Kampot .

A beautiful place to stay that needs a bit of management.
Liked · A lovely setting with beautiful trees and flowers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an enormous room with a lovely balcony with a beautiful view and a hammock.
Disliked · There were lots of small things to improve as they were charging top prices. No mirror in the bedroom only in the outside bathroom which meant getting very hot when drying your hair. Only tissues no napkins in the restaurant. Many of the sun lounger cushions were split so the foam poked out. The basin in our room was cracked. These are all things that downgrade somewhere but are easily sorted. We were given vouchers for breakfast! Which no one looked at. We were told we couldn’t put things on the bill like drinks/ lunch but you could!

A wonderful hotel, beautifully set in natural surroundings
Lovely swimming pools and atmospheric restaurant
We loved this hotel ,
Set next to the national park, when walking the path it's probably best to turn back before you reach the exit, otherwise your on the road
One of the best in Kep City!
Reception welcome is very helpful, giving clear information of our stay. we had vacation villa which gives the best view of the sea and the mountain (Villa #1). beautiful room. 2 swimming pools! good variety of the breakfast. we had very good time within the resort itself.
The hotel looked and felt very tired, photos were not an up to date representation of the quality of all tbe facilities and room. Staff were very helpful and friendly at the reception and pool bar. The breakfast menu offered choice but the food also looked tired - we did...
The hotel looked and felt very tired, photos were not an up to date representation of the quality of all tbe facilities and room.
Staff were very helpful and friendly at the reception and pool bar.
The breakfast menu offered choice but the food also looked tired - we did not eat in the evening at the hotel.
The location was up a steep hill next to the national park, so a walk into the crab market and main tourist beach of Kep needs planning.
On our arrival food had been left outside of our room and was still there on departure, so cleanliness needs improving.
Monkeys visit regular and can become a nuisance !

Second time here and it was even better than the first. Staff are so friendly and efficient from the front desk to the wonderful restaurant. The setting is stunning and in other parts of the world you'd pay top dollar but here the price is very reasonable. The breakfast is excellent and the pastries are as good as any I've had in France. Our only slight issue was a troupe if monkeys who sometimes make raids on the hotel. The staff keep them at bay and the monkeys are quite entertaining but do be a bit careful. The pools are both lovely by the way. Thanks to all the wonderful staff.

Top resort to relax. Wonderful setting and location in the forest. Very welcoming staff. Every detail has been thought through. Good restaurant and pools.... especially the infinity pool is 5*
A short walk away from the restaurants at Crab Market.
Very friendly. 2 beautiful pools and a good surrounded by nature.
Very good buffet in the morning. The baked goods were delicious. And the restaurant in the evening had vegetarian options.
We had a beautiful view from the hills.
There is a lot to do in the region. Would recommend.
