What a perfect venue to explore the area around Patong. We stayed in beach cottage 101 and it was absolutely perfect. You could walk onto the beach in one minute and listen to the waves ,birds etc which was very relaxing.Everything in the cottage was perfect for a enjoyable stay . It was very spacious with a huge bathroom, the air conditioning kept the room very cool which was ideal after a sun bathing session on the beach. The gardens and pool areas were absolutely beautiful and spacious and relaxing,so much effort must go into keeping it all looking excellent. The breakfast was perfect with lots of choices from salads, fruits, full English, Thai curry and Indian curry to name a few and I was in heaven as all were delicious. Compliments to the chefs They definitely cater for families with lots for children to do and explore. The animal petting area was brilliant and such a hit with piglets, rabbits, large tortoise, parrots and doves etc that you can mingle with and are encouraged to hold, stroke and feed . The beach and all areas are immaculate and very clean and very environmentally aware and friendly. Water is available free from dispensers that you can refill bottles from which was Excellent . They offered a shuttle bus to Patong free although a taxi was only 400 Baht . We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will recommend to family and friends. Compliments to all the friendly,excellent staff and management to make this special.

What a jewel! This Hotel is luxurious, nice gardens awesome pools great own beachside and amazing workers. The lady called “Film” made our vacation extraordinary. All of the workers here are amazing but she was the cream with cherry on top. Thank you soo much 🙏 .

Amazing place to stay second year we have been and will definitely be coming back again next year we spend 10 nights and the staff are amazing there is one lady in the crocodile bar call jan and she is amazing lovely lady and amazing customer service makes ya experience even better snorkelling is amazing to and they have a activity centre we’re u can rent snorkelling and other equipment and a petting zoo with pigs that u can bottle feed would 100% recommend good for all ages.and they have a shuttle bus to take u down to the town and back

Would highly recommend Thavorn to fellow travellers. Location is excellent between Kamala and Patong, close to action if you wish but very relaxing and quiet once inside the property. Staff are amazing, always helpful. I must mention Peachii, Cherreen, Lisa, Jan and everyone else who made our honeymoon so special....

There are not many negatives you can write about this beautiful hotel. It’s a little isolated mid point between the manic Patong or the more sedate Kamala Beach. It’s a hotel that caters for many nationalities - it is spacious and the rooms are great - 3207 was ours. There...

There are not many negatives you can write about this beautiful hotel. It’s a little isolated mid point between the manic Patong or the more sedate Kamala Beach. It’s a hotel that caters for many nationalities - it is spacious and the rooms are great - 3207 was ours. There is a vernacular to take you up and down as it’s a very steep climb to some of the accommodation and it’s quite perky! The pool area is great, a private beach offers some great snorkelling on the reef where you will see loads of colourful fish. Now the observations / negatives - the hotel charges what I would say are extortionate prices for food and drink and this is due to the fact you are isolated and are a captive audience - an example is £18 for a burger and a beer! Beer costs in excess of £6 a pint - if you pop round the corner to the 7/11 you get a pint of beer in a can for £2 and for 6 cans it’s just over a fiver ! There are no sunbeds on the beach which is a shame as that means it can be crowded with sunbeds right on top of each other - why they don’t do this is beyond me! Tips - take a face mask for snorkelling - don’t buy expensive flip flops or towels get them out here £2 for a towel £1.50 a sun hat £3 for flip flops then throw them before you leave ! Saved luggage space which if you are overweight at the airport you WILL be charged ! Stay away from Patong it’s chaotic - visit Kamala beach -it’s spot on - we have had a lovely time here - a 2 course Thai meal with 2 drinks cost just £19 and was easily the best meal we have had out here so far ! Other than that this place is spot on with lovely staff it’s just the excessive costs that irk just as much as some of the unruly Aussies who visit but at least the Brits can cope with that😅

This hotel was a tropical paradise! I must say, the staff were exceptional, the dining options were outstanding, and the hotel grounds felt like a luxurious retreat. The breakfast was remarkable, featuring an ice coffee station, and the breakfast staff exemplified professionalism and kindness. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel and coffee and cake from Sala Bakery, all of which was delightful! My friend was getting married at the hotel, and as her bridesmaid, I can attest that it provided a stunning backdrop for the wedding. The one thing I would say is it's a little outdated; my partner and I said it was quite 80s/90s but hadn't been updated since. The rooms definitely need a bit of a revamp and soundproofing as we heard some noise from other rooms. Also the gym needed a revamp. Still, this would never stop me from going back, and the staff made this stay amazing.

Wow FANTASTIC!!! Absolutely blown away. The Thavorn beach village has been booked for 10 months and not a day has passed without us watching video of the hotel. To say we had VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS is an understatement. The place is absolute paradise 😍. But I absolutely can not go without saying the staff are another level. I have to give a SPECIAL MENTION to CHANG the assistant manager in the Crocodile bar who made sure we wanted for nothing. He is an absolute credit to the hotel and he is not on his own. Two very special ladies JAN AND JOOM made our stay so good. They say Thailand is the land of smiles which without a shadow of a doubt it is but they never mention the genuine warmth that just pours out of these people. If I had to work with both JAN AND JOOM work would be a pleasure. A BIG THANKYOU TO ALL AT THAVORN BEACH AND VILLAGE SPA.

The hotel is a little dated however this was the only small issue the staff are extremely friendly and really helpful the breakfast buffet is incredible so much choice and very fresh plenty to do and see close by and spotless clean thank you 🙏🙏

Excellent stay, exceptional views from the room overlooking the ocean and the private beach to go along with it, is just fabulous. Staff is also very friendly and approachable. Mercedes at the front desk was helpful during the checkout process.

Was here with my boyfriend and I was beyond happy. The resort is gorgeous and the garden is breathtaking. We stayed in the seaview hillside suite which was big, spacious and luxurious. Special thanks to lovely Mercedes who truly made our stay wonderful!

Beautiful resort. We completely enjoyed our stay. Staff were very professional and pleasant. Especially Afandi at the front desk was awesome. He was very professional and communicated great. We checked in a little early and he showed us to the lounge where we could relax till we got our room. Also on the last day since our flight was late, we could relax at the pool and then use their shower room to change and get dressed. Food was great, but if you stay for more than two nights (which we did) then breakfast buffet can be a little repetitive. Dinner option was great with live music, we recommend trying it. We stayed in a pool walkout room and it was perfect to swim anytime. The only con to the room was that instead of a king bed, two full/queen(?) beds were joined so there was no walk out to one side. Plus, there was a big day bed on one side of the bed, making the room very full.

We truly enjoyed our trip here. First, the grounds are beautiful and there is so much history here. Lots of beautiful trees, flowers, and greenery on the grounds to enjoy. Second, the room reminded me of the history of this place. Very tasteful with historical elements. Very comfortable bed with a gorgeous view of the bay. AC works very well, particularly with it being extremely hot and humid here. It was nice to come back and literally chill in your room compared to how hot it is outside. Also, really enjoyed the pool. It's HUGE and it is like a big lagoon with many places to explore. We had a sea view room which meant we got to go up and down on the cable car to get to the room. How neat is that? However, what stood out most was the staff. Tiffy checked us in and then checked us out and was very kind and helpful and gave a great first impression of our stay. She also explained the property and helped us to navigate the grounds. It's about a 20 min ride to Patong, so you are close to a lot of restaurants. However, this hotel is like a quiet paradise compared to all the noise and commotion of Patong. All in all, it was a great stay and well worth the 20+ hour journey for us to get here. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is beautiful with stunning scenery all around the resort. Very well kept private beach & pool. Lots of activities to do, sports team very welcoming & helpful - as were all the staff in general, couldn’t do enough for you. In particular I would like to give recognition to the member of staff in the photo I’ve attached (who’s name we sadly didn’t get, but think it could be Adam) who operates the resort cable cart, he went out of his way to google translate a lovely message to me & my partner one day stating that he would love to talk to us more as he thought we was very friendly but didn’t a lot of English. He was helpful, friendly & very happy & Thavorn is lucky to have him. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much & would love to return.

The resort was one of the best I have ever seen! Experience to remember forever! It’s a huge property with trees gardens flowers huge lagoon pool and nice private beach with palm trees! Such a tranquil place! Ideal for families also with kids

The resort was great in some aspects but not so great in others. Overall, it was nice but not worth the price paid. When we checked in our room was dirty, drink spills all over and splatters on the walls in the bathroom. After calling, housekeeping cleaned but the room was still deeply dirty, dingy and outdated. We ended up switching rooms, we booked an ocean view but this room's view was minimal. The new room was much better maintained with a great view. The hassle of the whole first night and then having to check out and check back in was not ideal, though. The best part of the hotel were the grounds and pool area, they were stunning and almost redeemed the entire stay. The food was eh. Breakfast had a great selection. Food and drinks from the ocean front bar were decent but the two times we tried dinner at the main restaurant they both were really bad meals. If I stayed again I would check out the room before checking in and plan to eat somewhere else.

The cocktails were absolutely fabulous! We enjoyed the swim up bar and lounging on the beach. We also loved that they bring out little pigs and bunnies and tortoises to feed twice a day! Just awesome! All the staff are beyond amazing! Lovely, friendly people that go above and beyond to accommodate you. Special thanks to Mercedes and Mind at reception. They make you feel just so welcome and like you never want to leave! We will definitely be back for sure!
