Smart 5* hotel on Regent Street
Particularly liked the guest WhatsApp, thanks to Marcela and Hiu who were helpful with our requests. Good double glazing so suite quiet. Breakfast average, not sure I'd take it if it were not included with the room. Afternoon tea is fabulous!
Incredible stay & service
We had the most incredible stay at Hotel Cafe Royal for my birthday! The room, spa & service were impeccable. Most importantly, Maria and the Guest relations team went above and beyond, making our stay extra special with many thoughtful details!
Thank you so much!
We called in on spec for coffee but could not resist the cakes. The cheesecake was fantastic. The best I've ever had. I rarely post reviews but it was so beautiful I had to share it, the review, certainly NOT the cheesecake. The staff were lovely and sooo obliging

Myself and now Fiancé had the most amazing stay at Hotel Cafe Royal. I will start by staying this hotel has outstanding facilities and rooms. I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend.
I had pre warned the hotel that I planned to propose to my partner during our stay, which got me in contact with Pearson from the guest relations team. He took all my requests on board and made everything better than I could have imagined. I don’t think I’ve ever had service this dedicated and passionate before in London, and I’ve visited and stayed at some of the other big name hotels in the area!
Thank you to everyone at Cafe Royal for making our engagement so special, and again a special thanks to Pearson.

We have just completed our third stay at this excellent hotel for 4 nights.
From arrival to departure every aspect was 100% perfect.
Valet parking and luggage handled well, a great breakfast and every member of staff we encountered presented a polite, professional and friendly demeanour.
This hotel prices itself up with the best in London - and it delivers.
Hopefully we will be back in July 2025- if the price is right!

We were sat in Oscar Wilde’s table and were treated to the most sumptuous sandwiches and cakes. Our waiter Showmo certainly took great care of us and was very clever at choosing the right tea for each part of our experience and made it feel as though we were travelling through Asia. He was very attentive and explained all the elements so well. Thank you Showmo and The Cafe Royal for making my birthday so special. We will definitely be back 5 star ⭐ service

A great hotel in a great location!
We have been looking to find our “home” in London and I suspect this could be it.
You arrive in the beating heart of London, you are greeted with warm welcomes and a glass of champagne.
We were booked into a Junior suite and it was a great space for London with a huge welcome lobby. We were celebrating a birthday and the hotel made sure they stepped up. Balloons, decorations, sweet treats and champagne waiting.
The room was well appointed and comfortable, with great room controls. This room is well kept and maintained.
Breakfast was attentive and tasty, this is so often where London hotels fall down, this did not.
We did our usual shopping and for once it was no taxi back to the hotel but a short walk.
We would recommend and return.

We had an amazing stay at the Hotel Cafe Royal. It’s a really interesting hotel. The lobby and common spaces are very traditional, while the hallways and rooms are very modern. The bar and dining room split the difference, being devoted to British Rock, especially David Bowie. I was astonished to hear a track from the 801 live album playing at breakfast one morning- that’s a deep dive. The concierges were amazing. They went far above and beyond, wrangling last minute restaurant reservations, making sure that we were squared away with our Uber, etc… The room was very modern. It was dead quiet, you couldn’t hear a thing from the outside world. There was a Nespresso machine in the room that came in very handy. The only minor negative was the lighting system. It was dark in our room, even with all of the lights on. It was hard to maneuver from the bed to the bathroom in the dark. Every night I left the bathroom lights on and they turned themselves off at some point. A couple of more lumens in the top and a night light would be appreciated. The hotel’s location is fabulous. It’s walk to many of the major attractions in London. There’s a convenient bus that from near the hotel to Harrod’s and it’s a 10 or 15 minute walk to an Uber Boat, which is a fun way to get to the London Neidfe and Borough Hall. We were upgraded and had breakfast included. The dining room is lovely and the staff were very nice and accommodating. Prices are a bit steep, but it’s a nice place for a leisurely meal.
The Hotel Cafe Royal will be our go to place the next time that we visit London.

So accommodating! They got us dinner reservations at the most sought after places. They created an itinerary for us based on our desires. They made it all look effortless! They even arranged a car and drive to get us to Cardiff for a musical concert and dinner. The bathroom was fabulous! The large marble bathtub.is the best one I’ve ever been in! TL;DR: review: True hospitality isn't dead and Hotel Café Royal proves it.Our 15th anniversary stay at Hotel Café Royal was everything I hope for in an aspirational, spoil-you-rotten, live-like-a-celebrity trip. From the junior suite upgrade and thoughtful anniversary treats to the exceptional concierge, luxurious spa, and even small touches like high-quality toiletries and flawless turndown service—every detail exceeded expectations.
FULL review: From the moment we arrived, the service felt both effortless and extraordinary. Anas, our luxury transport driver, set the tone with his warmth and professionalism—AND kindly saw us back home on our return airport transfer, as well! Johan greeted us at the door with a genuine smile and clear enthusiasm for the hotel’s history—giving us a thoughtful tour and introducing us to our room. Andros handled every door and every bag with a smile, making us feel instantly cared for. On departure day, Mustafa managed our bags, transfer, and final details with impressive diligence and precision—keeping us perfectly updated on the timing of our luxury car service and making sure everything went off without a hitch.
We were thrilled to be surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite as an anniversary treat. Romantic sweets were waiting for us—along with fun Ascot-themed confections that made us laugh. The room itself was another reason we chose Hotel Café Royal—I fell in love with the playful, swinging 60s vibe of the wood-paneled suite, which made me feel like a mid-century superspy living my best glamorous London life.
The minibar snacks, especially the indulgent candied nuts, were such a treat. Room service exceeded every expectation—the Thai veggie green curry and Japanese chicken sando were sensory delights. Breakfast was equally memorable, with a scrumptious bircher muesli and refreshing carrot and green juices that felt like just what we needed to start the day right.
The Akasha Spa was another highlight—luxurious and deeply relaxing. I had an amazing deep tissue hot stone massage that left me completely restored, and the lovely dry hammam was the perfect way to unwind afterward.
Plenty of amenities, flawless daily cleaning and turndown, and YES even two-ply toilet paper! I may sound silly, but the fact that Hotel Café Royal doesn't cheap out on even the smallest details highlights their commitment to your comfort. The in-room shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all high quality—none of that overly drying stuff so many hotels still use. So many places have cut corners or scaled back post-pandemic—avoiding turndown service, limiting housekeeping, stocking fewer in-room snacks, or swapping out linens and toiletries for cheap alternatives. Hotel Café Royal did the exact opposite. They leaned all the way back into the art of hospitality, reminding us what great hotels used to be… and proving it’s still possible when a property really cares.
The concierge team went above and beyond—securing last-minute Michelin reservations, handling every random question and request with patience and care. I probably didn’t need to plan an itinerary at all… theirs would’ve been better anyway.
I love booking what I call “aspirational” vacations—where I pretend to live like a celebrity for a few days. Hotel Café Royal made that whole dream feel completely real. They treated us like royalty and made this anniversary more magical than we ever could have hoped for!

This hotel is centrally located, walking distance from everything. We loved the layout of the room and the modern design. The bathroom was really nice, all marble.
The cheesecake that is the speciality from Cake and bubbles downstairs is fantastic - we ate it twice, really worth a visit.
The concierge are really helpful, happy to suggest alternative ideas for activities. We recommend the Cartier exhibit if you visit while that is showing.
We just loved our stay here - the hotel was quiet, modern, clean. The housekeeping staff were great. We placed a dry cleaning request and that came back by 7pm no problem.
We would stay here again and have already started thinking about when we can return to London and this hotel!
