A wonderful afternoon high tea in the Gallery

Coming back to the Gallery, a new vibrant space taking hints from the previous Thames Foyer, was a joyous event. It maintains the serenading pianist, now moved away from the central glass dome. Hints of the previous dance space are echoed in the paintings on the wall. The seats are comfortable, the ambience relaxed & most enjoyable. We had the most wonderful & attentive hostess, Ione. She was helped by Marcel. Both were engaging and seamless in their service. We did not need to ask for anything as she gave with an amazing smile. We started with finger sandwiches which were packed full of flavour. I had a cheeky second round because I couldn't resist the coronation chicken. This was followed by the hot course. We chose the scallops topped with Petrossian caviar. It was delicate, flavoursome & delicious. Our tier of sweets & scones were next, presented in a modern version of the pastry tier stand. The scones were light accompanied by jam, cream & lemon curd. A combination I had never tried & would highly recommend. The cakes & pastries were a delight & packed a punch in flavour. We tried various teas during the afternoon, all individual flavours, my favourite was the Red Dragon. A dark tea with a wholesome fresh taste. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves & thank our hosts Ione, Marcel & the Gallery team as a whole. They made our day trip to London a very memorable one.

An amazing weekend stay at the Savoy. From the moment you arrive and are greeted by the door attendants you know you are in for an amazing experience. All of the staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and go out of their way to assist. We stayed in a lovely junior suite, it was so spacious. The bed was really comfortable, one of the best we have slept in. There were beautiful mince pies waiting for us and a stocked mini bar. Breakfast at the hotel is sublime, a real treat. One of the best we have had. The newly renovated Gallery restaurant is so elegant with a beautiful sky light and comfortable seating. The hotel was decadently decorated for Christmas.

Afternoon tea at The Savoy was a truly special experience and the perfect way to celebrate a birthday. Using a voucher for the occasion, we were treated to a delightful selection of food in the most elegant surroundings. The sandwiches and scones were particularly outstanding - fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The variety of teas available was impressive, offering something for every taste. Service was formal yet friendly, striking the right balance between professionalism and warmth. Our table was in a corner near the waiter station, but the staff were considerate and mindful of the guests nearby, ensuring a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The space itself is stunning, adding to the sense of occasion. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, making for a truly memorable birthday treat. Highly recommended for a touch of luxury and indulgence.

Was welcomed to reception and seen to my room on arrival, the room was very quiet, had a large bathroom with amazing shower. Headed to the spa for a pregnancy massage with Katie who was a very good therapist and left feeling very relaxed. Attended the savoy for an event in the ballroom which is stunning. Had the best sleep in a long time after requesting extra pillows which arrived in minutes. Ordered in room Dining which arrived very quickly. All the staff at the hotel were very kind and helpful. Then finished my stay being welcomed to the Savoy Rolls Royce where the driver took my bags from reception and saw me to the vehicle for the drive home. The driver was very professional and the Rolls Royce was immaculately presented and very comfortable. Much needed overnight break in London in a stunning hotel.

Checked-in for afternoon tea and an overnight say to round off our holiday in London The reception check-in and out was excellent, handled by experts and we were swiftly escorted to our room. Despite having prepaid for breakfast it did not appear on hotel’s system. This was quickly rectified. The room was of superb quality, mattress, furnishings etc as you would expect and with a view to a rear alleyway. The en-suite was not a bathroom but a wet room set up for persons who would require assistance with the facilities. We did not request this. As we were only staying for one night, we did not request to be moved. The vegetarian full breakfast the next morning was very satisfying. Afternoon tea was excellent with outstanding food and tea selection and service. The location added to the enjoyable pleasure of the occasion. They did seem to have a problem with their card payment machine and actually offered to waive payment. We declined !!! and signed for the charge to be added to our room.

Every time I visit London I stay in The Savoy. Not just because of the location, which is right in the middle of Theatreland, but also for the staff that make the hotel run so well. With Tony welcoming you at the door, Nikola bringing the bags to the room, and Darren finding tickets to shows you just can't get tickets to (how did he find me those tickets to The Seagull?) everything is just so comfortable. For me there is no other hotel in London even worth considering.

From start to finish our stay was amazing. Our room was ready for us when we arrived at the hotel at about 10am which was fantastic. The room itself was very art deco, high ceilings and beautifully furnished. The bed and pillows were extremely comfy and the turn down service each night was a real treat. The hotel was spotless and staff really couldn't do enough. We treated ourselves to breakfast in The River Room - a real treat and beautiful with the sun shining through. The American Bar is a must and it was nice to have the reading room. The only hiccup we had was with our bill when checking out- someone had added their drinks in The American Bar to our room number!! However, this was quickly resolved and deducted from our bill with an apology. Our stay was a fantastic experience.
