This was our 3rd time staying here and to be honest I think the last as I feel they dont appreciate returning customers and also nothing has improved or changed since we first stayed there. Also it annoyed us when check - in they gave us the welcome drink and warm cloths which and almost instantly requested for us to move into another room to check in and we thought it was due to us been returning customer and we were gonna get a upgrade which was not the case so we didnt even get to use our cloths or drink and was just checked - in. First of all the breakfast is just amazing really good and has something for everyone but the two cooks both female behind the egg station were rude. 2 mornings in a row I requested poached eggs soft and they took them out of a pot and there were cold this happened two mornings in a row on our second week and I just didn't bothered ordering again as when I requested them to cook them fresh they declined just put them in boiling water to reheat and served to me again it was not good enough. I felt this time in our room there was alot of mosquitos and they did give us a plug in for a room but i got bitten a good few times in our room. Our cleaner was only amazing and when we asked her she us to spray it and it defiantly helped and even left us two mosquito bottle sprays she was super. Next the pool area its boring to say the least the really could do something with the drinks in the pool they have been the exact same since we have starting going there served in plastic well used glasses they could monderise the menu as compared to the other hotel we stayed in patong they had alot better options and glasses. The staff that work in the pool bar only talk to each other and are not friendly or polite it seems like they are doing you a favour. Also the sun beds could do with a clean Its a great location only a 10 min walk from the beach and bangla but its missing something the staff dont seem to be as good as previous or dont care not sure which it is.

Questionable value, large pool, good location, large breakfast and dinner area, lobby areas are too warm with insufficient fans and no air-condition, maintenance is only OK, rooms need an urgent refresh, too many young kids yelling to be considered a premium resort.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was on 6th floor and in a quiet location as requested prior to arrival. The hotel and rooms are spotless and breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. The pool area is kept clean...

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was on 6th floor and in a quiet location as requested prior to arrival. The hotel and rooms are spotless and breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. The pool area is kept clean and pool towels available, we only spent one day during our stay by the pool as there was limited sun so we took advantage of the beach towels from the hotel concierge desk and walked the 15 mins to the main beach. The hotel is in a quiet location with a ten minute walk to Bangla Road and the shopping malls and if you want quieter bars the street opposite the hotel is a good choice. We went to Hectic Bar every evening as our last port of call and the owners and staff are amazing and really friendly. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel ask for a credit/debit card on arrival and take £240 from you in case you spend anything in the hotel. We used a debit card as don’t use credit cards and the money wasn’t pending it came straight out of our account. When we questioned this with reception we were advised nothing would be debited unless we made a purchase and a refund would be given within a month of returning home. However, when we checked out we had spent £83 on late checkout room and 2 x Coke Zero during our stay and were told this would be deducted from the credit we were due back on our debit card. We were fine with this and went on our transfer to the airport. After arriving home we have now had the original £240 + £83 taken from our card and although my husband has sent proof directly to the hotel the refund of the correct amount has not be acknowledged and we’ve not had any further communication. This is extremely disappointing and unacceptable and has spoilt the experience we had in the hotel. We want to warn other travellers of this as we had no communication about these charges prior to our travels and in future will travel with a credit card not debit card as apparently the charges are set at pending and not deducted from your account.

We stayed at this hotel in one of their 1 bed pool villas which we booked based on the photos on the hotels website. To start with we were very impressed with the villa. They look fantastic but we soon found that it wasn't possible to have a bath as when you ran just the hot tap most of the water didn't go into the bath because of the way they had the taps set up. If you turn the cold tap on then there's more pressure & the water goes in the bath but then it's not warm enough The bed was like sleeping on the floor, it was very hard. Your given 2 pillows each which for us was too much but then found 1 wasn't really enough & we kept waking up with a crooked neck. We were really looking forward to using our own pool but even though we had plenty of very hot & sunny days we had very little sun in our private outdoor area & the pool was freezing cold. We couldn't even really sit outside as the room only had a double sun bed no chairs or table like we saw at other villas. Based on the photos we saw the villa appeared to get the sun maybe some of the others do but ours didn't due to its location. We had breakfast every day which was very nice with plenty of choices. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. Our room was cleaned daily & they left us mosquito repellent which was very kind of them. The hotel is in a very good location with bars & shops/market just over the room. We didn't eat at the hotel of an evening as we found it to be rather expensive as were the drinks. 80 tbh for a can of coke, 300 tbh for a bottle of beer. You can get the same beer over the road for 100 at one of the bars sometimes even less.

This is the perfect hotel for relaxing after all the hustle and bustle of Patong, lovely rooms, lovely pools and comfy sunbeds. Breakfast was clean and fresh and we only had cocktails because we ate outside resort every night. The only thing I missed was a balcony,

Unexpectedly good! We just booked for a couple of nights to break up our trip to Phi Phi island. We knew it was a good place, but we were surprised on how much we enjoyed our time. Food was really good, Spa was priced pretty well (we know you always pay more at a hotel!). Thip (Spa) was amazing ... she really looked after my wife and was very good at shoulder, back and feet massages. Location is great, as its close but not on top of the main strip ... so you can sort of escape when you need to! Its also across the road from on of the night markets, which was good. We had the pool access room and it gave us a great extra living area to be able to sit out near the pool.

We spent 9 days at the grand mecure, resort was very good and clean. The staff in the resturant where all exceptional, expecially, Moo, Kai & Jasmine.😁. Centrally located in patong ,very close to all amenities, the house keeping staff are very friendly and give a happy feeling

However the service staff were always smiling The hotel is positioned nicely for outside restaurants and shopping and the beach Highly recommend this hotel

Just having returned after our 4th stay at the Grand Mercure Patong, we can say it was a s good as ever. Sebastian and team are outstanding hosts , Sita and reception team, Deer, Moo, Jasmin and all the breakfast team could not be more friendly, professional and accommodating… a real home from home. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and well maintained from all the staff, rooms are well equipped with very comfortable beds. Pool access rooms are very convenient… Locations is very convenient for all local attractions and all beaches, Phuket Old Town a short cab ride away. Would we go back….100%. Thank you Seb and all 👌👌👍🙏

2 week stay here after reading other reviews we decided to book, it was the right decision. The staff always greeted you with a smile and made us feel welcomed and special. we made sure we respected the staff and used our badic Thai which they warmly appreciated. we were greeted on arrival with a welcome drink and a lovely receptionist that seemlessly checked us in. From the staff like Tan in the morning and the noodle counter lady, kate in the bar and the room maids, everyone was so professional. we highly reccomend this hotel, its a perfect location in Patong, central to night market, bars and restaurants a plenty and 5 mins walk to Bangla road or the beach. The only 2 negatives was the room was a little dark, and the shower leaked over the bath everytime wetting the floor of the bathroom. That said, its nothing that would stop us coming here again. 5 star service, fantastic staff, great food, thank you!!

This was my 5th. time at Grand Mercure Patong - and yes, we will still keep coming. The loyalty to us as returning guests is unbelievable and we want to thank Sita in the reception for - once again - arrange everything easily and nicely for us - and also for keep surprising us with nice unexpected levels of services. In the restaurant, called Bubbles, we had our breakfasts and dinners every day, with huge satisfaction of the food and the almost personalized services from New and her team. Ploy and Kai in the evenings was doing nicely well and comforting service and the many people in the mornings that recognized us and remembered our habits was a delight, Kuhn Pen, Kai, Deer, Jasmin, Earn, Ronnie and many more should be mentioned here. Especially I would like to mention Fon, who we have seen grow from being new and unexperienced to now thriving and working so well and naturally taking charge of the overview and pleasantly show the guests to their seats with her never ending smile - a true ‘light’. Kuhn Mae that are bellman and driver also deserves extra credits for always walking the extra mile for us to satisfy our needs with what it might be. We hope to see all of you at the team at Grand Mercure Patong again next time we arrive.

This is our 2nd time at the Grand Mecure staying in a one bed pool villa and it didn't disappoint. Every member of staff we met were smiling and giving a great service. Special mentions to Nas who on seeing my mobility problems on arrival went out of his way to arrange an easy access ramp into our villa we were totally shocked. Fon in main restaurant always made sure we were well accommodated for and it was great to see her covering the VIP lounge when the wonderful Nan was on her days off. The lounge bar was great amazing cocktails and gin nights, we love happy hour thank you Dao, Kate, U and Tan. Our cleaners kept us amused with their towel art we appreciated the lovely flowers you left us. HK, Ann, Ymg. The buffet nights in bubbles restaurant aside from great value are exceptional The main pool is spotless not overcrowded and it's pleasant to go somewhere where you don't have to worry about sunbeds no matter what time you went to main pool area you would always get a bed plus plenty of umbrellas. Food at bounce bar is plentiful the fish and chips and satays are huge. Location easy access for shopping at OTOP market and Juan Ceylong. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. We last stayed at this hotel 5 years ago Covid was looming in the background and we had to return home 2 days early we always said we would return and so glad we did the hotel is even better. Majority of staff are long term which says an awful lot Thank you for a fantastic stay we will see you all again

As always a special thank you to the team of Oil, Bambi and Sita, for ensuring a smooth arrival, helping me with various requests before and throughout my stays, and making a very late checkout possible on my day of departure.

Very good option for central Patong. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Despite being in the centre of everything, it’s very quiet. We never heard any outside noise. Nice, friendly, clean hotel with good amenities. Would definitely stay here again.
