What to say about the Yellow Bird? Everything about this hotel is perfect … small and friendly with beautiful views and very clean. Carol-Ann and her team work so hard and they make the hotel very special. Have been twice and am hoping very much to return for a third time next year too.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the Yellow Bird Hotel. We stayed at the little rooms with kitchens right next to the main hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They will help book any sort of excursion and are very helpful with recommendations for the island. The pool was lovely with sun loungers and the water was warm enough to swim in. The view of the ocean just outside was great. The only negative thing was the noise from the nearby bars/clubs. Most nights there was pretty loud music that would end around midnight. However, our very last night was a Friday night and there was louder than usual DJ music until 4 am. It was so loud it felt like they were in the living room. We did not get much sleep because of the noise that night and had to get up for an early flight. The other weekday nights the music didn't bother us as much, I'm sure its just much louder and longer since it was a Friday night. Other than that it was a wonderful place to stay.

Our second visit. Little has changed. Charming hotel. As clean as an operating theatre. Nice, large rooms, all with excellent views. Staff exceptional. Only negative. Can be affected by loud music from nearby club/ restaurant from 9pmto 2am. Will affected light sleepers. Hotel cannot improve this as outside their control.

They are the most friendly happy bunch of people we have ever met on a holiday. A big shout out to Monique on reception one of the loveliest person you could wish to meet . Some noise at night from some bars and but it’s not every night . It hasn’t put us off booking again .

Great little hotel, superbly located for the sea views, bars and restaurants with really friendly staff who serve with a smile. Very clean spacious rooms offering a beautiful view over the small bay giving exceptional sunsets every night. No complaints at all and will stay here again next January. Only small bit of advice is if at all possible, avoid staying in one of the rwo ground floor rooms which offer a severely compromised view.

We stayed at the Yellow bird Hotel during the Men's T20 world cup. The hotel was busy, but that did not detract from the excellent service the staff provided. We have stayed at The Yellow Bird since 2021, and have now become repeat visitors, and we don't see that changing. We normally stay on the 1st floor but stayed on the ground floor. It was a great room, it was clean, and had everything that we needed. We used the restaurant a lot, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner there on different days. The food was great and so was the service. The hotel is only a short walk from the beaches, great restaurants and nightlife. We would like to thank the staff, who really made our stay a holiday to remember. Our cleaners Sonia and Laurel, The reception staff Dashawn, Monique and Michelle. We can't forget Jamal and Kofi who helped with our luggage and repairs. The other staff who worked in the hotel and Restaurant Sherellanne, Lisa, Carolanne, Justin, Sydney, Audley, Peddrina and Tia.

We stopped here for 2 weeks for our honeymoon Wonderful hotel, location and staff. Everything about the hotel is spot on, the staff are always smiling and happy to engage with customers. Bar and restaurant area is lovely fresh and modern and looks out onto the sea and is a lovely place for eating and drinking. The restaurant is really good quality and decent value and well worth trying. The rooms are big and spacious, if I wanted to be critical I could say a little dated but that wasn't an issue for us. The rooms were kept spotless by the housekeeping team who worked tirelessly in the heat. Really good WiFi whilst we stopped Plenty of free parking withing the hotel complex if you decide too hire a care on your holiday Only a couple of minutes walk from the main strip of the gap, and 1 min from getting a bus and 5 mins walk to Worthing beach Would we come back? This is our second visit to this hotel and it didn't disappoint. The rooms are spotless and very well equipped. We enjoyed the pool area. Its very easy to walk to the restaurants and bars and we felt very safe. The front desk staff (Monique and Michelle, in particular) and the housekeeping staff work tirelessly. We felt the bar staff were a little less friendly and we felt an inconvenience asking them for drinks. (They were on their phones or eating a meal at the opposite end of the bar and it often took several minutes to get their attention). We look forward to returning next year.

We have started to stay at the Yellow Bird in the last 3 years. Its a great hotel that offers everything you need. The room has cooking facilities, cooker, microwave, kettle and full size fridge, and coffee maker. The bedroom is tastefully decorated and suited to the beautiful Caribbean ocean front view outside your patio. We have stayed on the upper floor, and this time on the lower floor. My husband prefers the upper floor as he can have a nosey outside. The onsite restaurant is very good, we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinners there. The staff are welcoming, and kind and we see the same staff on our return visits and have made friends. We always receive a warm welcome, and know must of the staff by first name. we would like to thank Sonia for keeping our room so clean and Laurel. Reception staff Dashawn, Monique, Michelle for welcoming us with a beautiful smile. Jamal & Kofi for helping us with our luggage and maintenance in our room. We can't forget Sherelleanne, Lisa, Carolanne, Justin, Sydney, Audley, Peddrina & Tia. The staff make the stay more enjoyable, they are full of advice and recommendations. The hotel is located close to restaurants, bars and beaches. You can walk to must restaurants, bars and beaches. We felt very safe walking to and from bars late at night. We look forward to our return visit soon.

We highly recommend this apartment hotel! We stayed in a room with kitchenette. Good size, nice bathroom, okay size balcony with table and chairs. Very clean rooms, good and friendly housekeeping. If you like Saint Lawrence Gap (and we do!) this is a good location. Close to the main street...

We highly recommend this apartment hotel! We stayed in a room with kitchenette. Good size, nice bathroom, okay size balcony with table and chairs. Very clean rooms, good and friendly housekeeping. If you like Saint Lawrence Gap (and we do!) this is a good location. Close to the main street leading in to town with busses that run all the time, but the noise from the traffic was not bad at all. All staff were VERY friendly - we even came in the same day as hurricane Beryl was to hit Barbados during the night, and still we were welcomed with calm, smiles and we felt safe and looked after. The restaurant and bar is small and cosy, and the food is really good bajan food and not expensive at all. The beach in front of the hotel is okay for a short dip and very good beaches can be found 5 minutes walk down Saint Lawrence Gap.

All staff were very welcoming and helpful. This gem of a hotel is sat at the beginning of st Lawrence gap so handy for all the nightlife . I would highly recommend this gorgeous peaceful hotel . Stayed at yellow bird hotel from the 8th to the 12th of June. Customer service, bar and the pool was 10/10. The front desk staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping was there everyday. Will recommend if anyone going to Barbados

We stayed in a fourth floor suite at the Yellow Bird on our dive vacation; it was spacious and clean. The location is very convenient to excellent restaurants farther down the street. The staff was wonderful and everything was easy. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant every morning before diving, and they took good care of us. Very nice hotel, top notch staff. We'd stay there again. There is no elevator, so book a lower level room if stairs are a problem for you.

We stayed at the Yellow Bird in April when we came to Barbados for our honeymoon, and we knew to expect good things based on the previous reviews, however this hotel blew us away. It’s in a perfect location with beautiful views of St Lawrence Bay from every room, and ideal for heading out to the bars and restaurants. Every single member of staff made us feel so welcome, everybody is so friendly and caring, when you leave you feel like you’re leaving friends behind. The Yellow Bird was perfect for everything we needed, chilled delicious breakfasts, a calm base within walking distance to top spots and a bus stop on the corner for those further away places, and exceptionally clean rooms. I unfortunately sprained my ankle while in Barbados, but having the staff cheer me on, smile with me through the pain and encourage me with each day how it got better made it seem not quite so bad! This was our first time to Barbados and the Yellow Bird but we will absolutely be back! We could not recommend this hotel enough.

Conveniently located near many restaurants. My greatest beef, and it goes for everywhere I went in Barbados, was the lack of a decent cappuccino. Almost nobody has an espresso machine, so that is the first thing I’d advise the owner to invest in. Keep coffee achievers like myself happy, I know I’m not alone in my addiction.

The bed was very comfortable which is always a plus. We went to the bar/restaurant and just had drinks which included a welcome cocktail. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The location is great just at the start of the gap with plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance as was the beach. The pool is not very big but adequate with beds. Only there for 36 hours but had a great time and would definitely recommend a visit

This place the Yellow Bird Hotel St Lawrence Gap, Christ Church Barbados is little piece of paradise. We arrived on the 9th for 9 days for my partner’s 60th birthday celebration and was met with a lovely warm welcome after a very long flight by a lovely lady on reception called Monique whom got us all checked in, in no time whatsoever. We we’re then taken to our room on the top floor room 405 by a young guy called German whom was ever so polite and helpful and really hardworking, the room had a perfect view of the sea with a lovely bottle of red wine awaiting for us which was a lovely touch from the team at the Yellow Bird. Our whole stay there was perfect with the help of all the Yellow Bird staff which nothing was ever any trouble even when we needed a replacement iron for the room or information about where to go and getting around Barbados as this was our first time on the island. A special mention goes out to a wonderful lady called Michelle on reception who was always there to help us whenever we needed advice on anything at all and is an absolute credit to the Yellow Bird Hotel and we will hopefully see Michelle again upon our return Barbados at the Yellow Bird hotel in the hopefully very near future. And also a big thank you to the Bar guy Irvine and all the bar and kitchen team run by Cheryl -Ann for their complete hospitality at On The Bay restaurant. A big thank you to the maids for keeping our room 405 spotless and to an extremely high standard every single day that we were there. We salute you Yellow Bird will certainly be seeing you all again! Conveniently located in St. Lawrence Gap, this clean, modern facility is staffed by a wonderful, helpful group of employees whose efforts make your stay truly enjoyable. Monique or Michelle are at reception to greet you and help you get oriented. There are four floors and each had a small private balcony. The rooms are very clean and have all the expected amenities. There is no elevator however Anderson or Jamel will happily carry your luggage to whichever floor/room you have reserved. Cheryl and Sonia also made us feel at home during our stay. There is restaurant in the hotel as well as a bar. Numerous other eating establishments are within easy walking distance in The Gap. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay at the Yellowbird on our next visit to Barbados.

We booked Yellow Bird Hotel for our Anniversary/Birthday trip this year. The views of the ocean from our patio doors were beautiful. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite!! The housekeeping staff kept the room pristine clean which was very much appreciated. The location is directly in the St. Lawrence Gap which is within walking distance to stores, gift shops, nice restaurants as well as nightlife! Airport was about 15min away which was on a straight path from Yellow Bird hotel. We had a fabulous time exploring Barbados and so will you!!

We loved it here. Perfect location with stunning views over the bay and right on the doorstep of bars and restaurants. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Pool area is small but very clean. Rooms are comfortable and have everything you need for your stay and a special shoutout to the cleaning staff who kept it immaculate. Food in the restaurant is good although we only ate in there on a couple of occasions. A great base for exploring the island

Yellow bird hotel , where to start . Welcome at hotel was fun, lots of smiles and a beautiful bajan welcome drink to kick off our stay . 20 room hotel perfect size for personal attention and interaction with all the staff at the hotel. Great location and view to the beach & sea are incredible. We loved our lower level room 102 as it gave garden and straight access to the pool . Higher floors afford a better sea view but ground level in my view didn’t diminish the view . The rooms are big,comfortable, great bathroom, huge bed , kitchen area to cook if you wish, big fridge , Safe in room you really have it all and great AC but the best part is cleanliness it’s spotlessly clean and meticulously cleaned every single day buy awesome team . The bar area is relaxing spot with great staff , happy hrs 12-1 & 5-6 a must to take advantage of . Good standard of hotel food , especially breakfast and very reasonably priced for Barbados location. Pool area is compact but excellent, cleaned daily and perfect temperature. Lastly and most importantly the staff Cheryl and her wonderful team are just brilliant and made our holiday into a very special memory the entire team from front desk, bar, restaurant, housekeeping and management are a true credit to the hotel and Barbados. Where do I even begin. Upon looking for a place to stay for my upcoming travels to Barbados, I stumbled upon the Yellowbird hotel. Looking at the pictures online of the hotel, it looked very well kept and had amazing views of the ocean. I just want to say, that this hotel is an ocean view and not an ocean front. Upon arriving at the hotel, my first thought was "oh my God" and not in a good way. The area that the hotel is in (St. Lawrence Gap) looks run down and thinking back to the pictures online, didn't meet my expectations. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so if you have a ton of luggage, good luck carrying all of that up to the top floors. The room was pleasant for a basic hotel in the Caribbean, but nothing to write home about. It was equipped with a kitchen that had silverware, cups, plates, fridge, microwave, etc. so that was nice. The bed was a little firm which was good for me, but not for my g/f. The stench of the sargassum that washes up on the shoreline each day, made it very hard to sit outside on the balcony without getting the occasional whiff. The bar/restaurant was nothing impressive either. When we arrived, we decided to go and get something to eat after unpacking our stuff. I wish we would've went somewhere else! It literally took almost an hour to get two hamburgers and fries!? There were only 2 other people in the bar area?!? The waitress could have cared less about us and kept talking to one of her friends the entire time and not asking us if we needed anything. Very unprofessional! But when it was time to pay the bill, of course she was all about tending to that. Throughout the week, we witnessed tons of homeless outside on the street right by the hotel, screaming and cursing at each other at late hours of the night. The hotel has night time security for a reason, to keep the homeless from entering the property. Every time we left the hotel, we were constantly bombarded with locals/homeless asking us for money or to buy something, even when we were at the pool area. Most of the staff were rude and just didn't seem to care that we were there spending money. Most of the island seemed that way honestly. Barbados has to be one of the most unfriendliest places I have visited in some time. Of course you will always have your bad apples anywhere you go, but it seemed like every restaurant or place we went, everyone just seemed to turn their nose up to tourists. The only positive thing I can give Yellowbird hotel is that, it is centrally located to restaurants that are within reasonable walking distance. Even though you will spend an arm and a leg for food, you have tons of choices on cuisines. My recommendation is to book an all inclusive and at least you will have beach front access and meals/drinks included and won't have to worry about homeless/locals approaching you when you leave your room. For the price of food in Barbados, I wish we would have just booked an all inclusive resort stay and we would have probably spent much less in the long run. If you are only staying one, maybe two nights, then yellowbird may not be that bad of an option for you, but if you are looking to come to Barbados on holiday, then book an all inclusive resort!

This was our first visit to the Yellow Bird Hotel, having stayed in the area on several previous holidays. We received a very warm reception on our arrival and this continued throughout our stay, with all the staff greeting us in a friendly manner each day. Our room (304) was spotless, as was the hotel. There is an an amazing view of St Laurence Bay from our balcony. The restaurant is clean and modern with an excellent menu and we tried several dishes on different days and we're never disappointed, as the meals were always delicious. We had a little difficulty using the sunbeds and parasols as there was a clear shortage. There is a lovely garden next to the swimming pool in which more sunbeds and shades could be placed. We'd like to thank the Manager and all the staff for enabling us to have a wonderful holiday, as we have never been treated so well before.

We had 10 nights at the Yellow Bird Hotel. Our experience was amazing from start to finish. Each room has a great view over the bay ,well equipped with the basics for morning coffee, light snacks , oven , hob and microwave if you choose to stay in and eat . The rooms were cleaned daily and coffee tea provided in generous amounts . The reception team were friendly and very helpful for information and booking excursions should you require. The pool area is bejou but well kept , we always managed to get a bed as they have a 30 minute rule for unoccupied beds (stops the towels being left all day) We would definitely recommend this hotel for an all round great holiday thanks to all the lovely staff . The food was delicious. And it was lovely to sit in the restaurant with a pool and sea view. We had such a good time we plan on going back. Highly recommended.
