Triada Palm Springs

I love the small size of this hotel with excellent friendly staff. Very convenient to center of Palm Springs for restaurants and shopping. The rooms are clean and modern. Ricardo, who works in the Restaurant is a bright spot and shares his time as bartender later in the day.

The Casita that we stayed in, was very well made up. Everything in the right proportions. There was a full kitchen. The cutlery and kitchen utensils were atrocious. We did a lot of our own cooking because we wanted to. And trying to cut an onion with the chefs knife...

We did a lot of our own cooking because we wanted to. And trying to cut an onion with the chefs knife that they had ? forget about it. There was one frying pan that was it. No baking sheet no pot to make pasta nothing. Triada really must put some direct thought into resupplying their kitchens. If there’s going to be a full kitchen, that it needs to have a full compliment of good utensils.

We are loyal Marriott customers so we received the complimentary breakfast. Bernita was our waitress every morning and was outstanding. This hotel is in bad disrepair. The walls, windows, and door to the room allowed every sound from outside the room to leak in. The door to the room had gaps and did not seal the room at all. Every time we turned on the water in the bathroom sink,...

This hotel is in bad disrepair. The walls, windows, and door to the room allowed every sound from outside the room to leak in. The door to the room had gaps and did not seal the room at all. Every time we turned on the water in the bathroom sink, it smelled of sewer. The toilet became clogged and backed up into the shower. The hotel is severely understaffed with the inside bar closed for our entire 4-night stay. A sign was posted to visit the pool bar which was staffed by one person who also was the sole waiter for the indoor restaurant. The beer, wine and liquor selection is what you would expect from an inexpensive all-inclusive (which this is not). Based on this, we never ate at the restaurant. The few bright sides to our stay: 1. The location is great with walking distance to good restaurants and shopping. 2. Despite being severely understaffed, the staff we did encounter were very friendly and helpful. One individual in particular stood out. Gilbert, the lone bartender at the pool bar, who was frequently called back into the restaurant to take care of diners, was super friendly and had a great attitude despite being pulled in different directions to serve customers in different spaces. Overall, the Triada is a hotel that doesn’t seem fit to be branded as any of the many Marriott brands. The impression is one of a hotel that is very overpriced (our average night stay was $678), poorly managed, and with owners whose main concern is the bottom line and not upkeep of the property and the overall guest experience.

Had a wonderful breakfast with Brenda! Eggs, sausage, Cooked just right, super attentive! Great morning. Will definitely be coming back when I return to the desert. Always a great stay. Whole staff is always just wonderful. Ricardo always takes good care of us. Can’t get enough of those spicy bloodies!

I researched all the nicest Marriott hotels in Palm Springs (+20) area and found this gem. It’s a quaint hotel that is in a great location. Great bars and Gilbert the bartender was super entertaining. Danielle, the front office manager took great care of us too. Property had 2 pools and hot tub. Great breakfast and staff all around was great. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants.
