I finally complained after I cleaned it on the second day and was asked if I had pictures. They are under new management, use to get a free drink for every night you stayed and free breakfast. You now get nothing got the same price. Disappointed how we got treated. We came to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Dean is an awesome bartender and so is Olivia. We had a great time, don’t get me wrong. But they need to do better

Courtyard to walk your dog, poop bags and waste cans, lights, dog friendly deck for restaurant, and all the workers have pet Luna and gave her some lovin'. We've heard a couple of other dogs bark too, so she's not the only one here. Definitely a great find.

*****DO NOT STAY HERE*****
I recently stayed in the Presidential Suite at the Woodlands in Wilkes- Barre. I checked in on Friday 8/30 and stayed until Monday 9/1 with 2 adults. I checked in the night before my wedding and got everything all set up in my room and went to take a hot shower before heading to bed. To my surprise, there was NO hot water! I called down to the front desk and was told many people were experiencing the same issue. I had to take a freezing cold shower and could not relax in the jacuzzi tub that I paid for in my room. I could have saved money by getting a standard room. The only reason I decided to check in early was so I could relax the night before the biggest day of my life! Ok, I didn't have hot water but the beautiful indoor jacuzzi that's shown on the website would surely help me relax. Ha! The jacuzzi didn't even have water in it and it was closed for construction!! Why wasn't that communicated to me prior to booking?! That was a HUGE disappointment and it didn't stop there. You have a popup online that says the outdoor pool is closed for the season, you should have one stating the indoor jacuzzi, pool and shuttle are not operational also.
The next morning, I headed down to work out like I always do and the gym was closed down too. I wish I knew that beforehand so I could have at least slept in instead of getting ready to work out. Then, I headed back to my room and I was hoping there would be hot water to shower the morning of my wedding and sure enough the water was only lukewarm. That's not how I wanted to start my big day.
Fast forward to the next evening when 6 people wanted to go to the casino to celebrate us being newlyweds. I called down to reserve the shuttle and was told they're no longer providing shuttle service. At this point I was really mad!! Then both of our door cards stopped working and we couldn't get into our unit.
Two of my guests decided to extend their stay because they got an offer slid under their door along with two free drinks. The two free drinks couldn't even be used because the resort restaurants were closed the last day of their stay? Why offer two drinks if they can't even use them?
My party had 10 rooms with guests all together but the last one booked the week of the wedding so we didn't get the 10% discount.
Had I known that the indoor jacuzzi was closed, the gym was closed, there would be no hot water for two days, no shuttle service. I would not have invited the other 18 people to enjoy this "resort" with us. I'm so disappointed on how the morning of my biggest day started and the experience at the woodlands ended.
At check out, I was almost charged for an additional day and I had to point out that I'm handing in my keys and shouldn't be charged for the whole day Monday. I ended up getting refunded the $370 or whatever it was. I brought my complaints up to the woman who was checking me out and she didn't acknowledge them because she was irritated with me for pointing out her mistake on my invoice.
I'd like to come enjoy the resort when the indoor hot tub is restored but I'm not sure if I'd be willing to pay for another terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this resort at this time to anyone. It's a shame because this could have been an amazing stay.
I really HATE complaining but people need to know how terrible my stay was. If you're looking for a great place to stay, this is not the place for you.
I sent an email to the front desk thinking they would try to make things right but they never replied to my email. I'm not surprised.

The pool area does not look like the picture. We booked a non-smoking king-bed but were given two queen beds instead. We tried to get the non-smoking king-bed we booked but were told that all the king-bed rooms were sold out. The room was clean but older looking than we expected.

My husband and I arrived around 7PM on a Friday. There was a sign at the desk that said, be back in 15 minutes. We waited for a quite a while for someone to return and check us in. We were given a room at the end of the hall on the first floor. I believe there was a wedding reception or some type of party happening. We were close to the banquet room and were kept up all night due to how loud the music and guests were being. We were in town for an athletic event that we were participating in Saturday morning. We were very disgruntled by this. Why not put guests attending the wedding in that area?
The rooms are very small, musty and old. The pictures are very deceiving. The drains didn’t drain correctly and room service never came throughout the entire weekend.
There are far better places to stay besides this.

Overall condition is in shambles. Inside and out. DONT BELIEVE PICS.
Our Balcony was coming away from building. Wallpaper coming off the wall.
Outdoor pool was Shamrock GREEN! Indoor pool is in a Dungeon, is dank, and the "gym"(hahaha) was a joke. One recumbent bike, Treadmill was in pieces on the floor. Room had terrible odor. Don't think the weights have ever been wiped down.
Lighting very poor in our room (40wt bulbs in lamps), AC unit stuck in the corner so air flow terrible. Pillows small and lumpy for the king bed. Everything had dust on it. No AC in hallway. Steps steps and more steps.
Not good for seniors with mobility issues of any sort.
The included Breakfast was good, nice selection of foods& Happy Hour at the bar in the restaurant were the two best features.
Just know that they have "residents" living there full time in apartments(?) throughout building. Dogs barking, kids screaming etc. We cancelled our third night and went home early not to waste any more money. Not what they claim to be.!

DO NOT STAY HERE! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I booked the bridal suite exactly six months before my stay to celebrate my 15th wedding anniversary. I booked directly with the hotel; however, I heard nothing from them after my initial booking email, so I called the day before my stay to confirm my booking of the bridal suite. We show up, check in, and get keys to a room that is beside the check-in desk that is across from the elevators, ice machine, and lobby bathrooms. We quickly realize that we were not in the bridal suite and headed back to the front desk. Kyle at the front desk told me that's what happens when you book with a third party, which we did not. He turned his computer screen around and pointed at the screen before realizing he had the wrong reservation pulled up. Kyle raised his voice and was not interested in helping us. Then the lies started. We were told that there are two bridal suites and that one is down for mantanance and someone from the sales department called us on May 12. I pulled out my cell phone to show Kyle nobody called me and when I checked in nobody told me that I was not in the bridal suite. We heard other guests returing to the desk with complaints and everyone was told "thats what you get for booking with a third party". If working with a third party booker means poor customer service, stop working with third party vendors. They found us another room with a balcony and when we took the trek to the other building, the room we were put in had paint all over the floor, the baseboards were falling off the wall and there was a large stain on the carpet. We went back to the lobby and said that the 2nd room was not in the condition to be used. At first the manager told us he would go look and then we showed him the pictures we took to which he appologized. We get one weekend away a year and this was a horrible experience! All they needed to do was be honest with me.

Let me be clear. I haven't stayed here, but when I tried to book the bridal suite for my sons wedding in October, I had a question so I called the front desk. Idiot who answered the phone was rude, and when I thanked him for the information, he hung up with no goodbye or anything. Still going to book it, because that is where my son and future daughter in law want to stay, but not impressed so far. My advice to the property is to get better help.
