I've stayed here several times in the last year and Sutton Place has become my go-to hotel when I'm in Vancouver.
The location of this hotel can't be beat. It's walking distance to the waterfront, BC Place, Rogers Centre and lots of shopping and restaurants. It is close to a major hospital so you hear sirens regularly. It has always been quiet at night and traffic noise has not impacted my sleep.
I've stayed in a couple different types of rooms. The beds are always comfortable. The rooms are a good size with enough storage. Very clean. Nice bathroom amenities. Gym and pool are not fancy, but they are nice. It's easy to get to the seawall for a run! Gym was being refurnished when I stayed a couple weeks ago.
Last visit I upgraded to the Grande Residence, a one bedroom suite. It was so nice! Balcony, lots of room, well equipped kitchen, so quiet in that tower! I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the room more!
Vancouver is an expensive city. Sutton Place is not cheap, but it's a good value for Vancouver!

And interesting experience. Upon check-in, our party of 5 individuals was asked for a $600 deposit per day for everyone. I travel to Vancouver frequently and have stayed at the Pinnacle, Pan Pacific, the Wall Center, Westin Bayshore, the Hyatt, etc..... NEVER have I had a daily deposit requested, nor was this states when the rooms were booked. While the suite is visibly appeasing, a closer look shows a worn interior. The light fixtures in the bathroom are rusted, the wallpaper in the kitchen is peeling, and the cupboards are beat up. The pool is a journey. I wondered if that was where my documentary was going to begin. It's definitely not worth the price tag.

If a useable fridge is important, don’t stay here

Exterior is nothing special but interior is beautiful and old world, well maintained and clean. Rooms are small but nice. Lots of sirens from nearby hospital but quiet other than that. My big complaint is the mini fridge is not usable for guests. It’s full of lousy unhealthy selections and no room for anything I brought or meal leftovers. If you remove their fridge offerings to make room for your own items, you are electronically charged and have to correct it with the front desk. It bothered me so much, it would be a factor in my staying there again as eating healthy and having some options in the room is important to me.

Special thanks to the wonderful housekeeping staff and of course the best concierge team in the world.

Really lovely hotel in a great location. We were upgraded to a suite with a kitchen area and separate living room. The hotel was really comfortable and spacious with great views of the city and in walking distance to great shops and restaurants. The hop on hop off bus stop is right outside. I used the pool one day and it was really relaxing.

Had some cocktails due to the weather and not being able to get outside. The choice on the menus was superb and we asked for one that was not on the menu and this was easily accommodated.
The one downfall for us was checking in and out - we found this process painfully slow and were in line for ages!!
The location is literally less than a block from the main cbd and directly over the road from great eating establishments.

Stunning and elegant hotel in a very nice location in Vancouver. It looks especially beautiful at night with the trees lit up outside !
Bedrooms luxurious and beds comfortable.
We ate dinner in a nearby restaurant but ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was plentiful and delicious.

We stayed here for four nights on our recent holiday to Canada. We stayed in an executive which was perfect. Complimentary champagne and chocolates in our toon for our anniversary was a lovely touch. The room itself was very comfortable and had everything we wanted. Although the charges for the mini bar items was extortionate. There’s a wonderful supermarket 50 yards up the road that sells some lovely fresh food snacks. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We tried the Oyster Bar one evening for a meal, it’s expensive but well worth it for a special occasion. Likewise with breakfast there’s some lovely places nearby that are quite a bit cheaper. We’ll definitely stay here again in the future although the $50 per day for parking wasn’t very welcoming.

Worst experience. We’ve stayed on many hotels all over the world and it is sad that this is even being written. Just off a long haul flight and no sleep for 30 hours and found the shower rain head only? Pressure absolutely diabolical and no extractor fan (apparently not code?). So as a woman who has spend time on her hair you be getting it wet everyday - except the shower cap would prevent this? 🤷🏻♀️.
When tried to order room service they needed a zip code for the country I was visiting to even order it? No able to charge back to room. Not even 24 hrs had to wait until 4:30 to even place an order? Seriously if there was another hotel that we were not too exhausted to stay at then we would have. For a five star hotel not equal to others in the world we have experienced. Clearly 5 star is not that everywhere in the world 🤔
Be wary when booking look at all reviews !!

This is a great hotel ideally situated for getting around on foot and within easy walking distance of the waterfront.
We stayed here for one night on room only and arrived in the afternoon. As we were expected we were surprised that the room was not available but we were offered an upgrade providing we paid for it! Is this a normal ploy at this hotel? We declined and hey ho the room was available within 30 minutes!
The room was comfortable with a good size bathroom and shower. The only negative point was the unfriendly greeting at reception on check in. This needs improving!

There is a public carpark underneath costing a whopping $54.00 per24 hrs. The hotel is fantastic, very clean, the staff are all well dressed and mannerly. There is a large area at reception where you can sit in very comfortable seating. Lots of lifts. Disappointing that there was no Gideon Bible in the room.
There is also a small shop in the hotel where you can but juice/ snacks.
Very central to the shopping area.
In comparison with other hotels in the area The Sutton Place Hotel is very competitive, but probably more luxurious.
I would highly recommend.

We stayed just three nights. It’s a nice place to stay and the room facilities were great. The staff were very pleasant and efficient too. The kitchenette meant we could cook when we did not wish to eat out. The hotel is quiet and we enjoyed our stay. It’s a couple of blocks from the metro and buses run to downtown outside. You can walk to the waterfront in 15 minutes. There is a really nice supermarket next door.

The hotel was very comfortable but we only stayed one night and never really got the chance to use any of the facilities. In retrospect we would have been better getting a comfortable lower budget hotel. Decent location with shopping and eateries nearby. By the time they added our parking fee (CAD 50) and all the taxes, the cost of our one night stay was very expensive. We also did not eat at the hotel at all not even breakfast because again quite expensive and lots of options to walk to.

We had one night here at the end of a cruise. The location is very central for most sights in the city. The prices aren't cheap even by Vancouver standards but we were very kindly given an upgrade as it was my wife's birthday.
WE had a very comfortable suite with a separate living room and a big and well equipped bathroom with both bath and shower. Big and comfortable bed.
We went out in the evening and we're off very early inthe morning so we didn't sample the dining facilities.
