We finished our 8 weeks trip around the world at the Loden, and of the 10 wonderful places we stayed, no service compared with what we received here.
We arrived from Fiji feeling pretty jet lagged, to the warmest of welcomes.
David and his team provide a service that can’t be bought. Their genuine helpfulness and desire to ensure our 5 day stay has everything we needed made our Vancouver experience extra special.
From personally making restaurant reservations, to so many helpful tips on where to go and what to do.
I must also praise the whole team, from the housemaids who surprised us each evening on our return with a bedtime treat, to the staff at Tableau restaurant.
The Loden has a team of staff who care about their guests and do everything within their power to make their stay exceptional.
It’s a huge thank you from my husband and I.

Excellent staff! appreciated the upgraded room for our 25th wedding anniversary. The little details they provide are over-the-top amazing (champagne split/macrons/lemon water/chocolates). The beds were super comfortable and the linens were luxury. I'll be back for sure

Incredible service and beautiful property. Staff is very well trained and attentive. Rooms are modern and spacious. In room amenities were a nice surprise. The adjacent Tableau restaurant is a beautiful French Bistro. Easy walking access to the waterfront.
We will return next year for sure.

Looking back on 2024, my husband and I both agree that our stay at the Loden Hotel was, once again, a highlight of the year. Since our first visit in 2020, this experience has remained a cherished tradition, consistently bringing us joy and standing out as one of the most memorable parts of our year. The hotel's attention to detail is remarkable, from the exquisite lighting, furniture, and art, to the luxurious bed and bedding, handwritten notes, complimentary treats, and in-room snacks reminiscent of the old days. The soaker tub and large, lavish shower and bathroom further enhance the experience.
Not to mention, the hotel’s adjoining restaurant, Tableau Bar Bistro, offers exquisite French cuisine that can be conveniently delivered straight to your room and it's prime location in downtown Vancouver, there is no shortage of activities and attractions to explore. From shopping on Robson Street, to taking a stroll along the nearby seawall, or attending events at the Rogers Arena or BC Place, there is something for everyone within walking distance from the hotel.
But perhaps what truly sets the Loden apart is the exceptional service, led by the hotel VP, Irina. She is a genuinely beautiful person who cares deeply for her staff, and it shows. Team members like David, Stanislav, and Marie (to name just a few) exemplify warmth and service, creating an atmosphere where hospitality feels natural and sincere. They honestly feel like friends, who we look forward to seeing each year. The Loden Hotel is more than just a place to stay, it's an experience that feels like coming home. And we are grateful for the care and attention that goes into making each stay truly special.
We can’t say enough good things about this hotel—it truly stands in a league of its own. My husband and I are eagerly anticipating our return in 2025.
If you ever find yourself in Vancouver, treat yourself to a stay at the Loden Hotel—it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!!!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Loden Hotel on March 3, 2025. As loyal Fairmont Platinum customers but we decided to try the Loden and compare our experiences. The Loden did not disappoint and far exceeded our expectations. We were greeted at the door and the check-in process was seem less and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our car was valeted and our bags were brought up to the room in minutes. We brought our dog and the room was set up for her with a bed, bowl, treat and everything she needed. The room was lovely with a corner view of Melville St. Downtown. Our departure was effortless with the help the the professional and friendly staff. After we left we got a call saying that a suit bag was left in the room and how could they best assist us in returning it. We turned around and came back to The Loden and it was handed to us quickly in the lobby. We would give The Loden Staff and hotel a 10/10 for the staff, price point and downtown location. We have unfortunately never been able to do at The Fairmont. We will be back and highly recommend The Loden to our friends and family.

We have stayed at the Loden for years, and can honestly say that we have never received better service anywhere else. The staff is absolutely incredible in their devotion to making your stay as comfortable as possible; they go out of their way to make you feel like you're a part of their family! The rooms are gorgeous, exceptionally clean, and the beds are so comfortable that you will likely have the best sleep of your life. This most recent stay we had the absolute pleasure of staying in the penthouse suite and it blew us away. It was stunningly beautiful, and the large outdoor deck and living room would make it a great place to host an intimate gathering, business meeting, or the like.
The location is also perfect for pretty much whatever you would like to do in Vancouver. Our most recent trip was for a conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre, and it's only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It's also very close to Stanley Park and to some great shopping areas. There's a Starbucks right next door, and another fantastic little coffee shop a half block away. As for the food, it's within walking distance of many great restaurants, but you really don't have to go anywhere because Tableau Bistro is exceptional. We eat there every time we stay at the Loden, and the food has been amazing every single time.
We've stayed at a number of different hotels in Vancouver in the past, but as of a few years ago we only stay at the Loden, and for good reason. Overall it's always such an exceptional and relaxing experience. The service and care is second to none. Once again, thank you to Irina, Stanislav, David, Marie, and all the other staff that make us feel so welcome and taken care of whenever we stay here!
