Located in renovated fashion and commercial district, the RC was outstanding. I highly recommend upgrading to the Club level, located on the top floors with a magnificent view of the city. The service was beyond our expectations, especially at the Club. The food is a good mix between asian and western with plenty of options (I would love more sushi). The gym/spa was modern and big for an hotel. We will definitely return.

The RC Tokyo is on the 45-52nd Floor of Midtown Highrise Tower offering sweeping views of the city. There is a shopping mall below the hotel with many restaurants.
We had dinner in the Sushi Kaisseki restaurant which was very good. Breakfast was fantastic with both Japanese and American menus. The Japanese menu was fantastic.
The staff here is stellar. Every member of the staff made us feel so special. Amazing hospitality in Japan makes us secretly wish they were the 5 star standard globally.
Our room was spectacular.
The concierge team helped us plan 2 day trips. One to Hakone and the other to Kamakura. We had a guide and driver take us on a 2 day tour of Tokyo as well as the day trips with private car. The team was exceptional.
They arranged to have a driver take us to the train station and walk us to the platform and help us purchase bento boxes for our Shinkansen ride to Kyoto. They arranged to have our larger pieces of luggage sent ahead to our hotel in Kyoto.
Everything you need will be taken care of by the team at this hotel.
We had such a memorable trip because of the warmth and professionalism of the staff.
Thank you all.

Stunning views, great rooms, and great location
This Ritz is a very good hotel in a good location surrounded by restaurants. Rooms are massive and beautiful, and the view is simply perfect. The bar is fantastic as well, even though much of it was under renovation. I was expecting more, but it still was a 5-star experience.
The hotel is what we expected from a Ritz---clean, good breakfast, friendly and competent service. A plus is the mall that is attached, and the area restaurants. We did enjoy some pizza across the street at PST. There are great eating choices and excellent pastry choices in the Mall as...

Ritz Tokyo/stayed 9 nights August 2024
Location too far to walk to CBD shopping, taxi AUD$25
Dishonesty from Spa/massage, never charge your guest without informing them of extra service. Beware! Very disrespectful. No formal apology.
Bad service in club lounge breakfast & evening canapés, had to get the ladies & gentlemen multiple times to clear table.
Club Breakfast restricted 1 & 1/2 hours & evening canapés restricted one 1 hour. Asked your guests to leave after 1 hour. We found very offensive & very disrespectful, no etiquette. Eat & run - no class & elegant specially at the the Ritz. No excuse that the club is busy (stayed for 9 nights not even busy)
Food is average for the Ritz Carlton. Seafood is non existence. Mainly cater for Japanese guests
Bistronomy Towers, service was excellent but food also average
Cost cutting is on a high scale, not up to standard of Ritz Carton. Never return & never recommend Ritz Tokyo, Ritz Osaka to anyone 5/10.
Ritz Carlton Singapore Set The Bar 10/10

Great Stay Ruined By Hotel Being Petty

Bad: The front desk was trying to fight me on bonvoy benefits, if they dont want to honor the benefits they shouldnt be flagged as a marriott hotel. For being a Ritz Carlton, it leaves an especially bad taste in the mouth as a Titanium member that you have to fight extra 4 hours of checkout which is guaranteed under T&C. Dont expect any benefits if you dont pay anything close to the rack price.

Hotel decor is dated. I emailed “guest relations” before we arrived and never received a response.
Service we encountered was cold and stiff.
Nothing really stood out and at this price point something should.

Rooms are pretty good. Very clean and nice views but starting to show age. Location is OK. Roppongi is not the liveliest area. The problem with this hotel is the service. Upon check in, they offered breakfast as a Bonvoy perk. I asked if they had Japanese breakfast options and the lady at the front said "no, only Western". I found this odd and subsequently declined the breakfast. I later found out they did have a Japanese breakfast. Sign of poor training or just no care. Concierge is a complete disaster. I specifically asked for non tourist food recommendations. One of the places they ended up booking for us was all tourists. On top of that, this place openly discriminates on diners. Some are treated and offered different experiences than others, even though everyone is paying the same prices close to $1,000 per person! When I told the hotel, they said the place would give refund of the food portion of the bill. However, this is not the point. Being discriminated is extremely demeaning and hotel should figure out why people paying the same price get different levels of experiences. Concierge played games for a month and claimed they didnt recieve emails, people were away, and/or just never responded. Horrible service. Would never stay again. We have ambassador status at this hotel and they don't value loyalty.
