Serious maintenance and housekeeping issues

To start with the positive, the idea behind the design and the construction of the hotel is beautiful. The little ideas with outdoor games, wine tastings in the afternoon and lavender bags are nice But this hotel has serious issues with communication, housekeeping and maintenance. Four emails to different recipients...

Nice Atmosphere, Wonderful Staff

We arrived here as a large group to attend a family wedding in a Winery nearby. Between the ten of us, we booked five rooms. Two couples got their room in the main building, the other two got theirs in the building across from the parking lot, and we had...

First-class

Very lovely place, inside and outside. The cottage room was excellent, with a large walk-in shower and an outdoor sitting area. Plenty of self-parking. Enjoyable wine tasting in the afternoon, and we spent lots of time at the pool (it was in the 90s). Didn't leave the property for the...

A property is only as "great" as the people running it and this staff is horrible!

I'm saddened to see many of the same complaints from others that I have today. This "Upscale" Marriott property just simply does not rise to the standards and expectations we've known Marriott properties to have. The staff is a huge reason why! Unprofessional attire by most - would expect uniforms...

Beautiful property with some noticeable quirks

This is a nice place in so many respects and I might even go back. They do all the big things right. Helpful and friendly staff, cottages are cozy- almost. The furniture and carpet need to be updated and mold in shower, gross. Stains on furniture, fingernails in the carpet...

Little details say big things

Use the resort fee to get some new pool cushions. Rooms are fine. Staff is great. Little details really do say big things. It is not that hard to refresh the pool cushions when they are literally ripped though and have zero cushion left. Cheers

Family friendly comfort

We spent one night in this hotel. The majority of the rooms are cottages with outside entrances but we stayed in the main building. We were upgraded to a very spacious 1-bedroom suite with a large, separate living room, a fireplace, and a small balcony. One thing the room lacked...

Nice Stay

We enjoyed our stay. We had a junior suite with a fireplace in the room and an outdoor fireplace on the patio (room 512). We loved the outdoor seating area as we had great weather. Did not use the one in the room. There was good space in the room...

Nice modern stay

The property is nice with a lot of beautiful flowers and a good layout. The rooms are decent size, but the balconies are tiny. Since the doors open out, we had to rearrange the furniture to get it closed again. It is nice to have a daily maid service, especially...

Great choice for a hotel if you are exploring Sonoma!

This hotel is the perfect balance between being active and being completely relaxed. As guests we had access to bikes so we road into Sonoma Plaza to try some wine tastings. The restaurant, Benecia's Kitchen, is outstanding. We even had our own private patio to enjoy.

Noisy and lacking the privacy the website shows

The website makes it look like the backyards are private and quiet. They are not private and they are not quiet. The hedges do not go all the way around so you can see your neighbors, and you can hear people talking in their yards and in the units upstairs....
