The pools and beach area are just beautiful and the hotel its self is flawless, just incredibly beautiful all round.
Need to make a special shout out to emad our pool boy found the middle pool. He made our stay absolutely brilliant, made us laugh everyday and couldn’t do enough for us both. Also taught us some Arabic, which we were so grateful for! ❤️
And to the entertainment team, but especially James and Jana both incredible at there job. Got us involved every day, absolutely brilliant people! Loved every second of our stay.

Another amazing week spent at this fab hotel. If anything it was better this year than when we were there last year, lots more service around the pool and nice to see some of last years staff still there. Food in all the restaurants was brilliant and for us the seafood restaurant was still our favourite. Look forward to returning again next year.

This was our second trip to the hotel and we have booked to return again next year as soon as we got home.
This is a wonderful hotel.
Nothing is too much for the staff
They genuinely care about their customers - we honestly love it here.
Vita who heads up guests services is excellent as is Nada who also works in guest services - both brilliant and helpful.
Abdel who works in both the pool and Limone welcomed us back with a smile and anything we needed!
Hossaim who works at the fish restaurant welcomed us back with a smile and again anything we needed!
All your staff are welcoming and kind. Honestly hands down a brilliant team.
Our room was gorgeous as ever including the special touches as always. Thank you
The a la carte restaurants are great and the daily buffet is overflowing with deliciousness!
We were so sad to leave but will be back!!
Thank you once again

If we go to Sharm in the future, this will be our go to hotel, without a doubt

Food;
Really good selection of food, the a la carte restaurants are really good, however the system is very poor. So suggest going to guest relations and book early as all the decent times are gone if you book later on in the stay.
I've got a very sensitive stomach, IBS, etc, and was worried about having an upset stomach, absolutely no issues.
Drinks/alcohol;
I normally drink spiced rum. However, it doesn't seem to be a thing in this hotel, so I had to resort to whiskey (not the nicest), so I switched to vodka.
Room/bed, etc;
Cleaned daily, the cleaners can't do enough for you, bed origami every day was a nice touch.
Bed is really comfy, with no issues there.
Staff;
I didn't encounter one member of staff that was rude or non attentive, constantly asking if you need anything.
I will say, be prepared to be asked ALOT for trips from the excursion teams for scuba diving, etc, daily, but they're pleasant when you say you're not interested,
Pier/snorkelling;
I've never been to sharm before, so take this with a pinch of salt, I'm sure some are much better.
However I am/was an avid reef enthusiast having kept fish for the majority of 10 years, the reef was amazing, full of coral, a huge variety of fish, I could have spent hours daily if the yellow flag was out all the time, unfortunately we had 3 full red flag days. But better be safe than sorry.
It is genuinely one of the best experiences of a hotel I've had, and I've stayed in some very high-end hotels.
TL;Dr, if we come to sharm again (likely), we'll stop in steigenberger alcazar without a doubt.
Airport; (not the hotels fault, obviously)
I will say, bringing a pen for the airport was a good tip, arriving at sharm Airport was pleasant.
Departures was a different story, the most chaotic airport I've ever been in, staff shouting at people because they can't understand what the public are saying, cleaners in the toilets hounding for tips.
You'd think with the millions coming through every year, they'd have sorted issues by now.
9 security checks are absolutely bonkers
I'd recommend anyone to go to this hotel

We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived for our two week stay with refreshing drinks and details about the hotel facilities.
Our room 6204 was beautifully clean with super views of the sea.
There are 5 excellent a la carte restaurants to enjoy.
The gardens and grounds and gardens are immaculate. The pool areas spotlessly clean with the life guards washing down sunbeds daily.
The staff at the adults only pool are exceptional. Friendly polite and very helpful. The life guards we found to be excellent too.
The bar team in-the Cazar bar are extremely efficient and friendly within a few days were placing our regular order down without having to be asked ! Thank you.
I had quite a few interactions with the guest relations team booking the restaurants and when they made their daily rounds to check if we had everything that we needed. They were all incredibly friendly and professional. Special thank you to Sabrina for her help.
Although this was our first visit I’m sure it won’t be our last.

We had a fantastic week here at Steigenberger hotel and resort. The service we received from the staff was excellent nothing was too much trouble. We even had our sunglasses cleaned twice a day by the lovely Ahmed at the poolside!! The room was comfortable with a great view of the poolside. The beach is lovely too. It has a handful of beach huts, the front row you pay for but the others are free if you are lucky enough to get one. We enjoyed eating lunch either at the poolside bar or the beach bar as the food was better than the buffet and has a great view with a great atmosphere. There was not one member of staff that we have a bad word to say about. They are all fantastic!! I’m the evenings we booked at a different restaurant, the beach front was our favourite serving seafood. In the evening there was live music in the main bar and I think there was animation entertainment for families which we didn’t go to so can t comment on. Over all we have had a fantastic week and have meet some amazing people and we will definitely be staying here again.

There is no doubt, this hotel is one of the best I've evet stayed at; staff are great, food options are amazing, including to 5 restaurants, very clean and the rooms are lovely and well equip, even the Wi-Fi is great. Downsides, not a great location (very little to do), night time entertainment isn't great (but the try hard), beach is good but some days you cant really access the sea and the supposed coral reef (sea was too rough all week). All in all, beautiful place if you just want some winter sun, good food and a place to chill by the three lovely pools.

We have been to the Steigenberger many times in February and it has always been excellent however this year it was even better! The staff are absolutely amazing!
The guest relations team work incredibly hard to ,make sure everything runs smoothly from restaurant bookings, to room allocation to resolving any issues immediately. They are the glue that keep all the other teams working together to make your stay memorable. Vita is outstanding and her colleagues Sabrina and new lady Lydia are amazing too. It was a pleasure to meet with Vita’s boss Moamen Anwar and share this personally.
The al a carte restaurants are like going out in London every night of the week, menus are varied and cater for all tastes. I am allergic to fish and this was remembered this time without me even mentioning it.
In summary, Amoura, the Lebanese restaurant meze is great, special mention to Anans who always delivered service with a smile and the lovely outside grill chef who prides himself on cooking to perfection. Limoni, this restaurant has really stepped up this year with a new menu and fantastic staff, special mention to Abdul and Ali (also in the pool restaurant at lunchtime) and Osama who is in every restaurant making sure the teams deliver perfection. Hama, Jimmy the chef was exceptional, carefully cooking non fish dishes on the teppanyaki grill, also special recognition to Moustafa Ayman who patiently helped with menu choices and wine section. La Maison, Mediterranean restaurant, new menu with more variety. Sanafir is our personal favourite, the location on the beach is fantastic and the staff are just so joined up, very funny and very accommodating. Run by new lead, Mohamed with old favourite Chef Abdo. The team are memorable and special mentions for Emy, Ahmed, Hossam, Bishoy, Carlos and another waiter who was just about to go on leave and looking forward to welcoming his new addition Zain.
The back bar in main reception was our favourite with Zayed even making a baileys substitute which was delicious.
There was a small issue at the adult pool bar when we first arrived with a lack of staff and glasses, the was immediately resolved by Vita in guest relations and the F&B team and they assigned an additional long time staff member Mohamed who had eyes everywhere and made sure you were served quickly even remembering your order the next day, 5 star service at its best. Pool attendants Ahmed, Mohamed and Alli were excellent and again had eyes everywhere making sure you wanted for nothing.
The other person that deserves a special mention is Sammy the recreations manger, also saying good morning/afternoon and asking if all was ok with the pools, beach etc. Abdul the lifeguard from the beach went out of his way to come to the pool everyday and say hello. So lovely.
People have mentioned that sometimes there is a shortage of beds at the adult pool however every day I witnessed people arriving late morning or even at lunchtime, Ahmed and Mohamed would ask where they wanted to sit and then immediately carry beds from the beach for them. I was pleased to see this year there was no special reserving of beds, much fairer approach to have o a first come first serve basis.
I have 2 suggestions for further improvement:
1. is put a water cooler to get filtered water from by the adult pool bar, like at breakfast, this would reduce the number of glasses and allow guests to refill there bottles, glasses at leisure. Keeping hydrated is really important.
2. Change the Sanafir snack menu to include wraps and pasta, best location for lunch but a very limited menu.
For fitness fans we actually measured the distance from the front gate to the end of the jetty and it is exactly 1 mile so very easy to get 10k steps per day without even leaving the resort!
I really can’t stress enough that this is a five star resort with excellent restaurants and incredibly loyal staff, we will be back again next year!

We have stayed in many hotels worldwide but this is the best for us. The hotel itself is immaculate, and I mean spotless, from the cleanliness of the rooms, the garden areas, the pool and just everywhere was immaculate.
The restaurants are fabulous and every night we felt like we had a different experience as good as you would find anywhere. We did not feel like we were in a hotel, but I would like to mention the Lebanese restaurant, which went above and beyond. We want to say a special thank you to Anas, Hussain, and the entire team. We especially enjoyed the late breakfast there, so we could also enjoy a late sleep-in.
Our room was modern and the swim-up pool was fantastic, but what worked for us was the privacy. On the windy days we had, we could still sunbathe as it was protected from the wind, which you could feel at the main pools. Mahmoud looked after our room and was fantastic, and I couldn't praise him enough. Nothing was too much for him, and he would have it sorted in 5 minutes if we needed anything.
All the staff are truly wonderful, but we would also like to call out Emad, one of the pool's lifeguards. Not only did he make us laugh and look after us to perfection, but he also helped us understand a few phrases of Arabic, which went down exceptionally well with the rest of the staff and put a smile on their faces.
The beach was also perfect, but we stayed around the pool, and you will never fight or have to get up early for a sunbed as there are plenty around the complex.
We also enjoyed the main bar area and our conversations with James, who works on the entertainment team. There are loads of activities to choose from, but we just wanted a chilled-out week—perfect!
If you are considering traveling here, do it, as you won't regret it.

We enjoyed an incredible 10 days at this fantastic hotel. The property and grounds are impeccably maintained, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The animation team was charming without being overly intrusive, and the lounge music by the pool added to the ambiance. The buffet restaurant offered a wide variety of options, including a grill by request, and the pool bars were perfect for lunch. There is also an adult-only pool available. The à la carte restaurants, which are included in the all-inclusive package, were excellent. High-speed internet is accessible throughout the property.
Although the hotel was quite busy due to the half-term period, it never felt overwhelmingly crowded. We will definitely return to this amazing hotel.
A special thank you to Vita, Supervisor of Guest Relations, Ibrahim in the main restaurant, and Abdel Hady & Shady at the pool restaurant/bar. Compliments to the entire wonderful team!

Returned and satisfied again. Notes of merits for all the staff, for the skill of Liza, the yoga and the stratching trainer, and Alì, the hotel photographer. The only thing: this time the breakfast buffet was missing the honeycomb. It was a gem!
