This is a beautiful hotel located right on the beach. Easy walking distance into Corralejo centre or to the Dunas National Park. The hotel was very clean everywhere and the staff were excellent. We had a lovely room with beautiful sea views. Whilst the food in the buffet was very good and the breakfast selection excellent the negative for us was the lack of a vegetarian main course on the buffet. The kitchen was able to provide a very good main course which did not include meat but this had to be ordered as a special. We were disappointed that five star hotel could not provide a non meat dish on the buffet as other five star hotels we have been to.

We only used the pool twice as we travelled around the island most days, but we tried in a couple of occasions and the temperature was very pleasant. The Spa was wonderful and it was a delight to end up the days there.
Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms spacious. We got and Ocean View room that I think it was worth every penny.
Breakfast was fantastic, with very good quality foods.
Service was impeccable, everybody we encountered was only too happy to assist with anything.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful hotel. The room was a lovely junior suite on the ground floor with a terrace overlooking beach and stunning views across to the island of Fuerterventura . The room was large and very comfortable. We ate in the buffet restaurant every night and the food was amazing and as it changed the theme every night, we didn't bother with any of the other ones apart from lunch one day in the one overlooking the sea which was also excellent (superb club sandwich !) . The breakfast also was fantastic with a huge range of choices. I was disappointed with the temperature in the main pool and after two days of trying it and having a chilly swim , I opted for the huge heated pool in the spa which you can visit once a day for free and where there are amazing jacuzzis within the pool itself . Beaches and the town are within a 10-20 minute walking distance depending on your walking speed and I also walked to the port and got a ferry to Lanzarotte for the morning which is worth doing. Also had no problem getting a lounger on the beach outside the hotel when i wanted one . There is a bit of a rush for the pool ones when they open the area at 9am but it didn't affect me and I always got one later in the day to have a lounge in the afternooon .The hotel staff and the housekeeping staff were all very friendly and courteous and the service couldn't be faulted. All in all a lovely relaxing week for me while my husband and his friend went cycling around the Island.

We enjoyed the spa and the breakfast was delicious, made a difference having hot coffee and milk bought to the table rather than out of a machine.

Brilliant stay start to finish. From the moment we arrived and were checked in the staff and service at this hotel is phenomenal. We stayed in a beach front suite and that was immaculate. We opted for half board which meant we got breakfast and dinner included. Both were buffet style and the food did not disappoint. Great variety and really good food quality every day.
Vegan and gluten free catered for far more than I’ve seen in other hotels.
Bed and pillows were all very comfortable and the room in which we stayed was near the pools but very quiet.
I used the gym every morning around 8:15, it can get quite busy after 9:00-9:30 but it’s well equipped with a water machine and a free towel.
It is a little further from town but definitely worth it. We would stay here again without hesitation.

So wonderful hotel, so a year later, here we are again. This time, we opted for fourteen delightful days. We got the same room—120—which has a large, beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Waking up in the morning with a cup of coffee, enjoying the view and the sound of the waves, is truly priceless. If you want a calm and pleasant vacation, this is the place to go, and this particular hotel. The rooms are comfortable, with cozy beds and a seating area. There’s a kettle and a coffee machine. The cleaning is excellent and performed daily. They had built up the pier outside the hotel, so now there’s an opportunity to take a dip, but the sea is often wild. On the pier, there was an outdoor room where you can relax and enjoy. On the beach, there are sun loungers and windbreaks. If you prefer the pool, that’s of course available too.
The food is excellent, with live cooking of fish and meat, as well as plenty of options. The service is more than excellent and very attentive. All the staff are incredibly service-oriented and maintain a high standard. As soon as you enter the hotel, you’re well taken care of and shown to your room with your luggage. This hotel lives up to its stars and is exactly how a hotel should be.

This Secrets Hotel lived up to our expectations related to the cleanliness, dining options, friendly and helpful staff and a variety of pools in and outside (although the outside ones were quite cold in sept!). The ocean-view room was a good size and had a great view.
The hotel's location is very close to the beach (although very hard to get into the sea due to the slippery pebbles) and town centre.
Sunbeds can't be saved until 9am - which was very good news! 👍😊
This is a quiet resort so there wasn't many activities going on during the day and mainly just some live music being played in the bar most nights.

As for the negative reviews about extra charges for the bar—honestly, that's quite amusing! Some people still assume that 5-star means ALL-inclusive, which is definitely not always the case. We found everything to be well worth the price, and we’d absolutely return.

This was our fifth stay at the Bahia Real and it was wonderful as always!
Pristine in all areas this hotel seems to get better every time that we stay!
We don’t engage with the hotels services and facilities on a daily basis as we just like to do our own thing within an atmosphere of the highest level - and the Bahia Real others this very thing - unobtrusive staff who provide the highest levels of service as and when they are called upon!
David and his concierge colleagues were fabulous as always - as was Pablo on reception- and Yenny and Mikael were the ultimate professionals at the breakfast buffet - with Yenny in particular providing her usual friendly and fabulous levels of service as always - together with a lovely smile!
We stayed in a Preferred Club Suite with full ocean views and the views during the day and the sound of the ocean at night were incredible!
I forgot to ask the name of our usual maid during out two week stay - but she deserves to be recognised as the standards of her work was the best that we have experienced anywhere and she was always welcoming and cheerful which is always lovely to see when on holiday! Please Bahia Real acknowledge this on our behalf from room 330. Evening turndown service on the occasions that we experienced it was also top notch!
As vegans we didn’t partake in the evening buffet or al a carte restaurants as we have our absolute favourite restaurant in the world in Sanus in the town centre but we DID have coffee, soft drinks and the occasional snack on the terrace as part of the preferred club!
Christian, Roberto and Andres were always very helpful and professional.
We also don’t normally stay in to experience the entertainment during the evening but did return one evening to heat an artist called Michael - and he will definitely be worth staying in for when we return!
Overall a most wonderful stay and we hope to be back again in October to experience this fabulous hotel and the wonderful beaches that Corralejo offers once more!
Thank you Bahia Real!

The Food is exceptional quality and the rooms very comfortable.
If i had to point out a negative- some of the cocktails seem to be pre-made(pina colada for example). I would expect a hotel with everything else so beautiful to provide top quality cocktails.
But the best asset this hotel has is its staff- they all go out of their way to make you feel so welcome and special, a truly pampered experience... --- Except- pool staff on a morning. The hotel has a 9am pool opening policy- the sun is out at 8am and is a lovely time to lie by a quiet tranquil pool- some mornings you can get away with going there at 8.45 to take advantage of this but some mornings a rather stern rude guy comes along and makes you move- remember theres usually about 10 couples he moves on who obviously want to be there early.
On the days they have maintenance going on fair enough- but the days this happened- nothing going on- and they do allow you to swim early- just not sit on your sunbed- this isnt people reserving them either- its people who want to sit there before 9. Seems at odds with the rest of the hotel experience and does leave a sour taste- three of four couples we spoke to said they wouldnt return as they found it a problem

We are on our last night here at Secrets in Corralejo and have loved our week here.
We stayed at Secrets Lazarote a few years ago and loved it. We had read great reviews about the hotel in Corralejo and thought we would try another island.
The location is great. Beautiful views out across the sea to Lobos Island and Lanzarote beyond. This part of Fuerteventura seems quite unspoilt compared to Gran Canaria and Tenerife where we have also been. Coralejo itself is great. It has a 'main strip' that is similar to those in other Canary Island resorts, but is smaller and more upmarket, and the old town while not particularly picturesque is charming and has a cafe/restaurant culture that is similar to a small Spanish town than anything we have seen in the Canaries before apart from Puerta Morgan in Gran Canaria. Great vibe in the evenings.
In the other direction out of the hotel are the dunes - not as beautiful as those in Maspalomas but the walk along the sea shore is lovely.
The hotel itself is excellent. Lovely big rooms, beautiful and sheltered pool area and great food. The reception/hotel bar area is well appointed and the whole place feels classy. We were impressed with the 'alternative' restaurants to the main buffet one - the Italian one was great.
The gym and spa are really lovely and the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful.
We only have 2 or 3 gripes and we raise these by way of constructive criticism. Firstly, we booked half board and in every other 4 and 5 star hotels we have been to throughout the Canaries and Ballearics we have always been given the option to swap dinner for lunch so we can explore the town for dinner. Here not. So we simply had to forfeit the meals we had paid for to go out in the evenings.
Second - we thought that there should have been somewhere to get water when needed. Drinking the tap water is not recommended but you are only given 2 bottles or of water per day. When my girlfriend asked for more she was refused and told that we were 'lucky' to have complimentary water. This is a 5 star hotel and we spent quite a lot of money here - the hotel could do better on this.
Don't want the above to detract from what has been a lovely stay and what is a ln excellent hotel. Maybe a little fine tuning?

Booked a Winter escape via BA to this resort purely on The Hotel reviews as we tend not to stay in the North of an island! (Popping on Ferry tomorrow to Lanzarote playa Blanca in South
to check it out over there) as we’re only a 30 minutes ferry trip away!
We got a taxi from airport bit of a queue but not a long wait
only 30/35 minute drive costing about €40 ( as no Transfer with BA which we preferred anyway)
On Arrival :-
to this wonderful 5* hotel we were greeted by very friendly reception staff & a Porter, we’re given a glass of bubbly each whilst completing the familiarities & the Friendly porter then took our luggage & showed us to our room
Great start!
we normally book a Seaview so I had my reservations as this B&B package was Standard Junior suite
Room:- 292
I couldn’t believe size of the room, bathroom, bed & balcony
Absolutely Massive ( biggest room we’ve ever stayed in)
lovely Seaview to back & side of Hotel overlooking the port (ferries leaving & arriving) & cute manicured gardens
There is a small road @ back gate (locked) that runs through a residential area to properties but it’s not buzy at all & very quiet
we havnt experienced any noise
& it feels very private
our room is on end behind lifts so only rooms to one side of us! Perfect
We also get the sun in the afternoons which we prefer sitting on balcony having coffees from the coffee machine in our room variety of T-bags
& Kettle Provided too!
Bathroom:-
Very spacious separate toilet & bidet with frosted glass sliding door
Huge bath & a humungous shower head very powerful & wonderful smelling toiletries provided!
Restaurants;-
Market Place breakfast food hall is again huge with a separate garden area that sits to back that feels as if your dining alfresco
Food is in abundance always replenished huge variety
( I’ve never experienced so much variety & fresh well replenished food on this scale before)
They also have food theme nights in there
There are a few other restaurants on-site
Italian, Japanese we’ve tried both they are exceptional & very reasonably priced!
We’ve yet to try the others as we’re still here!
The Bed is massive 2 singles
Which can be made into double or rather a king size
The sheets are extremely soft & silky & pillows are also comfy
Were in Slumber heaven haven’t slept so well in a long time!
The maids do an incredible job of cleaning the rooms they are always so immaculately clean, towels replenished daily!
This truly is a 5* Hotel experience
This for us makes up for the resort being a bit run down in certain areas around the hotel although the town has many nice shops & restaurants
So it isn’t Best resort we’ve stayed in but by far & Large it’s the best & biggest hotel we’ve ever stayed in!
Pools & grounds:-
3 lovely clean pools ( they monitor the water regular)
1 heated 1 Not & a cute circular pool with lounges in ideal for reading your book & cooling down!
All Surrounding areas inc pool are immaculate with palm trees to add shade when needed & pretty Fauna & lots of variety of small birds (sparrows) to provide birdsong it truly is a tranquil setting!
Beach outside:-
Provide sunloungers with a windbreaker ( as can be a very windy island)
These are free to guests!
There is also a long jetty where you can access the sea as it’s a very rocky beach & no other way that we could see close by to get in that choppy sea!
( be carful of the jetty steps down into sea as they are very slippery inc hand rail! There is a life guard on patrol which is needed but I feel they could make the steps & handrail more secure as we did witness a man slip on them! ( very dangerous)
Summary:-
This is a fantastic clean friendly welcoming hotel with amazing restaurants , great choices of abundant variety of food & extremely hard working friendly staff @ all levels
Very very worthy of its 5*
We would definitely consider returning
Which we never ever do!
Thank you all for making our stay at your hotel a very memorable one!
2 more days until we go home
sadly
Wish we had booked longer now!
Kind Regards
Janet & Andy

went with jet2,had a private taxi to hotel included, a great start, quickly arrived and checked into sea view room, number 107,not ideal as a large tree blocks the view, a higher floor would be better, we found a few problems but these were quickly solved to our satisfaction, the indoor pool and spa is excellent ,meals and drinks are good enough, but what makes this hotel is the staff ,always going above and beyond, there are free sunbeds on the beach, all in all a good hotel that is really clean and spacious but some of the extra charges spoil this hotel, like 3 euros for a snack from the mini bar when on all inclusive. and 50 euros a day for Bali beds,

After staying at a nearby 4* hotel for 20 years +, we decided to treat ourselves to this one.
It is a beautiful hotel, set on the coastline on the edge of Corralejo. Our room was large, very comfortable and well appointed.
The staff were friendly, polite and attentive and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was the best it could be.
We opted for B&B, to allow us to have dinner at some of our favourite restaurants in town. However, as our flight arrived in the evening, we decided to eat in the hotel's buffet restaurant on the first evening. Good food but rather expensive at 44 euros per person.
Drinks were also rather pricey in the hotel bar. However, this was offset by free safe in the room, free parking and 2 hours per day free access to the spa - all subject to extra charge at another nearby Corralejo hotel.
We mostly walked into town but often caught a taxi back as it was just far enough to be daunting after a large dinner! Taxi cost around 5-6 euros.
We would not hesitate to stay here again and look forward to our next visit.

We have just spent 5 wonderful days here. If you are a couple looking for a luxury, adults only hotel that is comfortable and refined then this ticks all the boxes. The staff are lovely, the beds are sumptuous and the rainfall shower we had in our bathroom was incredible. The huge selection at breakfast was good and the pool and sun loungers are heavenly. There’s literally only one thing I think the hotel could improve on, and that is the towels in the rooms which felt cheap and ordinary. That is me being very picky though. We will definitely return to this gorgeous hotel!

Lovely hotel, very well run. Very clean and the staff were amazing, very friendly and very well trained which made a nice change. The food was amazing I have intolerances and they were very well catered for. It was also good to see that the dress code for the restaurants was adhered to, this is normally where most hotels slip up.
We had a preferred club room with an amazing view.
The location of the hotel which is right on the beach was great for beach walks but a long walk into the town.
We loved our time there but after having been to Secrets in Lanzarote we felt that the preferred club let the hotel down slightly. In Lanzarote there was a designated pool with a bar and also a separate dining room for breakfast. Here at Bahia Real there was no separate pool and the two pools were very crowded and sun beds very close together, breakfast was in a roped off area in the buffet restaurant, although you could order your hot breakfast from a waitress/waiter to save queueing at the buffet.

I have just returned from this hotel and have contracted a serve allergic reaction from their hotel pool that is not safe to swim in!!!!
I have been diagnosed with cercarial dermatitis that occurs in the skin of humans that have been infected by water-borne schistosomes, a type of flatworm. 👇🏻
(cercarial dermatitis, appears as a skin rash caused by an allergic reaction to certain microscopic parasites that infect some birds and mammals. These parasites are released from infected snails into fresh water. While the parasite’s preferred host is the specific bird or mammal, if the parasite comes into contact with a swimmer, it burrows into the skin causing an allergic reaction and rash.)
Their outdoor pools are certainly not clean to swim in and I cannot believe that this has happened in a five star hotel resort.
This condition has left me in severe pain, swollen arms and the worst rash I’ve ever seen.
I have contacted the hotel first to explain my concerns just to be told that we booked with a 3rd party company and to contact them.
I’m writing this review to warn other guests of this risk as the hotel clearly hasn’t listened to my concerns.

Just enjoyed a really wonderful stay at this hotel. It is a really good looking hotel and the facilities are excellent. We stayed unlimited luxury (all inclusive) and in a preferred room. The one big difference we found from a previous stay at a Secrets hotel in the Dominican Republic was that there were effectively only 2 places to eat each evening, as although the hotel has numerous restaurants, it was the Market cafe and usually only one other open. We ate predominantly in the Market cafe and food choice and quality were always excellent, both for breakfast and dinner.
The room was wonderful and had stunning views of the ocean and nearby islands.
The pools were lovely, one heated to a lovely temperature…once you got in :) and the other larger pool was unseated so pretty cool at this time of year. Pool service of drinks could be a little better as it was a bit hit and miss some days as to whether a server would come around to take drinks orders, but it was easy enough to collect your own from the nearby restaurant.
The evening entertainment in the lobby around the Rendezvous bar was good each evening in a chilled vibe. Special credit to Santiago, Sarah, Christian and the rest of the team for making the bar a great place to be. Service was excellent and good choice of premium drinks - thanks for great, and late, nights!
If we could score the hotel 4.5 instead of 4 we would, as overall we had a wonderful time but there was just a few very minor adjustments which could make it a true 5 stars. As an example, one day neither of our keys would work to our room and so we went to reception to get it sorted. The receptionist merely took the keys off us, re-programmed them and handed them back without any kind of explanation or apology. Also, there were a few times when we had to ask for our glasses to be filled in the restaurant. Otherwise the vast majority of staff were very friendly and helpful. These are not the kind of thing we would expect in a 5 star hotel and just needs a minor tweak by management in training.
Despite the small issues mentioned, overall it is a hotel that we will most likely return to as it is in a great location, with easy walk into Corralejo one way or lovely beach walk the other and we came away with smiles from our holiday at this great hotel.

Mixed review really……..nice view from the sea view room but there is no option to swim in the sea here, it’s too rocky. Lovely shower, staff are really good, can’t fault them. A few niggles…..I accept that only 1% of the population is Coeliac, but they had very little understanding of this. I was told everything would be labelled, but alas not! There is one trolley containing GF bread and cookies which after witnessing a grubby elderly man stick his fingers into, I could not use. It is not clearly marked as GF. I’ve eaten salad, nuts and vegetables. The evening offerings in the buffet are repetitive. I had to go to the local supermarket to get some GF food. Not great. I did put this on my booking too.

Location 8/10 - lovely beach front location, although very rocky so cannot swim from the beach. Make sure you take a right out of hotel and walk along the beach to the dunes. It’s about a 25 minute walk on a diagonal but the beach is like something out of paradise. When it’s windy in the early evening the kite surfers are fantastic.
Food - 9/10 - hands down the best food I’ve had in a resort. The themed restaurants are authentic and even the main cafeteria for breakfast and dinner doesn’t disappoint. Visit the Bay Lounge for some of the most amazing food I’ve eaten abroad. I would have given this a 10/10 but the Seaside Grill was disappointing. Dishes looked lovely but were tasteless and I had a couple of chicken dishes that were like shoe leather.
Cleanliness - 10/10 This resort is absolutely spotless, turn down service is a lovely touch.

We arrived early at the hotel and they were very helpful and where able to give us a room straight away.
The hotel room was a junior. Very clean and tidy and had all the mod cons you would need. The minibar was stocked and there was tea and coffee too. The shower was fantastic a massive shower head over the bath a proper drenching loved it. There was air conditioning and a very large fan all worked as it should. The room was restocked and cleaned daily to a very high standard no complaints there.
We were in the all inclusive package and the bars where very well stocked with loads of different spirits, liquors, cocktails and beers. Most of which where included in the all inclusive price, the menus did show which where not free and had a price next to the items.
The main restaurant was really good it was different everyday and of exceptional quality. There where various other restaurants there which you need to book we looked at the menus and for us we where happy just going to the main restaurant as the food was absolutely remarkable. The waiters and waitresses were always there to offer drinks and were always busy cleaning and welcoming other guests.
The main bar entertainment for us was a bit dull however it was quiet enough to be able to talk to each other. There were no other bars or restaurants within walking distance but we felt the hotel provided everything we needed.
We used the spar and pools daily we loved the spar and gym all well stocked and a really nice relaxing environment. There were plenty of sun beds available and there was also a waiter service for drinks. The lunch time restaurant was once again fantastic we sampled almost everything on the menu and we were not disappointed with any of the food. The steak there was cooked perfectly and really really good.
There’s not much in the area to do or see however the hotel has everything you would need. We were really impressed with the whole place. 5*

Just back a week from a lovely experience
We stayed 8 nights in a preferred sea front suite with Unlimited Luxury choice. Room 328.
I'll try to be brief.
All staff friendly, attentive and efficient. The hotel is spotless throughout.Entertainment in the evening is surprisingly quite good. The pool area is beautiful.
There is an additional Sun deck and pool on the other side of the hotel. We dined once in a themed restaurant, Olio. It is very good all round to be honest.
We liked the Market Cafe more,
especially dining on the terrace.
The selection is superb and all food we tried was delicious.
The reception area is perfect for an evening drink listening to the entertainment. The Rendevous bar was lovely for a sundowner.
We had lunch at the seaside grill every day, it was just perfect.
Bali bed area, we never used, but we walked out every day. The sunbed area on the beach is very popular and spotless. The barefoot cafe is always busy there. The pool area opened about 9.30 ish. No rush, plenty of beds and lots of towels available.
Waiter service too.
Our room was what we hoped for, luxurious, spacious and a big balcony with chairs, table and a bali bed. We had direct sun in May on the terrace until 11am.
Beautiful sunrise and moonrise over Lobos. In the room we had, 2 large TVs, couch, chairs, table, desk, safe, mini bar, nespresso, desk, double sink, 5w usb socket each bedside, the best rain shower ever created, jacuzzi and a comfortable bed.
Turn down service, water, soft drinks and beers in minibar replenished daily. Fresh fruit left out too. Plenty of clean towels. The best toiletries. A bottle of cava delivered to our room on arrival. Good AC and a ceiling fan too. A clothes steamer in the wardrobe and a real hairdryer.
The real luxury for us was sitting on the terrace in the evening listening to the sea or indeed at sunrise in our dressing gowns and slippers.
Finally for Gluten Free Sin Gluten diners.....there is a separate area for bread, toast, muffins, crackers in the Market Cafe. Also plenty of GF choices too.
Overall, we feel we have good value with the Unlimited Luxury choice. We only spend cash on our taxi fare to and from the hotel. We will return.

What a fantastic hotel!
I’ve stayed at many hotels, but this one truly stands out as the best. I have a nut allergy, and while most hotels follow basic protocols, it can still be quite stressful. However, Secrets Bahia went above and beyond to ensure my safety. I emailed guest relations to ask about the restaurants they advised me the best options it was very reassuring. I didn’t have to keep repeating my allergy everywhere we went, staff were aware of it from our room number, and many even remembered it personally. Even made a separate dessert for me in the evening as most options had nuts in.
The hotel was spotless, and the service was both professional and genuinely friendly, from all staff members. Special thanks to Omar, who looked after us by the pool, such a polite and friendly guy and Ricardo at the Japanese restaurant. We weren’t sure what to order, so he asked about our preferences and helped us choose and place the order. Both of them were excellent.
Our room was beautiful, with a lovely view of the pool, very clean comfy bed and well equipped. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of choices. We especially enjoyed the Bay Lounge on the beach, and the drinks were great as well.
All in all, this was by far the best holiday we’ve ever had. We would highly recommend and will be back next year!
