Lovely boutique hotel right on the coast. The hotel grounds are stunning and the rooms are spacious, stylish and well designed. The two pool areas are stunning and never crowded, with attentive service and amazing views. Breakfast (free with the room) is delicious with a huge range of options.

Little gem tucked in a beautiful natural reserve, built with elegance and style. This is the place to relax and recharge in a beautiful surrounding away from the hustle and bustle of the touristic areas. The team is super professional, attentive, competent and friendly. They will go the extra mile to make the stay just perfect. And the restaurant offers Michelin star food with an incredible wine selection (and also lots of healthy options). The spa is lovely with an amazing team again. Every detail is there to make your stay unforgettable. This is definitely one of the few places I'll visit again in my life!

My partner and I were looking for a peaceful, beautiful and relaxing place for a much needed break to celebrate my birthday. We chose Pleta de Mar because it looked stunning, was adult only and had great reviews. It didn’t disappoint. Everything was spacious, from the property layout, to the rooms and restaurants had a feeling that allowed you to breathe and have your own space. The two pools were clean, inviting and had super comfortable loungers. The rooms were stunning with everything you could need and we both slept so well as it’s so peaceful and quiet. Saving the best till last, the ultimate two highlights for me was firstly the food - it was incredible, every meal, to the point where we didn’t bother to go anywhere else as we knew we’d be disappointed. We also walked 5 mins to the sister hotel Can Simoneta and had an exquisite meal there too, it’s a must. Secondly, the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, with a lovely energy and bent over backwards to assist and make your stay special - quite the rarity these days. I’d highly recommend a stay here, you will not be disappointed unless you’re looking for something loud and lively. We hired a car and went to Arta, about a 20 min drive away, again, well worth a visit, it’s wonderful to have a mooch around.

What a perfect spot in the world: The shining sea through the pine forest, the privacy of own bungalows, the choice between four pools, each of them with a breathtaking view over the sea, two award winning restaurants in an incredible setting, the most beautiful coast of Mallorca and you listen only to the sound of birds and the waves.. No wonder, tt was already our fifth time in the Pleta de Mar in only three years... Each time we leave, we already plan our next stay in this wonderful gem in the most beautiful spot of Mallorca. But beside the points mentioned above the main reason, why it is our favourite hotel we ever have been to (and we travel a lot): The people! In no other luxury hotel we ever witnessed this amount of true passion of all the employees for their work, for the place and for the guests from the button of their heart. They are all full of warmth and go the extra mile with a broad smile... We love them all - the wonderful manager of the restaurants Nene, the worldbest wine chief Max, Leila and Carla, with the most wonderful smile and professionalism for the breakfast, the new guest relationmanager Stella and of course the heart and the chef of the whole property: the wonderful Javier Santos! Coming to Pleta feels like coming home - in a paradise home :)

I’m rarely moved to write a review but we were blown away by the beautiful Pleta de Mar. The hotel is stunning: understated but luxurious, immaculately tidy and clean, and the pools are gorgeous.
Our room was perfect. We chose an upgraded room option, with a Balinese bed in the garden and a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom. Both brilliant but given how many options there are for secluded seating around the property and the lovely steam room and sauna, I think a regular room would be just as enjoyable.
The standout however is the staff (everyone was great, although we crossed paths most frequently with Rakel, Manu, Raquel and Christian) who couldn’t do more to make our stay enjoyable, we felt genuinely sad to leave.
The restaurants are wonderful from
Breakfast to lunch to dinner. Being able to dine at Can Simoneta and the tower meant our 4 nights there were varied as well as outstanding.
We are already considering a return in September/October where we will hope for drier weather so we can explore the island a little more!
Thank you to the team at Pleta who made us feel so welcome, and so sad to leave.

The purple flowers, and turquoise pool and the backdrop of the ocean. Truly stunning. It would have been disappointing if the food wasn't enjoyable but hotel chefs came up trumps with that too.. all topped off with friendly professional service. Couldn't ask for more. Hopefully we'll be back to stay some time.

We chose badly here. We knew about the fine dining but felt there would be an alternative at the hotel. 3 nights of this type of food is not for us and you need to get into your car to go anywhere else.
The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. Sadly the outdoor seating area is surrounded by woodland so a biting insect paradise.
We did enjoy visiting its sister hotel Can Simoneta with its wonderful open views of the sea and bay. Too many biting bugs round the pools at Pleta.

Pleta de Mar was the highlight of my/our 2,5 weeks stay in 4 different hotels on the island.
What makes this place special?
First impression is wow; same like we remember it years ago, when arriving at Can Simoneta (the sister property). Welcoming at the hotel parking. The property is stunning; Understated luxury in the middle of a lush mediterranean garden. It is a boutique & adults-only hotel (16+) for the individual and not for the mass - like some other luxury hotels in Mallorca. So it was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion for us.
Beside the adults-only concept which always is a bless, the whole property is very peaceful and there was a pleasant guest structure. (I also didn’t experienced the popular and ruthless facetime calls from guests).
The feeling in the room was very private, we even didn’t noticed that we had neighbors. The suites are spread around the gardens but there are always few of them (5 or so) standing together, beside the top category villa with private pool, which is free-standing. A great feature to all suites are the outdoor showers, which are unique in Mallorca. The second shower is half outdoors, with glass sliding doors. Pure luxury - to bath under the Mallorcan skies with proper water pressure.
The other great thing was the culinary experience. The choice for breakfast is not huge but the quality is supreme. There were actually too many good things for breakfast ;-). We loved the professional but friendly service, especially in the evening. I pre-ordered a langoustine for the dinner which I did not consumed. There was no problem at all as I changed my mind. The atmosphere was always great and we loved to eat there so looked no further. Also, special wishes can be addressed to the restaurant at least 1 day prior; my husband wished to have a veggie burger and it was fabulous.
Because of the location surrounded by nature, as the name implies, "Pleta de Mar - Luxury Hotel by Nature" there are of course some insects, so it is not advisable to leave the doors of your suite open. For sure you will have some unwished guests then. At this time of year (summer) there were also lots of ants throughout the property what was sometimes bothering. I didn't knew where to put my yoga mat and where better not. Here and there also some outdoor furniture could be kept cleaner.
What could be also improved?
It was a pity for me that the pool maintenance and cleaning works were done in the morning hours between 6 am and 8 am, as I love to swim in the early morning. In both of the properties Pleta de Mar and Can Simoneta I saw pool cleaning workers and (noisy!) gardening works at that time. There were also signs with information that it is risky to use the pool before 10 am due to the use of pool treatment products. Not before 10 am means you can use the pool actually after breakfast only, which was a major limitation for me.
We would appreciate a service via WhatsApp for general issues, like it is often used in properties at that price level.
We found the choice of drinks and snacks at the pool very limited, but taste of the snacks was very good. The ordered cocktails at the pool where not always great and varying from the taste. We would have ordered more, if they were more reliable from the taste.
The pasta dish in the evening menu should be reconsidered, it’s not the level as it should be in a Michelin star restaurant. I don't mean pasta itself but the way it was cooked & presented. This was the only culinary disappointment I can remember.
The bathrooms get very warm at this time of year as there is no separate air condition.
Regarding the insects: If nothing can be done against the ants - I'm not an expert - maybe (and hopefully) there are less of them out of the summer season? If we come back to Mallorca then for plenty other reasons, not in summer.
By the way, it is easy to get to the beach. It’s a 10-15 minutes walk down through the sister hotel Can Simoneta. The Canyamel beach offers great swimming possibilities, especially during the morning hours (before 10:30 am, then it gets crowded). You shouldn't miss it to swim in the sea in the morning, when the sea is calm. The beach accessible directly from the hotel grounds is not that nice.
Artá is a nice getaway - only 15 minutes by car - if you are fancy for some shopping and culture.

We had a fabulous stay at Pleta de Mar, having stayed at its sister hotel Can Simoneta twice before and loved it we decided to try Pleta de Mar which is just next door. The main difference for us was the hotel is very secluded giving more privacy, you had the benefit of being able to use the facilities of both hotels (walking distance or a short golf buggy ride) resturant - spa - pool and beach which provided choices. The staff of both hotels are exceptionally good, they couldn’t be more helpful. The location of our suite (Junior Suite) overlooking the sea, outside seating areas and a chill area were ideal and again very private. We also particularly enjoyed the salt water infinity pool a perfect spot to chill. The bar and resturant have gorgeous views and the evening menu was varied and excellent quality - we ate mainly the fresh fish. The only piece of feedback is that on some mornings the breakfast service was not as good. We were not offered cooked breakfasts and the buffet area is limited especially if you don’t eat meat. When we proactively asked for a cooked option they were very happy to provide it. To give a specific example as there is a lot of fried and / or sweet options on the breakfast menu. Poached eggs are available if you ask for them but the quality of them varies significantly. More healthy options would be appreciated by us. This is only minor feedback as overall we had a very enjoyable stay and will go back.

The staff are always happy and go over and above, the manager Javier is charming and takes the time to truly understand what you want from your holiday and then the hotel itself is beautiful. You do need a car though if you want to explore area and go to local beaches and restaurants which isn’t a problem especially if you hire one from airport which is about 75 Km away on easy roads with light traffic.
