A good friend of mine recommended not only staying at Skylark but also getting a massage at Rockhouse. I had the pleasure of receiving a massage from Tobian, and it was truly magical. The warmth in the space was incredible, and I didn’t want it to end. I’m already booking a second massage before I leave!

Amazing resort. Does take about 2 hours to get there from the airport, so be forewarned. Staff was amazing. Gosset was one of the most helpful during our stay. But everyone we encountered was nice and helpful. Water was clear, property was clean. Room was nice. Pool was well kept...

Amazing resort. Does take about 2 hours to get there from the airport, so be forewarned. Staff was amazing. Gosset was one of the most helpful during our stay. But everyone we encountered was nice and helpful. Water was clear, property was clean. Room was nice. Pool was well kept as well as the rest of the property. 10 out of 10 for us. Is there room for improvement, always, but I would be nitpicking at things that other places are just as guilty at. If you are looking for a place (not directly on the beach) to go while in Jamaica, this is a great option. Their spa (see my other review on this) is second to none! Their sister beach resort offers a free shuttle to and from if interested in spending a day at the beach, which was equally nice.

This is pure cliffside paradise! Limestone staircases and patios are artfully cut into the cliffside, and descend straight into the ocean below. This is pure cliffside paradise! Limestone staircases and patios are artfully cut into the cliffside, and descend straight into the ocean below. It’s a bit like exploring a sandcastle that’s been around forever. For relaxation, find a choice umbrella & recliner and stake your spot in the sun. We stayed in one of the standard studio rooms which was an excellent value. The hotel is not all inclusive, but that is justifiably factored into the rate. The food is local, delicious and the staff so nice and attentive. We’re already plotting out our return trip, hopefully next year!

Staff is incredible! Home away from home! They are very attentive and make sure we have everything we need! The scenery is breathtaking, the food is delicious. When I accidentally lost something, the staff immediately jumped in to help me, no questions asked; such excellent customer service! Respect!

Another friendly welcome at Rockhouse. Our third time here & it’s the perfect place for chilling out and resetting good vibes. So peaceful, great atmosphere, rooms immaculate, Fab so see so Many familiar faces alongside new faces too. Looking forward to some spa treatments too

This is our 8th time here. The food, drinks, rooms and view are top notch. The spa is heavenly and we go once or twice every visit. We plan on going again next year and the year after and the year after….it truly is a one-of-a kind establishment. Peace. Love....

The treatment the staff gives, attention to details, the food, libations and of course, the best views on the West End. Rockhouse is OUR chill spot! Negril is the capital of causal and The Rockhouse is the capital of chill. Looking forward to Feb 2026 but also sad Feb 2025 is over.

An amazing stay at rockhouse that lived up to all expectations and cannot be matched. We stayed at rockhouse for the second half of our trip to Negril and found it the perfect haven after staying on the beach. The pool area is stunning supported by a great team of bar, waiting and pool/garden staff. Special mention to Aviajay on the bar he really is a gem. Before the stay we were a little worried about the outdoor shower but what a pleasant surprise, hearing the ocean as you shower is amazing and it is absolutely spotless and private ! We hope to be back one day, thank you

Let's start with the positive notes: * Excellent customer service: We previously planned this trip for 2023 but just a few days before the trip, I was diagnosed with potential (99.5% change of) cancer. Though the definite diagnoses was not given, we naturally had no desire to go there, and...

Let's start with the positive notes: * Excellent customer service: We previously planned this trip for 2023 but just a few days before the trip, I was diagnosed with potential (99.5% change of) cancer. Though the definite diagnoses was not given, we naturally had no desire to go there, and I mentioned this to their customer service. They gave us a 100% refund, though the dates were very close to the actual trip. (Later that month I was indeed diagnosed with cancer, but not an aggressive one). So I scheduled the trip again for 2024. * The scenery is indeed beautiful. You are right by the sea, you dine right by the sea, looking and listening to waves. I definitely prefer this kind of hotels to the beach hotels. * Food was good and was not super expensive. Mostly US prices. Now the negative: * We chose this place mainly for snorkeling. But we were hugely disappointed. I know that this is not hotel's fault, but there is no fish in the ocean. Just some small fish, and that's it. We also saw a small octopus, one flounder and one small ray. I think the whole Jamaica is like this because of overfishing. One night, we saw a small boat, with no lights on it, just in front of the hotel. We thought it was just anchored there, but then we saw two guys "waking up" after it was all dark. They began fishing, and we heard a few "mini explosions" while they were doing that. I have no clue about what type of fishing that is, but that might be the reason of no-fish. This is not good for Jamaica. I think they should do something to prevent overfishing. And the hotel management should lobby for that. * If you want to stay at the so-called apartments of this hotel, either: Don't stay there, or bring your ear plugs! Because, there is no glass windows on them! Yes, first hotel we ever stayed without glass windows! There is screen on them to prevent bugs etc., but lack of glasses make the room extremely noisy! We were sandwiched between two noisy neighbors: We heard one neighbour having (not-so-loud) sex. And the other neighbor thought someone how to play poker until 2am! This poker teaching guy was not talking loudly, just with his normal voice. But lack of glass windows sounded his speech right near our beds. It was a horrible night! Next night we wanted ear plugs and the lobby lady told us to buy them from their (rather expensive) store. We went to the store, and they were out of stock. Luckily some other employee brought us the plugs (for free!) that night so we could sleep next days. So I am giving them 3 stars. If they had glass windows, that would be 4 stars. Installing a glass window to those should not be more than a few nights revenue per room. If the hotel management is reading this: For the sake of Jamaica's future, please do something to prevent overfishing! A few years ago we were in Cayman, which is not far away, and it was full of fish! I know Cayman is much richer and won't compare, but with overfishing, you are killing your own future!

The resort is amazing. Views are incredible. The food and service at all the restaurants has been amazing. Looking forward to spending the rest of our time the resort and visiting the sister property Slylark. Rooms are spacious and very clean.

Great great location. Great restaurant on the rocks, and great pool too. I loved morning yoga. They have a sister hotel on the beach so you can do both the cliff and the beach experience. Nice spa, busy. To do: sunset drinks at the pool bar, breakfast on the rocks

The views are stunning! This is the perfect place to sit back, relax & disconnect from the world. The accommodations are refreshing rustic, outdoor showers, no TV in our room. Being American, we tend to rely too much on this stuff & the Rockhouse gives us the break we need!

This is one of our favorite hotels in the world and we keep coming back (I think this most recent visit was our 8th over the past 15 years!). We usually stay in one of the villas and love having the privacy of our own patio, deck chairs and water access, while still being near the great vibe of the pool bar area. I love the lush tropical landscaping and winding paths, snorkeling in Pristine Cove, jumping off the cliffs, and just decompressing and relaxing. I think I sleep better here than anywhere — super comfortable beds and quiet except for the sound of the ocean. The food is excellent and varied and we’re always looking forward to the next meal. I think about the breakfast (that strong, delicious Jamaican coffee and fresh tropical fruit) for weeks before arriving! I loved my deep tissue massage at the spa on this recent stay. And finally, the staff — they are to a person warm, friendly, and make the stay feel even more special. We’re always sad to leave.

Beautiful views, heated pool, and great rooms. Plus amazing jerk at the pushcart restaurant. Can’t go wrong! We scheduled a boat ride and did a cool snorkeling trip as well - got to feed a bunch of fish and see all the colors in the crazy coral reefs.

this is the most beautiful resort i've ever been to with the friendliest staff! the views are incredible and the rooms are stunning and very comfortable. it has everything you need for a relaxing and fun tropical getaway - we never want to leave!
