My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Raffles Singapore this past February, and from the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was nothing short of perfect.
From the warm welcome at arrival to the attentive concierge service, every detail was handled with genuine care and professionalism. A special mention must go to our butler, Shannon, who was outstanding—thoughtful, discreet, and always one step ahead in ensuring we had everything we needed.
Each morning began with breakfast in the Tiffin Room, which set the tone for the day beautifully. The variety was unbelievable—fresh, vibrant fruit selections, an incredible assortment of bakery items, and both European and international dishes, all prepared to the highest standard.
Our suite was perfectly appointed, combining timeless elegance with modern comforts. The attention to detail throughout the room, from the plush bedding to the thoughtful amenities, made it feel like a true home away from home.
What really sets Raffles apart is the people. Every staff member we encountered was not only friendly and welcoming but also exceptionally knowledgeable and professional.
Raffles Singapore delivers on its legendary reputation in every way—a truly 5-star experience that we will always remember. We cannot wait to return.

The lovely bartender, Ling, made the experience even more unforgettable by sharing fascinating stories about the history of the drink and the rich heritage of Singapore. She truly became a part of my celebration, and her warm hospitality, along with the entire staff, made us feel so special. They are a true credit to Raffles! I will cherish that day

I first came to Raffles for tea in 1984 when I was twelve having been taken on an all expenses paid trip to Singapore by a school friend whose parents lived in Singapore.
It only took 40 years for me to return as a hotel guest on a stopover on our way back from a holiday in Australia. I’m so glad we did stop. The hotel is lovely, the room was fabulous and the service was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. One of the nicest touches was when my wife ordered some vegan milk and a bowl and spoon to have some cereal in our room on the first night, the same thing was provided the following night without us having to ask again.
I definitely won’t leave it another 40 years to return!

We had a good stay here at the Grande Dame to celebrate the missus's birthday. They upgraded us from a Palm Court suite to a Personality suite - though it seemed slightly smaller, the Noel Coward suite was nicely appointed with a comfortable parlour filled with amenities like complimentary drinks and snacks.
The bedroom was large, if a tad on the dark side, and the lights, TV, aircon and curtains could be conveniently controlled via a pad next to the bed. The room was comfortable, though we did find the King size bed to be too soft, even with the firm Tempur pillows. In fact, the wife and I agreed that was the worst sleep we have had in a while (i managed 30 minutes of zzz), as the sides of the bed were also angled out, which gave the sensation of sliding off if we were too close to the edge. The wifi was also slightly iffy, and did drop a few times.
The bathroom was large, with a bathtub, and the shower area alone was so huge that around 6-9 people could sit or stand in there, if they were so inclined. The bathroom was good looking with beautiful floor tiles, but these were smooth and slightly slippery.
There was 24-hour butler service provided and the young, energetic and friendly staff helped us to get reservations for the Long Bar, as well as confirm our dinner timing.
Breakfast at the Tiffin room was great, with cold food like juices, cereal, fruits etc available at a buffer, while you can order hot items such as pancakes, nasi goreng or eggs benedict off a menu.
Service was great throughout, and a shout out to the concierge staff and the Sikh greeter, who were super friendly and helpful.
We would have loved to do the tour with historian Leslie Danker (who incidentally celebrates another milestone year in March) which includes the Presidential Suite but we did not know this has to be reserved in advance.

Booked and visited the Court yard for a 2pm lunch on the 4th March.
We previously visited in June 2023 and feel the service we would normally expect was lacking this visit.
The staff never explained the menu choices and when we asked fir assistance we were told she would be back but never did.
We both had ice cream for desert and my wife's was served 10 minutes after mine so we were unable to eat desert together. Again I tried to attact the staffs attention to this fact but was ignored.
Overall we felt we were not a welcome customers. Food was fine, not exceptional, but it was only lunch, but on out previous visit there was a much greater choice, as the new menu was very limited and we felt we were forced to have Satay due to the limitations.
As requested i uploaded our photographs as Raffles stated we would be personally greater and I thought this would be a nice surprise for my wife. But that never happened.
Overall, just disappointed as we expected a bit more from Raffles.
We then visited the long bar for a drink, this experience was fantastic. The staff were polite and attentive and explained everything we needed to know and service was five star. Maybe the courtyard staff should spend sometime in the long bar to see how excellent customer service is achieved.

Though this review comes a bit later than expected, I want to ensure that the unforgettable, luxurious experience I had during my stay in December 2024 at Raffles is properly acknowledged. We specifically chose Raffles to check off a major item on our Singapore to-do list, and the experience did not disappoint—particularly the outstanding service.
Upon our early arrival, my fiancé and I were fortunate enough to join a historical walk led by Mr. Roslee. His knowledge and enthusiasm were truly impressive! We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the fascinating historical artifacts and furniture in the building, and we appreciated hearing about his personal connection to the property.
As we checked in just a day before our wedding, we were delighted by the thoughtful and beautiful decorations arranged by our amazing personal butler James, as well as the attentive front office team. Their kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail made our stay even more special.
A special mention goes to the Chief Concierge, Mr. Hafiz, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. His professionalism, warmth, and sense of humor made us feel incredibly welcome, and we couldn’t have asked for better service from him and his team.
Before we left, we visited the Raffles Boutique and picked up the wonderful hand and body soap that we had become obsessed with during our stay. It was a perfect souvenir to remind us of our amazing time at Raffles.
We truly had no complaints, and we look forward to returning, perhaps for our anniversary in the future. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable!

Apparently the Slings are made fresh unlike I was told the long room where they are batch prepared.. not that it makes a significant difference! The famous monkey nuts were a hoot! Afternoon tea in the beautiful lobby was excellent, really delicate well crafted cakes and sarnies ample supplies to keep leg weary tourists fuelled! A glass of champagne was extra but like the tea very good value! All in all a great experience and a shout out to the gracious staff especially Harry who looked after our lovely table

Having been to Raffles on 2 previous occasions and enjoyed the synonymous Singapore Sling in the long bar, we decided to revisit in 7th February. Totally shocked to see the enormous queue snaking round the 1st floor balconies.... probably at least a 90 minute wait before entering what would have been a very crowded space.
Decided in a bar in the courtyard - few occupied tables but waited 20 minutes....they were extremely slow taking our simple order of 2 Singapore slings a 2 slices of cake....had to asked for the peanuts traditionally served with the drink. Had to enquire several times where our order was.....20+ mins for drinks and further 20+ mins for cake - a joke!! 3 other tables after us were served and payed before our order arrived
Very expensive at 130Sg$ which included the obligatory 10%tip.
A beautiful location and iconic building which is overrun with visitors
The Shop is also overpriced despite the very nice items

The Raffles Hotel is definitely an ‘excellent +’ hotel. It deserves a 10 but all I could give it here is a maximum of 5. We had the most memorable time staying here and it was very luxurious. The butler served us tea and hand-made chocolates which were a nice treat upon arrival. The staff know how to spoil their guests and we were certainly spoiled at Raffles! From check-in to check-out, it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in a hotel.
Mr. Nazir told us a lot of historical information about the hotel during the afternoon tour. He was very knowledgeable and also spoke from personal experiences because he had worked at the hotel for many the years. Now, he is the ‘official’ historian here. We enjoyed learning all about Raffles. We had the famous Singapore sling in the courtyard first and then later had another at the Long Bar. Delicious!
We had an amazing breakfast in the restaurant. There were so many options including a good assortment of fresh fruit, pastries, egg dishes to order and many Asian dish options. The gift store was very nice with many souvenirs. It was a pleasure to walk around the grounds and the beautifully landscaped gardens.
Thanks to all the staff for our fantastic stay here!

Special thanks to Mr. Thamarai with his team which are making a wonderful job at the Courtyard bar and Restaurant. We felt us always in good hands with perfect courtesy in a relaxing environment.

We've stayed at many nice hotels and, while this may be the best (I'd have to give it more thought), Raffles doesn't miss on anything. The rooms are lacking for nothing and so well appointed: Quiet and beautiful, we couldn't have been more comfortable in our suite, bathrooms fully stocked and beautiful, large TV in each room, slippers in both men and women sizes, VERY comfortable bed, complimentary morning coffee/tea, the list goes on and on. The staff gets to know your name and preferences, including the bars (Writer's Bar is a special visit). The hotel accommodates their "residents" - we were able to secure at table at the Long Bar even while there was a queue. I won't review the restaurants here as I'll capture them separately. We already want to go back and probably will.

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in! Better than Claridges, the Ritz or the Savoy in London; the Georges Cinq in Paris; the Four Seasons in New York; the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong…
What makes it the best?
•The attention to details so minute you didn’t realise they are missing in other hotels, but they make all the difference.
•The staff and their attitude as well as their friendliness. So observant, so helpful and thoughtful - they made us feel right at home.
•The cleanliness and condition of the rooms and bathrooms (as well as the public spaces) are outstanding. Not a cobweb or speck of dust anywhere and when we were staying they were even repainting the drain grills!!!
This hotel is the epitome of luxury and we cannot praise it highly enough. We cannot wait to come back!

Having been to the hotel to dine on previous visits to Singapore we decided to stay here for a couple of nights on our way back from New Zealand. I was a little apprehensive beforehand that we might be disappointed having stayed in some lovely hotels in Singapore over the years but there was no need for that, Raffles proved to be absolutely amazing.
The iconic hotel is beautiful, relaxed and peaceful.
Staff were super efficient and friendly and made you feel very special.
The bedroom was spacious with a large sitting area and a fabulous bathroom.
We spent a wonderful morning by the swimming pool which was very quiet on the day we were there - plenty of comfortable sun loungers with umbrellas for shade.
We booked direct with the hotel and received a complimentary afternoon tea, a limousine transfer from the airport and a welcome Singapore Sling.
As guests of the hotel we reserved a table in The Long Bar at a time to suit us, which meant bypassing a very long queue! We also had drinks and snacks in The Writers Bar on our second evening, which was actually even better than The Long Bar.
Breakfast in the Tiffin Room was fabulous, a lovely buffet to choose from as well as an A La Carte menu.
Raffles was definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in worldwide and we will hopefully return.
