Poco Diablo Resort

The photos were a bit misleading. The lobby area is beautiful and fully renovated. However, the rooms themselves are like the rooms you’d expect in a motel. When you walk in, there is the typical carpet mustiness and did not feel $300-$400 worth—pretty overpriced if you ask me

Road trip! Drove up to Sedona from Mesa. Did not have reservations. Found this hidden gem! Price for night was fantastic, room was slightly dated decor but all very clean, comfy and the gas fireplace gave it a romantic touch. Staff fabulous!

Don't waste your money. For the high price, this place is dreadful. Our 'luxury room' had: Holes in the ceiling, dirty and disgusting bathtubs.. we therefore refused to use, tissue dispensers hanging off the wall, shower handle hanging off the wall and therefore dangerous & unusable, holes and tears in...

Don't waste your money. For the high price, this place is dreadful. Our 'luxury room' had: Holes in the ceiling, dirty and disgusting bathtubs.. we therefore refused to use, tissue dispensers hanging off the wall, shower handle hanging off the wall and therefore dangerous & unusable, holes and tears in the shower curtain, fireplace didn't work. We spent 2 nights here and it cost over $1000! Never again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Poco Diablo. Great room, clean and comfortable. All the modern conveniences. Good bedding too. Beautiful setting all around. Helpful and friendly staff. The grounds with the outdoor pits were a special touch.

Not a resort. Carpet in rooms are filthy, stained furniture and the bedsheets are completely worn through — to the point the textile is rough! I’ve never slept on a creakier bed. Reminds me of staying in room above a pub in England when I was a student. Totally sucked.

My only issue is that I booked the hotel through a 3rd party. Who ever fault it was, the prices did not match, and I have never had the issue with the party I book through. Not a big difference, but a difference was there. All in all, I would likely stay here again.

The pool was nice as well although the lounge chairs could be upgraded. When our plans changed unexpectedly hotel staff was helpful and allowed us a late checkout Location is good as well. Close to the downtown Sedona shops and restaurants but far enough away the enjoy the night sky.

this is not a resort, it is a worn-down "resort" not renewed since the 80's hardly any better than a motel. way too expensive for what you get. we were on a 3week roundtrip with 2 nights in Sedona, where we always stayed at at least 3* hotels everywhere worthy of that qualification. this one also claims 3* quality but a part from the reception and the restaurant and maybe a suite at the golfcourse, there is absolutely nothing 3* about a standard room. it smelled, there was no daylight, i felt like i was staying in a basement, the shower curtain's smell was terrible. i am sure the cleaning crew is doing the best they can to clean these rooms but how can a room with no daylight or fresh air not smell? the pictures on booking are misleading, the pool is outdated and way smaller, with only 6 sunbeds, that were old and filthy too. very disappointing to be honnest.

Besides being outdated, the fire alarm went off 3 times in our room between 2:00am and 3:00am due to some malfunction. The AC was so noisy it sounded like there was construction going on. No breakfast. There are better places to stay in Sedona for the money.

Arrival looked promising with a nice clean, sparkly reception and smiley receptionist. Standard room meant standard service unfortunately. Allocated a room on a first floor block some distance from the main resort. The room was large, but dank smelling and clearly in need of a refurb. It was clean, but the room was dark and uninviting. The bathroom was old and badly decorated. We found out during the night that the shower and tap dripped. There was an allocation of one each of body wash, soap block and body cream. The body wash was used and nearly empty. However, there were large containers of shampoo and conditioner! Luckily we had our own. We felt a little looked down at by the receptionist. Hopefully not because of our British accents. The resort seemed quiet on arrival and few cars parked. We found our room was next to an already occupied room as it had a 'Do not disturb' label on the door. We ended up with rather noisy neighbours that night with their intimacy noises. What we didn't understand was that there were clearly many unoccupied rooms at the resort but they felt it necessary to allocate two adjoining rooms which are not adequately soundproofed. It was too late at night to make a fuss when the 'antics' started. The coffee machine used pods and we had been allocated two coffee pods, so needed more. The next day we ventured over to reception to ask for more to discover they were kept there but had to be provided by housekeeping. The receptionist informed us that more would be delivered, but nothing came. There was an air of snobbery in the main part of the resort and we felt underwhelmed. The feel was echoed by obvious local alfluent types playing tennis all day along with a tennis coach. Thank goodness we didn't try and use the tennis courts! We stayed at seven hotels during our two week tour and this was the worst. We asked about breakfast charges and received a somewhat curt response telling us it depended on what we ordered!

If you are going to be in Sedona this is the place to be! The staff was so wonderful & kind! The room was just what we needed! Beautiful grounds, well kept! The restaurant was delicious, we ate there twice! Just overall a lovely place! Well worth the price! Also...
