We were traveling across the country and at the last minute decided to stay here. It has been the best hotel we have stayed in and the best value. We loved the room with traditional Santa Fe decor and a gas fireplace in the room. The tile floors in the bathroom were warm and the shower was fabulous. I liked that we had robes in the bathroom.
We had dinner in the onsite bistro, and the food was delicious.
The breakfast was included and tasty with fresh fruit.
The hotel was pet friendly.

We really like this location. It is just a short walk to The Plaza, restaurants, and downtown. There is a nice park with city buildings across the street. We had a suite with a small outdoor patio overlooking the park. Flowers were starting to bloom on some of the trees. We could see mountains from our patio seats while having morning coffee. The room was really nice. Very quiet and well appointed. The breakfast area and lobby are nice, too. The breakfasts were good and gave us a solid start to our days, though they were not the best that we had during our SW trip. We'd happily stay at this Inn on our next trip to the area.

I was really excited to stay here because I often visit the La Fonda hotel down the street. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing right from check-in. The man at the front desk didn't greet us, despite us being the only people in the lobby, and was extremely unfriendly when I inquired about early check-in or other details.
Additionally, if you're walking and don't have a key card, be prepared to walk all the way around to the front and then to the back, as the pedestrian gate was inaccessible from the street, which was very inconvenient.
The only highlight of my stay was the room, which featured a gas fireplace and a comfortable bed. However, due to the poor customer service at check-in and the high cost, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

good outweighs the negatives
positives:
- location
- atmosphere
- heated floor!
- robes
delicious breakfast
negatives:
- the front desk attendant couldn’t find my reservation so immediately assumed it was an error on my part. welcome to pinon court lol.
- fitness center across the street is awful.
I’ll start with a few minor irritants first: -$25 a night for parking. Seriously, they should just include parking in their pricing. -Internet is sporadic throughout the site. Best place for internet is the lobby and adjacent dining room. Did not work in our room. -Minor traffic noise from roads...
I’ll start with a few minor irritants first:
-$25 a night for parking. Seriously, they should just include parking in their pricing.
-Internet is sporadic throughout the site. Best place for internet is the lobby and adjacent dining room. Did not work in our room.
-Minor traffic noise from roads surrounding property.
-Room walls are a little thin so don’t be surprised by adjacent room noise. Didn’t really matter as place was pretty quiet after 9.
-A few homeless in the nearby Santa Fe river area, but they seem harmless and we were never approached for money. Significant nearby police presence due to location of state government.
Pluses:
-Old town area is about 300 feet away. Great location, so probably best to leave the car when exploring. Only three blocks from the rail town area too. State Capitol is across the street.
-Comfortable, very clean, and well appointed rooms. We had a queen bed. Usual room amenities and except for the internet issues, a 5.
Great shower. TV had the funky channels that most hotels now have since most people stream their preferred shows anyhow. Did enjoy watching old Star Trek reruns.
-Excellent and well staffed cleaning and maintenance crews. Same for the front desk and dining room teams. This is a well run hotel.
-Nice breakfast each day. Please remember to tip the dining room team if you can.

Pleasant staff. Room 23. Our room wasn’t huge, but had everything we needed. Refrigerator, microwave, desk, robes, bathroom, vanity space, plenty of hangers. Breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of hot and cold items to start our day. Good location, easy to walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Bed could’ve been a little softer.

This is our first visit since La Fonda took ownership, we have stayed here two previous times when it was the Old Santa Fe Inn. The rooms have been renovated and we loved the walk-in shower, it’s clean and well decorated. Our experience with the front desk clerks was less than stellar. They were friendly but any requests of them were “yes’ed” with no follow through. For example, we were a bit early for check in and were promised a text once our room was available - never happened. I am allergic to down pillows and the bed had 4 down pillows, I requested some regular pillows, after first insisting that the down pillows were hypo-allergenic allergenic, the clerk finally agreed to deliver the replacement pillows shortly - never happened. Finally was able to find someone to bring me some. One of the best things about the Old Santa Fe Inn was the staff, they were genuinely nice and seemed to enjoy their work, this was noticeably different this visit. We also noticed that the breakfast was not quite as good, we had cold eggs one day, the coffee was good and there was some fresh fruit which we enjoyed. On balance, it was a pleasant stay but we just miss the homey atmosphere of the former establishment.

The room is decorated with original artwork, and our room has a sweet little gas fireplace which wards off the cool mountain air . The shower is tiled with a heated floor. The breakfast is good. It s only $6.00 to catch an uber to the plaza!
This is a really cozy, clean place!
