We stayed 10 nights and it was the most beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The view of table Mountain from the bar is breath-taking! The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you, very friendly and very attentive. We stayed in the island rooms right next to the pool which were beautiful and the turndown service and little gifts that we received nightly were a lovely touch. We have fallen in love with cape town and the hotels location is perfect being right on the V & A waterfront, with beautiful shops and restaurants. Cant wait to return! Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

The One and Only is in a great location just a short stroll to the heart of the V&A waterfront - a very safe location for tourists so you can wonder out during the day and evening. Also a good location for the many tourist attractions including daily cruises, hop on hop off bus (which stops at the cable car station at table mountain), helicopter tours, and the gateway to Robben Island to see where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years (book tickets in advance). We stayed in a harbour view room which was extremely spacious with views of the harbour and table mountain, an enormous bathroom, comfortable bed, and it was spotless. Plenty of complimentary water and tea/coffee facilities in the room every day. Wifi really good throughout the hotel, rooms and pool area. The service was first class and a member of staff would not walk past without saying good morning - the staff could not do enough for you whether you were at the pool, in the bar or in the restaurants. I would recommend the cocktails in the vista bar where you can watch the clouds rolling down table mountain, fantastic breakfast and African food in ROOI and a great vibe and asian experience in Nobu. We also sampled the food from Isola whilst at the swimming pool. Whilst the hotel restaurants are first class I would also recommend you try The Time Out Market, Karibu, and Harbour House - all a short walk from the hotel. Other excursions not to miss - penguins at Boulders Beach, helicopter tour down to Cape of Good Hope, trip with a driver touring the wine country (la petite ferme in Franschhoek for lunch), cable car up table mountain, Robben Island. We will be staying here again - very highly recommended.

We’re just finishing a four night stay at this incredible hotel. The staff, the huge rooms, the facilities are nothing short of outstanding. Candles in the bathroom in case you fancied a bath, snacks replenished in your room every day and Each evening a gift was left for you at bedtime, little notes left by the housekeeping staff, most of the staff even remember your name which is unbelievable considering the size of the hotel. For its size it’s surprising how exclusive it feels but it absolutely does. Wade deserves a special mention who is the gym manager. He took us on a hike up table mountain and his local knowledge of not just the immediate area was great. I would definitely recommend that rather than queueing for the cable car if you’re for enough. The staff around the pool couldn’t be more attentive, amazing breakfast, great gym and we ate in the Rooi restaurant on our last night, the best service and wagu rib eye ever. Don’t stay anywhere else in Cape Town it’s so close to the waterfront so you can wander around and uber is so easy from here if you want to nip to see the penguins at boulders bay or for a lovely lunch at camps bay.

We had the pleasure of starting our honeymoon here for 4 days. We have never experienced such incredible luxury, service and comfort from start to finish. The staff are unbelievably attentive, helpful and courteous. We have been treated like royality and thoroughly spoilt. Our room was beautifully decorated with rose petals on our arrival, spotlessly clean with beautiful touches including a bottle of bubbles, chocolates and biscuits. The daily gifts left in our room was an extra special touch that we can bring home with us to remember such a wonderful time. The spa is a must! Fantastic facilities and the relaxation room was a lovely little surprise! We had the couples massage I chose a relaxing one and my husband chose to have a deep tissue both of us left feeling amazing! Again the staff went above and beyond even bringing hair products and a brush so I didn’t need to return to my room. Thank you to each and every member of staff that has made the start of our adventure one we will never forget.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! The best we've ever stayed at. Very upscale feel and worth the price. Our room was lovely with a view of Tabletop Mountain from the bathtub. Wow! The marina view is also lovely, and we enjoyed watching the seals play during the day. The food was excellent! The breakfast buffet was beyond anything we've ever seen. Everything was fresh and delicious. The smoothies were amazing. We had room service several times and enjoyed it immensely. They would even call us to ensure we were happy with our order. That's wonderful service! The hotel is spotless. Our room was kept beautifully clean our entire stay and everyone we encountered were so friendly and helpful. We didn't want to leave! Tips - they supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bubble bath, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving cream, loofah, cotton rounds, Q-tips and even a candle to burn during your bath.

We arrived at the hotel on Tuesday morning after an 11-and-a-half-hour flight. We were welcomed by friendly staff with such hospitality that they carried our suitcases to our island view apartment while we checked in. The staff was very professional and helpful, and we were shown around the hotel by one of the staff and then taken to our island view apartment by electric buggy and were greeted by a friendly security guard who looks after our part of the holiday island. We arrived at our room; wow, it's an open plan apartment with a balcony and rainfall shower. There is a very big TV on the wall and a sprite bar and also cold drinks in the fridge below, as well as snacks and soft drinks which you pay for. There are some complimentary flapjack bites and fresh fruit topped up every day, as well as free large bottled water. You also get your bed turned down for you and you also get some bottles of water for the night as well as personal touches from the housekeeping team. There are free coffee pods and tea also and an assortment of hygiene items as well as fresh towels daily. There is shower gel and moisturizer as well as a toothbrush and razor. The food is first class and drinks are all affordable prices.we had bed and breakfast which was excelent and also the bar snacks where 1st class. Athony & marco the two barmen were excellent .and veiws are to die for but i wont ruin it for you .

I love the thoughtful biscuits and fruit supplied as well as the linen spray at night and little notes beside the bed….all lovely touches. The best are the do not disturb ‘doll’ and the make up the room feather duster. The staff are amazing and the breakfast good. Hopefully we can return again soon

Beautiful luxury hotel in Cape town. We had the most amazing view of the v and a waterfront and table mountain. Breakfast was delicious but the highlight is definitely the staff. Special mention to Menzi who was our host. He was super friendly and helpful and made out stay.

For the second leg of our Cape Town & Winelands adventure we wanted a room at the V&A Waterfront with a view of Table Mountain. One&Only did not disappoint. It’s a large hotel but it didn’t feel like it. The use of WhatsApp to keep in touch with Guest Services was something we’d not used before, and it was excellent. Weeks before we arrived the Concierge team helped us plan our stay and made all the arrangements. Their suggestions and advice certainly enhanced our experience. Apart from the view of Table Mountain – which continually changes with the weather – it’s ideally located to enjoy what’s on offer at the Waterfront. Must not forget to mention breakfast, which offers such an array of tempting food. No reason to eat again before dinner! All in all, a great experience.
