Beautiful location with room for improvement
The hotel is in a very beautiful and quiet setting overlooking the valley. The building is very tasteful and well maintained, we liked our room with a view. Some areas for improvement: the service level varies from super helpful and English speaking via helpful/not English speaking to just not motivated....

The quality of food is ok, but not more and we went to San Martín for dinner on our second evening and had much better quality. Breakfast could offer healthier choices, eg muesli rather than corn flakes etc.
And finally the security control to the whole area is cumbersome and a pain.

We stayed here for golf, and from that perspective the hotel was fantastic, located alongside what has to be one of the best courses in the world and just yards from the clubhouse, where we enjoyed outstanding service from everyone, including all the Pro Shop staff. On that basis, we would recommend Loi Suites.
As for the hotel itself, there were pluses and minuses. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant, we found bar and restaurant staff to be attentive and friendly and we had a very large and comfortable suite, albeit without any airconditioning, which meant our golf course view had to be blocked by curtains all day long in order to keep a blazing sun at bay.
A big minus was the lack of a balcony, promised on the hotel's website. It turns out that only a few suites have balconies, and in any event all those balconies appear to be faux: they are simply wooden appendages (some looking more than a little frayed) bolted onto the outside wall and inaccessible from the rooms themselves. Certainly, no balconies appear to exist at this establishment that one could actually sit on and enjoy a morning coffee on. As for coffee - we were informed by Reception on day two of our three-night stay that only two pods per room are complimentary, irrespective of the length of stay. Make of that little instance of mean-mindedness what you will.
Finally, we were checked into a room below the category our travel agent actually booked and which we'd paid for. When we raised this with Reception, we were offered a genuine suite with an outside deck, but since this offered no view at all, being on the ground floor and blocked, in stifling heat, by a small hillock, we settled for the smaller suite we'd had our luggage delivered to. An apology would have been nice, but none was forthcoming, and there was no suggestion of any refund. One can't help but feel that encouraging Reception staff to be just a little more customer-focused would do this hotel no harm at all.

We loved staying here. We stayed 5 nights. The rooms are large with beautiful views of the mountains and golf course. Lighting a bit poor but heating and water excellent.
Breakfast is very good.
Situated relatively close to the town centre. If you play golf the course is just outside the hotel.
Dining is good, unfortunately they did not have some of the options like mutton or chicolate marquise which were iffered in the menu.
The building is a little run down and could do with a little revamping. Some chairs need cleaning.
Will definitely stay there again.

Hotel is19 km out of town which was not a problem for us, set in a very nice location over looking the golf course & with views of the Andes. Room was excellent , except for the lack of A.C. First night we had a meal in the the hotel restaurant,my meal was very good as was the service, unfortunately my wife's meal was not as enjoyable- prawns. On departure morning I was able to access the breakfast as they where setting it up,which was very good of the staff. I note Marianof244 comments about poor service, I can only say our 3 week trip with stays in 6 hotels, we had excellent service & the people very friendly & helpful.Plus it's a lovely country.

We were pleasantly surprised by these accommodations because we had stayed in the Loi Suites Recoleta in Buenos Aires and were VERY disappointed. We had a room overlooking that golf course with stunning views of the Andes. The room was nicely appointed, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. We loved the separate tub and shower. Be aware that there is no air conditioning; it was hot while we were there and opened the windows but got limited circulation. The hotel is isolated so its wonderfully quiet, even with the windows open.
The golf course is a 2 minute walk from the hotel; be aware that the restaurant there is a separate entity so you can't charge food to your room. We were with a golfing group so the golf was taken care of but if you stay there, I would find out if you can charge the golf to your room as well, just so you aren't put in an embarrassing situation where you don't have a cash or a credit card with you. The course is a Jack Nicklaus design; we played it twice and really enjoyed it.
We ate dinner in the restaurant twice and had wonder food and service both times. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Very nice and quiet hotel in a gated community well outside of San Martin. The only disadvantage is the somewhat restricted quality of the restaurant so that you will either have to leave the area or to try that one at the adjoining golf club if they let you in.

Patagonia at its best!!! We visited San Martin de los Andes for the first time and it was during spring (First week of November). You could see some snow at the tip of the mountains the hotel is surrounded by. The airport is less than 10 minutes away and the hotel has the best views of the mountains and the Jack Nicklaus golf course at the Chapelco Golf Club (right in the same location)
Hotel staff were super nice (Marcela the manager and Manuela at front desk).
Take in to account a couple of things though: the "town" is 25 o 30 minutes away (driving) from the hotel so keep in mind that pharmacy (drugstores) or conveniences stores are not close by. Also, the hotel is not really prepared for HOT summer weather in terms of AC (On hot days we would have to open the windows at night, it is lovely but still, no AC)

No AC in summer (we were told to open windows on -1 floor). This should probably be in your advertisements

The hotel is supposed to be the best hotel in san martin, but the service was poor! The hotel is very far from the city and from the ski station, and they dont offer any type of transportation to get the guests into the city, acctually they couldnt care less about how you get there or how much it costs to get a taxi everytime you need to get to the city.
The place was not cleaned properly, my allergies were crazy there, I couldn't breathe at night.
Aside from this we experienced the worst snowstorm in 20 years, sure this is not the hotel's fault but the weather is predictable, I already knew a bad snowstorm was coming, so as a TOP LISTED hotel, they should have been prepared, store food, water, gas for the emergency generator, etc. but they didn't, and what happened is the power was out (no charging phones) than the water was out (no baths) and the food was also out (not even water to drink believe me or noT). We had to leave , to eat and other basic stuff and the front desk manager wouldt even offer her cell phone to call for a taxi, since ours couldn't be charged and the phone lines were ALSO dead. A complete nightmare !
Since I have been to san martin before, and after i left Loi I saw the city was working perfectly (aside from a few difficulties) I guarantee this is not the experience you want or should have in san Martin.

As our journey to travel the amazing Route 40 to the South continue, we reach this wonderful hotel at the foot of the Andes and a close distance of the beautiful San Martin de los Andes town.
What could I tell you, it is nothing short of amazing, I had been in luxury hotels but I did not expect to see one there in such latitudes. The photos that I attach will let you judge by yourself.
Regarding the attention, the cleanliness, the services, the dinning and breakfast, it was second to none. And even more…. In a country where the internet and the cell phone technology works in some spots and not always good, the hotel Wi-Fi was more than acceptable.
On the other hand, due to the exchange rate, the stay here become a bargain.
No doubt is the place to stay, beside keep in mind that if you are a skiing person, Chapelco slopes, the best on Argentina, are just 15 Mi. away.

This is a wonderful hotel a short distance from San Martin de los Andes. We arrived here after contracting an illness in a previous destination. The hotel was just what we needed to recuperate and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Andes. The restaurant can be recommended for fine dining.

Definitely not a 4.5 star hotel. The building and views of the area are very nice, however, it was very hot and they had no air conditioning. We asked for a fan but they did not have any. The hotel is 18 km from town. A taxi one way costs $21 and since the taxi comes from downtown, it takes 20-25 min to come and pick you up. Th signage for the hotel at night is non existent. It was very difficult finding the hotel at night. For a snack, we ordered a cold cuts and cheese platter. After 25 minutes of waiting for our food, I inquired about my food. We were told the delay was because they did not know what kind of cold cuts and cheese went on the tray. Really!! Not 4.5 star service!! The front desk personnel were great, spoke perfect English and were very helpful. The exterior and interior of the hotel is very nice, however, there was broken furniture in the lobby which should have been removed and replaced. They need to pay more attention to detail.
