Great atmosphere. Nice ambiance. Nice interior. Great staff and wonderful food.
Close to a nice beach. Good beach club with really nice staff.
The area around the hotel is not very interesting. So if you are staying many days you might need a car.

During our honeymoon, we stayed at four luxury boutique hotels and two larger luxury city hotels across Mykonos, Crete, Athens, and Santorini. Out of all of them, this hotel provided the most incredible experience. Honestly, we weren’t fans of Oia—the main attraction in Santorini—but despite that, we still tell everyone Santorini was our favorite island. And that’s entirely because of this hotel.
Though we stayed in luxury accommodations throughout, this hotel consistently left us in awe. Everything was exceptional: the room, the lobby, the dining area, the pool, the beach, and the daybeds. The location was truly unparalleled—imagine a charming, local beach town. If you’ve heard people say they don’t like Santorini, I understand. But they probably haven’t been to Perivolos. Trust me—keep this gem of a beach town a secret!
The atmosphere, the food, and even the cats all added to the magic of this place. Since coming home, we’ve told all our family and friends to skip Oia and the other islands. After visiting Crete and Mykonos, Perivolos—and especially this hotel—is the only place to be. A special shoutout to Stelios, the best bartender and one of the friendliest people we met. Every local here is amazing. We will absolutely be back!

A lovely relaxing hotel with attentive, helpful staff
We had a lovely week at this hotel. All the staff were excellent and really looked after us. We particularly liked the additional touches such as the chocolates and drinks. The location was great and along with the very helpful and attentive staff, a perfect and relaxing holiday.

We had an incredible stay at Istoria. We stayed in the Conte Suite, which was spacious and had a nice balcony with a jacuzzi overlooking the sea. The hotel has comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, gorgeous pool, wonderful beach area, and even a cute spa. As beautiful as this hotel is, what really sets it apart is the service. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Special shout out to Stelios and Bismarck for being super fun and making sure we were always having a good time. Rebeca was a delight to see each morning serving breakfast. Also, I didn’t catch his name, but the man who brought our luggage to and from the room and who seemed to always be available if you need anything, was awesome. Really good vibes all around at this hotel. I cannot recommend Istoria enough!

Quiet rest close to the beach
it is a lovely hotel with a fantastic swimming pool and nice restaurant - quite expensive.
it is a pity that no sparkling wine was available by glass and no lounge was arranged to change our clothes before departure to the airport especially for a 5 stars hotel.
Boutique hotel by the sea
Boutique hotel by the sea. Charming hotel. Room with as quiet with a private spa. Very clean. Extraordinary staff - went above and beyond our expectations daily, from the greeting on arrival to accommodating schedule changes. Delicious breakfast. Met some lovely guests from around the world. Good day! Unfortunately, the holiday at the hotel was ruined, although the staff and management made a lot of efforts to smooth out the situation! This is a classic example of the greed and indifference of the owners to their clients! The declared philosophy and advertising do not correspond to reality. The beautiful architecture and original design are not properly maintained and do not correspond to five stars! The cost of three stars for the price of five! We lived in room 9. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel in our beloved Greece! The staff and cuisine are excellent, but the room is a disaster! Sergey.

Well what an absolute gem this hotel is. Beautiful and clean throughout. Amazing facilities including the spa. And the staff…. Nothing was ever too much hassle. Upon arrival they set you up with the hotel WhatsApp and you can chat with the hotel using this. They did everything for us, booked restaurants, organised travel to and from other towns, gave us advice etc. I feel some people may complain that the service at this hotel is not quick…. But that is by design. Everyone at the hotel wishes you to relax and forget about your usual hassles and woes. The whole resort (which has its own area of the black beach) is intended to make you rest, relax and feel rejuvenated. I would recommend this hotel to anyone without a seconds thought. Thank you all for making our stay so wonderful.

Innocuous but excellent hotel
A lovely small hotel away from the built up areas of Santorini. Very helpful staff, great private beach 50 yards away, but also a fabulous pool. Great breakfasts and good food in the restaurant. Rooms are very comfortable and have a small plunge pool.
Pool area amazing, breakfast also amazing. Overall impression 4 *
Ambience is great. First impression also great. Very nice hotel with 12 suites. Pool area is amazing and never got crowded. Spa area just by the pool. The Lava treatment itself is worth going back for. A la carte breakfast was really good. Nicely presented and tasted just as good...

A la carte breakfast was really good. Nicely presented and tasted just as good as it looked.
Sunbeds by the sea just steps away from the reception. No charge for hotel guests.
Most of the people were very friendly and welcoming however a couple seemed like they did not like their job and made the overalt impression not as good as it could have been.
Not happy about one of the girls in the bar saying she could make what we wanted, but couldn’t. Also the price for the champagne was 36€ for a glass of Möet, ridicilous. Even more expensive than Dubai and Mykonos.

This was our first visit to a Greek island and our seven night stay at Istoria was truly unforgettable.
Istoria is a boutique and very personable hotel with only 12 suites, giving it a peaceful and exclusive feel. The pool area was beautifully designed and incredibly relaxing - perfect for chilled out days.
The staff were great - always helpful and full of excellent recommendations for dining out, ranging from high end restaurants to charming local tavernas. They also gave us great tips for excursions and must-see spots around the island.
A special shoutout to Stellios at the bar - he created a fantastic atmosphere and genuinely went out of his way to make sure every guest felt welcome and well taken care of.
Overall, an exceptional stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back!
