The personal attention of Sunday, won our hearts. Michael, John, Betty, Niki and rest of the staff, were there every day to help with all our needs. To top it, we were created with some of the sweetest treats! Location is fantastic, views are the best and the room was just perfect! 😍 Can’t say enough about this hotel! Thank you for everything!

Loved, loved, loved our stay at this gorgeous property! Michael and John were very responsive to questions and requests made before we arrived, helping us to plan a sunset cruise. Our room was very spacious and beautiful, as we received an upgrade, the views were stunning, and the location was convenient. The restaurant area was also beautiful, and the food delicious. One morning we overslept, and a beautiful array of food was delivered to our room. The entire staff was very helpful and wouldn’t allow us to lift a finger.

All I can say is PERFECTION. This was our second stay in Sunday Suites where we were made to feel like family returning home. The care and attention that Eleftheria (manager) showed to my husband and I was above and beyond. All the staff at this boutique paradise were incredible...

All I can say is PERFECTION. This was our second stay in Sunday Suites where we were made to feel like family returning home. The care and attention that Eleftheria (manager) showed to my husband and I was above and beyond. All the staff at this boutique paradise were incredible and we were made to feel very special (they even put balloons, cake and champagne in our room to celebrate our anniversary). The hotel design is indicative of what Santorini is about with white cave style architecture with the Canaves finesse. If you have the chance to stay here then do it!

We picked this hotel because we wanted to stay in Oia but feel some separation from the massive crowds that come here every summer. What a great choice this hotel was! The location is central, but it's set back, hidden and roped off behind a street. There are are only eight rooms, so it was quiet and the staff and service was spectacular. Every request was filled quickly and efficiently. Our luggage was carried from our car to and from the hotel, which was very helpful on the pedestrian-only cobbled streets of Oia. We were able to go to the sister properties (Canaves Oia Suites and Canaves Oia Epitome) for dinner and to use the spa and (tiny) fitness center. We loved the food at the hotel and ate there every morning and our first evening too. We splurged on the "Master Suite" (room #6) with private pool and it was expensive but truly magical. We used the private pool every day, though the hotel pool was nearby and never crowded. The room itself was small, but serviceable. The architecture is the white on white we all see and love in Santorini. Our bedroom and sitting area had multiple windows for catching the breathtaking views and nighttime breezes, and we had a large two-level deck with covered seating and two chaises with umbrella next to plexiglass rails overlooking the caldera. I highly recommended this hotel for anyone looking for a small but special property in Oia. In late August, the best sunset views were on the northernmost tip of the island, so we went to other spots in Oia to catch the sun drop into the sea (Omnia restaurant at Canaves Oia Epitome was a favorite, but we heard from the staff there that there were many families with children staying at that hotel - there were no children at ours, which was a plus. We love kids, but this was our anniversary trip, so...). We also saw it one night from a boat (Captain Miltos of My Blue Cruises was our gracious host for a private sunset tour of Santorini - we recommend him too!) Note: As many have probably mentioned on TripAdvisor, patios in Oia are perched on a cliff with many stairs, so there is no complete privacy outside because someone could potentially look onto your patio from above (but not below in our case - there was no one below us) and guests can walk past our unit but not enter it. We knew that going in, so we weren't bothered by it at all. Make sure you ask those questions if absolute privacy is your goal.

Fabulous holiday. We had an amazing stay. The location is superb and view’s even better. The staff is over the top, they know you hours after you arrive. The location cannot be beat. The pool is small out often we were the only ones there. Breakfast is delicious as are the fruit plates served by the pool. They use whats app to communicate and it works beautifully. They get your cars wherever you are and never a wait, they planned our catamaran cruise and beach club day and they exceeded our expectations. A few areas they should consider….. need top sheets for the bed and higher quality towels but those are just small details. Beautifully executed with a superior team. Must be a top choice for your visit.

Freedom the manager and V at the front desk were always a delight to chat with and provided friendly and efficient services. Definitely a small boutique hotel that values guests. Enjoyed the welcome celebratory cake and amenities. Thank you for your hospitality!

What a beautiful 5 days at the Canaves Oia Sunday Suites. This is a small hotel with an incredible view and central location in the pedestrian section of the town. Our room was all white of course, a generous size and very comfortable. The experience was fantastic in every way and the food and beverage team including Antonis, Anna, Konstantina, Moses, Nena and Takis as well as chef Margarita made our visit special. They even gave us some dining tips for our next stop in Paros. They were helpful, friendly and did everything they could to make us feel welcome, what an amazing team! I also need to mention the guys who negotiated the stairs with our luggage including our friend ‘donkey’ who helped on departure. Great job guys. We loved every minute. Efharisto poly! We had the most amazing experience at Canaves Sunday Suites. We have been very fortunate to stay in a number of excellent hotels throughout our traveling life, but none were as amazing as our experience at Sunday Suites. They are in an ideal location, close to restaurants and shops, but set back enough that it’s quiet and private. Our room was absolutely stunning. The sheets were crisp and soft, the bathroom was beautiful, and the living area was delightful. We loved our patio and our personal swimming pool. The service and hospitality in the hotel were impeccable. People took time to get to know us and what we wanted from our vacation and helped guide us. The two concierges were outstanding, and their recommendations were spot on. The housekeeping staff did an amazing job. Our room was tidied twice a day. The breakfast every morning were outstanding and the wait staff were a professional and kind. You often hear about Greek hospitality and how wonderful it is: at Sunday Suites they truly exceed expectations. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

I am an avid traveller both on work and leisure with my wife. In all my 30+ years of international travels, this hotel took our breath away in every respect. If you want a memory and experience that lasts a lifetime, this could be it. It certainly was for us....

I am an avid traveller both on work and leisure with my wife. In all my 30+ years of international travels, this hotel took our breath away in every respect. If you want a memory and experience that lasts a lifetime, this could be it. It certainly was for us. From the staff, the location, the views and the property - its just outstanding. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The good: - amazing rooms and views. If you are ambitious, get the honeymoon suite (which we had) and go to heaven! The floors are white and the mixing with the Santorini blue is magical. - staff are there to help you with a smile. Eleftheria who ran the front desk while we were there (with another Russian girl) was excellent. Helped us curate our day, incl tips for restaurants and things to do. - must spend an evening watching the sunset from the rooftop bar. Another heavenly experience. Order your preferred beverage, a botlle of wine and let time go by slowly. - This property is at the highest point of Santorini with the best views you can get. And its in the heart of Oia town. Recommend a morning walk down to the waterfront where the restaurants are for exercise and discovery. Not for the faint hearted. What can improve: Nothing. They are close to perfection, hence the average 5 star rating here. Thats great recognition. The only thing perhaps is that we didnt really try their food, and the breakfast is abaove average, not great. But the views for breakfast will take your breath away and you will forget the food! Canaves team, take a bow! We love you guys.

An absolute jewel of a place ! My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights towards the end of our trip to Greece and even though you hear so much hype about the beauty of Oia and these magical boutique hotels I will say that Canaves Sunday lived up to and exceeded all our expectations .. This was our first trip to Greece and we were leaving our 3 kids behind and looking forward to being pampered and relax and Alytheria and her staff went above and beyond !! She upgraded us from room to 5 to room 4 and this room had an unobstructed view of the caldera ! The pool and bar were never crowded and even though the streets of oia or bustling with cruise traffic during the day the hotel is completly private and not viewable from the streets of oia which is something I was very particular about avoiding ! Highly highly recommend this place . We went and looked at their larger sister property Canaves suites and I would say we made the right choice coming here instead :)
