The buffet breakfast was great. We didn’t have any other meals at the hotel. We ate at peppers restaurant a few mins walk away which was fabulous.
The hotel is beside the new harbour, so was a great setting. We walked o to the old town every day which took. About 35- 40 mins. It is a bit hilly, but we’re reasonably active so it was ok! The beach was about 20 mins walk away. It is called sunset beach. (We saw the sunset!)

Lovely hotel in a great location, overlooking the harbour. We enjoyed exploring Lapad on foot and caught the bus ( 5 min walk to bus stop, slightly uphill) to travel into the old town. Buy your bus ticket from the kiosk at the bus stop next to the pedestrian crossing. The breakfast was excellent and we had several delicious bar meals too. There was always a sunbed available to relax after a few hours sightseeing. The staff were attentive and friendly.
There are several lovely restaurants close by.
No complaints whatsoever. We loved it!

One of the oldest and best hotels in Dubrovnik. We had a superior room overlooking the harbour at the front of the original building (note there is a very large modern annex of over 100 rooms to the rear so hotel is actually quite large). Situated right across from the cruise ship terminal, and only a 5 minute bus into the Old City.
Room was spacious, classic, and clean. Bathroom spotless.
Few small faults so obvious needs some tlc during closed season, but nothing to spoil your day!!
Great swimming pool, but my, was it cold in October.
Restaurant is buffer service for breakfast and dinner (we opted for the 1/2 board but only ate on an evening there once - perfectly good food, but plenty of other choice locally). However, breakfast was great , with all the normally expected stuff (great omelette cooked to order).
Staff were exceptional everywhere, and you can easily see why many have been there for years - when not busy, they're always chatting to each other that shows a good team spirit!
Highly recommended.

Stayed here 3 nights following a cruise. A lovely hotel in a great location near the port. It’s a good walk to the old town mainly uphill going but buses are cheap enough. Remember to buy a ticket before you get on. The old town is very busy especially when the cruise ships are in and Dubrovnik itself isn’t cheap.
The area of Lapad has a lot to offer and there is a strip of bars and restaurants near sunset beach which is nice to walk to after dinner. The bus station is near the port if you want to venture further afield. The room itself was nice with a small balcony which is ok for sitting out reading a book or having a coffee but very overlooked and ours had no view. Beds comfy. Small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Asked reception for an iron and ironing board and these arrived quickly. Would have preferred a walk in shower instead of having to climb into a bath. Bath towels need to be bigger. All staff very friendly. My only downside would be the food. Whilst the choice was ok for a few days we did find the food was only tepid and mentioned this to the staff who replied there was nothing they could do!
Overall a very enjoyable stay

The hotel Lapad is a beautiful hotel set around the marina/port of Dubrovnik. We stayed for 3 nights and would highly recommend. There are local buses that stop a short walk away and take you into the old town and a few restaurants near by. We stayed bed and breakfast and was amazed at the choice, from cereals, cooked items, fresh fruits and fizz 🍾. The beds were very comfortable and we got a free upgrade and given a room with a balcony.
I would definitely stay here again.

We have just got back from Hotel Lapad after staying for 5 nights. Half board. The hotel itself is pleasant enough in a good location for visiting the town and the rooms are clean with all the necessities. However the food really let's the place down in my opinion. Especially the evening meal. It can only be described as being stuck in a time warp. Each night was a selection of beige bland over cooked meats and vegetables were very soggy. The desserts were actually quite nice however on the last night my husband was tucking into some cheescake only to gag on what was an extremely long hair.It is a real shame because potentially this could be a really lovely hotel. If we were to return we would only do bed and breakfast and eat out elsewhere for dinner.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. It has lots of history and is very accessible. Unfortunately Tui did not book us an accessible room but the staff sorted this out the following day and moved us to a lovely room where I could use my mobility scooter and access a walk in shower. The staff were very helpful, the food was varied and there was something for everyone. Drinks are expensive but on a par with the rest of Dubrovnik.
The cleaners did an excellent job.

Fairly good breakfast selection, excellent omlettes, croissants kept hot so are a bit dry. Very good location restaurants near by. All staff very friendly and helpful. The number 6 bus leaves about a 10 minute walk up an incline from the hotel and drops you at the gate of the old town, buy bus tickets at a kiosk one for each journey for under 2€ each. Coming back the bus stop is right opposite the hotel. The beach is about 10 minutes from the bus stop going into the old town. Over all a very good experience at this hotel.

Delighted we chose to stay at Hotel Lapad. Really comfortable quiet room, wonderful selection and quality of food at both breakfast and evening meal - we went half board and were never short of delicious options. Staff were fantastic! Always on hand and could never do enough for you. Evening entertainment was very good; albeit dropped down from 7 nights per week to 3 from end of Sept. Lapad has lots of buses to old town near hotel, you can also catch to other destinations, e.g. Cavtat (which is stunning). Lapad has beautiful marina outside hotel for trips, walks around nearby beaches and to town (c. 45 minutes walk up and down hill or 10 minutes of regular bus for 2.5Euros). Anecdotally we met people staying in old town unhappy with noise, and whilst Old Town is great to walk, shop, drink in, we like quiet when back in hotel room. Hotel is also large enough that all the trips we booked gave Hotel pickups outside!

Mostar and Kravica waterfalls. Superb day out but long.
Kotor and Perast would have been great but poured down with rain and ruined what would have been a good day out.
Boat Trip around Elaphite Islands superb again. Great boat and crew food and drink supplied. All trips booked through Adriatic Explore in Lapad good team.
We ate some wonderful food in the local Restaurants special mention to Yacht Club Orsan at Lapad, Stradun in the Old Town Green burger next door to Lapad Hotel and many others
All in all a wonderful 5 days will come back. Highly recommend all the above

The hotel is about 3km from the old town and despite a couple of hills is walkable in about 40 minutes. The no 6 bus is an easier alternative and stops very near the hotel when you are leaving the old town (you need to walk into Lapad on the way into town as it makes a loop). Would recommend the hotel as the staff are friendly and professional and the standard of the hotel was very good.

Really mixed experience here. Hotel gives a strong first impression - it looks incredible, it's absolutely spotless and clean, wouldn't look out of place in a James Bond movie.
Things go downhill when you scratch the surface, however. We paid for a sea view balcony room, and... well, we got a patio facing a hedge in a small grassy area full of ants, if you stood on the far right you could *just about* see some water in the marina.
I've attached the photos below to let you make up your own mind but I'm not sure there's any universe or language where this could reasonably be considered as advertised. The hotel advertises itself as having aircon - when I noticed it wasn't running after we entered our room (the control pad wasn't doing anything) and it was hitting 23C, my girlfriend phoned down to reception and didn't really get a clear answer. I went down in person to figure it out, and the long and short of it was that the staff weren't willing to switch it on - aircon appears to be 'centrally controlled' (by who or what is unclear), and the guy at the desk tried to suggest that if they did switch it on it would make everyone's room cold. When I pointed out the room had been sold as air conditioned he tried to suggest that 23/24C isn't considered hot and that I should just open the window.
Apparently I wasn't the only guest who complained and it was eventually switched on a day before we left (the prior problems about the entire hotel being cold magically never manifested - I suspect the real reason was they were looking to save money), but Croatia gets hot and it led to some pretty uncomfortable nights - ironically, since we never actually got the balcony we paid for, we didn't feel we could leave the window open overnight as it looked like someone could simply get into the garden through the hedge. There were plenty of minor issues too - we booked a double, and it was twin (though they did immediately make it into a double when we asked), and the room itself was incredibly small, it reminded me of some of the city centre hotels in Tokyo.
Realistically when you're booking somwhere that claims to be a four-star hotel, you don't expect arguments over whether you can have the aircon on or a sea view that looks into a hedge. This was just poor, and the staff didn't appear like they were interested in fixing things.
Breakfast was pretty good but was served in a glass restaurant area that functionally worked like a greenhouse so it was boiling. The pool area looks incredible but because of the layout its right next to the main entry way, so you get people moving their cases through areas that would normally be for sun lounges.
Location wise it looks like its in a much more lively area then it actually is - there are a few restaurants nearby but the Old City is really where its at, and we ended up having to bus it in every day.
I suspect a lot of this may have been down to being slightly out of season (we went in mid-April, right before the cruise ship season), but I really didn't enjoy this place. It's got a long way to go before it can claim to be as good as it does. We're currently working with a package provider to get some money back as it simply didn't provide what was advertised, which isn't really what you want to be doing after a holiday.
Personally, I'd avoid going back.

We loved this hotel. It retains its old and elegant frontage but is backed by modern and very well appointed rooms. Spotlessly clean too. Pool area well maintained.
Everything is nicely done, solid bathroom fittings, good hot water, efficient aircon. Some people grumble about the first floor old building lift to the second lifts in the new block, but it really is no trouble once you get the hang of it.
Service was polite and friendly from everyone we encountered.
Breakfast was extremely high quality with enough choice for it not to get repetitive.
The location is great too. Dubrovnik centre, whilst lovely, can be overwhelming. Lapad is so close and it is easy to get to Dubrovnik by public transport.
We certainly appreciated how easy going and laid back Lapad felt. The hotel faces a harbour, and there is a little beach, plus some great restaurants which are good value for money. After a couple of days into our break we felt like we had struck lucky - a great base in a hotel which still has some charm.

We visited Dubrovnik -again-, this year around a May.
And oh boy, oh boy.... what to tell....
Dubrovnik in general is quite expensive town. If you are first time here, you will be stuck in jams in general.
We decided to Book Hotel Lapad because it is 4 * hotel - but unfortunately, that hotel can be 4* only in Croatia.
First thing we didn't like at all is breakfast. Always the same buffet and without anything to offer.
Room - very small very dated. If you choose 4* hotel - you expect 1) size 2) new stuff inside the room etc.
Basically you can se how management, ownership or who the? run hotel, does not care. But how than also doesn't care someone who gave 4 stars ?
Pool - also dated. Garden ?
- What to tell about garden, they had private meeting.
Imagine you pay 200+ per day, and there was info on entrance that it's private event. Ha ha. I just laughed, and tell myself I put again reviews on Dubrovnik hotels and their management.
At the end, air con. They don't have air con in 2025. Now imagine this. Management explained to me they have central system and it cost 200+ per day which can't be used...
At the end my advice for person(s) who run this hotel - is to avoid tourism in general, this should be 2* maximum hotel.

Beautiful hotel on the marina front, smallish pool , great accommodation , staff and breakfast.
It has a bar and restaurant as well as a garden room
Staff are very professional and friendly.
A short walk to Shelby’s bar and further into the heart & promenade area with numerous bars & places to eat. This leads you to sunset beach.
Bus stops are plentiful. The 6 takes you to the Old Town where you can walk the walls for 40 euros- it is worth it for the stunning views. You can take a cable car too if you prefer a higher view point.
Inside the walls you can enjoy a cocktail 15 € or a pint 10€.
There is even an Irish pub- very authentic.
You can spot the GOT scenes ie. the ‘shame steps’.
We also took a boat trip to the Elphiti Islands- €60 , the Regina Maris is my recommendation.
We took a bus trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina too which although a lovely tour & destination was very lengthy & border control was tight.
Our favourite place to eat was Maskeron, fab pizzas!
Shelby’s do great snack food too- it’s a Peaky Blinders themed pub & very popular
One last thing - do the scenic walk around the peninsula. You’ll not regret it
Copacabana beach and the coastline are beautiful.
Enjoy.

Situated by the Marina in Lapad a 40 minute walk with lovely views in to Old Town or alternatively you can take the no. 6 bus.
We stayed bed & breakfast which provided a good cooked breakfast as well as continental with a wide variety of fresh baked bread. Fruit and cereal selection which we could not fault. Rooms are well appointed. We had room 21 on the second floor Marina views. Whilst no balcony the views were breath taking with traditional shutters on the windows. There were low key bands playing in the evenings until 23.00hrs which were excellent. The Hotel had a perfect location as after a very busy day in the heart of the Old town it was good to chill in a calmer environment. Plenty of restaurants in the area of the hotel. Worth wondering round to the other side of the Marina where the cruise ships dock, as some lovely restaurants to be found.
If you are on a tight budget, Dubrovnik may not be for you, It is not a cheap City break. Prices for food, wine and beer in restaurants is very expensive and if you see cheaper food, check out the prices of drink as that is where they sting you if you don’t check before sitting down. As an example 125ml house wine 8 euros minimum.
None the less loved the place and surrounding area of Lapad, views are stunning, and last but not least, The Hotel Lapad is definitely recommended.

We had a fantastic 7 night stay at this hotel. It was the perfect base for exploring both Dubrovnik’s old city and the Dalmatian coast. The hotel is conveniently located a 10 minute bus or uber ride from the old city, and within walking distance of nearby beaches, bars and restaurants. There’s a lovely walking trail that begins a few minutes to the left of the hotel to take in some of the quieter beaches.
Our room (in the newer building of the hotel) was very clean and comfortable and the cleaning staff were excellent and very friendly if you bumped into them in the morning. Air con was good and kept the room cool. Bathroom was clean and well cleaned throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious and lots of variety of hot and cold options. Pool area was kept clean and tidy and there was plenty of sun beds and places to sit as well as towels to use if you needed. The reception desk staff were very friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile when entering or leaving. It was also interesting to learn about the history of the buildings that the hotel now occupies! On our last day, we were able to store our luggage as our flight wasn’t until late.
We had a really great experience and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Dubrovnik.

We had one of the newer rooms with a balcony and view over the water to Gruz. The rooms were comfortable with very nice bathrooms.
Opposite the hotel is a large marina with a nice cafe/restaurant. We ate there several times. There are restaurants within a 2 minute walk from the hotel which we visited. They are all really good with great food and friendly service - Peppers was a fave with us.
I highly recommend Hotel Lapad. My only very minor fault is that the evening buffet food wasn't very warm but the quality was good. Loved the lasagna !!
